O K so im having an issue thats annoying me more than it should tbf but for some reason i keep hearing music like actual songs from the Radio's Station (and its legit all songs im pretty sure i disabled from my game) qnd i cannot figure out where its coming from all my stereos show the options like theyre turned off and i see none of the little music notes coming from anywhere, i thought i fixed it when i bough and rebought my headphones but nope i still cannot figure what stereo its coming from or how to turn it off, i already replaced all my stereo sold and rebought my headphones like 3 times, the only mods related to stereos i have (outside of custom cc stereos) is Littlemssam's "Automatic Stereo System" and i have custom music added to my game's stations but none of the songs that play are the custom ones, pls its like such a mild bug but its annoying the hell out of me i cqn barely play akajajjw cause the music is acc fairly loud and the similish is giving me headache, was there any recent bug w custom music or a new update of the littlemssam mod that would be the culprit??? if not please help what is it pls aaaaaa help me!!!!!

I was doing some cleaning from my mods folder (which was soo necessary at this point lol things were starting to get out of hand lol) I noticed after removing some files, I was unable to load my current household. It was stuck in that infinite loading screen bug??

Long story short, it was an Infant Playmat recolor (this is the one I used in particular) that caused the infinite loading screen bug for me. Without that CC, a last exception was prompted for me that read:

"T:\InGame\Gameplay\Scripts\Server\developmental_milestones\developmental_milestone_tracker.py"

After doing some searching, it appears that any infant milestones that were achieved using that particular playmat, will be linked to that playmat. So without it, your game (or at least for me) will not be able to read any of infant milestones!

Wild, huh? I didn't think a simple recolor would cause that kind of a bug. I thought it would be helpful to share this just in case anyone else was experiencing any of this weirdness.

(Also, I'm not saying the creator of the recolor was aware of this happening or even knew this would happen, but I'm sure this an issue with the original file to begin with)

Does anybody actually know what causes the unremoveable CC glitch? or how to fix it even?

I took off the tattoo but it is still there and i can even apply something in the same category

is anyone else dealing with infinite loading screens lately? i've been trying all kinds of methods trying to fix it for the last 4 days. i tried doing 50/50, removing all cc/mods altogether, repairing, deleting caches, resetting ea app. like literally everything.

my only solution so far is removing mc command center (but do i wanna play without it? erm no not really.)

my households only load without mccc and everything else or with mccc and nothing else. its very strange.

also i don't have any game breaking conflicts and all my mods are updated to the 1.98/1.99 patch.

i'm very desperate atp lmao. any help is appreciated!

Is anyone else dealing with infinite loading screens lately? (Since for rent patch!!)

I’ve been trying to fix my game for over a week. I think I tried everything, like... 50/50, removing all cc/mods altogether, repairing, deleting caches, resetting ea app....except un- & reinstalling it completeIy! I tried a lot and wasted a lot of time.

My suspicion was that some CC doors & windows caused the endless loading, bcs it worked after removing those items. (50/50) BUT!! As soon as I was building , especially on bigger lots, that endless loading started again. Or my game just crashes in build mode, but also in CAS it happened, when I wanted to go back to my lot/house with my sims. However, I noticed that those issues affect builds, that were built before the update!! It has something to do with removing/placing an item in build mode. Objects placed on top of each other, seem to have broken my game/save? But most striking were those objects in the picture below for me!

Whenever I placed and moved them, I got Last Exceptions by the game itself and also MCCC. Error: Exception in <function c_api_clear_parent_object at 0x00007FF4BEE31170>... I had no idea what this meant? I was not even sure, if it was actually that object above in the pic? So I also put Better Exceptions by Twisted Mexi in my game, as additional help, to find out what exactly the issue is. All the mods I had, were save! It seems to be a prob by the game itself.

I checked and asked at EA Help/ Answers HQ and found out, that other ppl also have the same issues with their game. That means, no matter what I try, it won’t help. Sure, I could also rebuild all my houses & builds, from scratch.😡 Downloading them from the gallery and placing them in my new or old save, won’t really help, because most of my builds were built before the update. I tried this and it didn’t work. The only solution that actually worked was to build a house from scratch. But honestly? Who has timet for such a shit?

Anyway, I can play my game. Everything runs smoothly and well, I just can’t switch from my lot/house to CAS or Build mode, without that endless loading or a game crash. I have to move my Sims to an empty lot first, to be able to get back from CAS to my current game session, without a crash. 😒😒

I’m totally annoyed by Sims rn! I’m sick and tired of it! Something always breaks, as soon as a major update comes. 😡Can’t they do their damn job right?? I mean, it doesn’t have to be perfect, but I do not see the point in spending money on a game, that destroys my saves and work in which I have invested a lot of time and effort. I have never complained or regretted spending money on it. I would even be willing to pay a bit more, if things worked properly but..... come on, that sucks and it's not fair!

Anyway, I had to let off some steam and well! Maybe someone here has a better solution I haven’t found yet? But I hope EA will fix this shit! Though....they didn’t even manage to fix the stair rails. Now they look just as crappy as before! 🤦‍♀️

is someone also having issues with alien eyes?

everytime i try to play with genetics (i didnt have a full alien baby in game yet, only "hybrids"), or even just switching between male and female frame or ages, my aliens get a default orange eye color and wont let me change it. When i click on the eyes the game only let me pick eye presets, not colors :/

I dont know how to fix that, pls help

I haven't had any luck on Reddit or Twitter so asking Tumblr... Anyone know what could be causing this glitch?

I already tried removing ALL CC / mods then clearing the cache and repairing the game and it's still happening. It only affects some of my Sims, like mainly ones in this bloodline (but not all, like the Sim in the middle has a daughter who looks normal but his sisters and son are messed up.)

Is it an actual glitch? I don't see how it could be mod-related since I removed it all. Anyone else experiencing this? So far I've only seen 2 other people say it happened to them on Reddit.

For Rent Pack Users: Help Needed

Hey lovelies. I just got the For Rent pack the week after Christmas and so far I'm loving it, but recently I've been getting this glitch/bug and I'm wondering if it's just the pack itself or if it's a mod that I need to check out.

Here's a quick screenshot:

For some reason this is what comes up instead of the families that live inside of it for any of the rental lots. Has anybody been through this yet? Any advice and or reblogs to pass the word along is appreciated.

Hello hi! Where is Luca living now while at uni? Is it a dormitory (like drake Hall) or an apartment? Its gorgeous!! I always find university so hard to play through because the dorms are so annoying to decorate, you know the big ones :(

hello friend! thank you! he's living in a dorm room in britechester. i usually use whatever is in the save i'm playing in but bc the ultimate save doesn't seem to have britechester decorated almost at all, i replaced most of the lots & i'm currently playing in the drake hall reno by mikkimur on the gallery.

as for decorating, i know what you mean lmao so i usually just stick to decorating the room my sim is gonna be living in and leaving the rest mainly or completely untouched. i almost never play university on campus (because it's boring to have to manage a single sim who's just studying 99% of the time lmfao) so i don't really see any reason to build an entire dorm w/ how particular i am with cluttering stuff lol

to answer the other question about the layout (since i'm assuming it's from the same person), it's just the 2 rooms in mikkimur's reno glued together with an arch, mostly bc taking screenshots in a single tiny room gets repetitive, Fast (and bc a roommate is just more fun). here's a top down view of what it looks like in my game:

the sims is now just CAS and build mode for me because every time I try to play the game, I get that bug where the animation and time don’t stop, but the game “freezes” (the sims get stuck in the animation loop) and I can’t click on anything. I’ve been able to wait it out in the past (the time snaps back to the time when it first “froze” if I do this) but I haven’t had any luck with that recently :(( it’s 100% caused by either too many mods or conflicting mods, but idk which and if it’s the latter, I have no idea what’s conflicting. FUCK

Heyy! I hope you’re ankle is feeling a little better. I wanted to reach out. I am also dealing with srwe issues now, which I never did until recently. I’ve done some testing and searching based off of your responses. A few things I’ve tested — with and without mods, reshade installed/uninstalled, fresh install of ea/sims 4, without swre. I saw that there was an open report with ea (I clicked me too) but I’ve tried and tested on every mode, and windows key. With and without srwe. The white border freezing only happens with srwe. I saw another response about a windows update, so I backed up my computer. Reimaged/reset my entire computer with a clean install of windows and the issue is still persisting. I’m not sure if there’s anything else I can try?

Hi! I'm so sorry you're experiencing that issue too. Someone in my discord server said they've been able to fix it with SRWE by running the game and SRWE as administrator. You may also have to run EA App as admin too. They mentioned something about running it all in compatibility mode as well, but didn't say for which Windows version - that part might not be necessary. I'd try running it all as admin first to see what happens.

It almost sounds like in the last big update something has changed with how TS4 utilises or renders the window or viewport, but I'm just wildly speculating, it might have nothing to do with that. Hopefully they're looking into it.

Anyone know what mod could be causing my sim's work outfits to suddenly change to a bunch of randomized clothing? Like this is what Reila went to work wearing:

It's not just her either! Other sims she works with also have weird clothes:

My game hasn't been updated to the latest patch and all my mods are up to date that I know of. But something is obviously causing this problem? I really don't want to have to do the 50/50 method with my mods folder again. 😭😭😭
