Normal world au where Fushimi is jealous that Misaki thinks Mikoto is cool and tries to "compete" in his own way. He tries to be better at doing the things Mikoto does that Misaki thinks is great but not only does it not work but Misaki either doesn't react the way Fushimi wants to or Misaki doesn't notice at all. He ends up feeling not good enough and that maybe he should just give up on Misaki. Munakata decides to help him when he finds out (plus Munakata maybe likes Mikoto himself so...)
Somehow my first thought was 'wait, what even are the things Mikoto is good at' XD Imagine like normal AU, Fushimi and Yata have just entered high school. All through middle school it was just the two of them but then in high school Yata ends up getting caught up with this group called Homra, led by a senior named Suoh Mikoto. Homra is like this delinquent group that hangs out together after school and sometimes they get into fights and such, Yata thinks this is the coolest and that Suoh Mikoto is so amazing. Naturally Fushimi is not quite as excited as Yata is, he doesn't really care about his reputation or anything like that but seeing Yata staring at someone else with shining eyes makes him feel irritated and on edge.
Fushimi decides that the best way to handle this is to show that he's superior to Mikoto, like Mikoto's just an upperclassman anyway and he's clearly not anyone that impressive, Fushimi feels like he should easily be able to show off how much cooler he is than that punk. Except imagine Fushimi just failing at all these things because what Yata thinks is cool about Mikoto is like totally opposite of what he thinks is cool about Saruhiko, like Mikoto's this awesome guy who never looks like anything bothers him and he can punch people super hard and look at how he's breaking the rules and smoking all the time at school. Fushimi attempts to try a cigarette and ends up coughing and choking while Yata runs over and pounds on his back and it's very not cool. Fushimi then tries to punch a guy during one of Homra's brawls, not strategically or using weapons like he normally does, and instead just ends up with a sore hand and he doesn't even knock the guy down. Imagine Fushimi looking at Mikoto one day as Mikoto's like sleeping in a classroom and thinking how the hell does Misaki think this guy is cooler than him, like what is Fushimi even supposed to do to get Yata's eyes on him if Fushimi can't even beat this loser.
Fushimi doesn't really like admitting when he's lost but obviously he's irritated and getting down on himself, like if Mikoto's worthless than clearly Fushimi's even more worthless and he should just give up on Misaki entirely. Class is nearly ready to start and Fushimi doesn't feel like going, he slips into an empty room and just sits on the floor muttering to himself. That's when someone comes up beside him all 'It seems you could use some advice, Fushimi-kun.' Fushimi starts and jumps to his feet, not understanding how he didn't even realize this guy was in the room with him. Class President Munakata Reisi beams at him and Fushimi demands to know how Munakata knew his name, Munakata pushes up his glasses as he says of course he knows the name of a talented underclassman. Fushimi clicks his tongue at the 'talented,' muttering under his breath that he can't be that talented or he could defeat 'that guy.' Munakata says he's been observing Fushimi and believes he could be of help. Fushimi's skeptical and Munakata notes that Suoh Mikoto has been something of a 'project' for him since middle school, Munakata intends to turn Suoh into a functioning student no matter how hard he must work. However he's had difficulty keeping Suoh on task as of late due to a Yata Misaki often being present, and therefore Munakata believes their objectives may be aligned. (Fushimi's all like '….so you actually have a crush on Mikoto-san?' and Munakata's glasses shine all dangerously like 'absolutely not,' he just wants to make Suoh into a proper student and assure he graduates and maybe pin him down in a classroom eventually and get very close to him).
Hijinks then ensue as Munakata decides that he is going to assist Fushimi-kun in showing Yata Misaki how superior Fushimi is to Suoh Mikoto. Fushimi kinda suspects this is a bad idea when Munakata's first suggestion involves him joining the Student Council, like this feels very ulterior motive and Munakata assures him that Munakata's cause is pure. Munakata decides that with his training Fushimi will become someone so superior that Yata Misaki will surely be charmed by him, except this training involves things like memorizing ancient haiku and learning how to do 10000 piece puzzles in five minutes. Fushimi's beginning to suspect that Munakata is just making him less cool than Mikoto, like do you even understand what cool is. Meanwhile though Yata's been noticing that Fushimi's spending an awful lot of time with the student council president and it's not like he's jealous but if that guy makes one wrong move towards Saruhiko Yata's gonna kick his ass. Even as Yata's thinking that imagine Munakata gets right up in Fushimi's personal space and Yata ends up breaking in the door, suddenly incensed without even really knowing why. Munakata is amused that Yata is so intense, moving even closer to Fushimi as he speaks, and Yata gets all flustered and is like anyway what are you doing to Saruhiko. Munakata leans right down so his face is inches from Fushimi's, Fushimi glaring at him like what are you even doing and Yata ends up blurting out 'Saruhiko is mine, okay?!' as Munakata's like mission accomplished.

When will you update the fanfic whiskey in a teacup🙏 Its well missed
I'm surprised (in a super good, heartwarming way) that you guys still ask about it. It's been on hiatus for about 6 months now, and I'm really sorry for the delay.
I've been incredibly busy, but I'll try to find time to update it soon. The story has become more demanding than I originally expected, and I don't want to post just to "keep it going" with endless fillers that would detract from the story.
Mello is trying to reach his goal but is conflicted about his feelings for the reader, and she has her own challenges to overcome as well. They both need to resolve their individual issues to be together, and I want to execute this well. I aim to keep him as in-character as possible, which is really challenging in a romance story. I've accepted that the Mello I’ve developed might be a bit out of character, which leads to a lot of asks (that I frankly just delete bc ugh, get a life?) criticizing my portrayal, as if those commenters know him personally.
Anyway, my experience in the fandom has been mixed lately, which is unmotivating and mostly disappointing. But I appreciate your support and interest, and I hope to post the next chapter soon!
ily!!! take care 💜💜

a while ago someone suggest to me to start reading the Percy Jackson books because I can't stand even the sight of Harry Potter's ones anymore (I'll give the Hogwarts' train Lego set I have been gifted a few years back to my baby cousin in a few weeks) and it's still bothering me because they were a huge part of my teens (started reading them at 14) and my comfort books (they have been ejected from my library together with her other books and I only have to find the will to fully separate myself from them, which is not frigging easy for a bookworm).
they're good. Rick Riordan knows how to write. I kind of miss reading the parts were Percy actually learn how to use his powers but I have to plan the start of a new book because, if I start too late, then it's a 2am bedtime for me (or a use of very strong will).
unfortunately, even if they're good, they will not do the trick of allowing my mind to completely substitute them (when something got integrate in your mind during your formative years, it stays there. not so much with late stuff). luckily though, I got back into Doctor Who a while back and that does the trick better. not when I'm in the mood for reading though (which is like... now. yes, I have my periods. tv shows period is over, it's book time. I guess the next one will be comic books or DIY).
maybe I should finish the Septimus Heap saga (that I started in Italian few years back but they didn't finish translating them, so I should started again in English, which I can do, but it bothers me because I'm an autistic mess xD).
I should also probably finally reading Our Dark Matters in English, the latest two books of Avatar or the 30+ books that are waiting to be read in my queue xD

I love how vastly different June and Levi are and how their relationships with Enver differ in so many ways.
If Levi is a guy believing he is equal to gods, then June is, at his core, a prodigal follower.
It's a pattern he doesn't break out of even as he betrays his father for Selune. Gortash didn't manage to shake this part of him, only created a push, allowing June chose a god other than Bhaal (i.e. June didn't want Enver to die, realized he didn't want to die himself and entered a pact-like relationship with the Lady of Silver to prevent these two things from happening.)
The hardest thing for him is to go back on his word/dismantle the existing alliance. His mortal flaw is loyalty, blind loyalty.
So at some point his story comes to a crossroads.
He can either reaffirm his alliance with Gortash, unknowingly dooming him a Gortash himself, not to mention death of Duke Ravengard and many other casualities.
In this scenario Gortash dies from the psyonic command of the Nether Brain and June becomes the hero of Baldur's Gate and the new archduke.
Which sounds fun and games until you realize it also includes him becoming a new Chosen of Bane, because June might have learned how to break out of his father's chains, but he doesn't know what to do with himself and, after his and Selune's ways part, is an easy prey for gods with less than honorable plans.
The other road comes with stabbing Gortash in the back, metaphorically speaking. It includes the wicked choice of putting a tadpole into his head and making him cooperate because "oh, but I can just relinquish the protection astral prism bestows on you. I am sure you'll love being Elder Brain's thrall".
It's a choice what leaves absolutely everyone (well, not EVERYONE) horrified because not only they did not expect that from June, but also looking how pleased June is with himself by walking Gortash into the corner opens their eyes to the fact what he is not, in fact, a hero. He was a villain in the past and some of this past still lingers, even more after Selune's cold soothing light has left.
And, ridiculously, it's the choice what saves everyone; gondians, Ravengard, Karlach, Gortash himself.

Diff anon about Louis career. I agree to all your points but I also want to say my problem with his promo so far has not been about chart success/streaming numbers at all. It's just that they made close to none effort to expand his fanbase. Soccer Am, Le resistance were a very welcome addition. But other than that especially in US none. And if as louis says he wants to make 5 albums and tour for 10 years, it's impossible with his current fanbase. A fanbase where majority of them throw a fit if he simply mentions his kid or others who like to criticize his every career move. Like there's too much friction. Majority these ppl are going to get exhausted one day and simply leave cuz let's be real he is never no longer going to fit in their theories. He/his team have way too much faith in this fickle fandom. It's not sustainable.
I just want him to have some casual fans. Outside of this nonsense. Who got no interest in his personal life but are just happy with his music. Enough with larrie/rad/ solos can he just have louies instead.
See, I don't think that's strictly true--I very much think he can and will bring in new people, casual fans, and you know how I know? Because he's literally doing it, lol, and maybe they aren't millions of people coming to him from my dentist's office playlist, but they are coming in, albeit in smaller numbers and with a delayed start and from different vectors. I think he and his team know what they're doing, I think they *have* made the effort to expand his fanbase (it's in the negative space, if you're asking me), and if their goal is to shed the ickier bits of his current fanbase, the whingey ones who can't handle the concept of a kid or other facets of his life, then GOOD, shed away, my liege. He has name recognition for life, if he wanted to tour for the next twenty years based on his discography to date to a smaller crowd, sprinklin' in a new tune every now and again, he could, and quite easily (soooo many bands do that to this day). I think a lot of his fans need to face the fact that he's not Harry Styles, nor does he seem to want to be, that he's not going to have that level of crazy, nor does he seem to aspire to it. I also question if he really DOES want to be touring in ten years' time--he could change his mind, he could just be saying that to placate the nervous nells in his core base, but at the end of the day, he doesn't owe anyone the truth about where he'll be in a decade. Who among us even knows that for a fact for ourselves?

Imagine, Y/n eating too much sweets
Will Vader stop them?
-Artist anon
(my throat hurts after i ate 350 gram of chocolate, is that too much?)
NO ITS NOT TOO MUCH CHOCOLATE IS DELICIOUS
I can see Vader being passive about the whole thing, just throwing out a casual "do not overindulge", but thats about it. He likes seeing you enjoy your treats so he won't do much to stop your enjoyment of them
but he will be there to hold you and try and make you feel better if you feel sick afterwards
