Planet Nemo Animation president, Frédéric Puech, steps down from company to form Play Big

According to multiple sources, Planet Nemo Animation president Frédéric Puech announced in a brief statement on Monday, June 10th that he has stepped down as president of Planet Nemo Animation (a company he founded) after 15 years to launch a new production and distribution company entitled Play Big.

According to Variety, Play Big will be "a distribution company launched in partnership with Paris and Lille-based services and production entity Something Big".

According to TV Kids, "The newly formed Something Big will offer tailored creative and production services to third parties. Script to screen services include script writing, design, storyboarding, editing and compositing. China’s Benlai Pictures(Superbuilders) and Japan’s Tezuka Productions (Astro Boy) have both come on board as clients."

Frédéric Puech, along with Planet Nemo Animation, announced in April 2016 that they were making Go Astro Boy Go along with Tezuka Productions. It is unclear whether Planet Nemo Animation is still involved with the production of Go Astro Boy Go or whether Play Big will finish producing Go Astro Boy Go.
