PROMPT: Angels of Fumus with a human lover.
. . .
i. Taffy does not want to deal with inevitable heartbreak that comes with having a mortal lover. literally and figuratively, you are worlds apart and so, he keeps his heart closed. he's committed countless atrocities and sins and he wonders how he's still (un)mercifully living and breathing only because his god allows it. you find a confidant in him and he likes listening to you, in return he finds a friend in you and you console his grief to best of your ability, but that's as far as that'll go. it's for the best if he wants to keep you safe and out of reach from lord fumus.
ii. Yuu strays from romantic relationships generally, the chance of happiness is tempting but he resists the temptation for his own sake that would end up being ephemeral in any case. bringing you with him to his world is not an option, so he'll end up asking for advice from taffy – his closest friend and comrade – on the matter, though he has a feeling he already knows what kind of answer he will receive. he doesn't want you to cry over a caged bird like him, he leaves as many kisses on your face as needed until your tears have finally dried. "for... good luck," he'll tell you, not realizing it's the last you'll be seeing of his gentle, red eyes.
iii. Lei Hitotose cannot get enough of the wonder and awe you praise him with, asking how he manages moving around with those three huge wings ("wow, they're even soft like cotton!" you'll tell him) and trying to poke at his halo by standing on your tippy-toes. his sin is that he is self-indulgent to a fault, but he cares very little about it. he'll allow you to touch and pat him wherever you please, so long as he can return the favor with a 'curiosity' of his own by getting to fondle you – you can trust either way that this pervy seraph won't be keeping his hands to himself.
iv. Zero Hitotose reasons to himself he should focus on duty and mission above all else, but he's a fool in love and his mind drifts back to you, inevitably. he can live just fine without you, but he certainly doesn't want to. he's impulsive and not graceful in the slightest and always comes crash-landing out of the blue somewhere near your current location. you'll find him sprawled in a rose bush, and he's embarrassed out of his wits, but when you say you're laughing not at him, but because you're happy to see him, any regrets or second-guessed he had previously fade away in instant.
v. Engetsu may enjoy a little self-indulgent fling of his own, not at all shy to go after something that catches his eye. it's certainly fun for him too, to pretend to just be a normal boyfriend (who just enjoys crossdressing) that you have, to your family or friends, instead of an ethereal being from an entirely another world. he thinks some of them can probably sense something odd about him, those who are more susceptible to the otherworldly. yet at the end of it, he is still a realist through and thorough, knowing you won't be with him forever, as much as he does like you – amongst other complications and it's perhaps best to end it, but trust he'll give you something to remember him by; with long, passionate hours into the night in your room and clothes discarded on the floor.
vi. Fiore enjoys long conversations with you, how you see the world around you is so fundamentally different from his own, and your differing viewpoints keep his interest and attention. it's highly likely he can understand the language you speak, but you can't understand the writings and scripture that's written in the books in his world, so he would enjoy teaching you how to read it. it's undeniable by the feelings of deep affections he holds that it's more than friendship on his side. he doesn't visit often, but he writes letters. some of them are never sent. things he thinks should be said out loud, but won't (or can't) bring himself to do it.
vii. Inga never tells you of the violent conflicts and punishments he endures, but he doesn't always clean the blood and nurse the wounds effectively enough for you not to notice it anyway. he rarely talks about himself, preferring for you to do it instead. being in love with you is just being in another war with himself, and it's an easy victory (or defeat) to accept the hardship of loving someone so pure and worlds away from the source of all his pain. your presence to him is really the epitome of the phrase, "you gave me peace in a lifetime of war".
viii. realistically, Tsurugigozen has no interest in mingling with anyone that much of a lower status than himself. your unrequited yearning fuels his ego, but he keeps you at arms' length, not believing you to be worthy of him. yet he gets pissy when you lose interest due to his 'apathy' and he doesn't get the attention he expects from you, so he'll subtly degrade and make you feel small, but you won't let him get away with it, ("i thought god's angels were creatures of enlightenment, but now i see you're just some phoneys wearing stupid costumes!") and he's deserving of every nasty word – but one has to wonder why has he not just left if he really thinks of you as that insignificant. maybe he isn't as complex as he likes to think of himself as.
ix. Youran is a romantic in every sense of the word, it's possible he'll look at his surroundings with rose-tinted glasses and live in fantasy constructed of false ideals, ignoring all the macabre and the ugly. and you believe him too, with his kisses sweet as honey dew and words of romance like something from your collection of poetry books – but it is him who becomes lost in his own grandeur delusions and wringing you along, one of his comrades will likely have to remind him of the gravity of the situation and who it is he keeps sneaking off for not-so secret trysts under the moonlight and clear skies of stars. it is possible he'll be out of your life as abrupt as he came once the realization finally sinks in for him, making his presence feel like nothing more than a dream due to a fever. but it's certainly enough to leave a lasting ache and a hollow feeling because of it.
x. Aes doesn't remember the last time he really fell in love with someone – it could've been centuries or even eons ago because he's never really been the type to form romantic connections with anyone, but once he actually realizes it, it's an indescribable feeling of being at peace. the sweet blond angel, if only he could, would grant you immortality, but he would never want to subject you to the violence and bloodshed he's surrounded with daily, no matter if it's the devil's or his own god's world he's residing at said moment of time. he wonders of the possibility – if erasing your memories of him would ease his and your pain, knowing there isn't a reality out there where you could be together without a war in between, but he really doesn't want you to forget about him. in and outside the battlefield, his heart remains weak as always, and he himself can't deny it.

Au Silver Bullet (Mafia au)
Author and owner -@jackplushie
I'm sorry if I'm bothering you.
BUT I just can't resist writing an excerpt on such a cool AU Excuse me, I will use the name "Yuu" for the bartender MC
It was one of the cloudy days this month. The short rainy season raged with all the force it had for this week. The bartender has to go to work in rubber boots and a raincoat in order not to drown in a heavy downpour. A couple of times, the neighbors, these three cute old men around the house, suggested that Yuu take oars and a boat with him to swim to work. Oh, these jokes of theirs.. Approaching the entrance to the bar, Yuu notices a gray wet lump next to the door. It looks like someone threw garbage right under their bar door. Excellent. A wonderful start to the working day. There weren't enough of these pompous criminal guys, so also… No wait, garbage shouldn't sneeze and shake like a leaf in the wind.
Hastily sheltering from the rain under a small canopy over the door of the bar, loud noise from falling drops almost like an uncontrolled drum or alarm clock. After taking a closer look and removing the hood from his face, Yuu were clearly surprised by the morning find. No, it wasn't garbage!
-Cat? Hey, buddy, where did you come from?
Squatting down, the bartender examined the stray cat with interest. Very annoyed by the fact that his fluffy fur coat was wet through. He hissed and snorted very displeased, as if he was trying to take out all his anger at not the weather.
-No collar…not like you're lost..
Rummaging in the pockets of his raincoat to find a bunch of keys, Yuu opens the door of the bar wide enough for the poor cat to get inside.
-Well?Will you be my first visitor Mister? If you kick out the mice and behave yourself, I'll feed you properly.
Even before he could finish, the cat immediately slipped into a warmer room in comparison with the dank street, with its cold strong wind. The bartender had to give up the umbrella due to the fact that they were almost blown away by the wind along with the umbrella. Yes, they definitely weren't going to suddenly learn to fly in rainy weather.
Watching the cat with undisguised amusement, Yuu took off their raincoat so as not to leave wet footprints on the floor. But the traces of cat paws immediately filled the entire floor of the bar. Only after running inside, this impudent cat began to shake off his paws from the water and dirt, snorting loudly and angrily.Under the quiet laughter of the bartender watching him. And then, like the owner, the cat sniffed and studied every corner he could get to. Finally, having settled on one of the chairs, the cat began to diligently wash and put his fur coat in order.
Well, the beginning of the working day has become much better. The cat was smug, arrogant, and with a temper. But quite a bit of treats from Yuu and the newly minted feline friend became the most obedient and compliant.
Pleasantly surprised to find out a couple of days later that the mice and rats finally left the bar with the appearance of the cat, Yuu decided to reward his furry friend. Grimm, such a name was chosen during their lonely working hours under the quiet meowing of the cat. The cat was definitely happy with the reward and became literally a regular at the bar. The bartender even arranged a "vip" place for him at the bar. Taking one of the old leaky baskets and laying an old pillow with a fluffy towel, they built a kind of bed for the cat.
Usually Grimm lazily watched the visitors and very very rarely went out to the visitors to beg for some treats.
What surprised the Bartender the most was that Grimm began from time to time to bring coins or bills lost or forgotten by visitors or lost on the street.
-Oh? Have you decided to pay? Okay, I'll buy you some goodies with this money.
Over time, Grimm became a good friend for Yu and a playmate "Grimm get off the bar, I just wiped it!", "Fluffy marauder!!" "DON'T TOUCH THE GLASS ON THE EDGE OF THE TABLE!!!!!!" A sign appeared in the bar "Dear visitors, do not leave your drinks unattended, there is a bar THE CATZILLA"
And the Grimm warily hisses when someone from the "mafia" approaches the bar. Yuu now has a fluffy alarm system. Once Grimm even stood up for Yuu, hissing menacingly and scratching, biting to the blood one very persistent drunk guy who almost crawled through the bar to Yuu. That night, Grimm received a lot of goodies and strokes from a modest bartender.
Aaaaaaaand another dialogue
The Heartslabyul mafia visited the bar with Riddle for the first time. It was decided to take a couple of low-alcohol drinks.
The bartender, as always, asked for documents in order not to sell alcohol to minors. Crime is crime, and Yuu criminals and violators of the law somehow did not burn with the desire to become.
-Are you 18 years old?
-Yes.- Ace answers.
-Hey, Yuu…let's take a walk for once. You're like a workaholic with your teeth in this bar, there are many places in the city that are worth seeing. - Diamond decided to flirt a little. Never giving up trying to bring all your questions like spears and press them to Yuu's throat. To get at least one sound out of their throats and mouths.
-And 16? -Yuu suddenly asks. -Uh… No? - bewildered Deuce blurts out completely not understanding what he is talking about. -Then no booze, sir. If there are 18 and there are documents to confirm, then there are no problems. In return, I can offer a wide range of tea. It is listed in the menu in front of you. The guys snorted merrily at this joke. "There are 18 years, but there are no 16 years"
-Cold as an iceberg… oh, you break my heart. - Diamond added in frustration, realizing that his questions were being ignored again. -I can recommend a strong blue duct tape, sir.For sale in the next block. - briefly added the bartender taking an order from Deuce for coffee. Ace laughed all evening afterwards and actually bought blue duct tape for Cater.

ACOD| Chapter VI
Tumblr media
There was only Aria and the man with the different eyes. The other man, who she had learnt that his name was Kai, had gone back, somewhere where their group was all gathered together.
The man, Raven, was the leader of the gifted group, a group of people blessed by the Gods with supernatural powers. They were rumored to be the henchmen of the late king, doing his filthy work inside the city. Pallius was no beloved king, he was hated with a passion by everyone, including the gifted group.
"We didn't kill him, if that's what you want to ask." Raven broke the silence between them and smiled at her.
"I wasn't going to ask that." She countered and sped up her pace to match his.
"Where are we going?" Aria asked, trying to memorize the way back to the castle. Her time was limited inside the city, although she wanted to stay the whole night.
"Nowhere. I just want to find a silent place to talk." His eyes were clouded, and Aria was certain that he was thinking hard about what she had said. Raven hadn't asked her anything in front of Kai; instead, he had told him to go back and that he would soon join them.
"We can walk throughout the city and talk, no need for me to stray way too far." Aria suggested, hoping he would agree. She had no way to go back on her own and the fear Ellian had instilled inside her was tremendous. She could easily imagine him beheading her for not being in her room when he got back in the morning.
"I don't want anyone to hear us, but let's stay here darling." Raven stopped walking and again grabbed her to the side, this time a little more gently.
"Tell me." Aria was stuck between the tree and him; he was tall and his shoulder's broad. His built was similar to Ellian's, but they were the exact opposite in their appearance.
"I want to escape to the far village." She said in one breath.
"No way, darling, you need to go through the forest to do that." Aria could feel his hot breath on her face, sweet like fruit and rich.
"So?"
"So, you will die." Raven scoffed and finally took a step back to let Aria breathe a bit.
"What do you mean?" Aria had only heard about the forest, but she wasn't sure what was the dangerous part.
"Look, darling, that forest is the 5 witches' territory. They bring back the dead, they will send a ghost after you and claim your soul." Raven had furrowed his brows, his voice deadpan. Aria let out a laugh and rolled her eyes.
"Are you serious? Aren't you exaggerating a bit?" She smiled, but her cheerful endeavor soon fell short when she saw that he was serious.
"So, how can I reach the village?" Aria gulped, her perfect little plan falling apart before she could even put it in action.
"You can't. Only by ship, but as a runaway? Yeah, you are better off dead, hun." Raven smirked and looked at Aria, whose blood had been drained from her face. She was ready to cry, and she couldn't feel her legs. She felt the earth give way and she almost fell had there not been Raven there to catch her.
"Are you okay?" his sentence was cut off by a deep wail, one that Aria couldn't keep to herself any longer.
"I need to-" Aria cried out; her words all jumbled together.
"I need to get away from that monster." She sunk to her knees, the harsh leaves and branches digging to her skin. She touched Raven's arm and grabbed his cloak in a fist. Her tears would not stop falling, her head light.
"Please, please kill him." She begged, burying her face to his chest.
"I do not want to feel him inside me again." The words escaped her mouth before she could even think. That strange man had a way of making her feel safe, he was impossible to resist. He was warm and familiar; maybe that was his gift.
Raven shuffled uneasily; his movements robotic. He didn't know what to do with this woman crying on his chest. He could feel her warmth, her every tear. There was no way that was the same woman as the one he had seen yesterday, standing tall at her wedding.
"So, you want me to kill him and take his throne." Raven pieced everything together and sighed. It was an unreasonable request. He had known Ellian since he was younger, he was fated to be a good king to his people.
"Please, I will give you everything I have, please kill him." Aria cried out like a wounded animal.
"Darling, I cannot do that. He is Oceana's king, the one fated to rule this kingdom." Raven muttered, his voice loud enough for only her to hear.
Aria was left puzzled, her tears streaming down her cheeks. This man was useless to her if he couldn't help her escape or kill Ellian. Was her fate really the one of a child bearer? A pleasure toy?
"It's my gift, darling. I know who someone is fated to be." Raven smiled through his teeth.
"What about me then? Who will I be?" Aria looked at him through her tears, hopeful to listen to something that would put her mind at ease. Raven took a moment before he answered, his eyes dark and unreadable.
"A queen." He answered half-heartedly and looked away for the first time.
Aria couldn't stop thinking about Raven. Everything about him was so comforting, there was some kind of pull, like a red thread of fate pulling her to him. His eyes were especially beautiful and the one thing she couldn't stop picturing all night long.
She tossed and turned throughout the whole night ever since she got back to the castle and into her room. The city was as vibrant as ever, even in the middle of the night when she was returning. The king's death had spread like wildfire to the people, most of them celebrating the end of the tyrant.
Aria wasn't really bothered by his death. He was just one less obstacle. The problem was Ellian and his twisted mind that only viewed her as a plaything. She couldn't wait to find a way to leave him. Raven was no good if he refused to kill him.
Her only chance was the first plan; running away. But this time the plan had to be altered so she could leave by the ship to the village and not walk there. Her next course of action was to find someone to make her fake papers so she could get a ticket.
The first birds started chirping and rays of sunlight slowly entered the room. She had forgotten to close the curtains, but even if she had it would make no difference as she was awake already. She rose from the bed and looked outside the window. It was a really beautiful view of the yard, with the many bushes and flowers.
Her mind traveled back to her childhood, when she would run around the barren yard of Celenial's castle with Zaya. She realized that she missed her, she had been her best friend throughout the years, even though they had been born as natural enemies. Aria had been the one to be born first and everyone in the castle would whisper about her since she could remember. She had also heard strange rumors of Zaya's mother, the queen, punching her stomach to give birth to Zaya after she had heard the news of Aria's mother going into labor.
Aria laughed bitterly as she remembered her name being associated with the words 'bastard princess'. She had been the first-born of the king, the daughter of a maid that he had an affair with, who died shortly after giving birth to her. Aria wondered how different her life would have been, had she just been born a kid of a peasant family in Oceana.
She backtracked from the window and tightened her robe around her. It was especially cold, maybe because it was early morning. She got out of her room and tried to search for her maids, but to no avail they were nowhere to be found. After a while, she gave up and went straight to the kitchen, her stomach rumbling.
The kitchen was quite lively for the time that it was. There were many cooks and maids all doing their part; fresh croissants and pastries, smashing fruit from the yard to make marmalades and stirring huge pots of cream to add to everything. Everything smelled delicious.
One of the maids noticed her and bowed before her.
"My queen, we are all so happy that you graced us with your presence." Everyone followed suit, leaving whatever they were doing to bow deeply.
"Please, go on with everything you are doing, I would love to taste them for breakfast." Aria smiled and everyone's mood lightened. They started working faster and more cheerfully, eager for the queen to taste their delicacies. One of the maids that was not making anything approached Aria.
"My queen, let me help you to the table." She bowed and extended her hand for Aria to follow her to the large dining area where the royal family had their every meal. She motioned Aria to sit down and quickly spread the tablecloth and placed the plates and cutlery. Everything was sparkly clean and shining.
"Please, I will bring you everything at once." The woman disappeared back into the kitchen and while she was gone, Aria noticed a small movement with the corner of her eye.
She turned to look and there he was, Ior, Ellian's brother, looking at her from behind the wall. Aria smiled and waved at him, at which he waved back and cheerfully inched closer.
"You are my brother's wife, you're pretty," was the first thing that left Ior's lips as soon as he came closer and smiled proudly.
"Well, thank you, you adorable prince." Aria chuckled and looked at him from up close. He was the polar opposite of Ellian, cheerful and sweet, with black hair and eyes. His front tooth was missing, but he didn't seem to care as his smile was reaching his ears. Aria wondered where Ellian had gone astray, but then realized that life had always been difficult for the first-borns; he sympathized a bit with him, he probably had to step up as an adult from a very young age.
As soon as Aria realized what she was thinking she shook her head. That man was a monster, someone that deserved to die. She also had a bad upbringing, but she didn't go around assaulting people. She hated him, and that wouldn't change. She needed him dead.
"Hey, hey, you okay?" Ior's tapping on her thigh brought her back to the present and she relaxed her face. The boy was looking at her hair with much fascination.
"Your hair is like fire!" He exclaimed and threw his hands in the air laughing.
"You are a handsome young man yourself." Aria laughed back and reached to grab the boy and place him on her legs. Ior hummed happily and swayed back and forth, playing with the forks.
At that moment, the maids came out from the kitchen with the freshly baked pastries. The smell was spreading throughout the hall, a buttery delight of vanilla and strawberry.
"Young prince, please sit at your seat." One maid said in a harsh tone to Ior, and he threw his tiny hands around Aria, refusing to let go.
"It's okay, we will eat together." Aria smiled and patted Ior's head. She ruffled his hair and brought the plates closer to the edge of the table to he could eat with ease.
She didn't bother using any cutlery, she just grabbed a croissant with her bare hands and devoured it. Those last few days had been torture for her, so she had forgotten to eat, but after her meeting with Raven yesterday, and the fresh air hitting her face, she had gotten her appetite back.
"Do you like it?" Aria asked Ior that was devouring a cream and marmalade pastry, his mouth filled with strawberry jam and crumbs.
"Yesh, sho goow," Ior spoke in between bites, his mouth too full to make sense of what he was saying.
Just then, Ellian stepped inside, his hair matted and eyes dark. He seemed tired, as if he hadn't slept a wink the previous night. Compared to Aria, who also hadn't slept but was energized, he was barely standing.
He just looked at Aria and Ior eating with a cold stare but didn't say anything. He turned around and left, probably going back to their room. Aria wondered where he had been the whole night, but she soon forgot about his existence.
She looked at Ior and prayed for him to always stay this happy.
