So I was rewatching Honey queen and knowing what would happen my watching experience was obviosly different compared to the first time but there is one scene that really caught my atenttion.

Roman says to Gerald: "Our list of contestants has dwindeled significantly. Some deseving women have dropped out. Moved from town. One is on a yacht in the middle of the goddamn Caribbean. I don't know what you and my daughter are up to, but I will not see the dignity of this pageant tarnished by anyone! I will be fair in my judgement tonight. Linda will get no special treatnent from me."

When I first wached this I obviosly tought he ment that he wouldn't help her win. But like... Roman knew that Linda had done so much to win. He knew she was hungry enough to win. He knew what would happen to the winner. Ultimately he was saying to Gerald: "I will not help hide any of the things Linda has done. If she dies then so be it, Nibbly shall be given a sacrafice that will make him happy"

Nibbly gives Roman and the others wealth and power. To get that, Roman was willing to sacrafise his daughter. Like father like daughter I guess

I finally got confirnation that im on the waiting list for physiotherapy and I'm so excited about it. It's been over a year since I was told that it IS Ehlers Danlos Type 3 but theyre gonna mark it on my medical records as Hypermobility Syndrome because "they get the same treatment" and essentially kicked out and ignored when I raised concerns about the fact that I deserve my ACTUAL diagnosis regardless of the treatnent being the same. Thank fuck for my endocrinologist always listening to me and pushing for documentation of what the treatment plan actually is so I could beg my GP for referrals that the rheumatologist was SUPPOSED to provide, fuck the rheumatologist for (1) not referring me, (2) not providing me with info on what the treatment plans ARE so I had to spend over a year trying to get any kind of call back about it abd eventually having to bother a whole selarate unrelated department about it, and (3) refusing to give me the diagnosis she SAID IS THE ACTUAL CORRECT ONE.

I adore my endo but she puts up with so much from me. I cry in her office regularly and I cried today reading the letter confirming my referal. I still don't get to see the pain clinic for some reason but this feels like the cogs are finally turning. Fuck knows how long the wait list is for physio but last time I was there they referred me to the rheumatologist because they found evidence of joint swelling as well as everything else and worried it could be arthritis on top of the rest, and THEY told me that with hEDS I would need mobility aids as well as their help but i needed a diagnosis for them to recommend them, so hopefully they re-refer me to rheumatogy and I can refuse to leave her office until I get the help I need. It's becoming pretty clear that I cant get to her without another referal.

BPD + Autism PSA

Hey! Sorry for the inactivity, a lot has been going on. But yesterday something came to my attention and I thought it was really important to get the word out

Because I live with her and she's a big component to my support system, yesterday I went to my mom and told her I think I should be tested for autism. We'd discussed the possibility of me being autistic before, but after my mental evaluation two years ago, we didn't dwell on it much since I wasn't diagnosed with it then.

But I've been noticing more and more symptoms that I exhibit and I haven't done as much improving in my treatment in the past couple years as I would have liked. So I brought it up again. She took me seriously and said I should bring it up with my therapist.

Later, she did some research online, and found an interesting article.

The article is about how BPD and Autism are way more similar than they were previously believed to be. In the study that was done, they found that many people with Autism were misdiagnosed with BPD, and vice versa, or that the two overlapped.

The line is blurry, and because of it people are getting misdiagnosed and aren't getting proper treatnent.

I thought it'd be important to share this because I had no idea until just yesterday. There could be others who don't know and are getting treatment for something they don't have instead of for what they do have

Tl;dr, if you are diagnosed either borderline or autistic and you think you might be the other or both, bring it up with your therapist/psychitatrist/etc. If you know somebody who is diagnosed borderline or autistic, maybe give them a heads up.
