y'all are doing this over an author who wrote a character whose dick is too big for his underwear. Like, she wrote that. On purpose. She wrote random accidental beheading, she mixes up character names, she confuses dates, she wrote a fae king who has packs of red thongs at his house for ??? reasons. Just because the story progressed, and in the process messed up your preferred ship possibly being canon, does not mean your ship was robbed. It just means the writer(s) progressed the story the way they wanted. It also doesn't mean the writers, "Didn't know what they were doing!" They knew exactly what they were doing. They were making a story the way they wanted.

This also applies to your ship not getting enough screen/page time. If they're not the central focus of the story/show then it doesn't make sense, with limited time and resources, to focus on side plots. Remember, fic exists for this very reason.

I'm putting 'lesser evil' on the shelf, not because people are using it wrong, but because bad faith interpreters are using it to justify apathy because their brains shut off when they see the word 'evil.'

It's 'imperfect good' from now on, and I don't care if you don't like it. I don't care if you don't think it's appropriate or you don't think someone is trying hard enough to earn it.
