I’ve been in a discord chat group for a year, or more, and one of the rooms I’ve liked the most was the Transformers room. And OH SWEET SOLUS PRIME... :3 is it good.

Started in March of last year, a couple of friends of mine from another chat group made this room for transformers. It was a room that combined the ENTIRE FRANCHISE of the Transformers. Its IDW, G1, Aligned, Animated, Cyberverse, Unicron Trilogy, Beast Wars, and live-action all tied in one universe. Now, we did re-enactments based from the movies and even those based from episodes of various series, even relived good quotes from excellent characters, which were good. But we had to... alternate a few things.

- character death to a minimum (but certain characters were able to come back)

- re-write canon characters in a way to fit backgrounds

- insert/replace another character or two in an re-enactment

- being creative to make OCs

One of example was bringing Sari Sumdac (using the older/upgraded version) in this role-play and how she fits in it. xD; Its gonna be a long one.

In this universe, Sari was made as for a Pretender Initiative and sent to Earth. But her stasis pod had a malfunction as she was coming into the atmosphere of the planet. She was still alive, but her transmitter had gone out upon entry and the Autobots thought she perished. Years later she served WWII in the Nazi killing mission (replaced Bummblebee from the Last Knight), after that, she went back into stasis, and was found by the Autobots. And once she met the others, they were eleated. Like Animated she saw the Allspark, got her key and gotten her upgrade mode. Later on on a mission, she saved Optimus from being finished off by Megatron... USING HER TRANSFORMER MODE based from her cancelled toy design by TFCC... and blew the Decipticon leader away. She met the other Autobots stationed on Earth, stayed behind on some missions, lost her key in a mission that dealt with Thunderwing but managed to get it back and even helped to destroy him (Prime video game), fled Earth with a group when Optimus died (G1 movie), help the others save Ratchet and Landmine (Prime and Cybertron respectively), even getting the Speed Cyber-planet key (also Cybertron), met the kids from both Prime and Cybertron, battled Nemesis Prime under the control of the Quintessons, saved Earth from being enslaved to repair Cybertron (Dark of the Moon), also had to stop Nemesis Prime with others to get Optimus back (Last Knight again) AND reload the Matrix of LEadership (replaced Jack from Prime)...

Okay so basically the story jumps from one to the other, but Sari has helped on missions with those she helps with.

<.<; Also... I may or may not had her kissed Miko in the ending re-enactment of Revenge of the Fallen. I ship it.

The Paradron Medics set was an Amazon exclusive two-pack, featuring the Autobot medic, Ratchet (Earthrise), and the Paradron medic Lifeline (Siege Arcee)

Ratchet

Vehicle Mode:

The ambulance mode looks really good…from some angles. Hasbro did a mostly good job at capturing the vannette design, until you looks at from the back…

…The back of the van are the exposed robot feet.

I mean I can understand that for the Siege line considering it’s a Cybertronian mode, but for Earthrise Ratchet is supposed to be blending in on Earth and it just doesn’t look good.

Comparing Siege Ratchet and the Earthrise versions

Transformation:

Robot Mode:

Much like Earthrise Ironhide, I am diggin’ this Ratchet. I mean, I don’t know what else to say. Aside from the robo feet sticking out of the ambulance, the robot is great. He stands well, poses well, doesn’t have any major flow such as loose joints; it’s a good toy.

I like the fact that in order to minimize some of the bulk the roof becomes a shield in bot mode (or maybe medical gurney). Ratchet has a gun similar to the G1 platform gun. It might have been nice for the roof also convert into something similar to the G1 weapons platform, but I’m not married to that idea.

Lifeline

Vehicle Mode:

Lifeline transforms into a teal and white Cybertronian car, and I gotta say I’m not too keen on it.

This car mode doesn’t roll well at all. For the life of me I couldn’t pack the robot kibble away properly.

As you can see, looking underneath of the vehicle mode, Lifeline is pretty much a shell-former.

When comparing Lifeline to the TF Collector’s Club version it just doesn’t have that same personality, or flare to it.

I prefer the TFCC car mode because of her curves (Yea, I’m a guy, what do you expect) but the vehicle also really reminds me of a Corvette Stingray.

Transformation:

Transformation to robot mode isn’t a huge pain, but it’s not fun.

Robot Mode:

Robot mode is…an improvement over the vehicle mode, but there are still issues with it.

Much like Siege Arcee, Lifeline’s backpack is bulky, and I think it just looks bad. Removing it just cleans up the bot mode.

Final Thoughts:

In my opinion Earthrise Ratchet is an improvement over his Siege counterpart, while Lifeline is just okay. Again, much like Earthrise Arcee, the TFCC version has a better vehicle mode. It’s great seeing a convention exclusive get the retail treatment...(though it was an Amazon exclusive...) Well, it’s good seeing Lifeline getting a second chance for collector’s to have her, even though this mold might not be as good. I have mixed feelings.
