Okay sending you another ask to freak out about 1989 Taylors Version with you!!! I kinda forgot about the show last night and that we were supposed to be clowning..and I wasn't on my phone much so I didn't see when she was displaying the blue outfits and stuff. I thought it would be kinda soon and was maybe expecting an announcement at the end of this month..but it gives me more to be excited for! I also kinda forgot it was the last show for now but it makes sense why she would want to announce it there. I saw a Taylor Nation went live notification and freaked out! The first thing I actually saw on Insta was the cover of Emily Henrys new book and apparently they are also making Meet Me at the Lake into a movie I guess. Then I went to Taylors page and it said the photo was posted only a minute ago. I know other people following or at the show knew earlier but that's one of the only times I've been that early in an announcement lol. Also the fact that it has the same original release date!!! This is also her first album cover where she's actually smiling which is something I never even noticed or thought about before now. I love the cover and think it might be my new favorite next to Red TV. I like that she actually has sky blue in the cover since before..I usually thought of the color as more white or beige lol. Midnights is also blue and white too. It seems kinda uneven that this one has the title and the others didn't though but there must be a reason. Also what she said about the vault songs..and the new Polaroid's and the colors makes me more excited too! Even if there is only 5 vault songs this time compared to six. Who would you want her to collab with? Also my musical blog is wickedsweeneyfromsantafe..which combines four of my favorite musicals lol and I just never changed it. My main blog is gwen-stace like from the Amazing Spiderman and my Taylor blog is queenofmyhearrts I think..cuz she is the queen of my heart. I have a very specific way of postinglike one theme a day on my blogs for some reason and I don't have personal posts or anything. My main blog includes movies and shows and my sideblogs are like a way to keep track of things for me I guess..like with Taylor's career and musicals I watch or see and all edits and gifs I like. The only reason I send on anon is cuz my messages get long but follow if you want!
i cannot wait for 1989 (taylor's version)!! what track(s) are you most excited for, aside from the vault tracks? i personally am most excited for you are in love, new romantics, wonderland, clean and style! and eee — i really like the uk cover for funny story (the new emily henry)! i'm debating on just preordering it from waterstones, because i really don't like hardback covers for romances. and that's so so exciting that it was posted right when you saw it — what a coincidence! i really love that she's smiling in the cover; i've seen a lot of people comment on how they don't like specific things, but i love it and the fact that she's so smiley in it makes me so happy !! i've always associated 1989 with a light beige/tan color (and debut with light blue), but i do love the blue for it! there are so many people i'd like her to collab with, but i think she's been leaning more towards artists that she was influenced by during that era in terms of collabs — i was thinking of haim, since they opened for her on 1989 tour but i don't know if she'd collab with them again given gasoline and no body no crime. what about you? who would you want her to collab with? and i just followed you on all three blogs 🤍 !! we can keep talking on anon if you'd like, or we can talk in dms; totally up to you! xx

Yesterday, Sunday, I went to The Eras Tour. I was supposed to go on friday but it got cancelled, so my concert ended up being the last one in Argentina; and by the way, this was my first concert ever,
This was the most magical and exciting experience of my life. I don't even know what to say, but I'm so so happy we made Taylor feel so loved and we showed the power of our crowd to her.
Tumblr media
I will talk about this concert, one. era. at a time.
Before the concert began, I talked with the girl who was on the seat next to me; she was so nice! I gave her bracelets. We talked about our favourite albums, which surprise songs we wanted... that was so relieving for me, since I am so so SO shy and I was feeling so nervous.
1. Lover
It's been a long time coming for sure. I was already screaming the songs, I was tearing up, I couldn't believe I was there. It all felt like a dream... It was funny to sing "You Need To Calm Down", when I was the one who needed to calm down!! hahaha.  When Lover started, I felt the need to hug someone and I NEVER hug people; that's the power Taylor has.
2. Fearless
Oh god. This era was when my mind started going "this can't be happening. oh my god. this is awesome. i need to contact little me and tell her what's going on. oh my god oh my god.". I grew up more with Red and 1989, but there were songs from Fearless (debut and speak now, too) that I've been listening to forever (& always). You Belong With me is one of them. There was a thing Spotify made last year, it was like a time capsule of songs, one of the questions was "which song would you want to hear live this year?", and I chose "You Belong With Me".        It happened.        My mind remembers the music video, hating the cheerleader, loving the nerd, the story this song tells will always warm my heart.
3. Evermore
This era was so chaotic and fun and it felt like I was watching a movie!! I mean, Tolerate It and Willow? AHHHHHHHHHH. Before Champagne Problems, Taylor said that it took her a while (yeah haha) to come to Argentina and she's never going to make that mistake again. So possibly for her next tour she'll come here again and I am so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
4. reputation
EVERYONE WAS SCREAMING "VA A REPUTAAAAAAR!! AAAAAAAAAAHhh!!". I got to experience the "1, 2, 3, let's go bitch" in person!! and I listened to the high notes in Ready For It? and Don't Blame Me live!!!!!!!!! AND Look What You Made Me Do live was HEALING. IT WAS A HEALING EXPERIENCE, it just hit so hard!!! GOOOOOD.
5. Speak Now
Ah ah ah, Ah ah ah. I WAS ENCHANTED TO MEET YOU, TAYLOR. Seeing her in that gorgeous dress, singing Enchanted: it was a fairytale. And I cried my eyes out during Long Live. SOMEDAY, WE WILL BE REMEMBERED.
6. Red
I remember this album (the original version) was the latest album Taylor had released when I found out about her and her music. So hearing these songs live was magical. I don't know about you, but I'm feeling 22! Also, honourable mention to Taylor's dancer who screamed "¡ni en pedo!" the three nights. I LOVED THAT. I Knew You Were Trouble is an ICONIC Taylor Swift song and I'm so happy I got to experience it. And of course, All Too Well... the whole stadium was red. All the bracelets were burning red. Everyone screamed "fuck the patriarchy!". I'll remember this all too well.
7. folklore
"So we have brought the folklore cabin to Argentina, haven't we?". folklore is another album that feels like a movie, or a book; when you see Taylor laying down and singing "you meet some woman on the internet and take, her, home..." you forget you're in the stadium full of people for a second. Betty! oh god! I will never forgive James for what he did to you. I'm sorry I sing along to every line of his apology. OH MY GOOOOOOOOOOD and that transition, from August to Illicit Affairs- AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! Illicit Affairs is my second favourite song on folklore (after mirrorball). DON'T. CALL. ME. KID. DON'T. CALL. ME. BABY.
8. 1989
I stayed out too late last night and I loved every second of it. I danced a lot during the 1989 era and it was so so fun. I adore the Bad Blood coreography; and the fact that there was FIRE during this song. AHHHHHH. I could feel the heat!! It was awesome!!!
SURPRISE SONGS
Was this even real? I still can't believe it. She sang BETTER THAN REVENGE. I thought she'd never EVER sing this song again. Better Than Revenge is the song I play in my bedroom so loud that if someone screams in another room, I wouldn't hear them. It's one of my favourite songs. I could have never guessed this was going to be my surprise song, however, I am MORE than happy that it was.
Then, "Slut!". This was such a clever combination, I mean, Better than Revenge + Slut? It's so great. I remember when I first listened to Slut, it felt so nostalgic (well, probably because it was written 10 years ago haha). Taylor's voice was magical.
instagram
9. Midnights
And finally, Midnights. I started to feel a bit sad because I knew that the show was about to end now, but I decided to give it my all and 'be the loudest woman this town has ever seen'. Lavender Haze, Anti-Hero, Midnight Rain, Vigilante Shit, Bejeweled, Mastermind, Karma... every song was phenomenal. I love how she made the decision to end the show with Karma, such a fun song to leave us dancing and wanting more. Thank you, Taylor Swift. I love you. !!

Taylor Swift Albums Reviews
Hello my lovely blog readers,
I want to thank those of you who stick around through all my crazy rants and long Glee posts. You guys are the real MVPs and I will always appreciate you.
Anyway onto why we're here, in the wake of Taylor rereleasing her albums I found it fitting to take a look back at her discorgaphy so far! Thanks to my good friend Aly, I decided to relisten to all of her albums which the order was randomly decided. I will be talking about the deluxe editions so enjoy!
Let's start off with the first album that was drawn first which was Red.
Tumblr media
One of my favorite albums right off the bat with probably her best album cover. I remember how excited I was for 22, mostly because my girl Dianna Agron's name was in the liner notes. Let's dive into what I thought now about 9 years later!
Favorite Track: Begin Again Least Favorite Track: The Last Time (featuring Gary Lightbody) Bonus Track I Wish was on the main album: All of them!!! Favorite Bonus Track: The Moment I Knew Album Ranking: 6th/9
Overall I adore this album so so much. The only track I didn't care for in the least was The Last Time. I think you'll find a trend with me that my least favorite Tayor tracks tend to be her duets (the exception being Everything Has Changed which is also on this album and is the purest of all). The album has held up and even moreso I love it than the first time I listened. Crazy. Anyway onto the rankings of each song. DISCLAIMER: These are just my opinions and you can disagree with them but please be respectful.
1) Begin Again 2) The Moment I Knew 3) State of Grace (Acoustic Version) 4) I Almost Do 5) Stay Stay Stay 6) All Too Well 7) Everything Has Changed (featuring Ed Sheeran) 8) 22 9) Come Back...Be Here 10) Red 11) I Knew You Were Trouble 12) The Lucky One 13) We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together 14) Starlight 15) Girl at Home 16) Sad Beautiful Tragic 17) State of Grace 18) Holy Ground 19) Treacherous 20) The Last Time (featuring Gary Lightbody)
Honestly I adore this album so much as a whole and ranking every song was so hard. Holy Ground honestly had a lot of potiental I hated the arrangement but if I heard an acoustic version I would be sold, much like State of Grace which I wasn't huge on the original but the acoustic I'm obsessed with. Moving onto our second album which is one of Taylor's newest.
Tumblr media
folklore! Funny enough on first listen I wasn't as into it as everyone else was but trust me, the relisten definitely helped me change my mind. I also heard the lakes for the first time which I loved. Since it's the only bonus track I'm going to say I definitely wished it had made the main album over some of the other songs on it. Let's dive into my thoughts and rankings.
Favorite Track: mad woman Least Favorite Track: invisible string Album Ranking: 9th/9
1) mad woman 2) the 1 3) the last great american dynasty 4) mirrorball 5) hoax 6) peace 7) seven 8) august 9) my tears richocet 10) the lakes 11) cardigan 12) betty 13) illicit affairs 14) epiphany 15) this is me trying 16) exile (featuring Bon Iver) 17) invisible string
Okay I know cardigan and betty being so low is going make people unhappy but honestly I just loved the other songs better listed above it. So many gorgeous songs and a great era for Taylor. It's not my favorite era and still falls in my lower half of her albums but I can appreciate the tracks on it more than I did before with the relisten.
Now onto Taylor's most recent album which came up next in our randomization in evermore
Tumblr media
Unlike folklore on original listen I absolutely adored this album and had it in my top tier Taylor albums but will that opinion hold up? Let's find out.
Favorite Track: no body, no crime (featuring HAIM) Least Favorite Track: gold rush Favorite Bonus Track: it's time to go Album Ranking: 7th/9
1) no body, no crime (featuring HAIM) 2) happiness 3) champagne problems 4) willow 5) cowboy like me 6) dorothea 7) majorie 8) evermore (featuring Bon Iver) 9) closure 10) long story short 11) ‘tis the damn season 12) ivy 13) it’s time to go 14) coney island (featuring The National) 15) right where you left me 16) tolerate it 17) gold rush Okay let's talk about the relisten, it still held up but to me the one thing I didn't love about the album was the bonus tracks didn't add much to the original album so I kind of see why they were bonus tracks. I enjoyed the album none the less and I do think that most of my opinions are somewhat popular. I only see people being mad about 'tis the damn season being so low but honestly 1-11, I loved all the tracks so.
Up next is the rerelease that started it all, Fearless!
Tumblr media
Now let's see after 13 years (hey Taylor's lucky number) if my opinion of this iconic album changed. Back in the day I was so obsessed with this album so let's see how I feel now!
Favorite Track: You're Not Sorry Least Favorite Track: The Way I Loved You Bonus Tracks I Wish was on the main album: Forever and Always (Piano Verison) and Come in with the Rain Favorite Bonus Track: Forever and Always (Piano Version) Album Ranking: 4th/9
1) You’re Not Sorry 2) White Horse 3) Love Story 4) You Belong with Me 5) Change 6) Forever and Always (Piano Version) 7) Fifteen 8) Hey Stephen 9) Come in with the Rain 10) Jump Then Fall 11) Fearless 12) Forever and Always 13) The Best Day 14) The Other Side of the Door 15) Breathe (featuring Colbie Cailaitt) 16) Untouchable 17) SuperStar 18) Tell Me Why 19) The Way I Loved You
I still remember when this album was first coming out how jazzed and excited I was for it. It was highly anticipated for me being that I had fallen in love with Taylor from her debut album and listening back it still holds up as one of my favorite albums. The only two tracks I wasn't into back then and still am not into are Tell Me Why and The Way I Loved You. Other than those two tracks the entire album is incredible to listen to. I'm so excited to hear Taylor's versions of all these songs and who knows maybe my mind will change on some of them.
Moving onto the next album to be randomly selected which is almost every Swiftie's favorite 1989.
Tumblr media
Funny enough, originally this album isn't in my top favorites so who knows if my opinion will change on a relisten. Let's find out!
Favorite Track: Clean Least Favorite Track: I Wish You Would Bonus Tracks I Wish was on the main album: All of them?! Come on Taylor what's up with 1989 and Red having like some of their best tracks as bonus tracks. I'm mad haha. Favorite Bonus Track: Wonderland (gee I wonder why) Album Ranking: 5th/9
1) Clean 2) Wonderland 3) Wildest Dreams 4) This Love 5) You are in Love 6) Welcome to New York 7) Shake It Off 8) Blank Space 9) Bad Blood 10) Style 11) How You Get the Girl 12) Out of the Woods 13) New Romantics 14) I Know Places 15) All You Had to Do was Stay 16) I Wish You Would
Okay listening back. I now get the hype behind it. Listening to it with bonus tracks honestly makes all the difference. No joke. It's a much better album with the bonus tracks added. Honestly if Wonderland and You are in Love were on the main album it would've been top tier to me. Thank God for the deluxe version but team Taylor what is up with you hiding some of her best tracks and only releasing them on the bonus tracks? I'm mad. Also speaking on Wonderland, I adore the song even without the rumours of it being about my favorite celebrity Dianna Agron. Had the bonus tracks been on the main album it would higher but as a whole I love the album.
And now for our next album, which is reputation!
Tumblr media
This is probably Taylor's most controversial albums, some love it and some hate it. I actually am somewhere in the middle. I love some of the tracks while others I could've done without. Let's see where it goes for me listening back.
Favorite Song: New Year's Day Least Favorite: Dancing with Our Hands Tied Album Ranking: 8th/9
1) New Year's Day 2) Gorgeous 3) Don’t Blame Me 4) This is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things 5) I Did Something Bad 6) Dress 7) Delicate 8) Call It What You Want To 9) ...Ready for It? 10) Look What You Made Me Do 11) King of my Heart 12) Getaway Car 13) So It Goes... 14) End Game (featuring Ed Sheeran and Future) 15) Dancing with Our Hands Tied
Okay I feel like my choices here are controversal especially Getaway Car being pretty low on the album. Honestly I liked the song just wasn't into the hype that everyone else said about it, sorry you guys. Also Dancing with Our Hands Tied on the ALBUM is my least favorie song. I absolutely adored Taylor's acoustic version that was in the rep Tour. Had she released that on the album it would be after Look What You Made Me Do. The arrangement on the album I just didn't care for and I prefer acoustic Taylor which I think a lot of you gather from my top picks.
Anyway moving onto to our next album that was randomized which is...Taylor Swift!
Tumblr media
Ah yes the album that started it all. 15 years ago I discovered Taylor Swift via this album thanks to CMT. I was a huge country music stan back in the day who knew how this one album would lead to a career I've been following for 15 years. Now how does this album hold up? Let's find out!
Favorite Song: Should've Said No Least Favorite Song: A Perfectly Good Heart Bonus Tracks I Wish was on the main album: Invisible and I'm Only Me When I'm with You Favorite Bonus Track: Invisible Album Ranking: 3rd/9
1) Should’ve Said No 2) Invisible 3) Cold as You 4) Picture to Burn 5) Our Song 6) The Outside 7) A Place in This World 8) Teardrops on My Guitar 9) Stay Beautiful 10) Tim McGraw 11) I’m Only Me When I’m with You 12) Mary’s Song (Oh My My My) 13) Tied Together with a Smile 14) A Perfectly Good Heart
This album still holds up 15 years later and made me so nostalgic. This had to be the hardest album for songs to rank thus far. Taylor hit it out of the park on her very first album crazy. She set the bar very high, funny enough it's the first album that a bonus track is my least favorite track but the entire album is a great listen, especially if you love country. It's very different from anything else Taylor did but that's what's so charming about it.
And now onto our second to last album which is another one of my favorites and the only album Taylor wrote fully on her own, Speak Now.
Tumblr media
The album cover is up there with Red as my favorite and I'm excited to listen back to this album. I remember how much I enjoyed it when it was first released. Excited to see what I think 11 years later. Let's find out.
Favorite Track: Haunted (Acoustic Version) Least Favorite Track: Last Kiss Bonus Tracks I Wish was on the main album: All of them. Dang it Taylor they deserved to be on the main album. Favorite Bonus Track: Haunted (Acoustic Version) Album Ranking: 2nd/9
1) Haunted (Acoustic Version) 2) Long Live 3) Haunted 4) Better Than Revenge 5) Back to December (Acoustic Version) 6) Mine 7) Back to December 8) Mean 9) If This Was a Movie 10) Innocent 11) Dear John 12) Speak Now 13) Ours 14) Never Grow Up 15) The Story of Us 16) Superman 17) Enchanted 18) Sparks Fly 19) Last Kiss
One of Taylor's absolute best albms and it was incredibly hard to rank these songs. I know people are going to be mad about Enchanted being low but I just didn't love it as much as the other tracks on the album, this after all is one of the best albums she ever released so it's incredibly hard to make the call.
Moving onto our final album which I've called my absolute favorite, Lover.
Tumblr media
It's only been an year since its release but will it hold up as my favorite album? Let's find out!
Favorite Track: Miss Americana and the Heartbreak Prince Least Favorite Track: It’s Nice to Have a Friend Album Ranking: 1st/9
1) Miss Americana and the Heartbreak Prince 2) Paper Rings 3) Lover 4) Soon You’ll Get Better (featuring The Chicks) 5) You Need to Calm Down 6) The Archer 7) The Man 8) Daylight 9) Afterglow 10) I Think He Knows 11) False God 12) Death by a Thousand Cuts 13) Cruel Summer 14) Cornelia Street 15) I Forgot That You Existed 16) ME! (featuring Brendan Urie from Panic! at the Disco) 17) London Boy 18) It’s Nice to Have a Friend
Yep it held up. This album is my favorite thing Taylor ever released. It was a tough call because I loved all of her top albums so much. Miss Americana still is my favorite performance which is no surprise, I was obsessed when this song came out 2 years ago. It's Nice to Have a Friend is the weakest track on the album but by no means is it a bad track. The entire album is a great listen all the way through, the only song that's hard to listen to especially if you have a sick parent "Soon You'll Get Better" I literally bawled after I finished it. So if you don't want an emotional song that might make you sad, it's best to skip it even though it's one of favorite tracks.
And that does it for us here. Hope you enjoyed my album reviews! Just to recap here's the rankings of all of Taylor's Albums:
1) Lover 2) Speak Now 3) Taylor Swift 4) Fearless 5) 1989 6) Red 7) evermore 8) reputation 9) folklore
Excited to see what's to come with the rerelease of Fearless and to hear the songs released from the vault. I've heard a few of her unreleased songs and honestly there are quite a few that I'm hoping are released. Thanks for enjoying us on this journey as always be kind and always spread love <3

Happy Halloween!!! I love you and your dog's costumes! They're so cute..lol I can't remember the last time I dressed up for Halloween, but I might carve a pumpkin later tonight and watch more movies. Are you doing anything fun? I watched a few movies but they were more like campy and from the 80s. I don't really do scary besides some Stephen King movies, but I might watch the Haunting of Venice which I think is on Hulu now. I was saving movies as it got closer to Halloween but I usually let it last the whole week anyway. I have seen both Happy Death Day movies and enjoyed them. One of the movies on my list is called Totally Killer, and it actually seems sort of similar to Happy Death Day actually. There's also a new Haunted Mansion movie and Hocus Pocus 2, which I haven't watched yet, so that's on my list.
The prove it part is so fun and iconic! Although at my show, I don't think she said that. Was that the version that was in the movie too? Yes for Speak Now, it was a lot more theatrical cuz it really had props and a set and it almost felt like a continued story..like she interrupted the wedding but then turned into a princess and got her happy ending. It also had some of the best costumes and really felt like she was telling you her story on stage just like a musical. I wish I could have gone to that tour..or any of her tours. I've only been to rep and eras even though I've loved her from the beginning. All of her tours seem to fit the era at the time and just get better and better!
I hope you have a good time seeing Hadestown this weekend and that your mom likes seeing it! I was honestly shocked by the new Sweeney Todd casting and your post about it was how I found out yesterday but then it was announced today I think..for Halloween! That's so exciting! I'm a little skeptical cuz Aaron always seems a little young to me for some reason but would be interested to see them in the roles. Someone on Twitter joked he was playing Antony lol. What do you think about it?
So how much of Tomorrow x3 did you read? I'm shocked it doesn't get that much better since it seems to have good reviews and has been recommended by people I follow but I honestly don't know that much about it. But even The Night Circus and Starless Sea have mixed reviews and I would rather trust your opinion so I'm sure it's good! So I started the Night Circus last night cuz that's the one I have on my shelf but hopefully I will read The Starless Sea at some point. I like it so far and think I will get used to the writing the more I read. It doesn't seem like it will be a quick read for me cuz it's pretty long so I apologize..but I'm really looking forward to it!
So I need a bit more time with the Maisie songs but they were so much better when I heard them again. Like Holy Revival..at first I was confused by the sound but the chorus and song is catchy and gets stuck in my head. Then Truth Is, I was a little bothered by the phrasing at first, and it felt unfinished to me but now I don't mind and that's definitely one of the best songs. I feel you can tell when some songs were written..like Yoko and the Last One sound so much like old Maisie to me, but Holy Revival and Guy on a Horse sound more like Rockstar and Blonde based on lyrics and sound. I can't really rank them yet but it would probably be Truth Is, The Last One, Yoko, Holy Revival, The Song and Guy on a Horse..maybe? I've mostly been playing 1989 and haven't had time to watch her lyrics videos yet though. I know Yoko was an old snippet though so I'm sure she does have more and maybe one day she will release those, but also most are just acoustic so idk.
Anyway I totally agree about not really having favorites for the 1989 vault. It's either that they're all so good or they're all the same in a way. But the one that immediately sticks out to me both sound and lyrics is Slut. That's the only one that I could remember and was stuck in my head the next day after hearing it the first time. I am so surprised more people don't love this song! I know it's not what we expected but I think it's so good..so this one is probably my one favorite from this vault. Listening to it is almost like being in a movie to me and I Can See You felt like that too. I do admit that the title doesn't really need to go with the song..it could've been called something else and I think that's why people aren't liking it as much. The others were harder to remember, but I think Now that we don't Talk is also pretty catchy. Say Don't Go is both catchy and probably has the best lyrics so that's my next favorite. Suburban Legends was actually the one I thought I liked the most on first listen and lyrically seemed the most interesting..it kinda reminded me of Cardigan or Dorothea. That's something I can personally sort of relate to so maybe that's why it stood out, and I just prefer some of the lyrics in the song...like screw me up forever lol. but it also feels pretty short and they all are. Is it Over Now has grown on me a lot, but the best part is the bridge for sure..and I love the way she sings it, and oh Lord, but I could also see myself just skipping to that part in the song in the future. I think that one is the single and one people love the most, and it could be cuz it's very 1989. But I just don't care about the lyrics that much, which might be why everyone else likes it more than me lol..and they're similar to Out of the Woods. 1989 was always one of my least favorite albums cuz she has a lot of songs about the same thing
I have never played Sudoku cuz I think it's hard! I'm pretty good at all the word games and crosswords though, and it's just become part of my routine. I count it as some learning for my day. Connections I am okay with and it does switch between easier and hard for me. I like that you play it too though, cuz I thought no one else really did. Now it's something else we can have in common! Have a good rest of your Halloween night!!!
happy happy halloween! happy november! it's funny because i didn't really do halloween as a kid (it's not a huge thing in hong kong, not the way it is here in the states) + am not super big on it as an adult as a result, but i love love love dressing up toto! any excuse i get i'll take it. he has some christmas outfits, lunar new years outfits, etc. it's very fun! i went to a halloween thing last night but also ended up hurting myself (a constant joke in my friend group is how i need to be wrapped up in bubble wrap), so i cut it short and now i'm just resting! did y'all get any trick or treaters? we didn't and i'm lowkey a bit sad about that :(
i'm not a huge horror movie fan (as i mentioned last time), but i do love my fair share of like bloody musicals (american psycho, we are the tigers, carrie, etc. — which ... a lot of are adaptations haha). i've been listening to american psycho the musical all day, actually and very much reminiscing like 2015/2016 broadway season. i think a lot about how much more commercialized broadway is now, and how a lot of the adaptations don't feel well fleshed out but rather a lot like cash grabs and sometimes things don't need to go on broadway but would be better suited off-broadway or elsewhere and i just think everything is very ... safe ... now! no one is taking risks! everything feels so ... money-oriented, which like, yes broadway/theatre is a business, but it feels so lifeless and sad sometimes to me. like so many shows are just adaptations or stunt casts and it's just ... so sad to me. ugh. ok soapbox over.
the prove it part is only in the movie! it's also on the cruel summer live single! it's very fun! i went to red tour and eras but i think if i could i would've gone to fearless or speak now out of all the tours. what about you?
i don't know how i feel about the new sweeney todd! but i also don't know how i feel about this production of sweeney in general? i'm not a huge sweeney girlie — i've never seen it live and have only seen the movie, but everyone i know has been continuously shocked by the castings in this production! i was just telling a friend how aaron is 40 now and we were both like "that can't be possible he was just playing a teenager in next to normal yesterday" 😭😭😭😭 i'm sure he'll be great, but it's just like how i felt with annaleigh when she was cast in sweeney — my brain thinks of aaron as bobby in that production of company he did years ago at barrington stage (?) in the same way that my brain still thinks of annaleigh as dot/marie in sitpwg, so i think it's just going to be hard for me to be like "new sondheim role!"
i think i got through like two chapters? and then stopped. a lot of people liked it, so maybe i'll give it another go some day! i don't even know why i couldn't get through it, just wasn't feeling it i suppose! i feel really bad because my friend sent it to me from the uk. oh well! i haven't really gotten back to reading the night circus yet either, but i'm hoping to spend more time reading it this week! i might try to read an arc tonight and then if i have time tomorrow night or friday i'll try to read more of the night circus! it is very long; please take your time! i'm double annotating it (i can explain this if you want!) so it's also going to take me a whileeee — and i'll be out of town next weekend (which i keep forgetting about) and have things i need to do before it so i probably won't be reading much this week!
and yes! i think what i really like about tgw deluxe — and 1989 vault — is that they properly feel like "Vault" tracks or "bonus tracks" or "songs that we could've put on the album but switched it out for something better/more fitting" instead, like it gives us this insight into the production of it all, the message/themes they wanted to send, etc. i've been listening to 1989 tv more since we talked, and it's definitely grown on me more but i still don't think i have a distinct opinion on favorites! i'll have to relisten suburban legends but i think i can see where you're going with cardigan/dorothea!
connections was very fun + easy for me today! i've been a sudoku girlie for many many years, so it's just been very fun! but i don't always have time to sit down and play it, which kind of sucks. connections is much less of a commitment, which works better for me! my friends and i send our results in into our group chat every day — usually i'm either the first or second, depending on if someone is up after midnight and does it before bed vs. i like doing it in the middle of the night when i wake up at like 3am haha! i feel like sometimes the more "easy" categories are harder for me than what they think are the hard ones? what about you? x

Hi!!!! I'm so sorry I didn't reply again until now. I wanted to reply the other day but basically my ask got deleted halfway thru replying and I didn't have time again until now. I'm so glad you had a great time at the movie. It seems like you had a lot of fun and i'm glad you were able to see it again. I expected there not to be a lot of people at the last show since it was so late and it was an added show on Thursday. It did make me wanna see it again just to experience it with other people but I don't know if I will. I hope it comes to streaming so I can watch it over and over. I loved noticing new things seeing it up close. What did your friend think of the whole show? Sometimes I forget how incredible it is how Taylor created and came up with it mostly by herself..a true mastermind! I'm grateful that I was able to go to the show at least once compared to the people that didn't. It did make me nostalgic for my show but I also loved the surprise songs cuz it was like how the fans that have been there from the beginning since Our Song to now with You're On Your own Kid just made it special. Aww she really put it on and said it was her favorite!!! I knew about the cut songs beforehand but my sister didn't and it took her some time to realize any were cut. I understand some of them cuz it didn't have choreography and I guess the movie maybe felt a little long but also everything went by fast too. But that was the one that hurt the most cuz its one of my favorites. It's also the only single from the album so I couldn't believe she cut it. I love them all but my favorites are probably Speak Now and Folklore too, along with rep.
I never listened to Renee's EP cuz I was waiting until her album but I do plan to hear them together probably next week. The few songs I've heard so far I've liked though. I have to give Holly's album a few more listens as well before I know my favorites but which ones did you like the best? I also enjoyed Boygenius as well. Ya I am curious about the movie version but I'm not excited about it or anything. I don't think it would change much from the stage version, but I'm happy it's at least people kinda from Broadway. I never saw anything from Sabrina if she ever was on Broadway, cuz I can't remember..but I agree..she could've been a great Cady. I remember the stunt cast for Cameron Dallas and apparently he was so bad lol. I'm sorry you didn't get to see it on Broadway but I might see it on tour in a few months to compare it to the movie. I also heard a Waitress proshot is coming soon so I'm probably more interested in seeing that, cuz I couldn't on tour.
So one of the reasons I didn't reply to you was cuz we went to see Les Mis last night!!! We were trying to go on Wednesday but it didn't work out so I didn't wanna tell you I was seeing it if I wasn't sure I could go. But it was so amazing and probably top 5 shows I've seen. I would want to go again to have better seats and cuz there was a lot going on, on stage, that I missed. It was really funny though cuz I hadn't thought of the musical in a while but of course I still knew all of the words haha. It felt really fast paced and I wish I could've paid more attention or soaked it in more..that was kinda my first time seeing a sung through show, so it was a good thing I knew it so well lol. My favorite parts were I Dreamed a Dream, The Confrontation, Stars, and One Day More, but I really loved the flow of Act One. The barricade scenes were good too, but the set was pretty dark which made it kinda hard to see. Of course I thought of you every time they said Cosette! And I noticed it was a lot haha. Anyway I also remembered I saw Moulin Rouge on tour almost the exact same day last year which is a crazy coincidence! I only know that cuz it was around when Midnights came out..which is today and I wanna know how you feel about it when it first came out compared to now. I think it's grown on me a lot and I do love it way more now. I can't believe 1989 is only a week away! I'm so excited to hear new Taylor songs to react to..it's so fun and will be fun to see if we have the same favorites.
Wow cool..that's awesome that you met up at your show! You're so sweet to say that and I realized we have been talking back and forth for a while now. I definitely think of you as my friend! Sometimes I worry that I have nothing interesting to say but then I also worry I talk so much lol. But that's why I say you shouldn't worry about replying..but I didn't want you to feel like I forgot about you either. I really do enjoy our conversations and how we just talk about our interests since I don't really have anyone else to talk about this stuff with. It feel weird that you don't know what I look like or that I'm just online, and sometimes I feel weird about it. Books are something I'm glad we can bond over, since my sister doesn't have as much time for reading, and I'm excited to start the book soon. If we are reading the Night Circus too, it's okay cuz I can read two books at the same time but just let me know. I read the summary of those on Goodreads and it reminded me of Only Murders in the Building, even if I haven't even watched the show yet but it's on my list. If you've seen it, let me know how it is. I am not a big thriller or mystery reader but it did seem interesting so I'm glad you enjoyed them! I'm sorry if I forgot anything, but I might not be able to reply until Monday if you reply to this though..just to let you know. I hope you have a nice weekend!
hi friend!! hope you're having a good weekend 🤍 i saw something on twitter about it maybe going to prime, but i take most things i see on twitter with a grain of salt 😭 my friend really liked it — and is super excited to see her next year 🥺 i understand why a lot of them were cut (choreo, etc) but i was really bummed because i love long live and the archer and cardigan and - well, all of them. i was talking to some friends on thursday about how if we could change anything in the eras setlist in a way that wouldn't alter production too much (i.e. costume changes, choreography, speeches, giving her time to rest a bit, etc) what would we change and so i want to ask you the same question! what would you change if you could? i think i said i'd switch out i knew you were trouble with holy ground or red! i would personally also maybe switch all too well 10 for the 5 minute version, and then add our song or i'm only me when i'm with you (or both) instead, just so i could get my little debut songs in. but i do think it's pretty perfect and even the songs that i don't gravitate towards listening to regularly are SO much fun live. the rep set is SO good; we've talked about how it's not my favorite album of hers but honestly one of my favorite eras performances i think.
i think elvis impersonators, cocoon, and ghost me are in my top 3, but i'm not entirely sure yet! i can't wait to hear more of your thoughts on holly's album!! sabrina was only cady for like, two days so not a whole lot exists out there! but i really liked her take on cady. i feel like more often than not i am disappointed with stunt casting (i understand why they do it though) — speaking of stunt casts, i'm curious to see how jordan fisher does as orpheus in hadestown! i'm seeing the tour in a few weeks and i'm super excited to finally see someone who isn't reeve carney haha! and yes — waitress proshot! it was announced yesterday or the day before, i think! my friend texted me about it but i'm not sure if i'll have time to go see it in cinemas. hopefully it gets put on streaming sometime soon too!! i just remembered broadwayhd exists — there's so much on there that i haven't seen (that being said, if you've never seen daddy long legs the musical, i do recommend it because megan mcginnis' voice is beautiful and i just love her — although the actual musical content/plot is a bit questionable — and of course, she loves me and allegiance are also ones i'd recommend)! i didn't know they did a proshot of snapshots — john cardoza was in it and i really like him (i saw him in the notebook + really like what i've heard of him in moulin rouge + like what i heard of him in the snapshots cast recording) so i might give that a watch sometime! and i forgot they filmed the production of first date that sam barks was in! i was also just thinking of submissions only, which was a web series back in like 2012 and is pretty scrubbed from the internet now, unfortunately but i loved it. did you ever watch smash? now i'm feeling incredibly nostalgic!
oh my gosh did you have fun at les mis!!! i really liked the marius on tour (gregory lee rodriguez) — his marius is so earnest and so charming; i saw him in a show here in seattle a few years ago and i remember thinking he was a very likable actor so i was really excited to see him in les mis when i saw the tour in june! the barricade scenes are some of my favorites, but yes — lighting can be tricky! i've been meaning to rewatch the movie at some point as well, but it's so long and such a commitment. i was also ... doing a VERY good job of working at my les mis reread/annotations but then ... did not do that. so we'll see if i pick it back up or if i decide to push it off to next year haha. and no way! that's such a cool coincidence!
i really like midnights; i think it's a solid album — but i do find myself reaching for the 3am tracks over some of the songs on midnights proper a lot! it's interesting because my friends and i did a little ~ prediction ~ of our favorites based on names and i could not have been more wrong. i said lavender haze, anti hero, you’re on your own kid, question…? and sweet nothing were ones that stood out to me, and i do like them, don't get me wrong, but the only one i listen to A LOT is you're on your own kid. i think my top listened to midnights tracks/favorite midnights tracks are (in no particular order): yoyok, mastermind, the great war and dear reader. what about you?
you don't need to worry about not having anything interesting to say! i love chatting with you — you can literally come talk to me about anything you want! and you don't need to apologize for taking your time to reply either! and i'm happy to do whatever works for you reading schedule wise / buddy reading wise! i haven't watched OMITB but i've heard really good things and there's apparently a lot of broadway people cameos in the third season? which is fun!
hope you're having a good weekend 🤍 🤍 !!
