Test Dept. - Beating The Retreat Cassette
Test Department's were pretty much in their prime at this point with their primal percussive sound. This was released on Some Bizzare so it’s out of print and fair game. An essential mid 80′s Industrial release.
Get it from my Google Drive HERE.

Diamanda Galas & Test Dept.: The Convention Of Hysteria (1985)
I never caught up to Diamanda Galas but yet I always hear about her. It’s one of many from the long list of artists I should’ve brushed up on already. So what would be my own entry point into the world of Galas? The performance she did on February 3, 1985 with Test Dept. at London’s Albany Empire. If, like me, you’re more inclined towards Test Dept.’s earlier metal-on-metal era, then you’ll certainly get a ton of it. Though both artists had their own time on separate days of the festival, on day three they both came together for a non-written performence. Galas had three or four microphones taped to each other while Test Dept. banged away (with one of them out of view and up near the top of the venue firing off). Technical difficulties arose but both Galas and Test Dept. fought forward anyway without the electronics. Diamanda went off as if her body, mind, and soul were taken over in a stream-of-consciousness-type rally and had the evil forces-that-be pilot her vocal art-performance for miles. Test Dept. backed her up with their rigorous force and arsenal of metals and objects; more-than-determined to get the job done no matter what the cost or error. Not a well-known moment, but a notable one at that with both at their great game early on in their careers.
No official release of this exists, and no one is 100% certain if Galas or another party bootlegged it themselves.
