I used to be a massive Doctor Who fan but stopped following it halfway through the Matt Smith era.
I think @neil-gaiman's episode is the last good one I remember watching.
I got really annoyed with Steven Moffat's tendency to turn his characters into Super Jesus with everyone everywhere constantly orgasming over how utterly incredible they are.
He did it with the Eleventh Doctor and he did it with Sherlock Holmes. After a while it felt like watching a Steven Seagal movie if Seagal was a science fiction nerd rather than a fake marital arts master.
Man, I remember writing blogs and social media posts dissecting every episode as a college student and all my so-called friends calling me a whiny bitch in the comments.
Anyway, I just randomly came across David Tennant on my feed and that got me wondering... How were Doctors 12 and 13?
The internet seems to hate 13 but was that because she was poorly written or was it almost exclusively because she was a she?
I don’t think we talk enough about the fact that the tenth Doctor canonically tried to kill himself after losing Rose and he would’ve succeeded if Donna hadn’t stopped him
I need you guys to understand just how hot Rose was in New Earth. Ten's FIRST episode that wasn't a special but she absolutely stole the show. She left not a single crumb. And don't get me STARTED on her kiss with Ten. That was EVERYTHING. I know that technically that was Cassandra, but we don't have to talk about that. This is in my top three episodes so far because of literally everything. Rose was SO attractive here and honestly if I watched Doctor Who when I was younger and saw Rose in this episode, she would've been my queer awakening 100%. I don't understand how ANYONE could look at her and not be like "wow, women are so incredible"
This shitty meme brought to you by "bel finally watches classic who and realises there's no exaggeration whatsoever in how well this ship's been sailing since 1971"
i wish there was more blood in doctor who. like i get that they want to keep it family-friendly and all but. when the master got shot in LotTL his blood should’ve ended up all over the doctor’s hands and clothes. i think that would’ve been neat. and by neat of course i mean emotionally devastating
