We have reached the point where every company has made the switch to “make more money than last year or perish”, and there are only so many good ideas that can actually increase revenue. From here on out we’re going to see a lot more products getting worse as companies continue jettisoning labor rights, consumer safety, and environmental sustainability to to save a buck. Their clients are no longer the consumers, but the investors.

Researching for a S2 starting Ted Lasso fic has made me realise two things about the teams they'd be playing:

Richmond would have played against Cardiff, so Colin would've not only had to contend with facing off his old-relegated team with his new one, but given what we know about his grandma may not even have had the full support of his family in doing so (Colin&Jamie bonding when I ask you).

Richmond would have played Derby; Isaac would have shaken hands with Wayne goddamn Rooney one match as captains, as equals. Yes, it's at the end of Rooney's career and he's playing for Derby of all teams, but given Rooney's prominance in English football whilst Isaac was growing up that would have been A Moment for him.

Okay so I am going to be bitching about the Netflix adaptation of School for Good and Evil apparently because I already have things to say. Spoilers for the series I suppose but

It would be 100% fine that Agatha is played by a black actress except uhhhh. I mean Agatha is described constantly throughout the first book as not being attractive in comparison to Sophie right? And while that was heavily implied to be much part of Sophie’s narcissistic attitude, still it makes me a bit uncomfortable. I dearly hope that that’s addressed in some regard and isn’t just blatant racism. But also. Sophie and Agatha are sisters right? And they’re not half siblings either. My HOPE is that this means they are walking back the BLATANT COP OUT that was the reveal they were sisters so that the Sophie/Agatha shippers can finally, finally be fucking VINDICATED. But lets be real that might be asking for too much.
