I guess I’ll sprinkle in a few more HCS

In the third picture I basically just drew my idea of why the goo kid looks like a burnt up hairball covered in tar. They were chased by a worker(s) into part of the factory that had large vats of that weird goo liquid. The worker ended up attacking them, tearing one of their overall straps, and with no other choice, they took the plunge and proceeded to get lost in the sauce. Quite literally.

The goo isnt something that they can just wash off, especially since they kept putting it back on as a way to blend in with the workers. It’s kind of a part of them now.

The goo ended up blinding them in one eye when they initially fell into the vat

I guess warning for more dark HCs, although I feel like they all align with the darker content in LN

The goo is made up of whatever the workers don’t use from the body of a child, oil, tar, melted plastic and other things that you probably don’t want to be smeared on your body. After a worker kills a kid, they essentially strip their body for parts like fabric, metal or plastic from buttons, teeth, etc. basically any sort of material they can use. Most fabrics and other materials that the workers can’t use are sent up in a dumbwaiter to the chained lady so that she can hopefully find a use for them. Most of the organic parts of the kid can’t be used, so they burn them in a furnace that’s very similar to the one in the maw. It likely has a hand in powering the factory as well. The ash is then processed with some other materials to create the goo. This goo plus some other bullshit or something is how workers are made.

If you actually look at the factory/stone giant as a whole, a lot of it doesn’t actually make sense or should work logically. There are a lot of machines that just shit out their products into god knows where and a lot of them are just needlessly complicated

The reason why goo kid adjusted so well to life in the factory is that they were taken to the nowhere at a relatively young age. The incident with the vat happened shortly after they arrived. They basically grew up among the workers, and while they aren’t really friendly towards them, they aren’t outright aggressive unless they mess with the machines. They probably see them as a defective worker or something.

All workers have mouths, but not all of them have permanently exposed teeth

Workers are VERY fast and able to react quickly, especially to light, but they do still sometimes get limbs torn off by the machine. All workers are ambidextrous, as in they do not have a dominant hand and can use both with an equal amount of skill, so they usually just use their other hand, but since they sometimes use two tools at once, they might use their mouth to carry it or tie it to whatever is left of their arm. The goo can stick to it, but they will usually tear off part of their overalls (most commonly the leg parts/cuffs which is why a lot of workers have torn short overalls) until it grows back.

Goo kid got most of their food from the upper levels of the stone giant- just eating whatever was thrown down into the trash

Workers do eat- but not for sustenance. They use their stomachs as just a place to store stuff. it’s mainly because not all of them have tool belts or pockets, so they might swallow down some nuts (don’t) or bolts or other small objects so they can regurgitate them while working.

Most workers start out decked in the same or very similar clothing (overalls, tool belt, hammer, wrench, etc) but they like to steal from each other, plus it’s a factory setting, and it’s very common for them to get their clothes ripped. Workers do occasionally get new clothing, and while they are somewhat of a hive mind, they do vary in personality, especially when away from others. Some workers also differ visually. They can have all different lengths of hair, unless it’s ridiculously long and gets stuck, which usually isn’t a problem though as the goo mats their hair. Different overalls are usually because the person who makes them, (chained lady or the really weird doll with the sewing machine) sometimes use different materials or different styles

Workers are highly flammable, but do not react if set on fire unless the fire is damaging a machine. Unlike shadow kids who are very scared of fire, workers really just don’t care. It doesn’t hurt them like light does.

Workers are a bit larger than most LN children, it’s just that goo kid is small because he’s younger/just short which might give the appearance in the images of them being a lot bigger

Goo kid wears worker’s overalls but they’re sinched since they’re quite short

Workers can climb on all fours on sheer drops while facing downwards since their feet can twist the other way, similar to a few kinds of cats who can also do this

Something other about his eyes

Bonus! Based on this quick thing I did this afternoon and the idea took a bit more shape and turned into that thing from above uEK

Now he's a therapy friend to the whole MK team! (Against his will) They cuddle, pet, and vent to him with their problems. He's like one of Sandy's therapy cats, just bigger and grumpier.😾💕✨ he just has this way with people I guess

Okay, this is how it starts: Macaque and Wukong's first encounter was in a dream.

Wukong would not shut up about the pretty demon in his crazy dreams, often to his sworn brothers; he talked about all the fun and crazy adventures he'd have, the long meaningful conversations and jokes, and the occasionally moving pictures of otherworldly strong magical humans with sparkly eyes and spiky hair who wield giant weapons that shoots Fire called anime, and that this had been going on for a few months now.

This annoyed and concerned them; they think it's a demon trying to take over the Monkey King's mind or trying to brainwash him somehow, so Azure Lion and the Sworn Brothers all brainstormed together to devise a plan to somehow confront this tricky dream demon. Wukong doesn't want the fun dreams to end or scare off this other celestial monkey, so he decides to talk to his friend in his dreams. Wukong casually brings up the idea that the macaque should visit Flower Fruit and meet his sworn brothers! Macaque of course hesitates, not sure of the idea of traveling to an unknown island and meeting The Monkey King's questionable choice of sworn brothers, but of course, Wukong, sad and a bit offended, but he doesn't give up.

He decides to bring upon the Ultimate Weapon, begging and whining until Macaque crumbles and gives in, which eventually does. Mac reluctantly agrees to travel over to FFM in disguise, just to be safe he tells Wukong he'll be there. Within a month, Wukong couldn't be more excited; he was like a little kid waiting for Christmas day!

So this is what kinds of powers I think he should have.

😴 the first pic is crossing over to other people's dreams and making their experience life-like he has illusion magic so this makes sense to me. Wukong and macaque would prank the Brotherhood or play tags and hide and seek in their brother's dreams. 🌸The second pic is the soothing ability to calm one's nerves if they pet or cuddle him like a therapy cat,🐈 Wukong would groom him for hours to calm his nerves. now come copes with food🍑🍔🍭

At the end of every dream Mac visits they would end it by dancing to music Mac would bring from the future laughing and stumbling while wukong slowly wakes up, wukong has always gone to bed early But now he goes even earlier to bed. Wukong always thought he was the luckiest monkey in the world he gets to have two Adventure and one of them is with his prettiest best friend Macaque 😚✨the monkey of his dreams.

Sighing heavily, Randall looked around for a way to prove it, before gesturing to the mirror hanging on the wall by the front door; a little something for the Pace's to look into, make sure they looked nice before they headed off to work. Pointing it out, he sighed heavily, "Look, if you want proof...look into the mirror. You'll see me on the couch, but...you won't see her."

His parents exchanged concerned looks at this, and Randall sighed again, saying, "I know it sounds crazy, but please...we don't want to keep this a secret from you-Emily was very honest about it with me last night, and we decided earlier today that we'd be honest with you. Please, just...trust us. And trust us when we saw that Emily doesn't mean me any harm. I love her, and she loves me."

Why did you give six a good ending

Er... are you talking about Channel Change? Do you mean why did I give Six an open ending???

I don't know if it's "good", maybe you said this wrong and wanted to ask the other way?

I've already explained why Six isn't gonna be with Seven or Mono in the Channel Change comic; whatever the reason, she killed and ate Seven and dropped Mono condemning him to a life of imprisonment, and for that, I don't feel comfortable in this specific AU having all three of them together. Channel Change is about changing fate and I think Mono and Seven encountering Six again just kinda goes against the point of the change.

Six can be elsewhere, but just not with them. Like that's a possibility. I just show the Hunter walking into the room she occupies and approaching her, that's it. What happens from there is up to you.

I’ve noticed a distinct lack of love for the kid from the first ep of TSON who helped noone and the workers, so here’s some art with some HCS (Kid on the left, I’ll just call them goo kid, worker on the right)

Goo kid fell into a vat of some weird ass shit shadow goop in the factory

They use this to their advantage to basically blend in with the workers

Goo kid is around 6 to 7 years old and was relatively young when they were taken to the nowhere

Because of the factory having a lot of darker areas and the goop messsing with their eyes, they don’t have great vision and they’re nearly blind in one eye. They also have some hearing issues due to basically getting exposed to loud ass factory equipment constantly. Due to this, they’re very tactile and they often try to hold the hands or touch the faces of other children, but it’s often met with rejection due to often getting mistaken as a worker and usually not properly asking to do so. Their sense of smell is also pretty fried

Goo kid is mostly non-verbal and has a very limited vocabulary as a result of being taken so young and spending most of their time around the workers who don’t speak

The workers often try to give them tools like hammers and wrenches, thinking that they’re another worker

Even if a worker realizes they’re not one of them, they tend to not be very aggressive towards them because they’re very used to them being there. They’re mainly aggressive when goo kid is with another child or gets too close to the machinery

Goo kid’s clothes were taken from a worker. Most of them wear workers overalls, but it’s very common for the overalls to be heavily damaged as the shadow goop stuff isn’t that good when on fabric and they’re often torn by machinery

Because of lack of exposure to light, goo kid has pretty pale skin, which is also very sensitive to the sun, along either their eyes

Worker head canons

Workers act smarter when alone/in small groups and show a lot more individual personality as well. When they’re in groups, the hive mind kind of takes over and they become completely engrossed in keeping the factory running. This is why they tend to act quite dull/stupid when together, but the individual workers seemed to stalk/observe Noone and goo kid before striking

Like nomes, workers do hoard items, often in their pockets/pouches or tool belts if they have one, but they also like to hoard items in their own little nooks and crannies



They sometimes accidentally (or purposefully) steal each other’s tools while working, and yes, they will brawl over a wrench, but they often don’t notice/don’t know who took it

Workers can coalesce into far bigger shadow amalgamations, but it can only occur in very low light conditions, and only if the situation is bad

They have great eyesight in the dark and can see a ton of detail when up close, but otherwise, their vision is quite poor. Their hearing, on the other hand, is excellent, and like birds when they call, their ears have a sort of shadow muscle something something like that that closes when near loud machinery. This is another reason why goo kid doesnt talk besides being primarily non verbal and why they stop noone from speaking. Their hearing also helps with noticing if a machine needs fixing

Workers walk on their toes and their feet are rarely flat on the ground. This, coupled with their claws causes them to have a unique sounding footstep

Their toes/feet are very flexible, allowing them to scramble around and climb quite well

Their arms are proportionally longer since they often work with tools that are quite large for them

Workers can scramble around on all fours quite effectively

Some of them have exposed teeth

They often grab goo kid/lead him “back to the group” when they find them far away from where most of the workers are. It makes exploring difficult, but if goo kid gets stuck/lost, it can be very helpful

Goo kid is a bit scared of the workers, but because they tend to just think they’re another worker, they aren’t absolutely terrified

Singular workers are generally more playful and curious. They’re also more likely to notice something is different about goo kid. They poke them and sometimes try to apply some of the shadow goop to their face thinking that there’s something wrong with him

I had a brain surge while re-listening to The Lonely Way and came up with this:

What if all the doll-like beings (minus the shadow kids) are made by the Mannequin. The way Noone describes her feature doesn't sound like a partly flesh object like the Craftsman's dolls, it's more in line with the Bullies and Baby, not to mention the noted similarity between the Puppet she's making in the episode and the Ventriloquist's Dummy.

Hell, maybe Rascal learned how to make/manifest shadow children from observing or reading about the Mannequin woman.

I really think I'm onto something with this one, Queen.

WAIT. YOU'RE KINDA COOKING PROF...

It could explain some things. The Shadow Children seem to be kind if a mix between the shadow equivalent of a Glitching Remain is - the manifestation of someone's death, a soul - and the Lady's dolls see as their masks are variations of the masks the Lady herself owns.

(They have three variations, it's kind of cute... they're like little groups... I wonder if the masks being different means there is like, "generations". Like the Lady made a group first, then the second group some time later, so on and so forth. But let's not stray)

Perhaps this is her way to adapt the magic that makes dolls come to life to her own?

Also - fun fact for those who don't know: the Shadow Kids are referred to as "The Masked Remains" in the game's soundtrack.

Good time of the day to my kind and wonderful. These are Shadow kids from LN, actually I have a question, how do they appear? if it's like the ghosts of dead children, then there are no questions, but if it's just children who are TURNED into these shadows, then how does Ledy choose who to turn into a nome and who into a ghost, although there are similar ghosts in the city too... in short, I believe more that these are still dead children.

And I have an idea about their appearance, they are just like ordinary black silhouettes with masks, and I came up with the idea that their whole body together with the mask and hair is white, but the clothes are all black and with a hood, but this is just an idea.

Mission: Woe Seven, Failed.

"Mono, I really don't think this is a good idea..."

Six whispered as Mono counted a group of sleeping guests, planning his 700th try to "impress this stupid boy." As Six, liked to put it.

"Don't worry, Six. I have a good feeling about this one. All I have to do, is get past the sleeping guests and save that gnome!"

"Right. A good feeling. Just like you've had a good feeling about the other 700 tries that always failed?"

"Oh, c'mon, Six. Stop being dramatic. It hasn't been 700 tries," Mono waved her off with his hand, dismissing her statement.

"Oh, yeah?" Six placed a hand on her hip. "What about, the time you tripped and fell, nearly getting captured by a guest? Or, better yet, when you accidentally walked into a rat trap. Or! How about, when you nearly fell 10 feet off the ground?! OR-"

"Alright, alright, I get it!" Mono hissed underneath his breath. "But those were accidents! I didn't have a plan, before. But, now that I do, things will go differently, Six. You'll see!"

"Besides," Mono paused, taking off his paper bag so he could look up at Six with puppy dog eyes. "-would you really get in the way of true love, Six?"

"I do when it causes you to put your life in danger. -and consequently, MY life in danger!" She wanted to say.

Six tried to advert her eyes, tried to laugh it off, but she couldn't find it in herself to say no.

"You're so lucky I see you as a little brother. Or else there'd be no absolute WAY I'd go along with this."

Six could hear a voice in her head scoff. "Softy." it said. She just growled, mentally telling it to go away.

Mono pumped his fist up in a show of victory.

Silently, he tip-toed over to the large table. Six watched with a unimpressed look on her face as Mono struggled to climb up onto the table.

Eventually, he slung his foot over the table, hauling himself up as he looked around.

He was surrounded by guests, which wasn't a surprise. He looked over his shoulder, down at Six before giving her a thumbs up.

The girl just groaned in response, face-palming.

Mono's heart leaped into his throat as he saw the familiar boy in a blue jacket, rounding the corner with a lighter in his hand.

This was his chance.

Oh my gosh, there he is! Wait. Focus, Mono. Focus. Okay, don't mess this up. Just... Remember the plan. Avoid the guests. Save the gnome. Easy peasy lemon-squeezy.

Mono took a deep breath, slowly walking towards the gnome as the guests were asleep. What Mono didn't account for though, was the gnome not wanting his help.

Every time Mono took a step forward, the gnome took one step back. Growing a little annoyed, Mono tried to walk faster.

He gasped as he realized his mistake too late. Rolling over to land at the middle of the table. Looking down, Mono saw that he'd tripped over a guests hand.

Who was now VERY awake.

"Uh-oh." He whispered, scrambling to his feet as a meaty-hand reached out towards him. He tried to run away, but was pulled back by the neck of his trenchcoat. The commotion successfully waking up the rest of the guests.

He tried to yank his coat out of their grasp, heart pounding with fear as they surrounded him. Six was currently panicking, trying to find a way up to Mono, before she saw a flash of blue rush towards the table, climbing up with ease.

Mono gasped as a figure ran to stand In front of him, scaring the guests away with a lit match. The few guests who did try to grab him, were burned to death. Their weird, rubbery-like skin immediately catching on fire.

Once the guests all ran away, -or, more appropriately, crawled away. Mono looked up at the figure in shock.

"Y-you saved me,"

The figure turned around to face him, and Mono gasped as he saw it was the boy in a blue jacket.

"WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING?!" The boy screamed at him, eyes hidden by a moppy set of hair.

Mono stuttered, his face red as he couldn't find his voice, the only thing he could manage to say was,

"Hi."

The boy looked at him.

"Hi?"

"Hi." Mono repeated, his mind unable to comprehend anything at the moment.

The boy looked at him again.

"Can you say anything other than "hi?"

Seven asked, genuinely curious and more than a little concerned.

"Happy birthday?" Mono tried. Fuck, that sounded stupid.

Seven couldn't help but muffle a laugh.

"Okay, than. Uh, thanks? Be more careful. This place is dangerous."

-and as fast as he appeared, he was gone.

Mono was left to his thoughts, before Six quickly snapped him out of it with a slow clap of her hands.

"Wow, Romeo. That was smooth." Six commented sarcastically.

Eye + Key + Nome: This one went through the most drafts. I’m glad I was able to draw out this punchline. Sometimes the best way to open a door is to throw a Nome at it. 

Drown + Fall + Pretend: Six drowns in Pie during the fall season while Mono pretends to be a pumpkin.(For may be a little too long.) 

Mask + Thin + Togetherness: These two. These TWO.
