Although belated, happy Donald's 87th birthday and happy Father's Day!
Yes, I planned to do this on the occasion of Donald's 87th birthday, which he celebrates on June 9, but for various reasons I did not manage to do it, because I had exams and the like. And now I have, but I did, so I drew this on the occasion of Father's Day. Yes, in addition to Donald Duck being the best parent for his nieces (Huey, Dewey and Louie Duck), there are other fathers and uncles who are also Donald’s friends. I don't know, I'd like to see them all together. Certainly, apart from the fact that this year is not such a jubilee, there are still things worth knowing. This year is the 90th anniversary of the appearance of the first prototype for the creation of Donald Duck, it is also the 30th anniversary of Darkwing Duck, the 25th anniversary of PKNA (Paperinik New Adventures), the 25th anniversary of Quack Pack and the third anniversary of Legends of the Three Caballeros. Since I don't always manage to draw what I should, I decided to put all this in one pile and not all the characters were added, so I apologize for that, even though they should be here. Don't blame me for that. So I put Darkwing Duck, Disney comics (European and Brazilian), Quack Pack, Legend of the Three Caballeros, Paperinik (PKNA) and Double Duck into one, because I think this year is very good for such an anniversary. Yes, there are characters from Ducktales. And before I list who everyone is here, let me just say that I mostly put them in a modern version mixed with a classic style. Since I don't have a printer or scanner, I took pictures via the camera and you can see the accessories around this drawing on my desk. Sorry about that. Also, most of the kids here are teenagers (only Dugan Duck and Newton Gearloose aren't, they're still ordinary boys, though I don't know what I could do about Newton), and both Drake and Launchpad wear Hawaiian shirts, as does Donald Duck.
Like on Donald Duck’s own birthday, there’s his girlfriend Daisy who loves him. And besides the two of them, there are Huey Dewey and Louie Duck (Donald's nephews), April, May and June Duck (Daisy's nieces), Della Duck (Donald's twin sister, also her happy birthday), Gus Goose and Fethry Duck (Donald's cousins), Drake Mallard, Launchpad McQuack, Morgana Macawber, Gosalyn Mallard (Drake's daughter), Honker Muddlefoot, Webby Vanderquack, Gene the Genie (real boy), Gyro Gearloose (barely visible, sorry), goddess Xandra, Panchito Pistoles, Jose (Ze) Carioca, Rosinha (Maria) Vaz, Nestor (Jose’s friend), Zico and Zeca Carioca (Jose's nephews), Uno (One-A.I. Computer duck), Kay K and Lyla Lay, Reginella, Aracuan Bird and Newton Gearloose (Gyro's nephew) and Dugan Duck (Fethry's nephew). They all celebrate Donald’s birthday together, but Della’s birthday. Yes, even though it is Donald's 87th birthday, it is still more of a jubilee, because Donald doesn't look like that (he's between 30 and 50 years old like this). Yes, I wanted to add Fenton, Gandra, Scrooge, Magica, Grandma Duck, Dickie Duck and other characters, but I don't care, so they will be present another time. This is enough. Sorry about that.
Once again, happy birthday to Donald Duck, our best duck and definitely Happy Father’s Day! And happy anniversary!
And happy birthday to Della Duck!

Three Caballeros headcanons
classic, very gay edition
The timeline for Saludos Amigos is unclear, but it’s canon that Donald is a recognizable celebrity at this time. That being said, I put this at Donald vacationing on his first bit of real leave from the navy. His celebrity status being very new and small in the states but much larger outside of it.
In terms of say, Ducktales, this puts his Navel career as a source of pride, Acting and performance as a passion he pursues, and the everyday jobs he tends to loose due to luck his actual income after the Navy.
Early timeline inspired by the small design changes in Jose between the two movies, making him a juvenile of his species at the time. Approximately their early twenties.
White feathered Panchito. Twin? Tan? Or brighter juvenile feathers?
Jose will protest all day that he isn’t actually a scam artist. He simply aids tourists in finding the most entertaining of distractions and they willingly gift him in compensation. Sometimes they’re passed out when it happens.
Jose and Donald actually met as a mix of the movie and the comic. Jose was planning on making Donald his next target, but after realizing it was the REAL Donald Duck, quickly changes his mind... or rather, goes out of his way to make sure Donald has good memories at least.
That being said, he’s never actually paid for a drink in his entire life, and certainly never plans to
Jose finds Donald enchanting. Jose, he loves Brazil, and Donald doesn’t treat his home like some exotic diversion. He immerses himself into every experience completely, and Jose finds Donald’s sense of cultural wonder flattering where it should be annoying.
Jose immediately starts to flirt with Donald and Donald just figures that’s the way the guy is??? He flirts with literally everything?
There is one night early in the trip they don’t talk about. Donald can become a sad drunk and Jose comforted him the only way he knew how. If Jose had known they would become actual friends, he would not have done it. Both are sure the other doesn’t remember.
Of the three, Panchito is the vocals, Jose the instrumentals, and Donald the dancer.
Jose is always ready to dance the Samba with Donald
ALWAYS
Jose ends up in Mexico when Donald heads back towards the states at the end of his vacation. His debts at the time mean it’s probably better to skip town for a while, and with Donald to pay for his meals why not?
Jose and Panchito meet like in the comics after Donald returns home (for those who don’t know, Jose attempts to seduce a woman Panchito is courting. A series of one upmanship happens, in which Jose uses empty boast and tricks to try and get rid of Panchito, and Panchito, knowing Jose is a dirty crook, attempts to rat him out. It culminates in a horse race, which Jose wins, only for the woman to have eloped at the end)
(edit: I’ve had questions about the comic I’m referring, and you can actually find said comic here. There are other interpretations as well. I’m under the impression that the famous silver hunt is a first meeting, though I’ve never actually found it in it’s entirety to make sure. I love the idea of that one, but I have my own reasons for this one.)
They HATE each other at first. Panchito, on his honor, can not allow this scoundrel to con hard working people out of their belongings and fallows Jose around the country exposing his lies. Jose can not live like this.
After several failed attempts to shake the rooster, Jose opts for his next best weapon, his charisma
He may not know the local scene like back home, but he can smell a good time from a mile away, all he has to do is figure out what Panchito wants.
Fortunately for him, Panchito is as much a party animal as Jose is.
(It opens up the doors, but what REALLY convinces Panchito is Jose’s sense of honor. For all that he will never work, Jose does not take anything not freely given to him, be it money, possessions, women, and on one very memorable occasion, even food. Panchito, he is a sharp bird, he watches, he sees. It is the small kindnesses that convinces him to give Jose a chance)
Jose doesn’t consider Panchito anything more than a slightly more convenient annoyance until a series of adventures through the desert left him living only because of Panchito’s actions. Only then does he realize Panchito is genuine. (and oh no, what a feeling that was)
It’s a wonder how much they really have in common and get along when both of them are trying.
Panchito prefers the wide open plains, and Jose, the bustling cities, but Panchito finds adventure wherever, and Jose learns to love it, if for no other reason than loosing track of time, keeping busy, and the rush
Panchito 100% does not believe that Jose knows THE Donald Duck.
Panchito is later 100% amazed that Jose knows THE Donald Duck
This is the Greatest day of Panchito’s life
(and the rest is history. Seriously. That whole week is one long blackout for all three of them)
That being said, the first time Donald and Jose dance the samba together (really, REALLY together. They are often dancing in the same space, spinning around each other, half formed moves to the tune for the joy of it. Once a day if Jose can get his way. But on that day the beat is quick and the drums made their blood boil) Panchito knew he was in trouble.
They spend several years traveling together. First on Donald’s dime. As money goes thin, they stay in spaces longer, living on what Panchito can work up on a few days or going out to help him with some bounty or other, hopping from stranger to stranger on the goodwill of Donald’s fame, earning money busking and gain quite the fallowing.
They never really establish a relationship, in the monogamous sense, but they do develop a commitment to each other. They all become so openly affectionate there is no question about it in any of them. They come to love each other openly and without reservation, but they will often fight over women as well. As time goes by it goes from a real source of feuding for them to a joke and a sense of competition.
There’s no reason for them to break up really. Donald starts to miss his family around the same time Panchito starts to feel the need for home and some roots for just a while. Jose has saved some money and is dreadfully homestick
That’s what he tells them at least. His good friends have triggered a very embarrassing urge for... domesticity (yes, I do mean he becomes hormonal. All the sunlight and good food will do that) He needs time time to himself.
This is about the time Donald gets the boys. They had never intended it to be permanent, but they had some good years, and they stay in touch.
Donald’s self esteem issues are harder to fight through the mail, but they sure do try.
(non timeline related headcanons)
Jose prefers expensive booze, cheap cigars, and free women, in any order
Of the three, Panchito holds his liquor best, and Donald the worst.
Panchito and Jose just... they love how much Donald loves their mother countries so much.
I’d put something here about how much Panchito and Jose respect Donald and think him just a wonderful person to look up to but that’s comic canon.
The first time Donald and Panchito see Jose in casual jeans and t-shirt they nearly have a heart attack
The “turning his umbrella into various musical instruments” thing is a parlor trick. He’s a parrot with a LOT of instruments in his vocal repertoire. He’s surprised no one has caught on by now.
When it comes to marriage, Donald is canonically terrified of domestic monogamy and find the idea emasculating. Jose is even less inclined, but less out of fear and more that he would prefer less to chain him down. He would be willing to marry a pretty girl for her money, but probably couldn’t be convinced to stay around. Panchito is most attracted to the idea of a stable home and a big family, but latter comes to understand he doesn’t necessarily need a wife and children with so many lovers and nephews.
Panchito and Jose are the COOLEST uncles.
Panchito loves children, is bombatious and rowdy, and has guns, The triplets love him.
Jose has no idea what to do with them. He defaults to his charismatic facade and comes off as cool but also he’s never allowed to watch them alone (”They are nearly grown boys Donal’ they must learn to smoke sometime!)
Daisy: “Oh Donald doesn’t dance, he’s to clumsy for that and frankly it’s like pulling teeth” Jose, ten feet away, dancing a quite passionate samba with Donald and trying to convince him to run away with him
Yes they do know other dances, but the samba, aaaah the samba, how Jose loves the Samba
Panchito will sing love songs for them to dance to as an inside joke
Everyone has all three speaking spanish as their go to middle language but from day one Jose has insisted on speaking predominately Portuguese and then translating for himself over the years in close quarters they all pick up so much listening to them in conversations must be a nightmare.
Everyone in the fandom splits the cooking but Panchito is a traveling cowboy who lives of what he hunts and buys and Jose’s house doesn’t even seem to have a kitchen and he parties every night and Donald is the canonical amazing cook. The triplets grow up on some interesting recipes.
Panchito is openly affectionate in a platonic sense, always hugging and touching the other two, but preferred a certain degree of affection to be between only lovers unless prompted otherwise. Jose will make out in the middle of a town square if you get him worked up enough and will let him. Donald will never initiate anything but he’s just... so happy when it happens.
In the sense of TTC movie, the second and third gift in reality are plane tickets. Its the first time they’re all together in years.
Aaaaaan it’s late so that’s all I got for now. Feel free to ask any more specifics, I got a million of them!

In these strips from August 27, 1962 through April 12, 1964 Tracy mixes it up with the criminal 52 Gang—each named for a card in the poker deck—who have found a novel way to dispose of the corpses of their enemies, Junior is smitten by a girl who literally wants him dead, Sparkle

An episode critique of Louie's eleven
This is my second time criticizing the Ducktales episode, but in a little more detail. The first episode of the Ducktales reboot I criticized was a Quack Pack episode I didn't like, and you can find out more here: https://ducklooney.tumblr.com/post/614773075886686208/my-opinion-on-the-quack-pack-episode-in-ducktales
For some reason I didn't get to comment on the other episodes, but the episodes after the Quack Pack were quite disappointing to me, even though Chip and Dale and their crew showed up (unfortunately they didn't say anything). However, today's episode was completely different. Please direct this to those who better understand the criticism and better understand the series. I recommend to younger children and vulnerable groups not to read this, which I will say next.
Before I start, which are the positives and the negatives, I have to emphasize that I really liked the episode and did not believe that the Ducktales reboot would thrill me again. After the episode Three Caballeros, Delina's Adventure and Return, Fenton's encounter with Gandra and the origins of Negaduck that I liked, the rest to this day were a total disappointment to me and I didn't like it except for some moments and characters (like Goofy and Gene the Genie which were great for me as well as the conflict between Scrooge and Glomgold with Lunaris). This episode partly gave me back the spirit of confidence that bugs can be fixed and that it can be done better, as it should. Here are my impressions and I will try to be as subjective as I can:
Positive
+ Occurrences of Daisy Duck. Although we expected, apart from looks, they also gave her the qualities that suited her. For a long time in animation, I didn't think Daisy Duck would be fantastic, especially after House of Mouse, where Daisy Duck was brilliant.
+ Caballeros are back and are with Donald again. Although it could have been without a bathroom joke, I have to say that I liked the annoyance of Scrooge, and he threw them out. Good thing they helped Donald when needed.
+ Helping by Donald's nephews (as much as they could, given that the series focuses most on them and on Webby which bothers me a bit). Given the title of the episode, it would be Lou's moment, but Dewey got involved. Huey is a bit involved. Good thing Huey became an apprentice, I mean, at least he's dressed like that (signing an ink contract).
+ The appearance of Beaks' mom. She really looks great her age. She's a bit of a wimp, but well, such are fashion designers and rich people who think for themselves. Her voice is good (the same voice that played Mirage in the Aladdin series and Sylvia Marpole, Goofy's girlfriend in Extreme Goofy Movie- Bebe Neuwirth).
Tumblr media
+ Falcon Graves attacks again with its mercenaries. And then there's Mark Beaks. Again, he shows that he is okay. The best scene when Falcon finds out that Emma Glamour  is Mark's mom.
+ A parody or at least a reference to Ocean's Eleven.
+ Louie's plan was good, but Dewey got involved (this reminds me of the quarrel between Huey and Dewey in the Quack Pack series when Dewey comes up with his plan, and Huey meddles in thinking his plan is better, I'm not sure which episode was. but I remember that), to come up with how his plan is better and that he is a great character. A bit boring I have to admit. For me, Dewey's best moment was when he came up with his own yoyo game and stunned Emma Glamour. Louie proved to be good in this episode.
+ I have to admit, but Emma is right in telling Louie that he doesn't have to deal with many things that he is unable to do (especially around the world of business) because he is still too small for it and has rejected it. I know that he is rude and I am partly sorry for him, but to accept such a decision better, he simply has to wait a few years. It is fascinating how a stranger gets so much worse at him than his mom and his Uncle Scrooge, but it's also somehow better to find out the bitter truth. I don't know, but maybe it's better that Louie doesn't go into the business world and start doing other things. Just better for him. Otherwise, I prefer Louie to be an athlete than a rich man, but that's how the creators of the Ducktales reboot have determined.
+ Donald's introduction to Daisy in the elevator was great. Although a little disagreeable, it was clear at the beginning that they had fallen in love, although Donald first fell in love with her, and only she. The song that Donald sang from the heart was amazing. Glad Daisy Duck understands Donald, though it should come as no surprise, given that Tony Anselmo and Tress MacNeille have been playing the same characters for over 20 years.
+ Victory in the end by Donald and Daisy. I'm glad Daisy got mad at Falcon and smashed him, I mean hit him, because that's just the nature of her. I don't know why many get angry when Daisy got angry with some of the things she didn't like before. I understand that Daisy is angry with Donald, mostly for no reason, but I have to mention that Donald is sometimes not as loyal to her as he seems. Sometimes Donald rejects Daisy (and that was in animation and comics). I agree that Daisy Duck should be kinder to Donald, but please don't, for some trifle, hate Daisy Duck just because she misbehaves on Donald. However, there is a need to understand some things. Hopefully after this Daisy Duck will be more kind to Donald and that Donald deserves Daisy as well as Daisy Donald. Quite simply, they have similar qualities and a really angry temperament. In addition, they are the best parents (Daisy is the aunt for April, May and June, and Donald the uncle for Huej, Dewey and Louie). And I hope their relationship doesn't break because of some nonsense. You should insert Daisy Duck more often after that.
+ After many episodes, I finally like something. Yes there were mistakes, but it's better than I expected. The first episode of the third season of the Ducktales reboot did not disappoint me. Much better than the Quack Pack episode, which wasn't funny to me, except for some parts. A little repair is not to waste. Hopefully there will be better episodes.
+ Finally Donald got all the justice he deserved. No more the awful treatment he had before and no longer depressing. I really don't like that kind of relationship, especially about changing my voice. Although he sang quite differently, Donald is still Donald and I am glad Daisy loves him even though he sings terribly.
+ The animation on Donald's singing (Dear my voice) was good, though I don't like the style used in the reboot. If it made me a little nicer it would be great.
+ Daisy Duck had a really beautiful dress.

Negative:
- I think in the end Donald didn't need help from Donald's nephews, he managed to do everything himself, with a heart. Somehow it seemed to me that Dewey and Louie and Webby were partly redundant, so it could be without them.
- The unnecessary interference by Dewey and too many strokes by Webby irritates me a little. I don't think they are bad, they were good, but too much focus on them is absolutely not right. It needed to be reduced a bit.
- The caballeros didn't seem as smart to me as it turns out. Okay, they're cool and their voices are great, but I miss the funny dynamics they used to have. The Legend of the Three Caballeros series shows it best. There, Panchito and Jose turned out much better and were more funny and interesting than usual. It needs to get a little better in the episode so far, but I'm well pleased that they showed up again.
- Although Daisy and caballeros understand Donald well, it's unfortunate that his family doesn't understand him. Although not shown in the current episode, it has been treated poorly in previous ones. Donald's consolation cannot only be Daisy's, it must also come from those with whom Donald lives most. It's good that the attitude and respect for Donald's nephews towards Donald has improved a bit in the current episode, but again it needs to be seen how it will be afterwards.
Conclusion:
This episode was fantastic and became one of my favorite Ducktales reboot episodes (along with the pilot episode and the episode where Magica de Spell appeared) and I didn't think the series would improve. But again, it should be seen further, if the next episodes disappoint me again, I will be very sad. So of course, it can be done better and I'm glad Donald finally got the justice he deserves, since he barely got it in the series. In other series the focus on it as well as the treatment itself are better than the Ducktales reboot. I apologize for my comments and my opinion, but here I am to share my impressions. Just use arguments, no offense, if you want to comment or refute my criticism.
