If you've ever read Gambling Emperor Legend Zero: Gyanki Hen, you may remember Zero setting up a website in which people could contact him, reaching out for advice or offers to gamble.
If you kept a close eye out, you may have even noticed a full link visible on the page.
Started sometime in 2011, ZeroNet was a real web page on the site of the publisher Kodansha, made to promote Zero, as well as cross promote other works from the same publisher.
It opens with a flash file of zawas which may not function properly depending on your browser, but you can just >Skip right to the main page altogether.<
Boasting an unchanging visitor count of exactly 84,232,191, the website claims to help solve ones problems ranging from financial, real estate, and even infidelity by means of gambling. Brief profiles are provided for the staff of two, being Zero (A self proclaimed "Genius Gambler" and the pride of the company) and Suezaki, ZeroNet's president, below him.
The accompanying portraits have not been archived, but at least Zero's image can be seen in parts of the manga itself, suggesting they were circular images featuring the face of the character.
On the website is a testimonial from one of the people who've benefited from his business, a man who was saved from eviction due to Zero's golf gamble from the very start of the Gyanki Hen series.
A section is dedicated to linking to other Kodansha mangas under the guise of being questions submitted by other people. The questions are as follows:
"She won't let me forget about my ex boyfriend! What do I do?"
"How do I spot corporate spies?"
"How can I see the private life of my favorite idol??"
"11 people keep trying to take my land, how do I get rid of them?"
Each question is followed up with a "click here!" and a link to a relevant manga by the same publisher.
At the bottom of the page there was a form one could fill out stating their name, age, and issue. Being that you do not have to submit any actual contact information, it's unknown what would happen upon submitting your issue. One blog user mentioned they submitted a question and would update on the reply, but an update seems to have never been posted.
Despite the absurdly large and specific visitor number featured on the website, the manga itself seems to photoshop a box over it showing only ~91 visitors. It's been speculated that the large and absurdly specific number on the site could mean something, but that's unconfirmed.
The number shown in the manga may be more a more accurate representation of visitors, as very few people ever publicly posted about seeing ZeroNet at the time it was up, with absolutely no known person sharing screenshots of the website at the time, and one even censoring part of the website as if to not dox this fictional character's business website.
It's unknown how long the website was up for, as archives only go up to 2013, however it currently leads to a 404.

I mean u can't forget how zero literally said to his friends to give their lives to him
Was gonna mention that but didn’t know where to fit it into the text post cuz I’m terrible at organizing my thoughts. I also think it really doesn’t support much of the arguments I brought up in the post?
I could do a long post abt it if I’m high enough to overcome my anxieties, I’m obsessively rereading the manga anyways
