Anyways onto the questions!

Question 1: What is the most embarrassing thing that everyone has done?

Alex: When she first became Elysian and was still figuring out how to juggle both her life as a hero and as a teenager she ran into a lot of embarrassing moments.

The most embarrassing ,however, was when she was 16. She was in class and got an alert that a bank was being robbed nearby and in order to get out of the class to go stop it she very loudly announced that she was on her period and needed to go to the restroom.

Jasper: Okay so the year is 2020. The team had just finished up another mission and were waiting for the police to arrive to the scene.

Do you know what 15 year old Jasper does in order to pass the time? Challenges “MC” to a race. The race starts and as he’s running Jasper trips and falls directly on his face and loses.

The kid with super-speed lost to the 13/14 year old without any superpowers. Nobody will ever let him forget. Ever.

Zoe: While chasing a criminal during a mission she ended up flying face first into a billboard after getting distracted by Jasper tripping.

That wasn’t the embarrassing part though. The embarrassment comes from the fact that is was caught on camera by the news. People reposted it online, made edits and memes. The video was everywhere for months.

Rowan: Aequitas had just wrapped up another mission (they had a lot of them…being superheroes and all) and Rowan and MC had delivered the blow that had knocked the villain out.

In his excitement, Rowan proceeded to fist pump the air and then pull MC into a hug. This was (once again) all caught on video by the news (downsides to be a teen hero ig).

Okay so it’s not actually that embarrassing to anyone but Rowan but he found it humiliating. Will actually walk out of the room if anyone talks about it.

Sidekick Squad

Vesper: Doesn’t feel shame or embarrassment Was once stalking following a lead on a mission and ended up getting caught. Anyways it turns into a fight and the team have to end up making an escape through a window.

Except Vesper couldn’t escape because they were too short to reach the edge of the window and climb out. Leon had to go back for them. They tried to play it off as a joke but literally wasn’t able to look anyone in the eyes for a week.

Leon: The only one who’s story doesn’t have anything to do with heroics. When he was very young he got lost in the supermarket. Instead of going to ask someone for help, he decides to look for his mother himself.

He ended up spotting the dress his mother was wearing walking down the parking lot and raced to her.

Except it wasn’t her.

His family still laughs about it.

Juniper: Was fighting a villain (bc once again teen superheroes) and decided to freeze him in place. (Wrongly) assuming that the fight was now over, Juni went to answer some questions from reporters.

While she wasn’t looking not only did the villain manage to unfreeze himself but he also managed to knock her out. Once again on live television. It was almost as bad Zoe’s billboard incident.

Nora: While doing cleanup after a mission, Nora was given the job to handle the civilians and reporters. After about 5 different interviews and 100 different autographs, she turns to leave but gets stopped.

She turns around and opens with “For the love of god please don’t ask me for another interview or autograph” just to see that it was the police commissioner. He had just come to ask for her statement about the villain. Nora was mortified.

Sebastian: Was doing his usual rounds of patrol (literally nobody asked him to them, he does them for fun) when he literally trips off of the roof he was standing on and lands face first into a dumpster down below.

Sebastian obviously walked it off and pretended nothing happened but Vesper managed to catch it on video (nobody has managed to figure out how or why they were there in the first place).

FANDOM BLOG MEME (KNY)

The first character I first fell in love with: when the movie for kny was gonna start, i had a week to binge watch everything since i was very new to the anime, lol, and the moment giyuu showed up during the first episode it was love at first sight hehe… i fell in love with him more when he spared nezuko 💜

The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: sanemi? i thought he was just a complete ass and one of those explosive types like bakugou (i am not too far on bnha, but i never really understood why everyone loves him so much lol i heard he gets better in later seasons). anyways, sanemi’s backstory touched me and he’s a good guy and such a tragic character~

The character everyone else loves that I don’t: probably shinobu? i don’t hate her at all, her design is beautiful/ has a lovely aesthetic but she does annoy me a bit. maybe it’s just the overdone memes of her bullying giyuu, like, canon-wise, she has good intentions and only wants him to open up/ talk but i am just not crazy about her. and her encounter with a certain demon was rather unfortunate and i didn’t really appreciate where her character went down if i must be honest

The character I love that everyone else hates: i haven’t been deep into the fandom long enough to know which characters are the most unfavourable since i mainly stay in my lane, and focus on giyuu, but i can imagine people disliking both akaza and douma a lot. akaza’s arc was so interesting and i won’t say much about douma atm but he served his purpose and i just adore him. his design is pretty too~ i also like muzan, even tanjiro hates him which makes him a great villain lol

The character I used to love but don’t any longer: i still love zenitsu, he can be annoying with his constant screeching and antics but i am just not as crazy about him as i was a few months ago lol

The character I’d want to be like: personality-wise, tanjiro. i normally don’t go for the main characters at all but he is such a sweet person towards everyone. how can anyone dislike tanjiro?

The character I’d slap: sanemi~

A pairing that I love: most giyuu ships are good and fun but my otp is giyuu and salmon daikon! whatever truly makes that boy happy… 💜

the ship that makes the most sense to me is sabigiyuu~ sabito had a HUGE impact on giyuu and he was such a great friend to him. sabito made him realize that his future is important, that his life is precious and worth protecting. sabito would have been proud to acknowledge giyuu as the water hashira~

A pairing that I despise: giyuu x tanjiro! i know it’s a fan favourite in Japan especially b-but… for me… THEY ARE BROTHERS!!!! they are family in my eyes. giyuu was the older brother that looked after him since day one: inviting him to join the demon slayers, vouching for nezuko, pushing him to get stronger, entrusting him to take his place as the water hashira, seeing himself in him and crying for him after the thought of losing him… tanjiro is the little brother that giyuu needs in his life, plus there is that age gap and i just don’t support it…

i live in peru in the coast so its very humid but rn its summer so its super hot, i live in front of the ocean but not technically that near to it. you can go to the beach by car and its a 30-40 min drive (of course not right now bc of the pandemic all the beaches are closed 😭) but i usually go to visit my grandma’s beach house in summer or i just stay here and go for walks. right now im teaching english online to some kids but i cant do it in person bc the covid cases are still high... but yeah i love summer and the heat isnt unbearable rn thank god 😥

~Edward IV~

Ok, one more grounded in reality and some more Headcanonish:

So, in Lord Edward Lytton-Bulwer’s ‘Last of the Barons’ I uncovered a fascinating (and primary-sourced) fact about our Edward: He engaged in international trades of his own. Apparently, he had his own ships and vessels that would jettison wool to and fro Burgundy. The trading classes, with whom Edward was always on great terms, were initially thrilled and felt a bit of sense of connection because of this. However, it became a bit of a bother when his self-given exemption from custom and duties gave him an unfair competitive advantage. Since reading that, I’ve always seen Edward as someone whose hobbies revolve around these types of matters rather than military ones. I really headcanon trading as a genuine hobby of his. With that, I would also connect other practical as opposed to artistic or conventional pastimes. I always saw Elizabeth Woodville as the big account manager (based on how she ran her crown property), so I headcanon Edward as liking to meddle in the external more merchantile matters, which translates to enjoying himself by making wagers/bets with those around him and always winning whether it be on personal matters or businesses (sometimes even in appropriately on women of the court). Not to mention a talent at games like cards and dice. If he lived today he would be the grand master of monopoly 😂. He wasn’t the most intellectual of men (he was at one point planning on defunding Eton College to get funds), but I always headcanoned he was pretty strong at maths (which was part of a nobleman’s education, but at that time it was mastery of the arts that granted you the reputation of a smartman). Of course, this fits in with his historical interest in alchemy, which I headcanon he was also partly interested in because of the potential of it yielding gold, but upon his marriage, the mystical side beckoned him too.

~ George Duke of Clarence~

I’ve done one for him here, which you can check out. But hell, do I have a lot of headcanons about him so I’ll do another here.

Our George was by all accounts a talented demagogue. His performance in the inheritance dispute indeed adds stock to what chronicles such as Rous Rolls and Crowland have said about his oratory and reasoning talents (which allegedly were rival to Edward’s own). Though some personality quirks could make him appear like a bit of a (popular Headcanon nowadays) himbo: penchant for airing out his grievances, flamboyancy and a great pride which combined with a famous sense of humour leads to instances where it verges into innappropriate levels of macabre (his own death being the prime example).

N.b: and yes I do in fact believe he was drowned in a barrel of wine and by his choosing. I don’t need Shakespeare to tell me this, I need only look at the strong evidence proposing this: a) Margaret Pole’s barrel charm, b) The fact that his head was reported as attached to his body when his body was exhumed centuries later. Drowning in a bath is another possibility, but then again, it was famously a womanly execution and I doubt a man as self-important as George would have been alright with the association, c) The fact that contemporaries such as Mancini (among others) have stated that this is the manner in which he died. Shakespeare’s play just further reflects that at that time (as in closer to 1478 then we are now) this was the consensus. Not to mention that in Richard III he wasnt technically drowned but stabbed and then thrown in a barrel. Arguments against center around ‘this seems just a bit too crazy’ but stop there.

So where was I? Oh yes. So in spite of that, I headcanon teenage George as very resentful of those who thought him bumbling, giddy and unserious (young Richard especially), because well, he was very touchy about his pride and saw himself as a prince worthy of deference and gravity (multitude of evidence for this). His charming nature never left him even as he grew bitter but instead he learned to harness it into a mask in order to induce others into error and subestimation. Indeed, much of his earlier successes hinged on the fact that Edward didn’t expect that level of planning (and betrayal) from him. Nevertheless, he never hid his talents completely, he had a very astute legal mind and I headcanon him as having a hobby for the law since he was a young boy and realised how useful this knowledge would prove in time and loved it on an intellectual level as he engaged with debates on matters from trusts laws to constitutional canonical and jurisprudential matters, first with his tutors, then his brothers, then Warwick and then his chief supporters and friends at Warwick and Tutbury when he became a magnate post-1472. Of course, I feel like this fits in with the impression of an argumentative and opinionated man as exuded from the historical figure. I also headcanon him as being delighted to have had Caxton’s Games and Playes of Chess (1474) dedicated to him (becoming one of his patron around this time historically). It remains the second book printed in English (first being Anthony’s dictes and sayings of philosophers - I think) and I headcanon him as doing the head in of all those around him with discussions and debates around the book’s message XD.

~Richard III~

Richard gets a reputation in fiction (where other people get most of their headcanons from) as being extremely serious. I personally share this Headcanon and I feel it was the most striking difference between him and his brothers’ personalities. I think he had very little ‘quirks’ as it were. Though there was this author (haven’t read the book) Jonathan Hughes who somehow manages to write an entire book about Richard’s interesting divination. He draws onto some vaguely paganistic symbols among Richard III’s choice of clothing and such, and posits that he had some interest in pre-conquest Northern religious culture. Anne Neville who by all accounts seemed to have had some interest in mysticism (read and discussed Ghostly Grace by a German mystic with her mother-in-law at length) I headcanon bonded with Richard over conversing on these types of topics. Therefore, I headcanon him as having a (very very lowkey because, as I said, he took great care in presenting himself as conventional and unsuspicious) hobby for northern paganisms, myths, prophecies and the like. I think it would explain what appears to be the historical figures ‘apparent hypocritical personality: Only banning benevolences after first trying to acquire them, having Shore pay penance when he himself had fathered bastards (John probably during his first year of marriage if Kendall’s reasoning is right) and aspiring and holding others to strict chivalric values of which he often fell short. The signs of stress found in isotopic analysis on his bones however makes me think that he was aware of these contradictions. Of course, he could have been stressed around the time of his death for other obvious reasons, but I’m not getting into that here. I suppose my headcanon of him as very utilitarian (yes I know Bentham came centuries later but, you know, he didn’t exactly invent this manner of thought) in his beliefs classifies as a quirk? Haha. As for hobbies, I think his scoliosis made him eschew some of the more physically demanding types of sports, so I see him as fairly bookish and like his brother George, extremely interested in the law as a hobby (though nowadays we wrongly see it as a rather vocational discipline). Though he shared the interest in matters of jurisprudence with George (about which they both strongly disagreed Richard taking the less fiscally conservative stance), he was more interested in criminal law matters (which checks out as he had made reforms on the criminal law and bail). I think he was genuinely concerned with justice, just a bit self-contradictory in his approach and diverse in his spirituality (the last more headcanonish)

- One Hobby/Quirk headcanon -

According to household accounts and information about his education, George knew how to play the harp and the lute. I headcanon him as continuing with those hobbies well into his adulthood. I don’t know if it’s maybe the fact that George had far less presence in the battlefield than his brothers - only Barnet and Tewksbury he actually fought in and his troops are never on the main battle charts which indicates they were not the most important, he was given the largest retinue to lead to France but as we know, there was rather more talking than bloodshed there ahasjd. Or if it’s maybe the fact that his actions and phrases denote an unusually emotional man... but I always saw him as rather sensitive and that also reflecting in his hobbies. I also headcanon him as being rather particular with his clothing (exposed to great finery since the age of 12), and so relished spending hours badgering his tailor over the smallest details regarding colours, designs, patterns etc. At some points even Isabel gets a headache ahashj.

He also had great taste for elaborate architecture (historically, there were many designs he had in mind and renovations for Tutbury and Warwick castle, to make them less fortressy and more palatial but died before they could be completed), so I think that links. As for the harp and lute, I headcanon him as having great proefficiency in them but not interested in showing that off and so just playing when in his own homes and heard by very few people there. Not because he was modest or something (quite the contrary) but because he did not like to do anything competitively because he did not like being seen as bested by others, or worse being seen to fail because well.. pride and self-importance. He never participated in jousting for example, because he knew he could not handle the shame if he were beaten by the likes of Richard Woodville or Anthony or the score of prominent jousters. Also as a typical aristocrat, he never saw the point of having to ‘prove’ his gifts, nor work at them enough to be truly talented.

▼ - childhood headcanon

I’ve had this discussion at some point with a mutual about when George left Ireland, I think the conclusion was that he may have very well stayed there quite a bit, at least maybe until Richard III was born in Fotheringhay in 1452, or even later (for his own protection or as an enduring symbol of his father’s importance there and piece between Earls Ormond and Desmond, as his baptism was all about uniting those two godfathers). I have to look deeper into this but the truth is next to nothing is known of George’s life pre-1460.

I see his sister Margaret being with him until 1452 or so (I think Ashdowne-Hill put the possibility that Margaret accompanied their mother to Ireland), and treating him as her baby as four + year olds have been known to do, creating the link. But while she returned to England (most likely), he would stay there for a one more year or so, with the occasional visits from the godfathers for goodwill. And goodness, both James Butler 5th earl Ormond & Wiltshire and Thomas FitzGerald 7th Earl Desmond had something of a similar spirit to their godson: always up for a gallantry whether that be rebellion (a contemporary saying something similar regarding gallantry about pre-1469 George - I think it was Crowland), reputed handsomeness (with some vanity):

With the facts of an absent real father this headcanon, just sort of clicks whether it has any bearing in reality (yet I recall an Irish castle where he spent his early years in being mentioned, but forgot the name). I also headcanon him as having spent a part of his infant years with James FitzGerald around, though, he may have been a couple years older (birthdate not given). As they were god brothers and both from Yorkist families, of course this is the same James that gets executed under Edward’s name in 1467 (godfather Ormond gets executed after the battle of Towton). In addition to him, many other companions that were relatives and nephews of his godfathers I suppose would have been selected as the 5/6 year olds’ companions. I headcanon George as charming them all, leading to him being remembered fondly by the Irish because though records of his going there in his adult life contradict each other, he seemed to have left an impression somehow. Of course, all this attention and preening has contributed to his deluded self-image as a very very important man. I also headcanon him as picking up quite a bit of the native tongue, but like most young children, what is quickly learned is quickly forgotten.

Anthony Earl Rivers

☼ - appearance headcanon

When it comes to my story, I’m tempted to make him the ‘golden-haired’ knight that he tends to get depicted in fiction because thematically it drives home the whole George/Anthony foil thing we spoke about and intend to hint at.

But for me, this will always be my mental image of Anthony. With a very kind yet clever looking face, like in here. I also always headcanoned him as heavily resembling his sister, perhaps, because of their strong sibling bond (this depiction capture that too with the heart-shaped face, small thin nose, round eyes and cheekbones (come to think of it also the mouth) .

Like in his contemporary depiction [Him presenting the Dictes and Saying of the Philosophers] I see him as having a warm brown eyes and light brown hair, but with a twinge of auburn (whereas Elizabeth Woodville is more full on red-gold). Because of his keeping with a hair-shirt underneath, I tend to see him as rather thin and tall (nearer to Edward and Margaret’s height than Richard or George’s).

࿊ - likes/dislikes headcanon

- Likes - (aside from what we know: philosophy, poetry, literature, religion, tournaments)

As a result of: That bit in one of his works where he (with great wit and subtlety) calls Plato out for his misogyny, him being a reader of Christine de Pizan (the only man at that time who I can recall), his strong relationship with his mother, sister and friendship with Margaret of Burgundy... I’ve headcanoned him as having a deeper appreciation and ‘like’ (more like respect) for womenhood than most of the others. And with an interest in the discourse that must have been going on post-De Pizan and Joan of Arc.

I also have this weird headcanon of him getting an insane fascination with Wales, the people, the Celtic remnants in its folklore - that is, once he establishes there with his nephew. And tried to absorb as much of it as possible. Particularly because he strikes me as one who though a great appreciator of beauty, is more attached to the natural, less ornate rather than the florid and goldeness of the london courts. As he was a well-traveled man this isn’t so far-fetched I suppose. I also headcanon him as a massive fan of Arthuriana (he did after all have all the features of chivalry) and would see himself as a Merlin to Prince Edward’s Arthur.

- Dislikes - (aside from war apparently)

I always saw him as taking a profound dislike to Edward’s debauchery later in his reign, especially, when it pertained infidelity to his sister. As somewhat of a stoic (not to say emotionless or robotic), he obviously did not say anything about it, but the disillusionment welled up in him, and he would find any excuse to not have to deal with it. By the time it came to leave for his guardianship, he was grateful for not having to see it. Of course, there remains mutual respect between him and Edward, during his pilgrimage I headcanon him as praying for Edward’s soul and for him to be guided back.

I always headcanoned him as never quite clicking with his wife. For some unknown reason e.g. perhaps she was a bit ignorant, dull or cold? We know very little about that marriage and it was quite brief nonetheless. There were no children and we never hear of them ever being in the same place, or references to mourning etc. Of course, since marriage is a sacrament and a way to connect with god, he feels a bit regretful about it, only in later life to realise, that some men are like Gawain, better suited to bachelorhood. But while respectful of women, few attain to his marianistic expectations (partly stemming from the image his sister projects). Overall, a dislike for this sort of inner-conflict.
