yknow, i really love the SR cards where the main plot is basically just NXX Boy Goes And Does A Thing, And He SUCKS AT IT!!!

vyn has SR Mercury In Retrograde where he does a fantastic job being absolute ass at household plumbing. marius has SR Overtone where he gets an A++++++ for being the last guy you wanna lend your guitar to, because hes really bad at playing the dang guitar. and at first i didn't know what artem's card was that followed this pattern but sam @samsspambox blessedly informed me that it's SR Thin Veil, the paywalled SR i dont have yet. and in that card story artem fucking SUCKS at PUPPETS

(sidenote: i generally weep at paywalled top-up cards but the concept of basically having to pay for artem's cringe is So Very funny to me)

but now here is where the injustice becomes apparent.....vyn, marius, and artem each have an SR Epic Fail: The Card Story

BUT WHERE IS LUKE'S?????????

to avoid any misunderstandings, here are the traits of what, to me, makes up an "SR Epic Fail":

one Main Thing is the thing our beloved nxx boy will suck at and what and it's also generally Main Focus of the whole card story (which then later leads to a sweeter core message about vulnerability and love and being okay with not being perfect etc)

our boy has to suck In The Moment. not in a flashback, not in a referenced past anecdote, no no. i want to have to tap through the entire excruciating scene/s of him failing at whatever hes doing

the story format has to be in a contained card story and not a recurring-but-brief theme in a personal story

with this criteria in place, it is IMMEDIATELY apparent that luke is the only one without an SR Epic Fail. the closest story instances would be the following:

SSR Through The Heavens (the skateboard card) since he fails at being a normal not-hypervigilant human being and also the NSB makes fun of him with memes, but this doesnt count because it wasn't the Main Focus of the story, there was a whole lot of other stuff going on and the Main Focus was the skateboarding which he did awesome at

some past anecdotes and flashbacks in SR How I Remember You (the luke blindfold card) about how luke sucks at drawing and sucks at charades, but this doesnt count because the drawing was just referenced in a few sentences and the charades fail was a brief flashback. it's also not the Main Focus of the story as well

his general inability/difficulty with cooking that is a recurring theme across his personal stories doesnt count because it's not a card, and thus isnt eligible

this is terrible. this is horrid. i love luke and i want a card thats all about him messing up at a minor activity. i want a full SR Luke Fucks Up At Cooking where the focus is what it says on the tin

i can even see the story so clearly in my mind's eye. it'd be so easy. maybe luke tries to make gingerbread man cookies but accidentally ends up with a gingerbread massacre.

luke mentions hes gonna bake and mc is excited about it because it seems he put a lot of thought and research and prep into it, maybe it actually starts with a scene of them shopping for ingredients together, and theyre both looking forward to luke's baking! but when it actually happens hes like "oh sorry a case came up, dont come over to my place anymore!!" which is sus

mc comes over anyway the next day to pick up some stuff she forgot and luke is there acting awfully nervous and his whole BUILDING smells of burnt gingerbread but there are no gingerbread treats to be found. luke keeps evading until mc finds The Massacre in a plastic container box haphazardly shoved into one of the kitchen cupboards

and it's an absolute baked-goods crime scene in there. none of the gingerbread men look like they were ever even men or homonids of any kind to begin with, it instead looks like all the dough just came together in the oven to create an amorphous Blob with the odd "limb" sticking out here and there. what luke has created is a gingerbread abomination.

mc stares at the gingebread abyss, and it stares back.

upon further investigation, mc even finds slight burn marks around the oven's door too and luke has his face in his hands, his shame is IMMENSE, just about as immense as the aroma of gingerbread treats everywhere. he was hiding it because he was worried that he got her so hyped up for the whole thing that it'd be SUCH a disappointment to her that he fucked it up!

and mc is like "hey no it's okay, as long as it tastes good, it doesnt matter how bad it looks!" and then she breaks off a piece from the gingerbread monstrosity and eats faster than luke can warn her "NO NO DONT DO IT---"

it tastes like shit

anyway they go out to get desserts from cafe instead and mc reassures luke that she obviously still loves him even if he created a baked treats atrocity and broke the genevabread convention. she tells him that if hes having trouble or if he fails, his instinct shouldnt be to hide it all and avoid her but to let her know and so she can help out, because she wants to be there for the wins and for the losses, for the good days and the bad. luke then goes all blushy grateful happy and they kiss and love is real.

the end. the post-story text conversation can go something along the lines of

luke: okay so i figured out why my gingerbread men went nuclear

mc: oh? why?

luke: i....misread "tsp" as "tbsp".........every time

mc: HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAA

pleeease keep talking about toys...i think this is interesting and smth i've never thought too hard about but it makes sense and i like to hear your opinions on modern toys

(ask pertaining to this post)

holy shit okay !! i would love to ramble on so, i shall!

okay im no expert on toy sales history, this is all just observation from my life experiences and i'll try to keep each part i want to go over relatively short!

that being said lets start with a small one that i've personally noticed as a canadian: Kinder egg toys! i remember when they used to come with like 4-8+ pieces, and you needed the included step by step manual to assemble them. they would often come with sticker sheets to decorate them with, and they would often be articulated or be set on wheels or have some sort of fun or movement or general functionality to them:

dont those look awesome? wrapped in 2 kinds of chocolate, and for only like 2$! i remember they would come in all shapes and sizes, all sorts of animals and vehicles and sometimes freaky little abominations, as you can see above, and sometimes even puzzles! they were such a special treat as a kid.

but kinder eggs now? come with a maximum of like 3 pieces that just snap together (usually the front and back of the toy, and then the platform they stand on). and thats all they mostly are now, stiff toys that stand on platforms wahhooooo yippeee

idk just look at the quality difference from the old ones above compared to some of the new ones:

like..... these are..... nothing! literally nothing. just a figure snapped to a pole/platform and thats it! not very interesting for more than 3 minutes max.

now i know what you're thinking: "not ALL of the old kinder toys had to have been bangers" and you'd be right, some were lame as hell, but even the lame ones from before look more intricate than the ones we have now, like can you see what i mean, just detail-wise?

it just feels so cheap and shitty, i could go on and on but more is explained later. point is, it sucks.

anyway that's a very small example and we can move onto bigger and better ones, and maybe even one that everyone else might have noticed by now; McDonald's toys! remember when they were actually toys?

and not just stiff figurines?

(the minions franchise was like CRACK for companies who love making profit off of nothing but stiff rounded plastic. probably the cheapest form of "toy" i can think of)

and yeah, again, its not like there werent figurines back in the day too, there's ALWAYS been lame as hell mcdonalds toys, but looking among many modern mcdonalds toys, you dont see anything as cool as the old ones. literally every major modern movie/franchise right now is nothing but figurines. the most recent actually interactive mcd's toy ive seen is when they collabed with hasbro games

again, companies just seem to be pumping out quantities over quality.

but why?

well, for starters toys are becoming cheaper (both in price and quality) because prices have sky rocketed and stores are forced to only stock cheaper things, therefore the cheap things sell the most, and then more of them get made, and statistics get fucked, etc etc the cycle repeats.

but toy companies know one thing, and that's that things that are "cuter" always sell more. "cuter" being used with vitriol because their idea of 'cute' is 'more glitter and sparkles and rainbow colours and obnoxiousness' oh, and dont forget the huge soulless bug eyes on all of them!

i know that people love these things, but theyre so..... uncanny. their stare is piercing, their stance is so stiff, i always felt bad actually playing with the only one of these i had growing up, and not just because it freaked me out, it just genuinely didnt feel good to play with.

and i knoowwwww people are obsessed with these things, but come on, you have to admit theyre SO unoriginal! theyre just cookie cutter shapes!

these things are horrifying and, at best, belong on a shelf.

these "beany boos" are so woobified and almost feel like a flanderized version of a stuffed animal, and they've completely taken over "beanie babies", which were wonderful soft little things that actually had movement and weren't stiff to cuddle! I also feel like they're almost trying to copy what webkinz was, in a way, as some of those were stiff too (but still loveable and not burdened with an uncanny, vacant stare)

anyway this is getting insanely long and im sorry but i feel like im going insane every time i see new toys nowadays. the like.... "cuteification" of everything is driving me insane, and the fact that they are simply just lower quality than what we used to get, because of prices rising and causing easy-to-make things to become more and more popular.

examples to further prove these points:

extreme woobifying or "cuteification" by almost completely removing all horse anatomy in favour of thin limbs, heavy makeup eyes that are now on the front of her face, and modern influencer eyebrows. on a horse.

and the extreme-simplifying of toys can be seen quite well on those mini polly pocket sets!! see this one here?

almost allllll of those little plastic things could be rotated or rearranged or moved or fucked with in some manner, it was awesome. i loved these miniature houses they always came with so much shit. wanna guess what the newer ones look like?

you guessed it, like shit!!

man even beyblades used to come with like, all sorts of different pieces both metal and plastic alike, and you had to assemble them yourself and you could interchange pieces to obtain a different weight which would affect your attacks against other beyblades, etc etc:

and looking at them now? they seem to be mostly made of- yep, you guessed it, hard cheap plastic.

anyway holy shit i literally reached the 30 image limit on a single post tumblr really said thats ENOUGH !! i cant believe i just spent that long talking about the worlds most pointless thing but at any rate i hope you enjoyed it and i hope you see my vision. because like i said im not insanely knowledgeable on any of this in particular, but its hard not to notice the decline in quality of all of todays modern toys.

#i didnt even go off about the entire brand of toys that exist just to shit in a cup after you feed it chemical mixtures #and i literally cant ive talked soooo much on this post i need to go smoke weed and to go bed LOL #00 #03

good morning, friends! im exhausted and only got like four hours of sleep, but at least im (kind of) mentally prepared to revisit the episode, so (you probably know the drill by now), here’s all my commentary and thoughts and stuff from the episode!

i feel like its important for everyone to know that i made myself an ice tea at 11:30pm because i knew i wouldnt be able to survive the episode alone

(and dont suggest that the ice tea is the cause of the lack of sleep, if anything it’s the only reason i got to sleep)

i was very nervous in the beginning cos i was pretty sure photjanee wouldnt be homophobic but also what if she is

props to her for not asking tinn cos he was visibly nervous/afraid

and gun told gim and she didnt even say anything at first. she just looked so freaking proud, then hugged him and said “whoever you love, i love” and i love her so much she’s a freaking perfect mother

"im sorry, i was just joking around with my friend, i didnt mean to insult you" yeah, okay, well thats only part of the problem. other problems are: a. the fact that you had to say such a horrible thing in order to joke around with your friend. if that's the kind of humour your friend has, that person should not be your friend, unless it's also your humour, in whcih case, that isnt a sincere apology. b. it's not just that you insulted gun. you also insulted an entire community of people, of students, of human beings, who just want to exist and live as people doing what they want to do. you cant say something homophobic and then only apologise because it hurt one person close to you. you say something homophobic, and then you apologise - in a way that you GENUINELY MEAN - and say you had no intention of hurting so many people, including gun. or, alternatively, dont say the homophobic thing in the first place. c) you’re a freaking TEACHER. a TEACHER is there to SUPPORT and CARE for ALL of their students. a TEACHER should not be saying terrible things where ANYONE could overhear. if a TEACHER cannot be supportive for ALL STUDENTS, then they should not be a teacher. (im a huge defender of teachers cos theyre human beings with lives and families and hobbies and theyre more than just the adult human that tells you 2 plus 2 is 4. but i am also a huge defender of students cos theyre human beings and also children and theyre still developing. and i am especially a defender of students and an offender of teachers when the teacher clearly hates children or isnt a good teacher or should not at all be a teacher. so this isnt me hating all teachers, i love teachers, i could talk about how unappreciated they are for hours. but i cannot stand it when a teacher behaves the way this teacher did. i hate it so freaking much.)

i love both Ryuji and Morgana and think theyre great characters but i absolutely fucking HATE the way anything wrong that Morgana does is exaggerated to hell and back in order to paint him in a bad light, while anything wrong Ryuji does is very conveniently forgotten by the fanbase in order to still keep him as the pure himbo awesome friend in their eyes.

like, Morgana is hated on for telling you to go to sleep, something that isnt even his fault - like, if he wasnt in the game, Joker would still think to himself about going to sleep and you would have exactly the same restrictions. its a gameplay thing, not a morgana thing.

Morgana is hated on for taking time away from Haru's arc, when whats happening is actually that Morgana is an existential crisis WHILE HAVING NO MEMORIES OF HIS PAST and feeling like hes becoming useless to the team, that is made worse by the entire team disregarding him for like a month or more, SPECIALLY RYUJI. AND THEN RYUJI DIRECTLY REFUSES TO APOLOGIZE WHEN THE ENTIRE TEAM LITERALLY WENT OUT OF THEIR WAY TO GO APOLOGIZE TO HIM.

but even then, its not Morgana's fault the writers wrote him into having an existential crisis around the time Haru would have her arc. its a writing flaw, not Morgana's flaw.

also i know Morgana and Ryuji bickered during the entire game so its not like Morgana is entirely blameless, but it was never about things they were directly sensitive to!! but during that arc, Ryuji's insistence on Morgana being useless which became more and more common really got to him, and Ryuji kept saying it even when everybody noticed that Morgana was depressed about it, and as i said, he then went on to never, ever apologize.

in fact im VERY sure if Atlus ever decided to write a scene of Ryuji apologizing to Morgana, everybody would call that bad writing cuz "Ryuji did nothing wrong, its all Morgana's fault"

as i said i really really like both characters to bits, i dont dislike any of the Phantom Thieves, and Ryuji is one of my favourites even within that group, but im so tired of people praising Ryuji to hell and back while on the next paragraph putting down Morgana the same amount, refusing to acknowledge the biggest thing they hate Morgana for, was caused in good part by Ryuji and not even entertaining the idea they might both be flawed characters.

chase fic has the worst timing cause my gen2 obsession is coming back. i love mike in a way nobody else does or understands. he actually kind of sucks a little bit and its not okay but it is justified. they shouldve let him kill scott i think. i want them to kiss. as an experiment. party scike is in the house 2nite. but again in a way nobody else understands. both of them suck just different amounts and i think that makes them compatible in an awful way. they hate each other. there is no romance in their relationship its probably for tax benefits. people want them to kiss i want to watch them fight. three dollars on mike winning. mike understands his mental health but would rather lick a busy sidewalk then ever confess it. scott has no idea whats going on up there but he'd tell anyone as a funny. they are made for each other. jo as well. my queen forever. she was the blueprint. theyre both dog motifs but in awful horrible ways. in the same way actually. i think theyd be great friends but in the worst way. the mutant maggots plus scott mean a lot to me actually. worst team plus scott ever. the most dysfunctional found family. emphasis on dysfunctional. they hate each other and have the worst time ever whenever more then 3 of them are together. scike is real too you're right about them. they shouldn't get a happy ending they need to be violent. they shouldn't kiss they should clean their blood off eachothers hands after they fight. they aren't in a good relationship it's bad and tragic but it's everything. they're also funny as shit. they're both just going through shit and shenanigans. very funny but also they're the actual worst. scike is awesome

jo was the best too. to be honest I didn't like her but on a rewatch she was literally the realest character. she's an icon shes the moment she's incredible

the mutant maggots were one of the best teams in total drama. on tier with team Amazon and team skunk butt. easily one of the top 5 at the very least. theyre never having a good time literally ever they literally all hate eachother so so much and also they're sooo sweet and mean everything.

so i had heard that some of the newer releases of Monster High dolls were being made with a different type of hair fiber and that a lot of people were upset about this.

i did not, until last night, realize exactly how bad it is.

i had some of the original MH dolls as a kid, but i wasnt able to tap into the collecting hobby until i had become an adult, years after my old toys had already been donated (a tragedy, but not really the point) and before the new reboot was launched. so my doll collecting hobby really began with Rainbow High. i loved that they came with a second outfit, they had long, soft, styleable hair, and they had substance to their bodies! unlike barbie dolls, RH has curves and weight in your hand when you hold them. i thought that was awesome.

anyway. i knew that RH didnt use the saran hair that barbie often used, and that mattel used for MH back in the day and in the reboot. being new to the concept of different types of hair, it didnt matter much to me. i could see the pros and cons of both saran and the type of hair RH used.

now, recently, i tried to buy Skulltimate Secrets Draculaura for my roommate for their birthday, and amazon let me wait a whole month for them to ship it before saying, just kidding, we dont have it, heres your money back. RUDE AS HELL!

well fine. now the SS Fearidescent is out, so ill just get them that one instead. i see in the reviews that her hair type is different, they voice disappointment but ultimately shes still cute and theres not a lot that we, as consumers, can do about it except maybe complain.

and im thinking, whatever, im used to RH hair anyway, and yeah its more staticky but its still pretty soft, so how bad could it be?

well, she came in the mail yesterday, and we were pretty disappointed at just how bad it could be.

ive come to realize that RH hair is not made of polypropylene, the new material theyre giving MH as of this line (ive heard that theyve given g3 clawdeen this type of hair before, which is a whole other can of worms that isnt one of the points of this post), but for rainbow high they generally use Nylon (correct me if im wrong) which is still cheaper and less authentic to real hair than saran, but is still generally pretty soft.

ive never had a doll with pin straight hair (and almost no styling product) feel this BAD in my hands. its coarse, lightweight, and easy to frizz, just from a quick finger comb. i soaked her in hot water and conditioner, and shes only a little bit softer.

i had my partner, who, besides being supportive of my hobbies and listening to me talk about it, knows next to nothing about the differences between types of dolls, feel the difference between the first g3 Drac, RH Karma Nichols, and Fearidescent Drac. on a few quick comparative touches, they noted that saran feels the most like real hair, while RH nylon feels kinda soft but not quite as nice. then they touched new Drac, and all they said was, "ah. depression."

i didnt have my hopes up at all but my expectations were still shattered. i legitimately didnt realize it was this bad. the downgrade is Immense. ive seen people rag on RH hair, and this is WORSE. i seriously cant believe how much worse it is. i didn't think mattel would make a $30 Beloved Brand Name doll with all those accessories and give her DOLLAR STORE KNOCKOFF HAIR, but i guess thats on me for holding a corporation to any sort of production standard in 2023 🙃

anyway, all this is to say, hair fiber snobs, im so sorry and i get it now. this shit sucks.

a more in depth background of my persona 3 oc...

the one linked here! It's a lot so its gonna be under the cut but it's much more than what i had before!! idk how many will see this but it would be so cool and awesome if you read it because these two give me such intense brain worms i need to tell everyone about them (will include p3 spoilers)

touma hiroya was born as a surprise to an, all things considered, normal family. a mom, dad, and a brother, teijo, 10 years his elder. his family was not expecting another child but welcomed him anyways

the pregnancy caused a lot of complications, but they thought they were in the clear during his birth, unfortunately more issues arised and his mother passed away shortly after, devastating the others. a new life was brought into the world but at the cost of another.

both grew bitter towards the newborn, silently blaming him for the death of the mother. it took until his father shouted at the now-toddler for teijo to realize how foolish he was being. touma was completely innocent.

but things only got worse as time went on, their father having resorted to drinking since the passing of his wife and quickly developed an addiction. obviously i wont be going into abuse detail but their situation gets Bad, but teijo always makes sure to protect touma always

he manages to get accepted into a college, with an insane amount of hard work he is able to gather enough money to get an apartment and take in touma, pretty much raising him. teijo finds himself leaning more towards science, while touma starts picking up his medical books

years pass, now roughly 20 and 30, teijo gets himself into the kirijo groups scientists, and touma is in medical school. all things seem to be going well for the two, teijo sending touma extra money to support him every once in awhile.

that is, until, again, things take a turn for the worse. teijo gets sucked into the deeper parts of the group, seeing the experiments theyre doing on the shadows, and worse, people. but hes too far into the group now he cannot back out without being in danger

it becomes obvious, though, how he hesitates. and soon enough they turn on him. they realize teijo has a strong potential, and try to force-summon a persona from him. it works, but he is unable to control it, and his own persona kills him.

touma is clueless. he stays clueless, it wasnt uncommon for months to go by without hearing from his brother, he is busy after all. then the accident happens, the explosion. he is told his brother died there. and hes alone in the world.

touma tries to go on, tries to keep going in school but he struggles. he finds himself skipping classes, sleeping in, after some years he runs out of money, he has no choice but to drop out. he tries getting jobs, but none last too long. a few more years and hes out of money and jobs that will accept him. unable to afford his apartment anymore, hes stuck wondering the streets. its now he discovers the dark hour, terrified of it, but able to use it to his advantage. he felt awful, breaking into places and stealing, but he would starve otherwise.

its on fateful day that he is found. he had fainted on the street during the dark hour, after not having had enough to eat the day prior. shuji finds him, clothes torn and dirty, trying to get him to awaken. after a bit, he does.

during this time its early spring, a month or two after makoto had joined SEES. seeing the potential in touma, shuji decides to, at the very least, help him through the night. he can see what else can be learned about him, if he'll be useful to his cause.

after bringing him to his home, getting him showered and fed, they talk. shuji realizes he's heard of touma before, the younger brother to one of the scientists. it feels like fate, his brother had an extremely strong persona, if touma was any similar, perhaps he could be useful

if things were handled differently. with the plan in mind, shuji offers him to stay with him at his home. he even pulls some strings and allows touma to be an assistant nurse at the school.

months pass, and touma never awakens to his persona. but its alright, he is proving himself to be extremely useful by having the medical knowledge he does, helping out the kids after tough fights and long tartarus trips.

touma is EXTREMELY grateful towards shuji, feeling as if he saved his life. during those months he can't help but find himself falling for him. sure, it helps he saved him, but he genuinely adores shuji. he finds him so charming and funny, he feels like a schoolboy with a crush

meanwhile shuji is finding himself feeling the same. which complicates things a lot. he can't have feelings for someone right now! the world is destined to end, its unworth saving, theres no point in dealing with love. he tries to keep up appearances but shuji is stressed as hell

hes in heavy, heavy denial he could love someone in this cruel of a world, trying to find any reason to justify it. and he does. it all makes sense, why the pieces would fall into place so neatly. touma was destined to be the avatar of nyx. it was so clear!

shuji would be the god of the new world, with touma by his side to help bring it to fruition. no other reason would he be so drawn to him, right? so his plan continues in motion, until all 12 arcana shadows are defeated, and shuji starts his plan.

touma watches as someone who he loved betrays him, betrays them all. he tries his hardest to reason with shuji, to beg, to plead to listen to him, that killing these kids he cares for won't do any good, that the world is still worth saving, but shuji's delusions have taken over

shuji raves about how this is destiny, how this is what they wanted, right? to be together, and they will be, with the creation of the new world everything will be perfect. and the rest plays out in canon, aigis saving everyone, and shuji getting shot.

despite it all, the betrayal, touma still loves him. as shuji walks backwards towards the edge of the roof, touma runs over to him, trying to save him from falling, but it's too late at that point. shuji had fallen. without a second thought touma goes after him.

he doesn't think about it, if this is how he dies..then let it be. he'd rather die with shuji than live with losing someone else he loves. through the rush of doom, its finally now touma's persona awakens, eos, the goddess of dawn.

touma, who had managed to grab hold of shuji's hand, pulls him closer against the wind, and with eos' wings they're able to safely make it to the ground. what i have after this is pretty..up in the air, but pretty much it comes to shuji realizing he was fucking crazy and a LOT of therapy. a lot. touma and shuji stay away from the kids for awhile because..well they kind of doubt theyd want to see them. again still nothing concrete after this but. they end up being okay one way or another.

this is just like. toumas in-canon story how it would go In Canon but i also love pretending everything is fine and that theyre silly and in love but also ouch ouch ouch ouch they hurt me to think about sometimes

also sorry if not all of this makes a lot of sense within canon its been awhile since i beat the game.. but uaugh. augh. uahg. they mean so much to me.

ABT THE SWITCH CLIMAX STORY THING. I AGREE WITH U SO MUCH i need more tsumugi and sora interaction please !??! Like it feels like they barely have anything going on sometimes, like they do have interactions but idk its like !? The fact that theyre a trio and yet their relationship feels underdeveloped makes me sad bc. I love both sora and mugi sm!??! Idk if im making sense like i know they do interact and what is there I enjoy (like idk i think its funny how they kinda take turns taking care of each other, tsumugi being his usual mommy self and sora being very like ... "ok senpai lets get u to bed" sometimes LITERALLY) BUT LIKE. idk its not enough especially compared to their respective dynamics with natsume like... yeah. Im not saying their relationship is bad just that it lacks depth and I just wish we could see more of it, more of them bonding without needing natsume so they can truly feel like a trio where everyone gets along and not like a triangle yknow. YEAAAAA i love sora and tsumugis dynamic SOOOOO MUCHHHHHH i love how silly they can get yet also be so tender..... such as tsumugi trying to meet sora at his level when there is a conflict, such as him attempting to join him in playing with the plushies mugi had made to more easily converse with him (although it didnt work out too well bc tsumugi kinda sucked at it AKJHSDFJKH) LIKE!! THEY HAVE SUCH A GOOD AND FUN DYNAMIC!!! i just wish it was utilized more and had a bit more depth to it!!

like with natsume and tsumugi theres. well. Theres alot. you got them meeting in childhood, the war, theyve truly been through thick and thin together and that weight carries into how they interact

with natsume and sora they too met in childhood, aswell as natsume being very protective over sora due to his own internal struggles and sora deeply looking up to natsume (and tsumugi ofc! but natsume is his shisho!) which also carries into how they interact

tsumugi and sora dont really have this ?? at least not to the same extent. so i guess in contrast their dynamic ends up feeling shallow. that aswell as shipbait sells and people dont exactly ship those two very often so it tends to take a backseat in favor of natsume pairs JDKHSJKFH I JUST. GIVE THEM SOMETHING TO BOND OVER!!! PROPERLY!!!!!!! since they DONT have the same foundation with each other as they do natsume that makes this a prime opportunity to BUILD ONE!! theres SO much potential for those two but it just never gets utilized properly....... so many missed opportunities............... happyele dont fuck this up for me

well people outside of my mutuals dont really see my ocs. which is fine but i have sat down for awhile and thought about if parousia was popular what people would say about them. aleki would a controversial vriska-like figure and people would be making alekixbennet hurt comfort art everyday for ever. also people wouldn't get bennet at all he'd be woobifyied and be one of the top characters even tho he's only there for a few episodes. faduhl would be villanized ryan would just be "OMG SHES SO HOT STEP ON ME" and be a dumb himbo. people would unanimously hate chyell and talii except for a small faction who'd really be into shipping jonathan/talii. people might also like chyell for ebing a bad boy and turn them intoa sauve awesome yandere bad boy. which is false johnnie would be woobified so hard it makes me sick to my stomach. he'd be the cinnamon roll. which makes me sick you should kind of hate johnnie. you should kind of hate everyone they all suck. no one would remember ekaz exists. i dont even want to get into max because it's another 50/50 they get stripped of all character and turned into a sweet cinnamon bun OR everyones hates them so much. i think if we tried hard enough we could get into how they're all problematic rep and cancel parouisa forever. my vision

yeahj elementary school "Gifted Class" absolutely Contributed to whatever the fuck is going on with my Self Worth Issues (in both directions. "ohh i suck" and "ohhh im actually perfect and better than anyone else ever" neither of which are healthy i think.) but like Oh my fucking god i miss the PUZZLES. the stupid gay little logic puzzles that contributed nothing to my actual Education. i miss going to those competition things where we just played those like Knowledge Boardgames. i miss set. and qbitz. i was so fucking awesome at those games. i miss them so bad.<-well to be fair i still own both but it's not the same if im not winning against other 3rd graders who think theyre better than anyone else

but anyways its crazy how seto and kido are essentially doomed for obscurity cuz like theyre the last characters to receive backstories + their backstories are contained entirely in the novels, which is like, the least accessible kagepro media. and not just in terms of how difficult they are to buy (i think... im too lazy to research this. cuz like measuring that in diff parts of the world (like say US vs my country) is blehhh) but also in terms of like, how easy it is to go thru. cuz like surprise surprise a manga is leagues easier for a person to go thru than a novel. same for an anime. and not to mention that bc kagepro is a franchise that has strayed from the light of god, the novels, just like every other kgpr media, expects you to know other kgpr media in order for you to understand it. so yeah the novel is not just tough shit to get (legally), but its also tough shit to even understand. (and also getting it illegally isnt super easy either bc ppl these days are sadly straying away from the blessed art of piracy)

WHICH SUCKS!! FOR MY TWO KIDS!! SETO AND KIDO! cuz all of their core character development + plot contributions are Novel-Exclusive. like they did not do jack shit in the manga. and the anime is hysterical to me bc it adapted the first 6 novels (first 5 cuz thats what was released at the time and some of novel 6 cuz i guess jin had figured tht plot point by then), but not the last 2 novels. AND ITS THESE LAST TWO NOVELS that have setokido development.... ohh it is a big joke. a sad joke. cuz most kgpr fans are not going out of their way to read the novels. so theyre not gonna learn the deal abt these characters in the manga, or in the anime. at least w the songs kido is a bit better off cuz she got never lost word with an awesome MV. BUT SETO.... HIS MV ISNT EVEN OFFICIALLY ONLINE ANYWHERE!!! its so bad for him. its bad for the both of them but especially him since hes like, deliberately designed to blend into the background. but its bad for kido too. man.

ace attorney investigations is both way better and way worse than the original games to me in particular because in the original games you go around looking fir clues and stuff but most of the games are the courtroom parts which is complicated and confusing and awful < unless youre good at it

id like to mention ive done mock trials before and theyre actually so much fun but the games are so confusing and convoluted and strange that i dont like being behind the bench for some levels. i just dont know whats happening or what on earth phoenix is thinking

but anyway. in investigations youre almost never behind the bench and its great. phoenix isnt there at all, youre miles EDGEWORTH instead. you just look around to see clues and stuff, build the situation your head - its cool :]

but the downside is logic chess. in which you learn that miles has no clue how to play chess because its a time based game where you either stay quiet or start pushing for information and then a chess piece shows up????? and breaks the other person’s chess piece ????? its not chess. but i only really dislike it because of the time aspect, yiure on a timer and its scary

ANYWAY who even cares about game mechanics i need 2 introduce you to kay faraday

shes a little [i say little but shes like. idont know. 16-18] pink thief girl who shows up. i think after miles gets kidnapped ?????? in a haunted house ???????? and she has her speech where she talks aboyt how shes the yatagaratsu who steals the truth ect ect. i love her because when she’s not being extremely helpful she exclusively makes fun of miles. as a teenager is meant to do 👍

she talks aboyt stealing & breaking & entering in front of this whole entire lawyer so often and its hilarious. because he cant do shit about it because shes never actually stolen anything or broken and entered anything

anyway she has this little machine she got from her father called little thief that makes holograms of whatever information is inputted into it. helps with detective work 👍 and also with stealing

her dad was a defence attorney BUT. YOU SEE. HE WAS ALSO A GREAT THIEF which is where she got this whole thing from. and he was a thief WITH two other people. her uncle whos a detective that looks like hes smoking cigarettes but its just a lollipop < hes silly] and the woman who killed her dad 👍 her sprites r cool as hell

the whole first game, kay & miles are revealing a smuggling ring. can you believe it. this random rich guy and the girl he met 3 days ago who is 16. find an international smuggling ring and get them arrested. the hell

in the second game they have ❤️❤️❤️❤️ justine courtney & sebastian debeste. justine is a judge & also religious but her god is uh. the goddess of the law 👍 shes kind of a hardass but shes nice to sebastian which i appreciate because no one is nice to sebastian. which sucks

sebastian is another rich guy who only got the job cuz his dad let him. its complicated and a whole thing and seb’s dad is a. horrible person + the big bad of the second game because he killed someone, attempted to take justine’s son hostage + took sebastian hostage instead.

Theres a second big bad, his name is simon keyes, hes a clown. but an evil clown but like. he looks nice. until he starts being an ass right when you try to get him arrested. he gave kay amnesia and ill never forgive him ect ect ect

anyway thats ace attorney investigations. evil rich people & people who manipulate people who dont know better into giving them what they want r the general big bads in this one
