November: Do you have any rituals or requirements for getting in the mood for writing?

well first i wait for night to fall

that’s it that’s the whole thing the joke is that i’m physically incapable of writing in the daytime 

Yesterday: Favourite way to write angst?

by procrastinating it for approx. 1000000000 years and then screaming into the void 

Wednesday: Name a fic which you have posted which you think is underrated?

the april fools themed fic i posted with a link on tumblr that made it look like it was an update do a different, more popular fic. the ratio of hits to kudos on it is abysmal compared to literally any other fic of mine, i think because so many people opened the link, discovered it wasn’t actually the update they thought it was, and then didn’t read it lmao therefore skewing the hit count. or people just really hated it. either way! 

close behind is the epilogue to all the love, which has the second-lowest kudos of any of my posted fics (not including the one i posted like a few days ago, because i know that one will surpass it over time). this one i’m pretty sure most people avoided/never read, which like............fair. i’m the one who warned people they might not want to read it. so i guess i don’t think it’s underrated, not really........

Saturday: What gets you excited whilst writing?

whenever i hit my stride and it stops feeling like pulling teeth to write a sentence at a time, and then the floodgates will open and i’ll write several hundred (or thousand) words in one sitting without batting an eye. that feels great. sure wish i could get into that state all the time but most days it doesn’t happen (or at least not until like 10pm rip)

6. Which playlist do you frequent the most? Probably the Punk Mix that Spotify makes for me on a daily basis, because it's the only playlist where I can hear pop punk, skate punk, hardcore, street punk, and crust punk, and crossover thrash all on one playlist. Without bothering to make my own, I guess.

13. What's your longest playlist? I think it's my "Skate playlist" at about 4,000 songs. These are the songs I skateboard to. It's punk, alt-metal, 90s hip hop, thrash, hardcore, metalcore and deathcore, and trap metal. So yeah that's why it's long

17. What podcasts do you listen to/recommend? I really don't listen to podcasts cause it's like...I'm just listening to people talk but I can't respond! I would listen to more at work if I knew what I liked; as it is I listen to video essays on youtube. I did listen to a lovely interview with Moira Quirk recently on Locked Tomb Podcast though (it's a fan podcast and I have blorbo disease as per usual.) And I've listened to a number of fascinating podcasts while traveling with @toastweasel

In daily life it’s: “what in the legit fuck are you doing?” comes to mind, usually when I’m shouting at motorists.
