i actually have a lot of stories i could tell about the shitty people i used to hang out with just because i was desperate to talk to somebody. there was a guy (who i had many encounters with) who was in one of my gym classes along with a girl i knew. gym class was hell, obviously, so the three of us hung out because we were all trying to make it out alive. the girl was kind of annoying but she was also going through a lot at the time and i had multiple classes with her at the time so i spent a lot of time just hanging with her and listening to her vent. she and the guy didn't know each other previously, but as we hung out more he confided in me that he had a crush on her. i knew from her constant barrage of information that she was already in a relationship and i told him as much, which he was fairly neutral towards. they never came to anything that i know of. a year went by, and when school started up again, the girl was nowhere to be found. she was even supposed to be in one of my classes, but she never showed up. i was worried about her, because i figured it had something to do with all the shit she had been going through last time i talked to her. the next time i saw the dude, i asked him if he had seen her around at all. he said, "who?"

The defintion of hell is knowing a show is incredibly well-received in its first season, but if people don’t become machines churning out tweets, content, and rewatching 24/7, there’s no likelihood it’ll get a chance to tell its whole story. This shit is madness. Shows in different genres shouldn’t have to pit-battle for dominance. First seasons are MEANT to be baselines establishing worlds and characters, not complete storylines. The idea that this golden age of television has turned into “get it done in one or get out” is revolting.

idk i keep posting and deleting about this cause i can't get my thoughts out properly i just. i'm tired. there was already a worsening problem of "socially acceptable" mental illness pushing out the rest of us (as it's always been) and now there's the top artist in the united states calling herself crazy, saying you should be scared of her, she was raised in an asylum, etc. and it's like.... that's my lived experience. medical doctors refuse to treat me because they're scared of my psychiatric disorders. i've had the cops called on me for episodes. i spent a decade rotting in the mental health system & institutions and i only got out after years of planning how to get away. and so much more i cant even put into words.

and now not only are y'all using folk like me & our experiences for the aesthetic. you're not even a decent human being to those of us who have actually lived through this shit. idk man. really rubs me the wrong way.
