Fave episode:

Hard question! In some ways Deadloch feels more like a movie to me than like a series, I forget where one episode ends and the next begins.

Probably E6. I loved how Abby acts while poisoned, and I loved her breaking up with James. I loved Eddie continuing to care about Dulcie: how protective Eddie gets, how concerned Eddie is when Dulcie is obviously really not okay (during/after the confrontation with Skye, and during their boat ride). I loved Dulcie acting...a bit more casual, with Abby; I loved their dialogue on the island ("James said I was out of my mind." "You are not, Abby, you are entirely in your mind"). I loved Holly Austin's performance as Skye, her anger and hurt when she's being questioned.

And I LOVED Cath and Dulcie's fight, and how it feels like we finally see both of them clearly, we finally understand why they each are the way they are at this point in their lives. We see how deeply miserable and frustrated Dulcie is in this town and in her marriage, and why she's been trying so hard to make it work anyway. We see how Cath has been in an anxious spiral for so long -- on some level, since the affair -- and we start to understand that this is how she got to this point, where she really is completely disconnected from the reality of Dulcie's job.

Also this is a bit weird but I actually loved the final scene in E6, when Dulcie finds the bobbing bodies in the lake, because the music was so beautiful and the way it was shot was weirdly so pretty and dreamlike. It's a scene about discovering corpses and it's...gorgeous? Oops?

I also just loved E8 so much because it gives us the payoff of Eddie, Dulcie and Abby truly working together, the way it always seemed they could. And because I SO DEEPLY LOVE the happy ending where Eddie and Dulcie and Cath end up together in Darwin, and I LOVE the subtext that they're in some kind of triad or throuple or vee or whatever else they might call it.

2. Fave scene:

I loved the end of E5, where we see Abby and Dulcie and Eddie each thinking alone about the murders and trying alone to solve the mystery: Abby with her arsine, Dulcie spotting the newspaper photo of Jimmy on the cross, Eddie noticing the speeding ticket Mike gave to Skye (and then the Doorbell bathroom stall graffiti). We see that each one of them is smart and is working on solving it, but that they're working separately still: Abby goes alone to the high school, to test her theory. Dulcie hasn't yet told Eddie that she suspects Skye, even though the clues are really piling up in her mind. The three of them aren't yet communicating well enough to really be a team.

I loved the way this was shown because it really had me rooting for them to realize that they'd be smarter together, that they needed to lean on each other more and communicate better and brainstorm together. This montage made me really invested in that arc, in them learning to work together.

I also loved Eddie confronting Dulcie about that, really taking her to task for it -- but then also having so much compassion and understanding about why this is hard for Dulcie, to consider one of her closest friends as a suspect. I love that Eddie really gets what a terrible situation Dulcie's in with this, and hates to see her in pain, even though Eddie's still committed to doing what's right and pursuing Skye as the most likely suspect.

4. Fave joke or bit:

How Eddie and Cath are both so nonchalant about mentioning sex, and how uncomfortable/flustered this makes Dulcie, and how Eddie immediately clocks this and leans into it harder. My favorite moment is when Cath texts Dulcie a pic of her boobs and Dulcie accidentally opens the image while at work and can't figure out how to close it again and is super flustered...and Eddie obviously sees the pic, is totally unperturbed and seems, if anything, mildly amused by Dulcie's reaction.

5. Fave character:

I can't choose between Dulcie and Eddie.

I'm most similar to Dulcie; I relate to her the most. I love her secretiveness, her shame. I love how ethical she is and I love how it shows up at work as a willingness to let minor/harmless crimes slide where possible. I love that she wants to be gentle with people, even when they're behaving badly. I love her shyness, her hesitation to be herself with people. I love the person we start to see emerging in the last few episodes and in the epilogue. I love her bravery and I love her fear.

I admire Eddie the most. Not as much during the first 3 episodes; I see them as someone who, at that time, was in too much pain to notice much else. But after that: I love their anger, how they're not too afraid to stick up for other people, and for themself. I love how loyal they are, and how protective of the people they care about. I love their rudeness and how selectively they deploy it; even though they don't seem to be taking much care with that, they really are. I love their frankness and I love how perceptive they are about people. I love their honesty and I love how ethical they are -- they break the rules sometimes but they really care about doing the right thing. And I love the way they look at Dulcie, particularly in episodes 6-8: it's so intimate. I see Eddie as someone who's extremely warm and loving, when they feel close to someone.

Thats not a question but i want to thank you for "Down in the dungeons"! I normally don't liek reading long stories but it cathed me and i think it's written sooo well! :) I just read chapter 10 (with the bg music) and i totally loved it! I'm so excited to read on. Awh thank you so much dear, I'm so so happy you're liking the story so far! 🥺💕💕💕 Ch.10 is definitely still one of my favourites 🥰 I have replied to a similar question recently, and not to give you spoilers but the first part of the story (which I like to call "Veronica's arc") is approaching its ending and I'm thinking of a shorter part 2, but I don't know the exact number of chapters really.

I just hope you'll keep reading and enjoying the story and art that comes with it <3 as I said, I genuinely hope to be able to keep working on this because I love what these characters have become, but I also look forward to give them a resolution and established story instead of leaving them hanging and half-finished ^^

Yeah, I post/reblog a lot. Many things. So I believe that it's hard to find everything on dash and scroll and scroll and scroll. Archive has a tag system. So if you search an archive you can choose the tags. All my comics are tagged as #mcdanno comics and all should be visible both: on my blog and in Tumblr search engine (sometimes it sucks but generally is ok). You can also (in Tumblr search engine) type #mcdanno or #h50 and find the newest posts (not only mine). I've made five McDanno Comics so far (plus one photo meme with Cath and her badge) - if you use archive then you should find them all.

One comics per week? It depends on me and my brain's ideas 😉 At this moment my brain is full of McDanno and I've got at least four more ideas so yes, one per week... it's possible. Maybe even more than one. I will try, ok? 🙂

Hello! I've been rereading your Wolfblood series for days (and your Accidental Warlord series for years), and I cannot express how happy and grateful I am for them. Thank you so so so much 💖💖💖

Please have this smol plot bunny as a token of my unending gratitude.

Sometimes I find myself imagining how it'll go if Milena of the Wolfblood verse swaps places with Jaskier of the Accidental Warlord verse, maybe due to a spell that went awry?

The chaos and the worry and the discoveries that'll ensue all around will be divine.

Consort Jaskier scandalizing everyone (or as scandalized as Wolfblood can get) and maybe teaching bard bach Jaskier how to get up to all sorts of mischief. The fact that he smells so strongly of Geralt and Eskel will surely not go unnoticed.

Cath fach Milena shocking and confusing the Warlord and his witchers with how she smells both of Aiden and Lambert. How she'll tell it to the council (and how the local Milena, Lambert, and Aiden will react) will surely be delightful.

I think both Milena and Jaskier would also delight in the differences of their worlds and how some things (like the love of their family) remain the same.

How or where they swap also has great potential for chaos. Maybe one moment Jaskier is performing for his witchers and the next moment cath fach is standing in his place, smelling undeniably of her lovers.

The reunions will be fantastic as well once they figure out how to return the displaced dimension travelers back to their homes.

Maybe wolfblood Aiden is the first through the portal, and he'll hug and kiss Milena right in the Warlord's great hall. Wolfblood Lambert not far behind.

It could also work the other way, with Eskel Amber-Eyed and the White Wolf tackling their well-missed Lark in the wolfblood's great hall.

This dimension travel story has been living in my brain rent-free for a few days now, but I'm not sure when I can actually flesh it out.

So if anyone wants to pick up this tiny plot bunny, go and run wild with it 💖💕

This is delightful! Worldswapping would confuse everyone, but probably not as badly as, say, canon characters ending up in either.

That's a great question, thanks for asking. 💕 I need a second to give actual answers and not very basic ones, otherwise I'd say Ollie wants to go out of his room for once and Cath would like some vacations, so here I go:

Oliver has expressed his desire to spend time around bodies of water, like a lake or even a pond in which he could stare at the fishes the whole day and even feed them some bread crumbs. The thing is, water terrifies him, so he isn't getting near a pond or a lake anytime soon. He's afraid he might get eaten by some sea monster or something of the sort.

There are lots of things he doesn't do because he's scared, this is one of those things.

Diana would love to participate in tournaments, but she hasn't not only because she isn't allowed to (Queen's orders) but also because the kingdom's people don't take her seriously. And she hates them, so. // Alternatively she would love to spend a day taking care of tiny animals— you know, instead of hunting them. She's scared she'll do a poor job or accidentally crush them under her grip, so she has never tried it.

Catherine would spend a whole day (hell, even weeks if needed) learning something that, to most, would sound useless. Like plant names, or the story preceding a historical monument, or just traveling for fun. She is terrified of leaving her kingdom to fend for itself though, because she believes that, if she were to leave even for a second, everything might fall apart.

I guess this means Ollie wants to go out of his room and Catherine would like vacations. Diana just wants to hold a rabbit without having to end its life 🥲

Edit: That’s ok, I’m not pro at math either. I just learned that it was recently confirmed that NaruHina got married on May 8th. I knew it was during spring time and I thought their wedding would be about late March-early April. Now, we definitely can assume Sai and Ino dated for around 7-9 months before marriage. Sai did mature a lot post Inojin. That means Naruhina dated for around 4 months before marriage. This also confirms Sakura started traveling with Sasuke around 1 month later.
