Good morning!  I hope you slept well and feel rested?  Currently sitting in my study, attired only in my blue towelling robe, enjoying my first cuppa of the day.

As it was such a nice day – warmish, very blue skies, bit of cloud – I decided to record a new TikTok/Reels video but, while I was recording it, there was a huge gust of cold wind.  Yes, nice day but windy!  Can’t complain.  At least there was no rain.

It’s still cold at night, though, isn’t it?  Those bastard energy companies are going to be making a fortune out of me in April.  Greedy swines! 

Sometimes, you just want to watch fluff.  You know it’s fluff but it doesn’t matter because, sometimes, you just want something safe and predictable.  We watched a Kevin Hart movie on Saturday night called ‘Lift’.  ‘Mission Impossible’ meets ‘Oceans 11’, you catch the drift.  And, on Sunday night, we watched a 2008 Martin Lawrence movie called ‘Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins’.  Simple, sweet, innocent, non-taxing.  Pure entertainment.  Sometimes, it just hits the spot.  I don’t need films and shows that are gonna give me nightmares!  Life is nightmare enough!

My granddaughter said to me on Saturday, “When are we going to go on a family holiday?”  I laughed.  I think we all know how much family holidays cost!  If you’re Mum, Dad and child (or two kids), that’s expensive enough but, if the grandkids want to come too … well … time for another mortgage!  And who pays for everything?  Usually, the patriarch of the family, and that would be me!  Family holidays are no joke!  It might be cheaper to BUY a holiday home?  First world problems.

I’m doing two gigs this Sunday.  It’s going to be a blast!  So many beautiful people, I’ll be going selfie mad, as usual!  First, late afternoon at The White Lion in Streatham, then up the A1 for an evening set at Cinnabar in Stevenage.  I shall be grinning like a cheshire cat.  I love playing at those two places!  Such good vibes!  I think we’ll probably do lunch at The White Lion, as the food there is so good!

He was inducted into the St. Louis Walk of Fame.

He was the special guest host for WWE Raw on September 21, 2009.

He made his directorial debut with Dance Fu.

He appeared in the Broadway revival of American Buffalo.

He continues his involvement with his high school by awarding a scholarship each year to a graduating senior through the Cedric the Entertainer Charitable Foundation. He is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity. He was awarded an honorary doctorate in Fine Arts and Humanities by Lincoln University of Missouri. Happy 54th Birthday to Monique Hicks.

Born December 11, 1967, known professionally as Mo'Nique, she is an comedian and actress. She first gained recognition for her work in stand-up comedy, debuting as a member of The Queens of Comedy. In 2002, she received a Grammy Award nomination for Best Comedy Album.

Mo'Nique began her transition into mainstream film and television having a starring role as Nicole "Nikki" Parker in the UPN series The Parkers from 1999 to 2004, as well as having roles in films such as Phat Girlz in 2006 and Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins in 2008.

In 2009, she garnered critical acclaim for her performance in the film Precious, for which she won numerous awards, including the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress, becoming the fourth African American woman to win the award.

Quarantine and Chill (AU)

Haleigh stalled going to answer the door for her best friend. Ever since she seen him wrapped in his towel she didn't know how to act. This was Braceface. Braces. Needed a shapeup. Sounded like a powerpuff girl. Scrawny.

Now him in the towel changed everything. She noticed the change in him before she seen him in his towel but she could deal with that. Deal with the deep voice. Deal with him getting muscular. She can deal with all that but now she felt like she crossed a line.

It didn't help matters none that Chenice kept asking her about it. She couldn't look him in the face without having to blush. He wasn't helping matters none always wanting to be next to her. After 15 minutes of stalling and talking to herself, she decided to go answer the door.

She slid her feet slowly to the door wanting to prolong time. When she reached the door she inhaled and exhaled before opening the door. Ardian had an amused look on his face when he came face to face with Haleigh.

Haleigh's eyes went to his lips and it stayed on them before Ardian cleared his throat. Shaking her head she looked in his eyes and fought the blush that wanted to hit her cheeks.

"Hey Ardi."

"What's good? I could come in?"

Haleigh shook her head moving to the side so Ardian can come in. Breathe Haleigh. Breathe Haleigh. Just breathe Haleigh. She closed the door behind her and locked it.

Ardian had made himself comfortable on the sofa sitting with his arms stretched out and legs open. That was the way he usually sat. Haleigh walked the other way to keep from walking in front of him. She sat on the far end of the sofa avoiding his stare.

"This is what we doing now? Avoiding each other?"

Haleigh mumbled something which made Ardian chuckle.

"Pigtails, how long you going to act like this?"

Haleigh shrugged still avoiding his stare. Ardian moved closer to her. He grabbed her chin and made turned her face towards his and once again her eyes went straight to his lips. After staring for what felt like an hour Haleigh finally looked Ardian in his eyes.

"Pigtails, I'm still the same person. Nothing has changed. Stop acting funny around me."

"How can you be so calm?"

"Cause you pigtails. We stuck together until this quarantine is over with. I'm still the same Ardi."

"Its just going to take some time to getting used to that you no longer Braceface."

"I'm still Braceface. I'm always going to be Braceface. I got Norbit and I got our usual snacks."

"Can we watch Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins afterward?"

"Yeah we can."

Haleigh smiled finally and kissed Ardian on his cheek which made him blush. Shaking his head, Ardian got comfortable once again and Haleigh moved next to him laying her head on his chest. An hour into the movie Chenice and Morgan walked in.

"The Naked Best friends!"

Haleigh blushed and Ardian mumbled as he said hello to Morgan and Chenice.

"Chenice! Leave them. She's sorry."

"No I'm not! Now how long before Haleigh finally makes a move and jump on him?"

Haleigh groaned covering her face while Ardian shook his head a small smirk on his face.

"Can we finish our movie?"

"Oooooo what we watching? You have enough snacks for us?"

"We watching Norbit and yes I have enough snacks for you and Morgan."

Chenice squealed making herself comfortable sitting inbetween Ardian and Haleigh while Morgan sat on the other side of Haleigh. Ardian moved to the end of sofa, him and Haleigh would make eye contact every few minutes each smiling at each other.
