-The party was in full swing, and everyone seemed to be having the time of their lives. You look on at the faces of all your friends and enjoy how each one seemed lost in their own little world as time escaped all of you. You felt a hand rest itself on your shoulder all of a sudden and when you turn you see that it's simply Takemaru giving you the widest smile. "What're you doin' over here?" He asked. "The party's goin on over there!" You admitted you just needed some time to rest. Everything's been so much fun you'd hate to burn yourself out. The Oni laughed. "That's fair." You returned the question to him and wondered why he wasn't being social. "Ya got me there. Truth is I saw your cute face sitting all by yourself and thought you could use some company." You had to admit- that was pretty smooth of him. "I know, right?" He chuckled, completely shattering the cool guy persona he had on just a moment before. You smirked at him for breaking character so quickly before he got defensive, insisting that as an Oni he was always 'cool'. After working out all the laughs from one another you did end up thanking him for keeping you company. "Course, no need to thank me for that. I'm always gonna stick with ya. You know that, right?" Of course. He's been with you this long…

-"Not just now, I wanna… ya know…?" His tone shifted from his usual laid back and casual vibe to a much more sentimental feeling. This was causing him to grow a bit tongue tied and stutter his words. "We could… d-do this sorta stuff all the time, Y-Yeah?" Did he mean the party, or… "Yes- wait, nonono!" His flustered fit was hopelessly pathetic, but it would be a lie if you said that it didn't captivate you. The Oni lets out a strangled noise that could hardly be called a word. You told him you liked him as he was and this seemed to calm him down enough to form coherent sentences again. “You… mean it?” Well, of course. Not a day has gone by where you haven’t gotten tired of him, and you don’t plan on that happening for the years to come.

- “Good then. I… like being around you too.” He admitted bashfully. “I hope we can be together for many years to come.” You wanted that to. The two of you share a toast before rejoining the party- hand in hand.
