Just curious what the average level of personal investment in these sorts of things is. Like, how much do people usually get into silly stuff like this their friends ask of them? etc. etc. Which I know, only surveying a small sample on a very specific website means I'm not getting an exact average idea lol, but.. curious nonetheless .. GENERALLY. in the most general average scenario #where you have the average amount of health and free time that you always do. etc. just based on your personality #and level of investment in these things - what on AVERAGE are you most inclined to do #also of course assume they communicate with you ahead of time and are not like planning a part last minute #like 'throw together costume in 5 hours and show up tonight randomly' or etc. I would hope that if we're going with the #AVERAGE of things - most people's friends have better communication skills than springing entire parties #on people last minute lol #assume you have like.. a few days-a week or so to prepare. however ealrly people usually start talking about #birthdays. In my experience it's usually one or two weeks ahead of time. Weren’t VCARB supposedly getting some Red Bull strategists? Like damn. What happened. Like the tire choices were obviously planned pre-race with Daniel starting on used softs to have new softs at the end and Yuki using his new softs at the start, but the pit stop timing allowing both to be undercut both times was what caused the entire team orders issue at the end. Daniel was holding out for softs so staying out longer made sense. VCARB pitting Yuki late, allowing him to be undercut by Magnussen and Zhou is the lynchpin IMO. If Yuki had pit earlier, he’d have been in front of them on track and sure maybe Daniel would have caught up to him eventually but probably not til the end. Who knows maybe Yuki could have caught Stroll too. Either way it could have been an 11th and 12th and everyone happy. Instead we get this cluster. Everyone in insta comments thinking it’s a pro-Daniel conspiracy…no it’s just strat team stupidity as usual 😭

yeah i mean. strategy in general is so confounding to me, i truly cannot say for certain one way or another they would have been better off had they pitted earlier or later or whatever. there's always so many factors and like who knows, maybe if they'd pitted earlier to protect themselves from the undercut they would have been fucked with an overcut from somebody else or the tires would have fallen off and they wouldn't have been able to defend or whatever, who knows. BUUUUT that being said, i completely agree the strategy team has been fucking stupid, continues to be fucking stupid, and the fact that anyone is a) surprised by that and b) blaming daniel for it is absolutely fucking insane.
