third-most comments: so this is embarrassing. third spot is A Series of Fic Previews and Teasers, which is exactly what it sounds like. Previews for the Criminal Minds wips i was working on that I promised myself I wouldn't abandon... and I finished exactly one of them: the one above (and it was supposed to have sequels lol). 😔 Lost interest in the fandom. Oh well.

I will preface by saying that hate is a strong word for what I feel abt these characters and would prefer to describe it as "apathy" no I'm not saying this as a desperate measure to prevent myself from being stoned to death why would you say that
........ momo, tsuyu and kirishima...
You have to understand that I joined the fandom in 2017 and people were so fucking annoying abt these three. It was impossible to go into the tags back then and not run into posts like "You're a bad person if you dislike Tsuyu/Momo" or "It's possible to dislike Kirishima/Tsuyu" blablabla. And I'm the kind of person that if you try to shove something down my throat I will spit it back in your face just to prove a point.
I understand fans wanting to hype up their favs but I found Tsuyu and (especially) Momo to be extremely underwhelming so that behavior just turned me off. & Kirishima is bc the kiribaku fandom were a fucking menace back in the day.
Despite my feelings for them, they're all good characters that deserved better opportunities to shine (rip all the ex-naruto/class 1A fans that wanted to see the konoha 13 done right)

I never understood the trend in dabihawks fics to write Hawks as the functional sane perfect emotional support bf. He is an emotionally constipated indoctrinated murder chicken with serious mommy & daddy issues, how tf does that translate to perfect bf?
*widely gesticulates at Miruko's entire character* Miruko is the perfect example of widespread fanon characterization being absolute garbage. I get the knee jerk reaction of wanting to save her from Horikoshi's questionable writing, but in the process the fandom sand down all her rough ("problematic") edges & just leave her an empty soulless sock-puppet wearing Miruko's skin. Canon Miruko doesn't have much going for her but somehow Fanon Miruko manages to be even more shallow. #sorrynotsorry
I'm gonna get flack for this but I don't like the way fandom tends to portray found family. It feels inauthentic to me, especially when dealing with dysfunctional self-destructive and emotionally constipated individuals like the LOV. Found Fam LOV used to be my jam but I've grown tired of it 😔
And speaking of the LOV.... I love Spinaraki but I don't like the way most of the fandom interprets and depicts their relationship. Spinner's fanatic devotion to Shigaraki isn't healthy. Idk if I've talked abt it on this blog before but I see a lot of parallels between Killugon (hxh) and Spinaraki.
(Incoming spoilers for hxh chimera ant arc) In both cases you have person A (Gon/Shigaraki) going down a self destructive path, fueled by self loathing and person B (Killua/Spinner) that is extremely devoted to person A but bc of their lack of self worth is unequipped to truly help them and in the process unintentionally enables them.
I'm all for witnessing unhealthy devotion in fiction, I eat that shit up. But it does make me uncomfortable when I see people interpreting it in a purely positive light.

anyone else feel a little iffy about the whole “we have a duty thing” he was saying to Ahsoka? maybe I just wasn’t paying enough attention, but it felt a little to me like he meant she had to/was obligated to join the Rebellion. it doesn’t seem very in sync with Bail in general, but if someone has a different interpretation that makes more sense, please share with me.
the only other thing is I’m just confused and a little irritated about the section with the farmers and the Inquisitor. like, when in the timeline exactly did that whole encounter take place? and if they wanted to show a storyline like that, why didn’t they just animate some key moments from the Ahsoka novel? I feel like it sort of gives it more weight in a way to have Ahsoka’s big return to the good fight and the Rebellion set two years after the end of the war, and given how similar the setups are, I have to say I would have much rather had at least some scenes from the book in animation than a whole new separate thing that kind of replaces it.

Hi, I just wanted to thank you for giving my Aizawa fluff a rec AND to thank you for your funny tags. They added so many points to my Writer Heath and I appreciate you taking the time to write them out.
😭😭 this is sweet. No problem tho!! Ngl i had a lot more to say but my mind couldnt type it properly. But i laughed at every line of those two fics esp since i feel like this would actually happen. Just the chaos that naturally weaves its way into a serious topic is something that happened happens constantly in mha (ah the good old days 😔).

Absolutely beautoful. As much as i love different genres and topics, fluff+crack is always a classic that i return to. And you weote it so perfectly, esp since that was the beginning mood of mha. Frankly incredible character arc, the way they're practically a completely different character by the end vs how legitimately terrifying they are in the beginning. Literally, seeing them do the nen leaf test and seeing the leaf just shrivel and poof into dust shook me the first time I saw it, but their development of empathy and all that? Astounding. Also they're nonbinary and the dub did in fact use they/them for pitou and that warms my heart 🙌

I saw that post on Twitter that had a drawing of Shimazaki going “please stop shipping me with fucking kids” and I think that I might’ve accidentally shared some implied ship art of him and Teru before since the art wasn’t tagged at all and they were just chilling in the pic but the artist was Japanese (I notice that a lot of either popular or foreign artists DON’T tag their stuff so :(...) and their whole blog consisted of Shimazaki and Teru together and it gave me meh vibes but I just wanted to believe that it wasn’t ship art but.... yeah, I somehow keep seeing Shimazaki/ Teru stuff... like I don’t really like going into the mp100 tag because of stuff like this tbh. The HXH tag used to be full of stuff like that too since a lot of ppl shipped Gon with Hisoka............ like........ I don’t go into the HXH tag either lol. It was always full of pedophilla and nsfw art of Gon and Killua even though they’re like 12 and shit. I’m sure that it’s still like that too so yeah. There’s no way to avoid stuff like this if the person doesn’t tag their work to begin with so a lot of the time, you just end up seeing stuff like this and you go 😯😕😔..... And PIXIV is a wasteland of no fucks given so yeah.... I still wish that it was possible to block certain tags on PIXIV but in order to do so, you’d have to buy a premium account but that doesn’t make any sense... being able to block tags should be a GIVEN when it comes to creating any website. I mean, you’d think so, right??? Why do people have to pay just to be able to block loli/ shota shit 😐...?
