i know i've been musicposting but oh my god gold by trixie mattel. the idea that things that feel horrible in the moment, those cold blooded wrongs, are just a part of loving. not even just romantic love; when someone is a big part of your life, they will hurt you and you will hurt them. sometimes that'll be the reason you grow apart, sometime's it's just chance. but years down the line, when you've both moved on, when the front lawn turns gray and your memories are fuzzy around the edges, those songs that reminded you of them still do. for a moment, you'll grow past all the hurt that you caused each other and just remember how it felt to love and be loved by that person. isn't that incredible?
