Alright, the new episode. I haven't talked about new episodes in like two years. Back then I was on Twitter. How things have changed.

One thing hasn't changed. Parker, how many times have you worn that exact same shirt in these videos? Is that your favorite shirt or something?

Oh, also, the hand gestures. Those haven't gone anywhere.

At least he's still leaving his hair longish.

He's obviously trying to look like a psychologist or something. However, I appreciate it as a more general "This is how an intellectual dresses" vibe. I have a history of trying to write intellectual Parker (White Noise, Stars Shining) so this fits well for me.

Slightly annoyed honestly, the new fic I'm working on starts with a dive into psychology a bit and now I feel like it's gonna look like I was trying to rip off this episode.

Pretty sure we've seen him in glasses somewhere before though.

Okay, the little Beauty and the Beast sign is cute.

I legit think that Caleb might have been Chester in a wig. He sounds like him, has a similar body shape, etc. They purposely blur his face when he turns to look at Parker in the next shot. Of course, that might just be to hide the horrible vomit effect but still, why do we never see his face? Usually they show their faces.

Everything about this scene. The way Parker's hair is weird and kinda styled like he was trying to avoid getting the gunk on him. The way his glasses are somehow spotless yet he still takes a moment to clean them. The way he thinks this is vomit but is just totally fine with it. Would you just stand there calmly if somebody just threw up on your face? Also, does this count as blackface?

Pretty certain she only invited them over because she wanted to bang Parker and you know what? Good for her. Go for it girl.

I appreciate the extra detail that this bed is the nicest, cleanest bed they've had on the show. They could have just made it generically gross like the other beds but no, they wanted to make sure we all saw how spotless Chester's bed was when he lied to Parker.

I love that this is the smallest bed yet but Parker sleeps like a legit vampire.

Pretty sure they just had Beetlejuice in their house.

Thank you for catering towards my choking kink once more guys.

Unfortunately, no marks left on his throat this time.

The way they seem to go out of their way to show her barefoot just to stick her in these random heels in bed? Was she trying to seduce Parker with her bare feet? Or did she put on the heels before bed in case he came back and took her up on her offer?

Sonic is not an indecisive character, by any means. He'll mull over something sometimes, but once he makes up his mind, it’s very hard to sway him because he lives by his way (his own way). If there is something he doesn’t agree with or doesn’t want to do, he straight up won’t do it.

That said, a huge part of Sonic’s character is acquiescence.

Sonic is good to go with the flow. He doesn’t always need to be in charge. He doesn’t always need things to go his way or according to a plan. And most importantly, as a character who talks a lot to avoid actually saying anything, his actions really do speak louder than words.

So, what’s important to understand is that Sonic goes along with things—even things that don't always come naturally to him—not because he feels obligated, forced, or pressured, but because he’s a more willing participant than he wants to let on.

Why? Because it’s easier to let the water flow when someone else opens the floodgates.

Took a nap in the middle of the day and had the most bizarre series of dreams, some were in fact nightmares, HOWEVER Ollie and Felix were in the last one??? Felix Catton continues to be the most beautiful man I've ever seen in my conscious or unconscious life???? All I got was one of the best and most real feeling kisses I've ever had in a dream, and I'm so mad I woke up. :(

cannot escape Saltburn or the Felix/Reader/Oliver fantasies even while asleep it seems...

#i will say the early part of the dream was very different. i Was jason momoa for a while there. also a child. also maybe peacemaker #evan Peters as magneto was tearing apart school buses and children and also he fucked my (whoever i was as jason momoa) mom which i saw??#then there was two of me (jason momoa)?? he also may have become peacemaker i might be misremembering. we were in the jungle #no metal so he wasnt a threat #except he was peacemaker and i (artie the writer in the body of jason momoa) am not a good fighter and he bullied me for it. womp womp #then we were saved by a tribe of superheroes who lived in the jungle and were definitely pitting us against each other #but i wasnt Jason momoa anymore except i was when i was swinging through the jungle like george of the jungle #but i was me when i got to the beach and started swimming and hunting for food and shoving every random piece of food into my mouth #except the eel which i was told i had to cook 😞#cooked the eel over a tealight at the beach camp/tribe which i was apparently part of even though i was meant to have been with the forest #also spoke to some irl collegues from the festivals i worked at last year and aparently as an 'initiate' to the tribe i and the others #have to find a place to sleep in the open #also that theres some kind of game???? some weird game that happens with the forest tribe initiates???? like hide and seek #and we on the beach only have a set time to prepare #immediately me and the rest of the beach initiates are like Get Fukt were not sleeping on the sand and gravitate towards #the weird warehouse based playground?? that was there for some reason?? and had so many security cameras??? what was my mind doing honestly #its under cover but the two other initiates im close to now dont feel like its secure enough to not be found #also the hide and seek aspect now has sinister undertones for those doing the hiding it seems. its more nightmare again #im a very awkward person irl with touch (its the autism lol) so it was big of me to hold hands with this dude #because we were running out of time to hide and i was afraiddddd #for the record i shouldnt have been lmfao #ANYWAYS idk when or who gives me the tip that i should hide on the other side of these weird black bed frame situations #but im assured by a girl i went to uni with (maddy i lov u thanks for cameoing in my dream???) that it works???#so im squeezed up in the corner behind this loft bedframe and it turns out the hiders can see like it's a sunny daytime #seekers are going around in the dark #makes it much less spooky #also it means i just got to watch fi and ollie (and others) being hot and essentially hunting people down #(hm do i have a thing for predator/prey dynamics??? that's future arties problem to think about)#the point is fi and ollie find my friend maddy #who is just in front of me but i duck out of their grasp consistently but they're weirdly persistent so much that even maddy comments on it

Still thinking about Trollhunter!Barbara AU where Bular gets...well, not redeemed, but at least brought over to her side, because I don't know what she'd actually do with him when everything's said and done.

Trollmarket won't have him nor, I imagine, would any other troll tribe. Because whereas changelings--and probably Argh when he first showed up--were reviled based on what they represent, trolls can point to Bular specifically and say, "He killed someone I loved. He took my whelps from me. He raided my tribe and destroyed us." And there's no forgiving that.

The Order sure as hell won't protect him. He hurt, humiliated, and terrorized changelings for centuries; the only thing that would keep them from hunting him down and killing him themselves is their ingrained fear of him and the knowledge of what he'd do to them if their attempt on his life failed.

As for staying in Arcadia, I think that would be a no-go too. Not because of the residents, but because of Strickler. I can see him putting up with Bular for the sake of the mission as he's always done, but after Gunmar and Morgana are defeated? Forget it. Asking him to play nice with Bular after all the abuse and cruelties Bular inflicted on him and his people would be a bridge too far.

But someone has to watch him because Bular cannot be trusted to live peacefully on his own. Grudgingly joining Barbara's side doesn't mean he suddenly becomes someone who doesn't delight in tormenting/killing/eating "lesser" beings. Left to his own devices I don't think it would take much provocation for him to revert to his old ways, at which point Barbara would be held accountable for any deaths he causes because she's the one who decided to spare his life in the first place.

So where would he go? Who would take on the thankless task of trying to tame him, or at least direct his violence and aggression towards productive ends? That's a problem Barbara would have a hell of a time solving.

Bular wipes the floor with him and Barbara intervenes just before Bular can kill him #Maybe THAT'S the event that causes Draal to leave Trollmarket in shame #assuming that she's able to talk her way out of an initial death match with him like Jim had)#Oh but I should clarify I don't mean Bular becomes Barbara's bestie #I mean that he's the muscle that protects her and Jim from other threats #no even she's like 'LOL fuck that guy' when she hears what he's done #but it turns out being a doctor and a general have a lot in common #in that you may not like the person you're required to treat/ally with #but you're accountable to a higher cause than your personal feelings #also all of this assumes that Strickler doesn't use one of the 1001 ways he has access to to kill Bular to save everyone the trouble #A plan he may or may not have hatched with members of Team Trollhunter who will never confess #Barbara KNOWS one of them did it but she gets blank stares #and she's frustrated but she also gets it because they all had excellent reasons for wanting Bular dead #but she feels weirdly guilty that she talked him into coming to her side for a chance at a better life #and her side killed him IMMEDIATELY

#this is for tams before you taob bitches start harassing me 🤺🤺🤺#I have the choice to have two pretty normal length chapters or one OBNOXIOUSLY long one #I’m hesitant to choose the long one bc it’s a v oc focused chapter and I feel like making people read such a huge chunk of fic in one go #that has limited focus on the actual fire siblings that the fic is about is a bit of a piss take #but for that very reason I don’t want to have two chapters bc I like the idea of this chapter being self-contained #like it was NOT supposed to be so long I just got stupidly attached to the ocs and the story being told #it was initially just gonna be an almost interlude chapter to showcase the harsh reality of life again #idk I’ll probs do one chapter and try cut it down #tbh the first 4k words are pretty zuko-azula heavy and the rest of the chapter will be then INTERACTING with the ocs #I feel like I worded this to sound like they aren’t there at all. they are lol #I’m not worried about the ocs on principle bc I do think at this point that if ur reading one of MY fics and ur someone who hates ocs #then that’s on you LMAO like I have a brand to keep what’s your excuse #we’ll see #twice as many stars

Having a special interest in a character with an unfortunate design means when i see redesigns that lean into the unfortunate aspects I am fully aware that I'm the only one who is aware of this and I have to bear the knowledge and just keep scrolling because it is not worth it

#kiyos outfit is indeed based off of a fit from an old vis. kei music video. like almost entirely lifted #but a lot of vkei pulls from military outfits for fashion inspo #kiyos outfit at a distance can easily resemble a w.w.2 uniform. the red armband symbolizing a club leader has no place in the outfit #because hes not a club leader #if he had any other outfit the armband would not raise any eyebrows because its anime #but paired with the military adjacent uniform whether intentional or not it is suuuuuch a big accident on the designers part lol #and lore wise kiyo would know this! he is an anthropologist. which could open another can of worms #anyway what im getting at is #i see a lot of designs that really lean heavily into the militaristic design it lends itself to #and yes while the designs look good #its just sort of like kok*chis hat problem times ten #and its like i know a lot of people in this fandom are teenagers and rhe critical thinking braincell is still kicking in #but i see it A LOT in mastermind designs as well #reallt this is a bit of a nonissue but. its something else to keep in mind about kiyo and his design when showing him off to ppl #because ive had more than one non v3/dr fan express initial apprehension at his design for these reasons #its 7:30 in the morning
