Like, before that one anon ask that kickstarted all the hcs, Ash was the one I wrote in my hcs as Alola's champ, and ofc the dynamics are a bit different, but like, I changed it to Hau bc I thought that y'know Hau deserved better too ig I think he deserves to be Champion hahah

That plus I ended up sticking to game characs bc I don't watch the anime much so yeah (but y'know, technically Ash is part of the game verse now in PokeMas but hey, at this point I got attached to Hau now lmao)

For the M8 thing I honestly don't know bc if we go w my hcs of it instead then I'd put in Geeta in his place, cause if Alola's League was still new and their first champion got to the M8, why not Paldea's League too? The year was 1972 and I was leading my team on an expedition. We were looking for anything interesting really. I had accidently stumbled upon an unmarked tomb. When we opened the sarcophagus, we found the body of Queen Raven. Stories have been told of her for years. It was said that she was put to death by her kingdom's priests for her wickedness. The method of execution was to mummify by pouring embalming liquid down her nose. They then cut off her hand with an ax and buried all of her evil relics with her. They thought that since her body was incomplete, then she would never be able to raise from her tomb to inflict her evilness. The hand was taken out of the tomb and fed to the jackals. However, when we opened the tomb her hand was laying with her and still bleeding. Her body was perfect. Not even a hint of decaying. 

“Look at her…” I said in shock. 

“Professor, she-she looks the same!” Professor Clarke said. 

“I know… it’s incredible!” I said. 

“She’s still bleeding, sir.” Professor Bellamy said. 

“Quick! Someone get me the medkit!” I said. 

“Here you are, Professor.” Professor Monty said as he handed it to me. 

“Thank you.” I said and quickly opened it. I carefully stitched her hand back on to her body and stepped back. A green light filled the room and her eyes slowly fluttered open. 

“P-Professor?” Clarke stuttered. Queen Raven gasped for air and slowly sat up. 

“Who are you? What are you doing in my chambers?” She asked with a glare. I quickly kneeled and took placed my hat to my chest. 

“Your majesty.” I said. 

“Speek.” She commanded. 

“Your majesty, you’ve been dead for thousands of years. You’ve been in an unmarked tomb where you were murdered by your priests. I’ve come to free you from your prison. 

“Professor? What’s happening?” Bellamy asked. 

“Silence!” Queen Raven shouted and Bellamy was forced into silence, he couldn’t say another word unless the Queen let him. 

“Please, your majesty, allow me to be your humble servant.” I said and she looked down at me with a smirk. 

“You shall prove to be useful in regaining my kingdom.” She said. She raised her scepter and tapped me on each shoulder. My clothes instantly changed to one of the servants. The other Professors turned to run, but the Queen stopped them with her powers. 

“You three will also become my loyal servants.” She said and their clothes also turned to servant clothes. 

“As you wish my Queen.” They said in a monotone voice. 

“Come servants, we have a kingdom to rule!” She said and laughed evily. The four of us quickly built her a throne that we could carry her on. We carried her out of the tomb and she looked around confused. 

“Slave, what are all these weird contraptions.” She asked. 

“They are called cars, my Queen. They are an invention to get people from one place to another.” I said. 

“A… car? Interesting. You will take me to the place that has all my possessions.” She commanded us. 

“Yes my Queen.” We all said. 

I got in the driver's seat and we all got in the car. I drove us to the airport, where we got there and pulled up to our private plane that the museum allowed us to take. Each of us helped the Queen with her things and helped her on to the plane. 

“What is this?” She asked as Clarke helped her into the seat. 

“It’s a plane, my Queen. People invented them for humans to fly in the sky.” I explained. 

“Plane… We’re going to fly in the sky?” She asked. 

“Yes, my Queen.” We all answered. 

“Get moving then.” She said and we all bowed. Each of us got seated and the plane took off. We were returning home with our Queen. I’d say it was a successful expedition.

dex completion here is hard bc i don’t get to the point of checking and making lists of what i’m missing until i get very close to completion; i just rely on instinct and my own memory to think of whether i have something or not. which is tough when it comes to all the sinnoh pokémon that weren’t in the base game but are now here in the dlc. because instinct says i’ve seen and caught and battled these a thousand times, i don’t need to catch them, oh wait that was a different game actually i need them
