Random hcs I have because I may be cringe but I'm free part 26 (Ninjago, again)

My Ninja singing hcs cuz I love music and singing and I think the sillies would too.

When it comes to Cole, there are only two ways the hc can go, either you think he's terrible, like in the oni trilogy, or he's a wonderful singer with a beautiful natural voice and the technique to match, who just doesn't know what to do with that stupid Gloworm song (I mean COME ON, he went to the Marty Oppenheimer School of Performing Arts ffs). I choose to believe in the latter. Whatever you choose he is still vastly better at dancing than singing.

Kai actually has a pretty great (and fittingly, very powerful) voice and he could be amazing if he ever decided to take actual lessons, but he couldn't care less. What he's interested in, and therefore weirdly good at, is distortion. Growls, vocal fry, screams, even just regular old belting, anything that would push anybody else's voice to its limits, he can do it all and does so willingly and extremely well. (Cole is lowkey jealous)

Jay can SING omg (when he's actually trying anyway). Jay's the kind of guy who has a wonderful (and surprisingly powerful) natural voice without any kind of lessons or training but if he isn't focusing on/into the song or doesn't really care abt how he sounds then it just sounds like talking/shouting. But when he's alone, or listening to smth he really likes, or deliberately trying to impress, bro sounds ANGELIC (Cole and Kai are BOTH jealous of this one(and this one kinda feeds into my Japanese Jay hc but my brain decided that when he's doing more hardcore stuff, he sounds like mafumafu))

Once again, this one was hard because Zane only ever sings with the help of some kind of nindroid shenanigans, so I dont have a lot to go off of but I'm happy with what I came up with so 🤷‍♀️. Anyway, Zane's normal speaking voice is really clear and smooth and slightly accented and wonderful and he has perfect understanding of music theory and all the technical aspects of making a voice sound pleasant and musical, and he sounds really good when he hums, and he's got the technique DOWN, but his voice just always sounds weird somehow, so whenever he wants to sing along to smth and sound a certain way while doing it, he'll just replace his own voice with the original vocalists or another generated voice that he thinks sounds good. He still has an absolute blast though.

It is a rare and I mean RARE occurrence to hear Lloyd sing and 99% of the time someone does manage to pick up his voice, he sounds slightly below average, even if he's actually putting in some effort for once. But that ultra rare 1%, when someone manages to overhear him late at night, almost silently raiding the cupboards for candy as he quietly sings the softest, sweetest, and most comforting melodies to ever be given lyrics, then he sounds pretty wonderful. Don't let that fool you though, it's his comfort zone for a reason.

Like her brother, Nya has a pretty awesome natural voice, but, also like her brother, she doesn't really care for "normal" singing. She tends to lean more towards rapping, usually resulting in her unconsciously putting more energy into rap segments than the rest of the song, and the rest of the team. However, she absolutely ADORES hearing the others sing, especially Jay "What? He just has a nice voice. It has absolutely nothing to do with our relationship, no way". Its like she can sense whenever Cole and Jay are having another random duet and she always manages to "coincidentally" appear before the song ends.

Pixal was originally programmed by Cyrus Borg to have a lovely, gentle, mother-like singing voice, and she definitely appreciates it (its surprisingly come in handy on quite a few missions) but she finds it just a little too different from her normal speaking voice for her to get totally into it. She usually prefers to stay away from vocals anyway, finding that she has more fun tapping her fingers or toes or even just making percussive mouth sounds to the rhythm of whatever's playing (and these days, she's kinda hesitant to even do that, ever since Zane accidentally let it slip that he thinks its "positively adorable")

What up party people. I got really fucking bored and decided to do a little gency masterpost of all the lore hints between them and where the ship started in the first place! This is mainly for my own pleasure so do with it what you will lmao

Their history together

Way back when Hanzo and Genji originally fought, Hanzo had left Genji for dead. But despite what Hanzo thought, Genji was actually still alive. From the help of one Dr.Ziegler, he was able to get rushed into surgery and ultimately survived. Most of his body had to be replaced with Cyborg technology, which took him much time to come to terms with. But in the end he truly believes that overwatch, and mercy, saved him. She would continue to be his main physician throughout blackwatch and presumably until the end of overwatch.

Comics

The first time we truly got to see hints between these two was in the “Reflections” Christmas comic. In this comic we see a couple panels of what characters are doing for the holidays. In the first and last panel on the page, we see genji and mercy writing letters to each other

Voice lines and interactions

On Valentine’s Day there are special voice lines between Mercy and Genji. I’ve read that the first interaction will happen on Valentine’s Day while the second one can be triggered on White day, but I have never personally heard the second interaction in game so I can’t confirm. From what I’ve gathered, the Japanese tradition is that on Valentine’s Day the women gives the man chocolates and then vise versa on White Day if he accepts the girls affection. Even if the second interaction doesn’t actually play on white day,,,,, it’s still very cute

Omg this is my favorite thing about this paring lmao. Gaku Space and Lucie Pohl adore this ship and they are not shy about it on social media. There are COUNTLESS posts they make about it but here a just a couple so y’all can get an idea of how much of gency trash these fuckers are lmaooo

This is really the meat and potatoes of the ship lore but there are tons of other shit that is also cute between these two that the fans like the point out. There’s a couple skins that people point out match, the official overwatch Instagram has posted shipping art of the two, Michael Chu stated on his twitter that he really likes the ship, etc. so if I missed anything, feel free to add 🤘🏻🤘🏻

Viktuuri Headcanon

Prompt given to me by livixbobbiex: ANGST! I want a Viktuuri breakup! I came up with the following during a 10 minute walk. (the structure is due to the fact I relayed the story through messages) (Set a year after the GPF) It starts off with Viktor wanting to go out for a drink, but it's the middle of the week and Yuuri wants to practice early the next day so he declines, no matter how much Viktor guilt trips him and he sulks as he heads off alone to a bar On his way there, he tries to think if there was anyone who could come out with him, but Viktor realises just how few proper FRIENDS he has, as most are professional skaters who are in other countries, getting ready for their next competition, Yakov refuses to drink with him anymore and Yurio is under age He plans on having only a few drinks before returning to their flat, but, surprisingly, he likes the band which is playing and stays, steadily drinking Another man is next to him at the bar and he too is drunk Viktor starts complaining about how lonely he is since he doesn't have a drinking partner and the man next to him hears his complaining and tries to console him saying that it can't possibly be his fault as he's such a great man (with killer looks - this is only divulged due to his inebriated state) Despite what some people believe, Viktor is not the kind of drunk to strip. It turns out that is exclusively for when Yuuri is around However, he IS clingy So he and this guy get quite close to each other (arms slung around each other) And they both start to take selfies, Viktor quickly posting his on Instagram With descriptions about how great the guy is, how he's no longer lonely, what great company he is and how happy he is to have met him *Skip to Yuuri at 1 in the morning* He's feeling a bit guilty about making Viktor go out drinking by himself And upset that Viktor hasn't returned in time to come to bed with him "He must've really wanted to have a good drink tonight..." He goes to their bed by himself, wandering at what ridiculous time Viktor would return *Skip to 7.30ish* Yuuri wakes up and is surprised to find the bed beside him still vacant But upon reaching the sitting room he discovers Viktor collapsed on the sofa He smiles to himself as he fetches a blanket to drape over him (a quick peck on the forehead too, whilst he's at it) After making himself a coffee he checks his phone, and, as usual, there are several messages from Phitchit Each of the texts is urging that he checks his social media There are a LOT of links to Viktor's Instagram His fans are demanding answers. Have they broken up?! Having an argument?! Yuuri pushes down his habitual panic at the posts showing a very happy Viktor (can tell by his heart-shaped smile) with someone Yuuri's never met before He's Viktor's fiancé. There's nothing to worry about. They looked very comfortable around each other... *Shakes head* He needs to think rationally He'll ask Viktor so he can set the facts straight He gently rouses Viktor, who is suffering from a HUGE hangover (he got in at 5) and is still slightly drunk So when Yuuri asks about last night, he goes on about how lonely he'd been until he met the guy He was great fun to be with Unlike a certain spoilsport When Yuuri tries to ask what happened last night (this morning), Viktor doesn't answer since he can't remember He just knows he had a great time and really wants to meet up with the guy again His splitting headache starts making him grumpy and he tells Yuuri to leave him be So Yuuri does, planning on going to the rink to calm down He's got nothing to worry about Viktor wouldn't do anything ...Right?! He's still unsettled about how attached Viktor is to this stranger He seems to really enjoy being around him When he gets to the rink, planning on doing some figures and relaxing exercises (he's being trying lots of techniques to help with his anxiety since being together with Viktor - he hates being such a bother with his stupid, nonsensical worries, causing Viktor unnecessary problems...) he bumps into Yurio Yurio smirks at him flashing an especially cosy picture from Viktor's account "Has Viktor finally come to his senses? He looks like he's be a better match for that fool! I honestly can't believe it took him this long to dump you." Yuuri knows Yurio's personality But it's hard to rationalise that when you're on the verge of panicking He leaves the rink without ever stepping foot on the ice (There goes his plan for calming down) He starts to wonder around St Petersburg but he always finds himself remembering his times with Viktor in each of the places: the park, the shops, the restaurants and their usual café So he decides to go somewhere he hasn't been before He needs some space without Viktor invading his thoughts *Skip to Viktor at 3 in the afternoon* He can just about bear the thought of getting up So he does, quickly fetching some ibuprofen He's a little baffled by the lack of Yuuri, food and a note You see, it's not VERY unusual for Viktor to go out drinking without Yuuri if he's invited by someone And the following day when Viktor regrets his life decisions, Yuuri always pampers him with never-ending patience as he makes him breakfast, making sure he's always supplied with painkillers and he always lets him know when he's going out Ahh... That's it. He remembers seeing Yuuri leave the flat that morning Ohhh, he DID mention practice yesterday, right? But it was odd of him to not have returned for lunch to check up on him He checks his phone for messages from him, but he only has the usual mountain of notifications from his social media accounts He can't bear reading off the screen at the moment (his poor eyes...) He decides some fresh air would wake him up (he definitely isn't heading to the rink because everything that he attempts to cook resembles charcoal by the end) He can't spot Yuuri when he arrives at the rink but Yurio is in the middle of attempting a quad flip And he falls. Again. "Nice one, Yurio!" He laughs, but immediately regrets it the loud boom of his voice. "Oh shut up, old man! I've almost got it down, and when I do I can finally prove that I'M the best" Viktor enquires after Yuuri "Huh?! What do you mean? Didn't he go back to the flat this morning?" Uhhhhhhhhhhhh no... "What do you mean this morning? He was supposed to practise until around 12" "He didn't even get on the ice. I thought he ran back to you" What? Yurio sighs at the blank look on Viktor's face Why must he do everything?! "I only teased him about last night" Last night? Yurio tells him to check his Instagram He's shocked by the posts. And just who IS that guy? Yurio says how he told Yuuri that it was about time that Viktor got over his stupid crush from the banquet And he laughs Until he sees Viktor's face "OMG, you didn't actually DO anything, right?!" Viktor can't remember Oh god What if he had?! What if he had said something to Yuuri?! Oh god He can't remember... What had they said this morning?! Yurio facepalms "I can't BELIEVE you two! Go find him and set this straight!" Viktor shakes himself out of his panic and rushes out Yuuri's been gone 6 hours Oh god Where is he?! He checks all their usual spots, but there's no sign of him and no one remembers seeing him pass by Oh god Has he run off somewhere?! Yuuri may have lived in St Petersburg for 10 months, but he never goes out alone as his Russian is rough at best He doesn't know his way around Oh god What if he's gone into some dodgy part of the city and has been taken away by some creepy guys who want to have his sweet, adorable fiancé?! At this point he receives a text *Skip to Yuuri, back at 10.30ish* He's found a bar and since he can't calm down, he's resorted to drowning his worries It always lets him forget *A few hours (and many glasses) later* Yuuri gets a text from Viktor asking where he is He (amazingly) manages to write a coherent reply "I can't bear to see you right now. I'm sorry but I just can't be with you" *Viktor* His panic rises (This is where I originally was going to end but livixbobbiex couldn't stand the suspense, so I continued) *A further couple of hours* Yuuri's high tolerance has finally succumbed to the dangerous amount of alcohol he has consumed and he has finally calmed down He's upset, but no longer panicking That's when he sees HIM The scumbag who had draped himself all over his Vitya Naturally he saunters over to put him in his place *Yakov* After Yuuri moved to St Petersburg, Viktor had become even more unbearable to drink with as he spontaneously starts to strip and drape himself over Yuuri, declaring his love for all the city to hear Not wanting to be so closely associated with his mess of a drunken pupil, Yakov had found himself a new place to drink As he approaches his new drinking abode, he can hear a ruckus inside Not wanting to get involved, he starts washing away, when he cares some extremely loud and asked Japanese Oh no It can't be... He gingerly enters the pub to see the chaos inside A few upturned stoll and tables are strewn across the room The pub has divided into 3 groups: Yuuri's supporters, a load of people defending a random guy that Yakov has never seen before and a load just spectating with amusement, trepidation and annoyance God, he prays no one is filming He guesses that Yuuri's supporters either know him from skating or they have a grudge against the other man, since he highly doubts anyone can understand the jumbled mess of Russian, English and mainly Japanese He calls Viktor, telling him to come and fetch his out-of-control husband-to-be He can't deal with this becoming public He TRIES to manhandle Yuuri away from the irked Russian *Viktor 15 minutes later* Viktor sprints into the pub and has to blink at the strange sight of his coach trying to pull his fiancé away from a guy Viktor is shocked to realise is the same as the person who he'd been with last night Meanwhile his brain scrambles to decipher what Yuuri is shouting in a confusing mixture of 3 languages "-DON'T CARE HOW GOOD LOOKING OR STRONG YOU ARE!!! I DON'T CARE IF HE'D BE BETTER OFF WITH YOU!!! NO ONE TOUCHES /MY/ VITYA!!! I LOVE HIM MORE THAN YOU EVER COULD, SO MUCH THAT IT HUUUURTS!!!" Viktor's tearing up in relief and love for his sweet Yuuri He runs over and envelops him in a crushing hug Yuuri is, naturally, surprised But quickly grabs onto him, burying his head into Viktor's chest as he starts to whimper, wiping his tears that had been falling down his face onto Viktor's jumper "Vitya, Vitya, Vitya!!! Please~ tell him I'm yours! You are still mine, right?! Please, Vitya! I can't cope without you. I can LIVE without you!" Viktor is reeling from guilt He made Yuuri into this It must've been so hard on him He sounds so small and lost and desperate... He hushes him in English, using as many soothing Japanese phrases as he can (he's sure he's butchered them but he couldn't feel an ounce of embarrassment) as Yuuri starts to calm, his grip on Viktor turning less desperate and more firm They make their way back to their home, the two continuously exchanging apologies the entire way to their sofa, where Viktor finally relents his grip on Yuuri to make some hot chocolate And so the two settle down for the rest of the day to snuggle as they watch crappy comedies and sappy romances, whispering words of love in every language they can manage Fin Epilogue: Someone HAD filmed Yuuri drunken confrontation and Phitchit ensured it went viral Yuuri and Viktor were startled by a phone call later that day from a very angry, impatient (and worried) Yurio
