RANT!!!

I just want to say that the amount of transtraumatized/transharmful/trans(some disorder) positivity going around on this app is SICKENING. Now, I don't know if I'm just on the wrong side of tumblr, but I see so many people that support transtraumatized/transharmful people on here, and it's so disappointing.

I want to say that, for neurological conditions and trauma disorders, if you don't have them, you aren't supposed to have them and don't need them. I see so many people who are transplural, but I need people to know that if you do not have d.i.d, but think you have the trauma for it, you do not. What you went through is terrible, and trauma is trauma, everyone's trauma is valid and I'm so sorry to hear about what you went through, but if you did not develop d.i.d, you aren't supposed to have it.

That's that. And if you want d.i.d for the fun of it, well, it's not fun to have at all, you won't get it either because when the brain fully develops at the age of around 9 I believe, it can't split, and I doubt nine year olds use this app. As for neurological conditions like autism, if you don't have them now, you never will, because things like autism are things you are supposed to be born with.

Another thing is that transtraumatized is a TERRIBLE THING AND SHOULD NOT EXIST. I have seen things such as transS@victim, transk!dnapped, and things like that. Trauma is not something you want. It fucks up your life so much, you DON'T want it.

Even if you already have trauma and are identifying as another trauma survivor and such, you do not want more. I do understand feeling like your trauma wasn't good enough, but please. It's terrible to get retraumatized and also just to get traumatized on its own. The number of people I have seen going down absolute terrible paths because of what happened to them is just really sad.

But to sum it up, you are enough as you are. Please do not try to acquire disabilities that you do not have, and please do not identify as a survivor of what you have not gone through. Stay as you are, you are always enough.

tell me if im stepping out of line and i'll shut up but regarding ur asks abt bls being catered to straight girls, i feel like while maybe most western mlm media isn't made with straight women in mind (tho some of it is, it's just more subtle ig) that doesn't mean it's made for mlm either. most gay content in western media is implemented in the story for woke points unless it's made by actual lgbt ppl. so like, the problem isn't just with bls u know (cont.)

&just like as a western person i can sometimes relate to gay content in western media despite its flaws (but sometimes those can't be overlooked, it's complicated) the same must be for u w/ asian gay media, as i've seen in the time i've known u. so yeah, just food for thought, it's easier to see the flaws in bls and not be able to overlook them as westerners but we shouldn't forget that it's not made for us and that we're just used to western lgbt media so that's why we tend to ignore its issues

nico!!! this is an extremely good point, thank you for bringing it up. a lot of flaws in western lgbt media go overlooked as well, especially when it’s made by cishet people. surprisingly little content actually grasps the nuance of lgbt and i feel like looking at bls through a western lens is definitely not the way to be critical of certain aspects, because it isn’t made for western audiences. i think first westerners need to be critical of their own media first, because that’s where content tends to be made for them (or at least cishet westerners) and that’s where you can look at it through that lens and criticise it properly. it definitely is a very nuanced topic and it’s best to be mindful and respectful. thank you for this point!!
