FGDHS My autism makes me very interested in mental illness and addiction, and as someone whose entire family is full of people with addictive personalities, I really just. Felt compelled to add such things to a more serious story like HEA. Angelo and his story is so precious to me and I really want him (and his brothers) to feel realistic in their unhealthy coping mechanisms and reactions to PTSD.

thinking about faith dean and the touch of men and everything has a price, everything has a cost...this man lays his hands on dean to heal him but that touch is not free and that touch is not pure, someone else is going to die because of that hand, that touch is keeping a reaper captive and that touch will suck the lifeforce out of an innocent man, a gay man is going to give his heart to dean, so that dean can live, and dean doesn’t want this stolen heart and the guilt will eat him alive, and there is a man touching him and saying it’s salvation, there is man touching him and saying it is god’s hand. but all he knows about touch is corruption and all he knows about touch is filth and shame and phantom fingerprints that he can never scrub off. and it’s all he’ll know for a long time until one hand touches him with nothing but celestial light, leaves behind a tangible mark in the shape of a handprint seared into his flesh with reverence and this touch came from no man, this is the touch of an angel and it is good and it is pure and it reaches down to his very core and this touch saves him and no one has to trade their life for it, and these hands of light rebuild him, this touch is not the hand of god and all of heaven revolt from this one holy touch, the cry a chorus of “CORRUPTION!” but this touch is good and these are the only hands he ever lets on his body without flinching for the rest of his life, these are the hands he holds and the hands he reaches for even when his angel is not himself, even when those hands are being used to kill him, he knows their true nature he knows these hands are good so he leans into that touch, he bends toward outstretched fingers and open palms and knows it is good
