Thinking about Gyro's character again is f*cking me up (TW for mention of abuse)
If he's younger than the Duck twins (canonically 36) then he's at least 34/35 in present time. If the Boyd incident happened 20 years ago...
Then he was at the VERY least 14/15, which checks out because you can begin interning as young as 14. Even if he was the same age as the twins (36) he still would've only been 16 at the time he worked with Akita
Akita f*cked up Gyro's life and left him traumatized for YEARS and is still recovering even after the events of Astro Boyd. All because he wanted a weapon for a reason never revealed
I can't imagine how traumatizing that had to of been. It's heavily implied that Akita is at the very least verbally abusive (though I believe there was also other forms involved) and it's confirmed that Boyd was the first invention that went evil on him
He had no way of knowing Akita tampered with his work. For his whole life he was racked with guilt over it
"I've spent my whole life trying to live that down"
I cant even IMAGINE how traumatizing witnessing something like that is let alone feeling as if you're the sole purpose of that happening
Maybe it hits so close to home for me because of me being 17 and not even knowing how to deal with school and work. I don't even want to think about how it must have been like to work with Akita at my age
This is why I hate how we don't really have a backstory for him because the timeline of events doesn't make sense to me. Frank mentioned that he spent time traveling but why is a teen (at the very most) traveling alot and why is he interning in Japan at such a young age? How did he then travel back to the US and what was going on in 10 year span of not working for Scrooge?

I had mentioned in one of my previous posts that if I was able to change a couple of things in Ducktales17 Season 3 that I would have included more scenes between Gyro and Boyd that showcased their father and son relationship as well as having them be in more episodes throughout the season. Moments that I would’ve had happened involve Gyro officially taking in Boyd as his son by having him live with him, Gyro being loving and protecting towards Boyd, Gyro learning how to be a good parent, lots of hugging and I love you’s between them, and Boyd actually calling Gyro, Dad. Types of episodes I would’ve had them be a part of in Season 3 would include a Woodchuck camping episode where Boyd and Huey spend the weekend in the woods to earn some sort of badge with Gyro and Della coming along to make sure their respective kid is safe, that would serve as a way to show Huey and Boyd’s friendship, Gyro and Boyd’s father and son relationship, and finally having Della and Gyro interact with each other since it seemed like the show built up such an interesting rivalry and possible friendship between the two but nothing ever really came of that either. Another type of episode they could’ve been in would be a kind of sleepover episode that happens right after the Impossibin episode where all the kids (Huey, Dewey, Louie, Webby, Lena, Violet, Boyd, and Gosalyn) would have the biggest sleepover party ever meanwhile all the adults (Scrooge, Donald, Della, Beakley, Launchpad, Drake, Fenton, and Gyro) would strategize about the whole Fowl situation and what they should do next (in my version Fowl never took the Missing Mysteries but instead have been taking the people involved with the McDuck family and have recently recruited Magica as well as broke Akita out of jail which makes Gyro worry for the safety and well being of Boyd which is what some of the sleepover episode would focus on), this type of episode would give Boyd a chance to interact with some of the other kids besides Huey since that sadly never happened in Season 3. Have some more episodes kind of like that which would then lead up to the finale where I would have Gyro tell Boyd that he loves him, have them hug, maybe have it that Akita captures Boyd at some point and tries to hurt him then that’s when Gyro would have his inner paternal strength kick in and have an extremely epic fight against Akita (I would have it that before the finale Beakley and Della helped train Gyro in order to defend himself and Boyd from any danger Fowl might throw their way as well as have Black Heron train Akita so that way the fight could be way more interesting/exciting/epic) where he beats him and saves his precious son Boyd, have a couple more cute father and son moments sprinkled in the finale, and then there you have it all the moments and episodes that involve Gyro and Boyd that I would’ve included in Season 3 if I was in charge of the show.

Ducktales Rankings
So I realized that most of the things that I post or reblogged on here are about Rise of the TMNT and while I love that show to bits, I realized that I haven't talked nearly enough about my first love/obsession and that is Ducktales 2017.
Sadly as the show has been over for over a year now, I'm not into it as I used to be. Yet, I still read some fanfics and still love the characters, especially my boys: Huey, Dewey, and Louie.
I have decided to do a rankings list of the show. That being said, I haven't seen an episode in a while but my rankings are pretty much firmly in place. Also I won't rank every episode as that is too long so I am only doing the top 5 worst and top 5 best from every season and then taking those lists and doing a top 10 list of the whole show.
With that being said, let's Dew this!!!
Season 1 (Worst)
5. Terror of the Terra-Firmians

The Golden Spear (the worst episode of Season 2)
Season 2 (Best)
5. Raiders of the Doomsday Vault
4. Whatever Happened to Della Duck?
3. A Nightmare on Killmotor Hill

Top 10

Again these are my personal rankings. I would love to hear any of you guys personal rankings in the comments. Also if any of you want me to go in depth on these rankings or want me to rank any of the characters from the show then let me know
I am also planning on doing rankings of my other favorite shows, like ROTTMNT, Amphibia, The Owl House, and Gravity Falls so stay tuned for those.

Having finished all of Ducktales, yeah, I can safely say that Huey's season wasn't as well constructed, I've heard people defend this saying that all of the triplets got the same about of episodes 8, but honestly, the only way I can tell that some of Huey's episodes are his episodes is the fact that all the season are supposed to have 8 episodes of the main character.
Most of Dewey's episodes were around finding out about Della, but he had episodes about just developing as a person (Sky Pirates and Missing Links). Louie also had some episodes about just him (Happy Birthday Doofus Drake and Treasure of the Found Lamp). Huey technically had some episodes about just him, Challenge of the Woodchucks, which might not count considering it's the starting point of the plot, and The Trickening, but honestly, those were pretty much the only episodes fully about Huey, most of them just have some character development in passing.
Challenge of the Woodchucks was a good episode, both entertaining wise and for Huey, Quack Pack was a Donald episode that had Huey in it a lot, so I'm counting it, but it's not very good in terms of Huey development. Astro BOYD was great and about Huey, but mostly BOYD and Gyro. The Trickening was fine for Huey's character but the episode itself didn't really leave an impact on me. The Split Sword of Swanstantine was about everyone, you might as well call Day of the Only Child a Dewey episode, but it was good for Huey's development. The Fight for Castle Mcduck, again, was really a Webby episode that only kind of counts to fill the 8 required episodes of Huey, Beaks in the Shell, which was good, but was a Fendra episode with Huey in it, and The Last Adventure, which, I don't hate, although it's not perfect, had about 5 minutes of Huey development.
Most of the "Huey episodes" are really everyone episodes that have Huey in them, with Dewey and Louie, some of their episodes had sub plots but you can tell their main episodes without a shadow of a doubt. Huey's you have to scrape by to find, including Beaks in the Shell as a Huey episode is like including The BUDDY system as a Dewey episode.
Another problem is that the Huey episodes are put in place differently. Dewey's season had Last Crash at the end of the season, Sky Pirates a few episodes before, and he played a big part in the finale. Louie didn't have as big a part in the finale, but all the final three episodes before the finale were about Louie, but because season 3 was the last Ducktales season, so the final episodes were more about defeating the main villains, also it's kind of insulting that Dewey and Louie's final episodes were about them learning what they should be in life and defeating their nemeses, but Huey's was a "technicallity" episode about Fenton.
The Last Adventure highlights the problem with Huey's lack of season actually. There was too much going on, To start with the season as a whole, they needed a Huey season, but they also need to introduce Gosalyn and Daisy and gives some more Webby for the twist and give all the kids some kind of closure and future career and have an episode on how Della and Donald ended up with Scrooge and set up a lot of stuff for the big reveal and explain the Santa fiasco and how and why did Scrooge hire Bradford and it's just too much for one season.
The Last Adventure was the same way, they had Donald and Della fighting about his moving out and May and June not getting along with Webby's friends and Manny being a Gargoyle or whatever and Huey learning that not every authoritative figure is trustworthy and Webby being mad at her grandma for lying about her parentage and most of it isn't resolved. I don't hate the twist in it of itself, but it took up too much time so nothing else could resolve. Della I think accepts Donald moving away after she says "a cruse sounds really relaxing right now" or something along those lines, but that doesn't really sound finished, she never went to Donald and said, "go sail around the world" or anything, it just feels half finished. Webby's friends and sisters not getting along is resolved with a glimpse of Lena and Violet tying friendship bracelets on May and June. Webby is shown to forgive her granny and realize that her granny is her family to, as Beakley raised her, and it's fine, they were going for a more subtle route, but it's done a bit too quickly. May and June joining Webby's side and realizing that Fowl never treated them like a family should even if they did create them is pretty good actually.
But Huey got, like, five minutes of character in this episode, it was all about Webby. Huey shows up to Bradford's office, finds out Bradford was a Junior Woodchuck to, Bradford tries to convince Huey to help his, Huey finds out he's evil. This takes like five minutes, and it's supposed to be Huey's big character development moment.
Bradford also kind of sucks. Bradford is basically supposed to be Huey antithesis, like Dewey and Don Karnage or Louie and Doofus Drake, but it's only shown a little bit in the finale, Bradford was a Woodchuck like Huey, except he was a terrible one who didn't like it, and he said he just wanted to organize and keep everything nice and peaceful, although he lied and wanted to destroy it. Like Don Karnage was evil Dewey, he was a theater kid who loved attention and acting, but he didn't care about anyone else and wouldn't let them take a turn in the spotlight. Doofus was greedy like Louie, but creepy and completely spoilt. Bradford, in my opinion, isn't evil Huey, he just hates chaos.

thinking about how, when webby calls scrooge her dad, scrooge doesnt even know that shes a clone of him yet but he accepts the idea of him being her father without question because he LOVES webby. he adores that girl to death and, even if they werent biologically related, he would want to be her father. THEY MAKE ME SO EMOTIONAL AUGH.
