I didn't think this would happen. Why did they have to do Yasumasa dirty? The one who is responsible for arranging this is Nobunaga's daughter (she wanted to get rid of her mother in law and came up with a plan that backfired and Nobuyasu(Ieyasu's first son) ended up dying too). :'D
But she doesn't exist, so we have to make someone else do it. Fortunately, MC lives.

Hijikata Toshizo's favorite? A bamboo flute found at the home of a descendant of his brother-in-law in Hino
Tumblr media
Sato Fukuko holding a flute believed to have been used by Hijikata Toshizo
(Close-up photo of the flute here)
A bamboo flute (ryuteki) believed to have been the favorite flute of Hijikata Toshizo, deputy chief of the Shinsengumi, who was active in the final days of the Tokugawa shogunate, has been found in a house in Hino.
Sato Fukuko (佐藤福子), 50, a descendant of Toshizo's brother-in-law Sato Hikogoro and director of the "Sato Hikogoro Shinsengumi Museum" (2 Hinohonmachi, Hino City), found the flute in a closet at her home.
Fukuko said, "People have an image of Toshizo as a Demon Vice-Commander, but I hope people will learn that he had an unexpected side playing the flute."
Hikogoro was the husband of Toshizo's sister, Nobu, and studied Tennen Rishin-ryu with Kondo Isami, the future Commander of the Shinsengumi. After the formation of the Shinsengumi, he was known for his financial support. The Sato family still has many items related to the Shinsengumi, including a hanging scroll written by Kondo Isami and a letter written by Okita Soji.
The flute was found in October of last year when Fukuko-san was sorting through old documents and other materials stored in a closet, and found it in a Japanese-style chest. This was the first time the flute was found, and in January of this year, a newspaper article from 1951 was also found showing a photo of Fukuko's grandfather, Hitoshi (仁), holding a flute. The article's photo description read, "Hijikata's descendant Sato Hitoshi playing Hijikata's flute" which made Fukuko realize that it must have been used by Toshizo.
The flute is approximately 40 cm long. The paper sheath and the silk pouch for the flute were also wrapped in Japanese paper.
On the next day, the flute was appraised by an antique art dealer, who also found that it was most likely made in the mid-Edo period, judging from the condition of the lacquer. According to Fukuko, Hikogoro and Toshizo's older brother, Tamejiro, enjoyed joruri (traditional Japanese puppet theater), and it can be surmised that Toshizo was influenced by them and became familiar with the flute.
Yamamura Tatsuya, 45, a historical writer who was in charge of historical research for the NHK Taiga drama "Shinsengumi!," said, "I've never heard a story about Toshizo playing the flute in any document. However, the newspaper article suggests that there was a long tradition in the Sato family that Toshizo loved to play the flute. It is a highly reliable and valuable relic."
The flute will be on special display at the Sato Hikogoro Shinsengumi Museum from March 3. Admission is 500 yen for adults and 300 yen for elementary and junior high school students.

heyyy! thoughts on how nobu, motonari, kenshin, ieyasu, and shingen act in an argument with their s/o, and how they make up? thanks, queen. love your blog btw
Hello! Aw I feel flattered that you like my blog! Thank you for requesting! Also, don’t worry, I saw your other ask adding more to the request.
Getting into an argument and making up.
Oda forces.
Nobunaga Oda.
It’s kind of expected to get into arguments sometimes, Nobunaga is a man who is quite assertive, tends to always win in an argument. But then you two have a fight, it wasn’t about something serious, but still got you two into an argument. It was mostly regarding his attitude, there were still some things that he didn’t understand when it comes to dating. For example, he didn’t understand why you were upset that, at banquets, dancers would dance around him. He wouldn’t pay any attention to them, he had you after all. But that still made you upset, so you confronted him. To him, it wasn’t something to worry about, so you should stop being concerned over it.
It earned him the silent treatment, which… he wouldn’t be able to endure. It pained him when you didn’t answer him or even looked at him. This man is not hesitant about calling a whole war council whenever you are upset. He will then approach you after receiving advice, offering you sweets (his favorites), asking you more softly why you were upset and what he could do to make you happy. Nobunaga will, no questions asked, do anything to make you happy.
Ieyasu Tokugawa.
It’s a bit hard to think of one specific case of when you two argued. It happens a little bit often because of his sour personality. Sometimes he can say things in such a salty way that it can cause an argument. But you usually wouldn’t get upset, and he didn’t like fighting with you, so he would apologize and end the arguments as fast as possible. But on this one occasion, he… was a bit too salty. But you didn’t respond to him right away, when he looked at you…
Oh no, were those tears? No, he didn’t mean to make you cry. He promised to never make you cry or feel sad. The apology came immediately, as well as being pulled into a tight hug. Ieyasu held you tightly as he gave you a million apologies.
Uesugi-Takeda alliance.
Kenshin Uesugi.
The reason was a bit obvious, kenshin can be a bit too overprotective. If you get hurt, even if it’s by accident, he will take care of you like you are in grave danger. And the object that hurted you? He will get rid of it, and any other object that may injure you. You tried talking to him about how he should take it easy and not worry so much about you, that he shouldn’t be so overprotective. He wasn’t trying to argue with you, but it did turn into an argument. To him, it was impossible to be less protective or to try and handle these situations more calmly. You were just too precious to him.
But he noticed that it upsets you that he wouldn’t at least try, and that pained his heart more than anything. He hugs you gently and promises that he will try to grant your wish and be more calm, to not take extreme solutions whenever something happens to you. And believe him, because he will give his all to do that.
Shingen Takeda.
Arguing with shingen can be rare, but it does happen. Of course, you trusted him fully and knew that he would never flirt with someone else, but… it still upset you a little bit how he would still get surrounded by women no matter where you two go. Other reasons for a possible argument is if he isn’t taking proper care of himself, or when he doesn’t tell you that something might have happened to not worry you. Regardless of the reasons, you will scold him because you seriously care about him.
Shingen will not try to argue in a way that makes you more upset. He will try to soothe you and reassure you that he is going to be ok and nothing can take him away from his goddess. In the end, his sweet words will calm you, but you will still worry about him.
Lone forces.
Motonari Mouri.
Arguments happen often, he can be a bit too cruel with his words sometimes. Insults often leaves his mouth, but he wouldn’t just go and insult you. It’s just that, sometimes, this pirate can be a bit too rough with his words. To the point of being irritating, so you two tend to argue a lot. Some of his crew often joke that you two look like a married couple already.
But arguments often end with… a bit of spicy makeups, one moment you two are arguing about the other being idiots, the other you two are kissing and clinging to each other. And it works, because you two forget all about what you were arguing before.

Yes, good, continue to spread the truth.
Because the story of Ieyasu's son having to commit seppuku recently aired in the drama, the news sites are reporting on how the situation in actual history was actually happening.
This article reports on how the Todaiki and older/more contemporary record actually said that Ieyasu only consulted Nobunaga what to do with his son and Nobunaga's response was "do what you want". The opinion is that in real history Ieyasu suspected his own son of treason and killed him out of paranoia.
The book that says Nobunaga ordered it and Ieyasu was powerless to object is a dubious Tokugawa propaganda that dunks on Nobunaga a lot in order to make Ieyasu look flawless and clean.
I'm honestly rather grouchy about how Dousuru is making Nobu look bad to prop up Ieyasu, like the Mikawa Monogatari has done. Like, just let Ieyasu be paranoid and cruel. So what? Just write him as an antihero character. Nobody said your protagonist have to be a saint.

gets its own post bc i havent drawn more for them yet, but headcanon names/etc info for the unreleased wyrmclan leaders! i will most likely stick to these names when referring to them from now on..! some more rambling/explanations below
pls take everything i say here with a grain of salt bc i am NOT a history expert and i didnt want to follow irl history too closely anyway bc it IS a fictional adaptation of irl figures
as for the names i tried to go for popular figures in the sengoku period since most of the wyrmclan leaders are from that era (seimei and yoshitsune being the only exceptions):
uesugi kenshin, known as the "dragon of echigo" and takeda shingen's rival... shingen is known to be loved by both his fellow wyrmclan leaders and vassals but its quite clear that he has a bad relationship with/disapproves of kenshin so i thought he might be just really. obnoxious and unreasonable... kenshin is the only one with a confirmed name/zodiac animal but the reason i thought he was the blond one is bc apparently depictions of uesugi kenshin in fiction often use that headdress that he was known to wear... (read it in some reddit post) which meant blue haired boy is the dog wyrmclan leader, since the others are pretty self explanatory
azai nagamasa, oda nobunaga's brother-in-law and enemy. i don't have.. a big reason for giving rabbit leader this name but i did want to prioritize figures with connections to existing wyrmclan leaders.. i think she'd be generally quite unsociable and blunt but she's probably especially bothered by nobu's recklessness...
chosokabe motochika, i mostly picked this name for the sheep leader bc it notes that his father worried about his gentle nature as a child.... akjhjkag i think he'd be a true pacifist and maybe disapproves of ieyasu for preaching peace but choosing to fight
toyotomi hideyoshi, known for being the last unifier of japan alongside tokugawa ieyasu and oda nobunaga.. was also loyal to nobunaga and defeats mitsuhide for his betrayal. i thought snake leader looked really scheming like mitsuhide so i wanted them to be like one-sided rivals.. (mitsu does not care) and the mitsu -> nobu betrayal is an actual thing that happened in wyrmclan history and while mitsu and nobu disregard their family feuds, i thought itd be funny if hideyoshi was a char who didnt? like constantly bugging nobu to stop being so close to a traitor like mitsu lmao...
date masamune, the "one-eyed dragon of oshu" and commonly depicted with an eyepatch... it could've been anyone between rabbit/dog/snake leader but i chose dog leader bc he is apparently known for his black armour..??
i picked elements/weapons mostly based on the illust we got of them (e.g. masamune's blade is already visible) but otherwise it's because i wanted all 9 weapon types to be present amongst the wyrmclan leaders! i think that's all i have to say for now but i do want to keep drawing them

Hello there! For the mini event may you please do gintama with the au avatar the last airbender, thank you!
Hello there, my lovely anon! I definitely can do that - I really couldn't come up with solid ideas, so I admit to taking the lazy way out, so have a pretty comprehensive list on what type of Benders everyone would be in this AU! And guys, there are so many characters in Gintama so I swear it wasn't as easy and lazy as it looks! Thanks for sending in a request and I hope you'll enjoy!
Okay, so we're going into this AU with there being the four major bending types - Earth, Air, Fire and Water. Each bending type is as it is portrayed in Avatar: The Last Airbender, with people possessing different degrees of bending and different skills being present within each bending type.
So, when considering which type of Bender each character would be, I kind of broke it down into personality types and traits and qualities to look for, based on what I figure the 'stereotypical' Bender is for each of the four.
Earth Benders are a little rough around the edges, slow to anger, slow to decide on things, but stubborn once their mind is made up. They can be sensitive and they are often very patient.
Air Benders are gentle souls, respectful and adaptable, changeable. They're fast, both in their movements and in their thoughts.
Water Benders are typically calm and easy-going, flexible enough to adapt to their companions or situations. They're often quite easy to talk to and rather content with their lives.
Fire Benders are often prideful and confident individuals who are loyal, determined and ambitious. They can be very playful and fun but they often also have very short fuses on their tempers, which can be very volatile and explosive.
Keeping that in mind, this is what I figure the characters would be for Benders.

Diving into manga and anime...
First of all, I have to say that I'm impressed for the quality, compromise and overly most impressed by the extension of some mangas.
In terms of this course, I made it to the point where I have to start watching series and mangas related to it. So I listened to a lot of Evangelion, One Piece and Shingeki no Kyojin from my classmates in college.
I tried to watch one of them (One Piece). The thing is that I think it's for people younger than me, it was fun but I didn't really connect with the story (even though the characters were the best part, especially Koby). So I didn't even give it a chance.
But Netflix suggested me the one called "Ōoku: The Inner Chambers". And it was absolutely right, I really enjoyed the first chapter because it had a beautiful love story and fantasy, and it also has legends. I have to say that the music, the sketches and the color palettes are on point.
In broad outline, the story is about a lethal plague that affects only men, therefore, women reform the government and country under a new dynasty named "Tokugawa". and the inner chambers of the shogun's temples become a private harem of men for the shogun.
Now the interesting part of the story begins with the assumption of the new "Shogun" named Yoshimune Tokugawa or Nobu (the most important woman in Japan who also maintains a palace with 800 beautiful men at her service as a demonstration of power).
In the first chapter, we see her constantly questioning things around her, including why women are forced to use male names in all official records. We also see her breaking the rules of the "Code of Ōoku", for example, she was supposed to lose her virginity to a man who was to be beheaded, but she allowed him to live.
The most entertaining thing happens at the end of the chapter. She goes to the Secretary of State (who has all the records) to find out why women can't use their female names and other things. When they are together, she asks to see the first records, and the surprise happens after she asks who "Kasuga" (who created the Ōoku Code) and Murase Masasuke (the secretary) answers that "Kasuga" was a woman.
So, if you are interested in manga, please watch this series found on Netflix. Personally, I'm just getting into this world and thanks to this series it's been great.

A kiss pressed against Tsunade's cheek from above. The Tokugawa heir stared down at her with a wide grin. Now that the contract had been signed and made public in the prophet, he had been relishing in the public displays. "Happy birthday, Tsu..." The Slytherin slid onto the Hufflepuff booth holding a small package. Inside held a pedant with a purple dragon rising to the heavens, the Tokugawa family crest.
Kind of Unprompted || Always Accepting! || @nobunaga-the-warlord
Turning a but towards, a smile crossing her features she rolls her eyes at him. There was more freedom to just be now compared to before. It came in waves of affection that they could finally openly display.
Taking the gift she carefully begins up wrapping it, stopping to look into the others eyes. “It’s not going to come jumping out at me or burst into flames is it?” Tsunade jokes before pulling off the last layer.
“Oh” It leaves her breathless, the pendant is beautiful and immediately she recognizes his families crest. Quickly but gently she pushes it back into his hands, eyes sparkling. “Put it on me, right now please.” But before that happens Tsunade wraps her arms around his neck, tugging Nobu down to her height and kissing him.
“You think the other boys will stay away from me now since I’m wearing your family crest even more in the open?” She mumbled against his lips, just needing to get one more tease in. It was, after all, her birthday. She was allowed to do that.

Just saw a YouTube short about some of Gintama’s villains and whether they were "broken" or "pure evil". Three and a half of them were labeled "pure evil", but I feel that’s a bit wrong.
In the video maker's opinion,
"Broken":
Takasugi Shinsuke
Kamui
Oboro
Itou Kamotarou
Sasaki Isaburou
Doromizu Jirocho
Kintoki
Enmi! Gintoki (interesting choice there, including him)
Obi Hajime
Enshou
Tokugawa Nobu Nobu
"Pure Evil":
Housen
Jiraia
Tokugawa Sada Sada
50/50:
Utsuro
In my opinion, only one of these guys, Sada Sada, is "pure evil". Maybe Housen as well, but the argument can be made that he is more "broken" than "pure evil".
Also, what kind of nonsense is "50/50"? Utsuro is just as broken as the rest of them.

Repost of the Tōshō Daigongen 東照大権現 explanation, now that I managed to get ahold of an actual screenshot of it from the English app.
This deity name is the name used to deify Ieyasu in Nikkō shrine after his death. I have no idea why the game writer chose this as opposed to Nobunaga’s actual deity name, Takeisao no Kami 建勲神. I suppose it’s meant to show that “Nobunaga’s ambition failed, and was taken by Ieyasu”.
“He whose authority... etc etc” is a very very odd translation of Tōshō Daigongen. I cannot find what basis did the translators use to come up with that rendition. To be entirely fair, even in Japanese I cannot find a definitive explanation of what it means. Unfortunately, when it comes to complex phrasiology, such as proverbs and religious names like this, the translator’s choice of translation has always been a bit weird. It’s almost looked like the translators just frequently made up their own interpretations, even when there are explanations available (e.g Dairokuten Maou is NOT “Lord of Hell”).
Some believed that name Tōshō Daigongen in reality actually means “The incarnation of the Buddha who illuminates the Eastern sky”, and alludes to Yakushi Nyorai, whom Ieyasu’s family had been devoted to. Yakushi Nyorai was one of the “Three Buddhas who Illuminate the East”.
Some others believed it was made in association with the location of his enshrinement, Mount Nikkō 日光. Nikkō means “sunlight”. Tōshō 東照 means “Eastern illumination”, alluding to sunrise. By being enshrined there, Ieyasu will be the “guardian” of peace who watches over Japan, the Land of Rising Sun.
Neither of them sounds anything like Mandate of God or Heaven, or authority. I believe it’s possible that the translators couldn’t find any proper translation for what “Tōshō Daigongen” means and made up something completely random based on the vague notion of “sun rising in the East”. It’s very similar to how they translate variations of Tenka touitsu 天下統一 (unifying the nation) into “Divine rule”, which… has a very different connotation/meaning. Maybe to make it sound dramatic?
