On the one hand, I work full time and would probably struggle to commit to much, but on the other hand it'd be cool for The Chosen tumblr fandom to do some kind of Christmas event. Especially since we probably won't get any more Christmas-themed Chosen content outside of "The Shepherd" and "The Messengers" (which is fine, they're great and it would be WAY too much for Dallas & co. to deliver something every year). Anyone here have ideas or wanna brainstorm?

Every now and then I think about how, in Season 2 Episode 8 of The Chosen, there was a whole scene where Jesus and the women in the ministry have this elaborate voting process about which color sash He should wear for the sermon on the mount, and I just giggle.

Like, the narrative actually made a whole deal out of dressing Him up to look the way He's depicted in all the old Sunday school cartoons, like He's an MCU character evolving into His final form/comic-book accurate costume. How is this show real???

I just love the scene when the Zealot guys are like: Where is the revolution? See that Roman? 

And they point at Gaius. Gaius, who’s walking around the tent city helping its inhabitants so everything would be according to the regulation and casually ignoring the stuff he cannot fix. He’s doing his best so his boss can’t force them to go away. He’s only pretending to follow the orders, he’s probably breaking some vow of obedience, just... the revolution is here. But it’s not violent.

The crew gets bigger and bigger! I’m drawing all the apostles/important figures in The Chosen! It’s still a work in progress but here we have the ones I already drew:

Jesus and Simon Peter! Because of course Jesus can’t have a single moment of peace with this man around him.

Ramah, Mary Magdalene and Matthew! They are studying the Torah together, be quiet! They have much to learn still!

Philip and Andrew, probably discussing John the Baptizer’s fate in the dungeons of Herodes’ castle. Or maybe speaking about some of Jesus’ teachings. Who knows? No one is away to find out.

There are more coming! And after this one, I’ll draw the pairs that were sent off by Jesus. Hope you guys like it!
