He growls. Again. Lucky Sabi’s all wired wrong. Sure, the instinct’s there somewhere, the downside of increasing her pheromones like this. She feels it. The urge to purr and scent him. Reassure him that he’s her alpha, all appeasement behavior and possession.

But it’s deep, deep down. Easier to roll her eyes, harder to resist the urge to bare her teeth while he tries to play dumb. As if she hasn’t seen him loose arrows true three-quarters of the way to dead.

As if she hasn’t been tracking every one, the easy violence drawing more of that cinnamon-heat into her scent.

An Imperial Radch Fanzine

October 1st 2023 will mark ten years since the first publication of Ann Leckie’s Ancillary Justice, the first book in the Imperial Radch trilogy. It will also mark about six months (give or take) since the publication of Translation State, which is a standalone novel also set in the same universe.

I am feral about these books, and I want to do something about it, so I want to make a zine to celebrate this fact. I think that Radch has had a seminal impact on the sci-fi genre, and I think that Seivarden has had an even more seminal impact on the poor little meow meow genre. 

I’m hoping that by the first of May, I’ll be able to put out an official call for people who would like, for whatever reason, to join me in this endeavour. The most important thing about this zine is that there will be a low bar for quality of submission, but a high bar for affection of submission. I do not expect to be an exemplary or unmatched editor, but I do expect that I will approach this project with love. As a result, all I can ask for is much the same - that you love the work.

If any of this sounds interesting or intriguing to you, please watch this space. I will put together a better pitch by May 1, which is when Translation State releases. Edit: TS releases June 6, Goodreads lied to me.

there are fewer ts resource links this update, not because the uploaders are dwindling, but because they’re turning into multis! this means there is more content for a variety of groups nowadays. if a link below is listed as ‘multi’, PLEASE check to see if your group is one that they upload for. there are some uploaders that are posting almost every single group on every single music show.

what is a ts file?

a ts file is an uncompressed raw recording. gifmakers prefer to use it because the quality isn’t compromised as it is in a different type of video. you do not have to use a ts file to make gifs, but it does ensure that your gifs come out at the highest possible quality they can be, especially when put through vapoursynth or avisynth (so that you can scale, crop, etc, without messing with the quality).

main ts file archives:

kpop24hrs -- this is the internet’s main ts file archive. it holds a decade of kpop live stages, variety, kdrama, etc, depending on what the uploaders are into. you can also request live collections or certain stages and whoever has it can send you links to it. unfortunately the website is members-only and they are officially an invite-only site. invites are available from other users for a price (points) however the points-system is tough to navigate because you need to reach a certain level to be able to access certain files. THIS SITE IS NEWLY CLOSED AND NO LONGER OPENS FOR MEMBERSHIPS.

the internet archive -- i just discovered this a couple of hours ago. it is an extensive archive of ts files. when selecting the file you’re looking for, navigate to the download options on the right hand side and click ‘show all’. you’ll be taken to a list of downloads of the file, usually allowing you to choose between mp4, ts, or torrent. click the one you want and it’ll start downloading!

4sashi -- i no longer recommend 4sashi, but they do have some files available (gg only) and operate on a registered-member-obly basis. ideal for newer uploads because the older ones are inaccessible. you have to contact the admin through inbox to gain access to the exclusive section.

I do feel the idea that all of pre skip sanji is good and all of post is bad cause I feel that ignores a lot of stuff. For me there's the Sanji Exclusion Zone around the middle of the series with thriller bark up to about punk hazard or early dressrosa. This itself isn't entirely consistent cause he's got good moments in here but I do feel it's the period where his bit is the most annoying. But zou onwards like the gags with him (and everyone else like this was hardly sanji only. Kinemon and brook also did a bunch) mellow out a bunch (except that one bit in wano admittedly that was kinda annoying but brief at least) and I feel he's pretty cool again. Kinda similar to nami's design I feel when people say post ts they mean the very early post ts stuff and leaving out all the rest.

No fr it feels extremely dismissive of Sanji's character as a whole to JUST label him as a pervert with pre and post ts points like that, like YES he has pervert gags but he is literally much more than that and his pervert gags are truly minimal compared to everything else we see regarding Sanji. Currently EggHead Sanji has been SOOOO CUUUTE and I must thank the new, young editor Oda's gotten cause I am so sure whichever old editor Oda had must've pushed the Sanji perv gags since Sanji was NEVER the stereotypical shonen perv character a lot of shonen editors probably WANTED him to be lol
