full kook - jj maybank
req- reader x jj (can you tell i’m a jj stan?) where the reader is full on kook but unlike sarah jj hates her and doesn’t want her to be a part of pouge life where she fits in and he’s constantly bullying her to where even sarah has to say something but it’s to late because now she’s full kook again until midsummer where she helps him out with topper and they become bf and gf
a/n- i love this rq... sm. also out of order, sarah befriends the pogues before the midsummer party. also y/n is kinda a bitch in this at the beginning srry
w/c- 4.704 (oops...)
tw- swears, rafe and topper being dicks.. thats it i think idrk
Tumblr media
sarah cameron and y/n y/l/n were kook princesses. they took orders from nobody, and were definitely the two most popular girls on the island. they had been best friends since birth, and nothing could separate them.
well, except for a group of pogues. y/n never understood sarah's infatuation with them, though to an extent, she did. they could do whatever they want without fear of disappointing their parents. thats all y/n cared about. her parents. not money, of course sarah but other than that.. she didn’t need anybody.
“sarah, you’re crazy.” y/n huffed, legs crossed. one eyebrow was raised, but other than that y/n looked immensely bored. sarah had gone mia yesterday, and it turned out she was hanging out with a group of poges. “topper will kill you,” the girl sang, a smug look on her face.
“i don’t care what he thinks! with him i’m.. free.” sarah said dreamily, falling beside y/n on the bed.
“with him you’re a crackie,” y/n snorted, standing up. “i’m just saying, they do nothing all day. how is that entertaining?” her arms folded over her chest, sarah sitting up as she said that.
“they go on boat rides. they drink. i know you like that,” sarah winked, catching y/ns attention. “you’d fit right in. you love all the stuff they do, drinking, drugs, surfing..” she rambled.
“even if i were to meet them, which i will not, they wouldn’t like me. my reputation is worse than yours,” y/n chuckled, sitting on the hardwood floor to slide on a pair of sandals. “anyway, theres no chance kiara would want me there.”
it was true, kiara and y/n ended on the same note kiara and sarah did.
“kie and i made up,” sarah mumbled.
“oh she’s kie now? thats convenient.” y/n rolled her eyes, standing and grabbing her bag. “you know, as much as i hate being a kook.. i wouldn’t just switch up like that.” she was mad, venom in her words. who knew if sarah would leave her for the pogues? whos to say she doesn’t?
“just. one day? i’ll bring you tomorrow and i’ll show you what it’s like.” sarah begged, grabbing y/ns hand and she closed the pocket in the bag. y/n rolled her eyes.
“fine. i’ll be here at 10.” y/n pulled her arm away quickly, leaving the room and going downstairs to start her short walk home.
y/n woke up around 8, taking a quick shower and brushing her teeth. as her hair dried, she dried her body and changed out of her pajamas into a pair of light-wash jean shorts and a cropped tee. she sat at her bureau, applying light mascara and chapstick. by the time 9:30 rolled around, y/n left her house and started her walk to sarah's house. she knocked on the door, getting met with rafe’s face.
“oh, goodmorning.” rafe opened the door wider, getting stopped by sarah.
“you’re gonna let bugs in,” sarah muttered, leading y/n to her car where they started their drive to the cut.
“do they know im coming?” y/n’s lips pursed, turning to look at her blonde best friend. sarah nodded, stopping the car once they came to the chateau.
“john b and kie do.. jj and pope don’t.” sarah clarified, stepping out of the car and leading y/n with her. she opened the door, showing y/n the tight room.
y/n looked around, heart suddenly speeding up. they stepped onto the porch, conversations cutting short suddenly. everybody looked from sarah to y/n, making both girls suddenly uncomfortable.
“oh good. two kooks,” jj muttered, not quietly. john b slapped his arm, finally standing and offering a smile at the girl. he took y/n’s hand, shaking it firmly.
“i’m john b. sarahs, um. boyfriend,” john b smiled, trying to be friendly.
“oh, you’re john b. sarah has good taste.” y/n smirked, giving him a sly wink before looking towards her best friend who was now flushed a light pink.
“anyway,” sarah cut them off before anything could happen. “thats pope, hes smart, thats kiara, who you know and.. thats jj.” she didn’t have anything to say about jj, who was leaned back with his arms cross. he tsked, sitting up.
“so what does another kook princess want? here to spy?” jj spoke with venom, eyes raking up and down the girl.
y/n shrugged, taking a seat beside, but still a distance away from kiara. “sarah here says you guys are more fun than you seem, and i don’t believe her.” her arms crossed around her chest, leaning back in the way jj had done before.
“well, before this escalates,” pope cut the two off from an argument being sprung up, “i’d say we’re pretty fun. you like boat rides? surfing?” he was guessing in his head both of these would be a no, looking at kiara who seemed uneasy at the thought of having another one of her ex-best friends here. he rested his hand on her thigh, making her smile carefully.
“i surf sometimes. not as much as i used to when i was younger, i’d say twice or three times a month.” y/n shrugged, legs crossing. this got everybody's attention, asking her about surfing and what else she does.
everybody except jj.
-
months led on and y/n had soon slowly joined the group on their daily shenanigans. she hung out with them almost everyday, but still spent time with her family and just sarah alone. it was obvious y/n fit it. jj never came around to the thought of y/n, even though she seemed to be very interested in him.
sarah and y/n were laying on y/ns bed, talking mindlessly about whatever.
“so like, why does jj hate me?” y/n wondered out loud, turning so she was laying on her side, facing sarah. sarah shrugged, facing y/n on her side.
“i don’t know. i think you’re to hot for him,” sarah giggled, punching the girls shoulder.
y/n laughed, face heating up. “to hot for him? i mean, come on. look at him,” she let out a breathy sigh, falling onto her back again. her arm was laid over her chest lazily, eyes closing.
“why do you ask? do you like him?” sarah teased, sitting up and fixing her hair. y/n stayed quiet. sarah gasped, suddenly freaking out. “holy shit! you do!!” she squealed, pulling y/n up and hugging her so tight y/n forgot how to breathe.
“look, it isn’t that big. i’ll get over it soon.” y/n shrugged away from the girl, standing up and stretching. “lets head to the chateau now, yeah?” she helped pull sarah up, who nodded quietly and they both slid on their shoes.
the pair walked out to sarah’s white jeep, driving to the chateau in the midst of summer. “so, y/n.” sarah broke the silence, rolling down the windows. the fresh air from figure 8 filled the car, which smelt solely like suntan lotion and salt water. “you going to the midsummer?” she asked, steering the car slowly into the cut.
y/n groaned at the mention of it, rolling her eyes. “wish i wasn’t. but it’s fine, it’s in two weeks.” she shrugged, trying to shake off the thought of it. they pulled into the driveway, stepping out at the same time and entering the small space. they spoke about whatever came to mind, conversation cutting short as they stepped onto the porch. “hey guys,” y/n greeted, a warm smile on her face.
she had changed since she had met the group, now not turning a cold shoulder whenever she met a pogue when she was walking.
“hey girls,” pope grinned, holding a red solo cup. his legs were crossed, kie taking the seat that jj normally sat in. sarah waved, moving quickly to sit beside her boyfriend. this left jj and y/n. y/n watched jj’s face contort with disgust, moving closer to the arm.
“somebody wanna switch seats?” jj muttered, making y/n roll her eyes.
“good to see you too, buttercup.” y/n popped the p, sitting down as far away from jj as possible.
“don’t call me that,” jj hissed, not even facing the girl as he spoke. “i’d rather not sit next to the bitch,” he mumbled that one more quiet, catching y/n off guard. sure, jj always made fun of her but he never called her anything.
kie cleared her throat, before y/n could stand up to jj. “boat ride today?” she smiled awkwardly at y/n, who’s eyebrows were currently furrowed. the group let a chorus of ‘yes’ and ‘sure’s out. they grabbed their cooler, y/n stopping jj before he could get onto the boat.
“can we talk?” y/n’s arms crossed, putting her weight more on one of her feet than the other.  jj nodded, rolling his eyes as he followed the girl closer to the house. “why do you hate me?” she questioned, looking the taller up-and-down.
“because,” jj scoffed, like it was obvious, “you’re a bitch. you’re insanely bossy, you’re rude and expect everything to be handed to you. you can’t do shit alone, yet everybody still bows down to you. you’re a fucking kook.” he snapped, walking past the girl and pushing her shoulder roughly to make her fall.
y/n fell onto her ass, wincing as a rock went into the back of her thigh. “motherfucker,” she hissed, catching the boy’s attention. “you’re a bitch, you’re just mad that i won’t sleep with you.”
jj stopped, turning and facing the girl. “oh yeah? thats why. keep telling yourself that.” he smirked, turning and continuing his walk.
“tell sarah i won’t be joining you.” y/n yelled, wiping her eye as she pulled the rock out of her thigh. she stood, turning and stomping away. jj didn't stop her. he stepped onto the boat, obviously pissed.
“she left,” jj sunk into his seat, reaching into the cooler to grab a beer. the group stopped talking, facing jj. he shrugged, rolling his eyes. “she was being bitchy so she left.”
“what’d you say?” sarah’s face turned a light red as she started to get angry, using one hand to shield her eyes from the sun.
“she asked why i hated her so i was honest. told her she was a bitch,” jj spoke with ease, leaning back and ignoring the burning stares from his friends.
-
it had been two weeks since the group, except sarah, had seen y/n. they all were worried, but at least knowing she was alive from sarah made them feel better. it was two days before the midsummer party, and sarah came knocking loudly on the y/l/n home. opening the door was y/n, hair curled as she wore a short skirt and a white crop-top to match. a kook outfit.
“y/n? is that you?” sarah joked, stepping into the house. y/n quirked an eyebrow, looking the girl up and down.
“well? what do you need?” y/n spoke in a monotone voice, arms crossed as they usually were. under the outfit she wore a bikini, eyes glancing at the surfboard behind sarah.
“oh, i was gonna ask if you wanted to join me and..” sarah trailed off, still speaking but y/n cut her off.
“no.” y/n shrugged, now pushing past the blonde to grab her surfboard. she dusted off some sand from it, hearing it land on the tiled flooring. she kicked some of it away, picking up the board under her arm. “look, im flattered you want me there,” she teased, leading herself out the door and soon sarah followed. “but i’m wear i should be. figure 8. a kook,” y/n shrugged, walking down the sidewalk towards the beach.
“y/n-” sarah chased the girl down the sidewalk, grabbing her shoulder rough enough to make her stop. “we miss you,” she spoke softly, careful not to provoke the girl even more. though that failed.
“okay, i don’t really care. look, i’m meet somebody i have to go,” y/n hissed, turning a cold shoulder quickly.
“who?” sarah continued following y/n, making her groan and turn again.
“holy shit. topper? okay? is that alright if i have friends, ms. kook?” y/n yelled, dropping the board on the ground. “you never gave a shit when jj was talking shit about me to my fucking face, why do you care now? huh?”
sarah wasn’t used to these outbursts, taking a step back with her hand close to her chest.
y/n scoffed, turning and rolling her eyes. “just what i thought,” she muttered, grabbing the board again and continuing her walk to the beach. this time, sarah didn’t chase her. she just watched in silence, wondering when her best friend became a kook.
y/n made her way to the beach, sliding off the sandals she wore and looking around for the kook boy. she waited for around an hour, surfing in the water to keep her calm. by the time the sky had become golden, she knew she got stood up.
marching her way back to her house, y/n held her head high until she slammed her bedroom door shut. sobs raked the girls body, tears running down her cheeks onto her shirt until it was thoroughly soaked. she held her face in her hands, wondering how in the span of two weeks she managed to get her heartbroken by the guy she had been hung up on for months, and then by a rich asshat.
sulking to her bed, y/n flopped down and shut her eyes. hoping that if she slept, by the time midsummer came around she would be to numb to care.
-
y/n slipped the tight, yellow dress, over her hips and smiled to herself. the buttercup color paired flawlessly with her skin, hair pulled back into a low bun. she only wore mascara and lipgloss, and a pair of white sandals as her shoes.
y/n entered the car with her family, staying silent during the ride. she knew sarah and kie would be there, but she didn’t have to enter with a date unlike sarah. she slipped out of the car, quickly leaving her parents behind her as she made her way through the crowd. she disappeared into the back yard, looking for topper to give him a piece of her mind,
kiara noticed y/n first, biting the inside of her cheek before going towards her. she put her hand on y/n’s shoulder, making the girl jump. she turned, facing kiara and her stomach dropped.
“oh, hey..” y/n muttered, scratching the back of her neck as awkwardness settled in the air between the two.
“hey. how you been?” kiara asked, hands on her hips now. y/n rolled her eyes, suddenly gaining her confidence back.
“good. great actually, y’know?” y/n sarcastically smiled turning and cutting the conversation short. kiara scoffed, turning and going back to where sarah and pope were.
“she’s acting like a kook,” kie complained, rolling her eyes. sarah bit the inside of her cheek, staying quiet. “what?” kie noticed the look on her face, turning and looking at the girl.
“i was afraid she was gonna do this. every time somebody says something to her about acting to much like a pogue she freaks out.” sarah muttered, leaving the group in search of the girl.
instead, sarah bumped into jj, who was dressed as a waiter. he smiled, offering the girl a drink. “um, vlad?” jj grinned, trying to blend in. “john b told me to give you this,” the boy whispered, trying to be discreet. even though sarah and john b saw each other daily, he still had jj do his work for him. sarah took the note and took jj’s hand, muttering a quiet ‘come with me’.
the two went to the back porch, where sarah blew up. “are you shittting me?” she hissed, pushing the boy back and catching her off guard.
“woah mama, chill.” jj joked, but stopped smiling once he saw the look on her face. “what? what’d i do?” now he was confused and concerned, not even fully knowing what he did.
“oh you never know.” sarah hissed, rubbing her hands onto her dress. her eyes caught toppers, both of them standing still as she stared into the eyes of her ex. she finally pulled away, sighing at jj. “y/n has gone full kook again,”
“damn, thats crazy. let me uh.. oh yeah. i don’t care.” jj shrugged, pushing past sarah. he ignored her calls, walking through the crowd. he bumped shoulders with y/n both giving each other a cold glare before continuing their walk. neither of them could help the butterflies in their stomach as they touched, but they pushed them down and continued their (mild, on y/n’s part) hatred for each other.
y/n finally found topper, grabbing his arm with a pinch. he hissed, noticing who was holding his arm. “oh, y/n.” topper muttered, a bit confused on why she had suddenly dragged him through the crowd. y/n drug the boy into a somewhat empty room, except for a couple of parents mingling around.
“really?” y/n let his arm go, crossing her arms over her chest. topper shrugged, not knowing what she was talking about. in his hand that y/n wasn’t dragging he held a red solo cup. taking a long sip, he rocked from foot to foot. “you ditched me. remember?” y/n huffed, anger coursing through her body. she wished she had a blunt right now, but of course she had gone full kook and didn’t feel like blowing a crazy amount of money for weed.
“oh yeah.” topper spoke nonchalantly, obviously not bothered by the girls anger.
y/n groaned, turning on her heel away from the boy. she wanted to scream, pushing through the crowd angrily. she found her way to her mom, tugging on her dress. “when are we leaving?”
her mom laughed, shooing the girl away. y/n rolled her eyes, seeing sarah dancing in the middle of the crowd. she bit her inner cheek, knowing if sarah was there the rest of the mystery gang would be there too. she craned her neck, looking around for topper before slowly making her way to sarah.
“um, hey.” y/n muttered, a feeling of self-pity dowsing the girl. sarah turned, taking in the girls state before responding.
“hey, whats up?” sarah slung her arm around the girl, smiling at the randoms in the crowd she didn’t know. they quickly made their way off the dance floor, sarah taking her arm off of her.
y/n shrugged, not making eye contact with the older. “hows everybody?” her voice was quiet, barely heard above the music. she rubbed her left arm with her hand, still not looking at sarah.
“good.” sarah was blunt, not on purpose but out of somewhat anger. she got blown off many times by the girl, just for her to come crawling back. like always.
y/n nodded, finally looking at sarah. “i’m sorry, i always do this. i always do dumb shit and come right back,” she chuckled, looking away from sarah again.
sarah wrapped her arms around her, “i’m used to it.” she joked quietly, just standing there and holding y/n. y/n pulled away after a moment, smiling at sarah again.
“wheres everybody else?” referring to the pogues, sarah shrugged.
“last i saw, jj went off being chased, kie and pope disappeared and john b.. isn’t here.” sarah said the last part with a sigh, eyes shutting momentarily before fluttering back open.
“jj?” y/n mumbled, more to herself. last she had seen of jj, they walked by each other with air so thick it would hard to be cut with a knife.
“yeah,” kie chimed in suddenly, using sarah as an armrest. “topper and rafe. i think kelce too,” she listed the people chasing the blonde, shrugging. “nothing to serious though. he probably just did something dumb and they got mad. they won’t beat him up now though.. i don’t think.”
y/n’s breath seemed to stop for a moment, breaking away from the group in a hurry. they called after her, but it seems pointless as she picked up the bottom of her dress and entered the huge building. she tripped occasionally over nothing, her breath never evening out. catching her breath outside of the bathrooms, she slid down the wall angrily. where the hell was he?
she slumped down the wall beside the bathrooms, her legs aching and telling her to stop. the door beside her swung open, revealing an old man who was seemingly very upset over the fact that boys are ‘always fighting’. this caught y/n’s attention, making her stand up quickly and slowly push the bathroom door open.
the first thing y/n heard was the sound of gasps as somebody tried to regain their breath, then she heard the voice of topper. “yeah, you like that?” he questioned in a threatening tone, and y/n watched him throw a punch as she rounded the corner. in the bathroom was topper, rafe and jj. jj’s body was limp, being held up by rafe as he got the shit beat out of him by topper. blood flew around the room, lip split and face bruising.
y/n bit the inside of her cheek, noticing rafe glance in her direction before dropping jj. “topper, lets split.” he mumbled, motioning to y/n. topper looked over, muttering something under his breath to rafe which got him to laugh.
“dont laugh, rafe, im sure your daddy wouldn't want to hear about your addiction.” y/n’s face was smug, arms crossing as she fully revealed herself. rafe’s eyes widened, grabbing toppers arm and dragging him out of the room quickly.
“this isn't over, pogue!” topper yelled as he was getting led out, the two boys scampering down the hall as fast as they could.
y/n rolled her eyes, going over to the limp boy as careful as she could. jj was conscious, but not by much. she grabbed his arm, feeling for a pulse and letting out a small sigh of relief. she let go of his arm quickly, shaking his shoulders. “hey, wake up.” she shook him more aggressively, making the boy groan and finally open his eyes. they noticed how close they were to each other, both of their faces flushing as she scurried away from each other. the air between the two was thick, neither speaking up.
“so, what happened?” y/n questioned after a while, meeting the boys eyes. jj shrugged, sitting up and trying not to crush his ribs. he winced, hand going to his side as he leaned against the wall behind him.
“sarah said how topper ditched you and i don’t know, shitty move.” jj whispered, not even sure in the girl had heard him. y/n had confusion on her face, looking at him with her eyebrows furrowed. she cleared her throat, looking away from jj for a moment.
“you were defending me?” y/n spoke in the same, hushed tone. she felt if she spoke up, he’d get mad at her again and they wouldn’t be this.. calm.
jj shrugged, rolling his eyes. “don’t let it get to your head, princess.” his tone was cold, rubbing his eyes. his chest heaved, trying to stay at the same pace. he could barely move without feeling like his lungs were getting ripped out of his chest. “it was the least i could do,” he spoke again, head leaning back against the cold wall with his eyes closed.
“huh?” y/n looked at the position the boy was in. he looked so calm yet so uneasy at the same time. his chest was moving at an irregular pace, hand still over his rib. she noticed the boy didn’t respond, so she changed the subject. “why do you hate me?” her voice was smooth, but silent.
“i don’t. i try to, but i don’t.” jj shrugged, pulling his head back up and opening his eyes. they stared at each other in silence for a while, the only thing that could be heard was jj breathing heavily. “i’m not used to new people just.. coming in. especially kooks. they are, no offense, almost always two-faced. everybody liked you right from the start and it just… made me mad i guess.” jj rambled, tearing his eyes away from the girl and looking at the glossy shoes he wore.
y/n didn’t respond for a while, just taking in what jj said. “i never hated you.” jj spoke again once he realized y/n wasn’t going to talk. “i was just jealous. you get everything because you’re a kook, you have a good life and a big house and money and i’m stuck with.. nothing. i live, basically, in a shack. with a shitty home life.” he sighed, eyes shutting as his head leaned back against the wall.
“it’s not all that good.” y/n mumbled in a soft, quiet voice. “i mean, i have the house, and family.. but for what? i have no real friends except sarah and i can’t leave my house unless the perfect child is there. sarah’s everything i wish i was. she can leave whenever she wants, and shes gorgeous. and i just.. follow what she does. while everybody may like me they always end up.. using me. i’m never seen for who i really am.” she ranted, rubbing her temples with her hands. “and when i met the pogues i realized where i really wanted to be.”
“yeah, we’re cool like that.” jj joked, easing the air a little. y/n smiled, looking at jj.
“y’know, you’re.. funny.” y/n grinned cheesily, legs crossing.
“oh yeah?” jj met her eyes, arm finally pulling away from his ribs.
“funny looking.” y/n sputtered out, covering her mouth as she started laughing.
jj put on a face of mock upset, looking away. “wow. now that one hurt.” he gasped, shaking his head. this made the girl laugh harder, her face turning red. jj joined in her laughter, two finally stopping minutes later and just holding eye contact.
“you’re really pretty.” jj spoke up, catching y/n off guard. she smiled softly, head tilting a little.
“you are too.” y/n hummed, scooting a bit closer to jj. “the reason i left that day when you were talking shit about me.. it hurt. ever since i met you i’ve liked you. there’s something about you that just draws me close.” she mused, making the blonde’s face flush a little. from embarrassment of what he said that day but also because of how she felt with him.
“yeah i’m.. sorry. about that.” jj apologized, now looking away from y/n. “i don’t know what i was thinking. i think i just said that because… yeah no clue.” he grinned sheepishly, turning and facing y/n again.
jj’s eyes faltered from y/n’s eyes to lips for a moment, looking back up at the younger. they stayed silent, now sitting beside each other. when had they gotten so close?
“have you ever kissed somebody in a bathroom?” jj wondered out loud, a smirk laid on his face.
y/n thought for a moment, “nah. i haven’t kissed anybody.. period.” she giggled, looking at jj with a look of anticipation.
“mm, can i change that?” jj whispered, trying not to hurt himself as he moved closer. his hand wrapped around the back of y/n’s neck, pulling her close. y/n nodded, closing the small gap between them.
their stomach’s both did flips as they kissed. jj had kissed many, many people but it never felt like this. and they knew in that moment, that this wasn’t a one time thing. it would happen many times.

ok so i have Thoughts about that robbe/sander scene at the cafe, and about this very interesting but apparently not at all important as far as wtfock is concerned tidbit where sander has been messaging robbe all week.....and they’re not positive (shocking). i’ve criticized wtfock about a lot of things, but this might be their stupidest storytelling decision yet, bc this is such a BASIC thing to fuck up and get wrong??? this is actually truly infuriating to me and, and is such a huge disservice to sander’s character. also this whole interaction/lowkey confrontation b/w them at the cafe MAKES NO SENSE???
apparently i’ve been judging sander ALL WEEK more harshly than i should’ve had?? i think we can all agree that what he did (and no excuses *atm* since we don’t know his mitigating circumstances yet) - violent attack friday night, ilu in the following morning, kissing his (supposedly?) ex-gf and their pics posted all over ig that evening - was shitty. but what made things even SHITTIER to me, was the fact that he did all that AND has been ghosting robbe all week. like, he couldn’t even bother to answer his text??? what a douche. when robbe ran into him at the cafe all i felt was annoyance, bc HDU ignore his text - ignore *him* all week, just to flirt with him as if nothing happened. but apparently that’s not even the case! he did answer! not only that, but he’s still sending him MESSAGES AND STUFF! messages, as in PLURAL. wtaf. WHY WOULD YOU NOT LET US KNOW THAT. why do you want sander to look even shittier than he already does??? and i get that we’re not supposed to understand wtf is going on with sander and why he’s acting the way he is bc it’s all part of the ~mystery~, but we *are* supposed to know: 1. the status of their relationship and where it stands   2. how robbe feels about everything....BUT WE DON’T. bc IMPORTANT INFORMATION has been withheld from us. which is why excuses such as ‘maybe the reason we don’t know what those messages said is bc robbe has been ignoring them and hasn’t read them’ are nonsense, bc it doesn’t even matter atm what those messages said, what’s more important is that those messages EXIST! and if robbe ignored them, that’s important to know too! THINGS ARE HAPPENING B/W THEM THAT WE DON’T KNOW ABOUT. and we *need* to know about that bc 1. it’s 100% relevant to the robbe/sander story 2. it’s important for having an immersive pov. if you’re not gonna post the actual texts, at least have a clip showing robbe receiving a new text and ignoring it, or going through all his unread texts and looking sad/angry. the main knows something that we the viewers don’t, and this is BAD WRITING.
and again, i know we’re not supposed to understand what’s going on with sander, but i still can’t help but try to make at least a *bit* of sense of it, and i’m completely failing, and the lack of sense + bad acting or directing or writing + bad pacing (this shouldn’t have been part of the coming out clip!!!!), made this robbe/sander scene feel weird to me......in og - even broke up with isak, isak saw him kissing sonja, he missed a week of school, even saw how dejected he looked when he showed up for school again. a couple of days later, even ran into him in the cafeteria - it was awkward and tense b/w them, even looked disheartened and down and nervous and struggling to find something to say, he made a little joke to try and break the ice a little bit, but you could see he was forcing himself and that it wasn’t a *happy* smile, bc he knew he did isak wrong (doesn’t matter that his intentions were good!). it was angsty and made me all *clutches heart*. that meeting was what drove even to reach out to isak via drawings a couple of days after that, bc he saw how sad isak was, how much he had hurt him, and despite believing he was doing the right thing, he still felt bad about it, and that was his way of letting isak know that he still cared for him (but could only be with him in a parallel universe, not this one, for reasons yet unknown).
in wtfock tho - I DON’T UNDERSTAND ANYTHING. instead of everything being tense and sad and guilt ridden and regretful, sander was all smiles and happiness with that flirty callback, and then looked surprised/confused/sad when robbe was (justifiably) cold and savage with him. why????? this is the same energy as robbe showing up at sander’s school and being all smiles and then confusion bc ‘why don’t you want to talk to me???’ after the taking advantage accusations and the slur calling. WHAT IS SO HARD TO UNDERSTAND. in both cases, one of you fucked up (they know what they did wrong!!!), so the other is upset about it, i don’t understand these reactions. in this case, what was sander expecting exactly. where does *sander* think their relationship stands atm??? bc with even and evak things were clear - they were broken up, both parties were aware of it. but sander never broke up with robbe, but he also hasn’t heard back from him all week, so what exactly does he think is going on??? i’m honestly so confused about this??? we now know he has been texting robbe all week, but texting him what exactly? did he say anything to him about breaking up or going back to britt? did he apologize? did he just keep texting as usual pretending like nothing had happened? send him funny memes? WHAT WAS IN THE MESSAGES. does sander know that robbe knows about britt? did he just assume robbe would see the ig posts and get the message so why bother breaking up with him in person? but then why has he been messaging him all week??? if the whole point was to push robbe away (and unlike with evak, he had yet to see how miserable robbe looked), then WHY IS HE STILL MESSAGING HIM. what is he trying to accomplish with these messages. what’s the endgame here. i feel like i’m rambling and going in circles, but this scene didn’t work for me at all bc their story is so messily written that i don’t understand anything about it. are they broken up now? do they both know they’re broken up? the last thing sander told him was ‘ilu’ and he’s been messaging since then but we have no idea what he’s been saying but he still acts like everything is ok b/w them and is surprised that robbe is mad? what’s the deal with them??? no one knows 🤷‍♀️

How To Get Your Ex Gf Back After 2 Years

Note
Can we have the old flame thing but with Akaashi please? Idk why but I really like reading fics that have got to do with old crush/ex-gf and then break my heart and cry with all the angst 😂 But of course, the ending is up to you loves!
Thanks for the request!
She was gorgeous, there was no doubt about it.
She introduced herself as Mizushima Akira. She seemed kind, including you in the conversation with Akaashi as they caught up with each other. Your discomfort definitely wasn’t stemming from her.
It was stemming from the fact that Akaashi’s hand drifted further from yours with every minute that she was there until eventually your hand was sitting in your lap without his clasped around it.
He was smiling at her, his blue eyes crinkling around the edges as he laughed at a story she told. His smile was different than the smile he usually gave in public conversations. With a sinking feeling, you realized that it was the smile he typically reserved for you. His public smile was small, and hardly ever showed his teeth. This smile was bigger, it showed his teeth, and made his entire face light up. You loved that smile, and you believed that it was yours alone.
But apparently he didn’t think the same.
Mizushima excused herself after about fifteen minutes, but the damage that she had inadvertently caused lingered.
“Keiji, can we go home? I don’t feel so well.” You said, and it wasn’t a lie. You felt sick to your stomach every time you remembered that smile.
He looked confused. “Are you sure? We’ve been planning this date for a while.”
“I’m sure. Let’s just go home. Please.” You said, and you couldn’t quite meet his eyes.
He paid the bill for your barely touched drinks, and you went home.
It took him two hours to ask what was wrong.
You had been in a pile of blankets on the end seat of the couch since you had gotten home, the television playing in the background for noise.
Akaashi had been wandering around the house doing various things, but now he sat down a considerable distance away from you. “What’s wrong?”
“I told you, I just don’t feel well.”
“You’re lying. Something happened at the restaurant.” He said.
“Keiji, I’m just tired. Just let me sit here, please.”
Akaashi was quiet. “Was it Akira?”
You hesitated. “No, I already told you nothing happened.”
“You paused. So it was something with her? I don’t understand why she would upset you so much.”
“Really? You don’t understand why it would bother me that you were flirting with someone else?”
There it was. His eyes were wide now, but they had widened in confusion. “What do you mean?”
“I’m not trying to start something, Keiji, but there’s no way that you didn’t realize what you were doing. You’re too smart for that.”
You turned to him, and he had his head lowered, staring at the ground. He  didn’t look like he  was going to start talking, so you continued.
“She introduced herself as an old friend, but you definitely didn’t act like she was an old friend. I’m sorry for being jealous, but what else am I supposed to think?”
“She wasn’t an old friend.”  He said quietly, but it sounded like a shout in your mind.
“Then what is she?”
“My ex-girlfriend.” He said.
You unconsciously leaned back away from him. “Your ex? From how long ago?”
“First year of college. About six months before we met.” He said.
“Why didn’t you tell me about her?”
“There isn’t anything to tell, ______. And you never asked about my history.” He said, lifting his head but keeping his eyes averted.
You kept pushing. “If there isn’t anything to tell, why are you being so defensive?”
“I’m not being defensive! I don’t want you to get the wrong idea of what she is to me. We’ve been over for a long time, and I’m with you now, so I don’t see why Akira even matters.”
“What matters is your reaction to her, Keiji! You were leaning toward her, and making inside jokes that I don’t understand, and you laughed at everything she said, and you stopped holding my hand, and you smiled at her. God, Keiji, the way you smiled at her was not the way you smile at someone you’re just friends with.”
There it was. Everything you felt laid out in the open. He stood up and paced a few steps before stopping. “I was just having a conversation with her. I didn’t think you would get jealous.”
“It wasn’t just a conversation. Have you really not noticed how distant you’ve been with me since she came to our table?” You said.
“I haven’t been distant with you!” He said, his temper growing. You hated making him angry, but this had to be said.
“Yes, you have. You’re practically always holding my hand, or you have your hand on my leg. She walked up and suddenly it was like we were in high school caught by a parent or something. You pulled your hand away from me and you were getting closer to her. You don’t talk a lot, Keiji, but your body speaks volumes for you.”
You looked away, trying to hide the tears in your eyes. He paused, and then came and kneeled in front of you.
“Hey. Look at me.” You shook your head, keeping your teary eyes fixed on the wall. He sighed. “Okay, fine, don’t look at me. But I want you to hear this. I’m sorry.”
You turned to look at him. “For what?”
“For making you feel this way. I…I didn’t realize what that looked like to you. I guess I didn’t think about how much me pulling away meant. Akira was important to me. I was in love with her. We broke up because she wanted to date other people. She wasn’t in love with me like I was in love with her.”
You stared at him. “W-Why are you telling me this?”
“So that you understand what happened tonight. It hurt when Akira broke up with me. She thought I didn’t seem as interested in her as I said I was, so I guess it was partly my fault. I guess part of me wanted to show her how much I’ve changed since then, and it made me pay more attention to her than I did to you. But what I had with Akira is nothing compared to what I have with you. I’m sorry for how I made you feel, and I want you to tell me if I ever make you feel that way again. I love you, and I don’t ever want to make you cry.” He said. “Do you forgive me?”
You nodded and wiped tears away. “I’m sorry for overreacting.”
“Don’t apologize. You didn’t do anything wrong.” He said, and he wrapped his arms around you.
After a moment, you pulled yourself free and kissed his cheek. “So how about we just order takeout and we can talk more? Like we used to?”
“Yeah, I’d really like that.” He said, and then he smiled.
He smiled that smile that really was only meant for you, and you imprinted it in your mind. You were never going to lose that image ever again.

Hyperion
RP w/ @milessomnia }{ Part 4 / ? }{ 1, 2, 3
The ex-Knight slept on for a while. He was groggy when first waking up Sleeping outside like this was never easy, but it wasn’t as if they hadn’t been used to doing this before. It was when he reached for Zell that things started to go all wrong. He wasn’t there. “Zell? …Zell?!”
Zell was slow on his leg, but even still with as long Seifer was out he had limped most of the way back toward the docks.
His body still sore Seifer could only think of one place Zell would have gone. If he ran he could probably catch him before he did something stupid.
Being hurt Zell was trying to stay hidden. When he got closer to the warehouses he tried to walk along one. His knee throbbed. He was sure all the limping he did nothing but agitated the injury.
There was laughter inside. Though it was all mixed. Some angry that the Knight had gotten away and others bragging about everything they’d been able to do. But the one thing they were all quite proud of was getting their hands on his weapon. Now most of them were quite drunk. All too occupied with drink and conversation to notice anything else.
Making his way to the door Zell would slowly nudge it open before peeking in. Zell would watch for a few minutes eyes looking around for Seifer’s beloved gunblade.
Seifer’s gun blade was perched up on display like some kind of trophy. It was easy to spot, just behind the laughing group.
Still wearing his gloves he was about as ready for combat as he was going to be. Slipping inside Zell pressed himself against the wall and started to use whatever he could find to duck behind or just risk walking along the wall.
A fight broke out among a couple of the more drunk and rowdy people. Bumping around and throwing each other into the nearby netting and stacks of crates.
Seeing the drunks start to fight an idea hit Zell. Ducking behind some crates he would clench his fists again and focusing on the Brothers. If he couldn’t fight, then he would settle in trying to scare the drunks off with the GF.
Well….That did the trick. Especially for most who didn’t even know what a GF was. Which was pretty much all of them. Drunk and scared shitless by the sudden appearance they scattered. Scrambling over each other to try and get out.
While he had his distraction Zell tried to force himself to limp fast to reach the gunblade.
It worked fine. Until a few figured out what was going on upon seeing Zell. “Hey!!!”
“Shit..!” Grabbing the gunblade he tried to make hurry away before the GF had faded away completely.
The group started coming back together. Angry and shouting as they grabbed whatever was nearest that they could use as weapons in pursuit of Zell.
“Get back!” He yelled. “I don’t want to hurt any of you!” His leg continued to throb to the point where Zell was finding it hard to keep limping as he was.
He wouldn’t have to limp for long. Seifer came around a corner. Finally having caught up. He was slightly out of breath, but obviously upset. “Zell!”
Holding the gunblade in one hand Zell stopped and turned to the drunks. Pointing his free hand at the ground his hand gave a faint icy glow. He was going to make the floor slick, but he still needed to gather energy to cast.
“Idiot…,” Seifer hurried over he grabbed his blade from the blonde. “Don’t bother just run! I’ll take care of this.”
Zell frowned as the blade was snatched from him. Resting his hand on his leg Zell started to limp.
The ex-Knight faced the crowed. “….Stay the fuck away from us!” He hated doing this, but the situation called for it. Raising his hand, a blast of fire spread out catching all the nearby netting, and wood. Quickly it started spreading making its way to the docks. The mob had a tough decision. Pursue them, or save their livelihoods. Didn’t take long for them all to turn and start calling for water. Seifer put Hyperion away and went to catch up with Zell.
Zell hadn’t gotten far. He was leaning against the wall while holding his leg in pain.
“C'mon,” Seifer moved up beside Zell and picked him up. “We can’t hang around…”
Being picked up Zell would quickly wrap an arm around his shoulders.
Once clear of the FH and back on the old tracks Seifer put the brawler down. “The hell were you thinking?!”
Put back down Zell sat on the half-wall. His eyes were glued to the ground. “I think it’s obvious what I was thinking.”
“This?!” He pulled out Hyperion and then slammed the blade down so it became embedded in the tracks. “This means nothing compared to you!”
Zell shrunk a bit at the sound of the blade stinking in the ground. “I wasn’t.. I, I..” He couldn’t lift his gaze to look up at Seifer. “I just wanted to make you smile.”
He fell down on his knees in front of Zell. Reaching forward he made to hold the other’s head between his hands. “…I can live without it…But I can’t live without you. You’re what makes me smile.”
His eyes watered and very quickly Zell started to cry. Staring down at the other he felt more upset with himself over anything. “I’m sorry. I thought they would flee when I summoned the Brothers only to scare them. And it’s your gunblade. You don’t have that many things you cherish…”
“I could lose everything I own and I’d be fine…. So long as I still had you.” Leaning forward he closed what little distance there was and kissed him.
“I… Feel stupid. Idiot. I’m so dumb.” Rubbing his face Zell wrapped his arms around Seifer to pull him closer.
“…You’re not an idiot…You’re not dumb and you are not stupid.” He held him tight. “I love you. Had you been one hundred percent I wouldn’t be this upset.”
“I’m sorry… I really didn’t mean to worry you.”
He let out a breath and rested his head on Zell’s shoulder. “It’s alright…You’re alright. ”
“We’re both alright. You and me.” He rested a hand on Seifer’s head.
“Yeah.” He sat back and looked at his leg. “Saw you limping pretty bad. ”
“Yeah, it’s hurting like crazy…” Zell looked down at his leg. It was swollen around his knee.
“You shouldn’t have been up on it. Here.” Seifer put his hands over the brawler’s knee. When it came to people he knew he was a bit warmer than most. Hopefully the heat would help some.
Zell sat still as Seifer laid his hands on his knee. He took a sharp breath, but once he relaxed the heat at least felt good. “Yeah well, that’s what happens when I have silly ideas.”
“Need to get a doctor to check this out.” He let out a breath.
“Fat chance we’ll find one in FH…” Zell tilted his head.
“Which is why I’m taking you to Esthar.”
He sighed, “My ma is going to kill me when she finds out what happened.”
“Kill you? Hah….I’m the one she made promise to watch after you.”
“What, seriously?” He couldn’t help but give a light chuckle and shook his head. He held a hand up as he gave a sympathetic look. “How about we don’t tell her I might have broken my leg and set a warehouse caught fire.”
“Might have?” He gave Zell a look. “Your knee was completely busted and you went and used magic on it. Probably healed wrong.”
“Well–it was either leaving it busted or chance that mob chasing us and not being able to run.” Zell frowned. The idea that his leg would have to be rebroken to set right made his stomach uneasy.
“The quicker we get to Esthar the quicker this can get fixed before anything permanent sets in. Don’t worry. They’ll knock you out if they have to break and reset it.”
“Haha… don’t remind me. The thought of being knocked out in general sucks.” Then he groaned. “Not to mention I wonder if I can walk after that.”
“Might be a while but you’ll be okay.”
“Mhn, if I remember it takes about all night to walk from here to the Salt Lake.”
He sighed and then moved so that he was kneeling in front of Zell with his back at him again. “Then we better get going. C'mon.”
Zell reached out to climb back on Seifer’s back. “I’ll make this up to you.”
“Don’t worry about it.” As before he got up with Zell on his back and started walking.
Zell kept his arms wrapped around Seifer, but not too tightly. “Let me at least do something… I feel bad.”
“Like what?”
“I don’t know… Something. What would you want?”
“I’m not really thinking about later chicky. More concerned with just getting us out of here.”
“Huh… I just thought of something. Crap.”
“What? What’s wrong?”
“We left everything. That means our supplies and food.” He thumped is head between Seifer’s shoulders.
“Ow, watch it…I’m still sore damn it.”
“….sorry.”
“We’ll be fine. We’re trained for situations like this.”
“True, guess I won’t be very useful hunting.”
“Just leave it to me.” He had to adjust himself a bit but kept on going.
“If you’re hunting then I’ll cook.”
“Heh… Alright..” He had to let Zell do something.
Zell smiled happily before giving Seifer a kiss on the neck.
“Going to be a long walk…”
“Could tell you a story to pass the time,” he hummed only partly joking.
“Nah… Rest up. I’m going to try and get us as far as I can.”
“Don’t push yourself too much. Not good if we’re both tired.”
“Stop worrying. I’m made of tougher stuff.”
“I can’t help it…? You’d worry if it were the other way around.” He leaned his head against his shoulder.
“The other way around you’d have a hell of a time trying to help me anywhere….”
“Heeey, I’m pretty strong. I could lift you easy.”
“I know, but considering your height versus mine it’d be ridiculous.”
“Mm, don’t know. Maybe I’d have to carry you across my shoulders. You know, one leg, one arm sort of thing. Not like how you like to carry me.”
“Hyne….I hope to hell and back that you never do…”
“I can’t help it you know,” he said softly.
“I know. Just try to rest up or something, I mean it this time.”
He shook his head lightly against the shoulder. “That’s not what I meant.”
“Then what?”
“With you. I can’t stop myself. You know how I am with people. How I have to help. With you…its like a compulsion. I have to help you. If there’s something wrong I can’t just sit aside and watch you be unhappy. It hurts.”
“That’s what happen when you love someone Zell….You’ll do anything for them. Throw the whole damn world away just to see them smile. Face the things that frighten you most just to give them what they deserve. Bleed for them. Now down to someone else in order to keep them safe. When you love someone that much it’s to hell with the consequences so long as that person can live.”
He clenched his eyes as a hand moved to rest just over Seifer’s heart. “It feels more than that… Like, this job, I put my life on the line for complete strangers. I might not come home one day–and… I don’t know. I don’t know if I can put it into words. I know the thing with your gunblade was stupid, and maybe we could have found a new but… You just were not happy. It hurt a lot. Like in the pit of my chest, and all I could think about was how to make you smile again. Because you’re worth far more to me than a stranger.”
“Well I certainly hope I’d be more important than some random stranger. Zell…Sure, the gunblade has a lot of sentimental value. When I use it, it feels like an extension of myself. The thing is, like losing a limb, you can learn and adapt to live without it. But when you lose someone you love, someone who becomes something like your other half. A part of you even deeper than your soul….” He swallowed hard. He hardly ever let his talking open up this much into how he felt. And it scared him. “When you lose that there is no recovering. No way to adapt to a life without them.”
Zell would shift a bit as his arms would tighten around Seifer’s in a tight hug. “I’m trying. I don’t always think before I run. Once I get an idea of something that I think will make you smile I can’t get it out of my head.” Opening his eyes Zell would turn his head so he could look out at the ocean. “I don’t ever want to lose you. You are my other half,” Zell said as he had no qualms about speaking freely. “I know what losing someone does. I saw it with my ma and pa.”
“That’s fine. I don’t want you changing who you are Zell. I expect those crazy ideas to come along. Most of the time they aren’t half bad. Sometimes you just need someone to hold you back. Just like I need you to push me forward. We can’t predict where we’ll end up. But hey, so far it hasn’t been all that bad. A lot worse could be happening. So…I think we’re doing alright.”
“So… you don’t regret agreeing to this trip then..?” He asked with some hesitation.
“No, why would I? Zell, I never expect things go easy. Sometimes they do and I get surprised. But I’d rather be prepared and expect the worse and nothing happen than the other way around. Besides….I’m with you.”
He couldn’t help but smile. “Maybe that’s why we work so well together. You always expect the worst and I only see the best.” When they were a bit further away from FH Zell had taken his gloves off and shoved them into his pants pockets. The toll of all of the excitement from the day was catching up to Zell. It didn’t help watching the water was rhythmic and trance inducing when paired with the sounds. The air smelled sort of like Balamb. Easing Zell to relax and drift off into sleep.
“Urgh,” Zell mumbled as he pressed his forehead against Seifer’s back. “My leg feels like it’s on fire… It’s hurting pretty crazy.”
Seifer looked back over his shoulder at Zell. He’d been walking for what felt like hours now. The previous strain on his body and now this starting to catch up with him. “It’ll be alright chicky.”
“Can we stop? Even if it’s just for a little bit.?” Zell was trying to reach around Seifer’s arm to touch his leg.
He was a little worried about stopping. If he did he wondered if he’d be able to keep going with the same momentum. Seifer gave a sigh and nodded his head. “Alright, careful.” Stopping, he knelt in order to let Zell off his back.
Zell was careful to get off. At that point, he didn’t even try to put any weight on his left leg and stood nearly hopping on the good one. Holding his hands out Zell would manage to lean against the half wall. “Hyne… Does it look any worse than earlier?”
He frowned as he took a look. The swelling hadn’t gotten any better. The skin discolored slightly. “…Zell…I might have to be the one to try and fix this.”
Zell held his breath at the sound of that. His hands would grip the wall a bit more tightly.
He looked at his boyfriend, “Do you trust me?”
He bit his lip and nodded. “I.. shouldn’t be standing up though.”
“I’ll help you down.” He offered him a hand.
“If we’re breaking my leg we’re going to at least tie a splint to it.”
“I know the drill Zell.” He rolled his eyes and then let out a breath. “Rebreak it, splint, I’ve got some cure on me. No walking on it at all though once I’m done.”
He shook his head. “Well, sorry I feel nervous alright? I know we’re trained.. But it’s still my leg.”
Seifer looked up and took Zell’s head between his hands. “I know. And I’m going to take care of it, and you. You’ll be running around and doing flips like normal in no time.”
He took a shaky breath and nodded. “Alright. Yeah…” Looking at Seifer he tried to smile through his nervousness. “Maybe we can break a pipe off somewhere and tie my jacket to my leg…?” Without bandages Zell wasn’t sure what they could use.
“We lost your jacket back in FH, but my coat is already shredded up pretty bad. We can use it.”
He wasn’t going to argue and nodded. “Okay… Help me lay down,” Zell said before holding his arms out to Seifer.
He did his best to carefully help Zell down. Once he was on the ground Seifer took a step back, removing his belt and then handing it to Zell. “Bite down on it. Don’t want you biting your tongue on accident.”
There was a feeling a dread washing over Zell as he laid there. Taking the offered belt, he would bend it in half before sticking it into his mouth. Looking at his leg Zell would look away and up at Seifer. It was clear how worried he looked.
Before he did anything else the ex-Knight found a few things that he could use to help act a brace for making the splint. It was easy to tear off fabric from his coat. That out of the way he knelt back down next to Zell’s leg. “Alright. On the count of three.”
The longer he had to wait the more nervous he felt as he watched Seifer rip his coat. Once he was next to his leg Zell would stay completely flat on his back. Still with the belt in his mouth Zell would cover his head with his hands and nodded.
“One, two-” He didn’t even wait for three in order to rebreak the brawler’s leg. He worked fast so he could splint and cast a cure, albeit uncomfortably, over it.
With the leg broken again and pain shot through his body, Zell screamed, though muffled only by the belt as he bit harshly on it. As much as Zell wanted to roll about in pain he managed to stay still long enough for Seifer to tie the split to his leg. He was panting by the time he could feel the soothing touch of the cure spell. There were tears in his eyes as Zell took the belt out of his mouth.
When he was finished Seifer moved so he could kiss Zell’s forehead and hold him. “S'all done….”
Accepting the comfort Zell would soak it up. The pain wasn’t nearly as great after the spell. Looking up once more at Seifer, Zell would reach up and touch the side of his face.
Seifer looked tired. More so than usual. The stress of having gone through the earlier mess with the people in Fisherman’s Horizon and until this point had really taken its toll. “Alright?”
“Yeah. I need to rest before we move again, okay?” There was some worry still in his eyes, but it was more for Seifer. He could see the exhaustion in his face. And while Zell wasn’t as tired because he wasn’t walking, he couldn’t bring himself to make Seifer continue just yet.
“Alright, just a bit longer.”
Zell smiled and nuzzled into the other a bit. Closing his eyes Zell started to hum softly.
Seifer was doing all he could to stay awake. He wasn’t doing all that good of a job though. He soon found himself closing his eyes and starting to fall asleep.
Using his hands Zell would push himself a bit closer so he could sit up a little and lean against Seifer. It was cold out on the water and Seifer did generate a lot of heat. Once finding a way to sit without bothering his leg Zell too would closer his eyes and let himself fall asleep the best he could.
He wasn’t sure how long he had been asleep, But Zell surely felt stiff upon waking up. There was a small groan as he tried to stretch his arms.
He woke when he felt Zell moving around next to him. A frown on his face as he realized how long they’d spent in that spot. “Damn…”
“Heh,” Zell couldn’t help but give a dumb smile as he looked up at Seifer. “At least you got to rest.”
“Still feel like I’ve been run over by a truck…”
“That’s, kind of understandable. They beat the crap out of you. And then when that one dude smashed my knee you got all scary looking.” He would fidget by playing with the hem of his tank top. "You had this look in your eyes… and then the air around you got really hot…”
“I don’t know…What I do know is that they hurt you. And they’re damn lucky I only had that bat.”
Zell leaned his head against the other. “I know. I still can’t believe any of that really happened. Like I’m going to wake up and we’ll be in Balamb again.”
“Yeah…But we’re a long ways Balamb right now.” He put his arm around the other.
“Mm…” he perked up at little as an idea came to him. “The first thing we do when we get to Esthar is look for ser Laguna.”
“Squall’s old man? What the hell is he going to do?”
“Get a hold of B-Garden? Tell them where we are. Figure out what the hell to do next. Somehow I doubt you want to sit in a strange city while my leg heals for however long.”
“We might have to…” He let out a breath. “If Garden is busy with some shit and we’re in a place that is ‘safe’ they probably won’t bother with us.”
Zell frowned and looked away. “I still feel angry,” he admitted calmly.
“…Me too.”
“At them?” Zell looked up at Seifer.
“Yeah…and myself too. I really don’t want to get into that conversation though. Too damn tired.”
“I think I’m too tired to either.” He closed his eyes. “We can rest a bit longer if you like.”
He thought it over for a moment, "A bit longer. Then we get moving.”
Zell gave a tired smile as he again nuzzled into Seifer for warmth. “Just a little.”
After a few minutes Seifer gave a sigh and started to move, “Let’s get going.”
Sitting up Zell rubbed his neck. “Yeah sure.” Looking at his leg Zell tried to get up without having to use it. He pressed his back and arms against the wall before planting his right foot on the ground. Little by little he would push himself up a bit before hopping on his right leg to propel him further.
“…Next time let me help you, alright? I know you want to be able to do these things. But I’d rather you be able to actually use that leg later.”
“What do you mean? I didn’t stand on the bad one.” Once he was standing Zell would use the wall to lean on and keep him standing.
“You don’t have the normal balance like you would usually.” He let out a breath. “I just want to make sure you don’t use it by accident. Humor me alright?”
Zell smiled. “Alright, if it’ll make you feel better. I kind of figured you still wanted to carry me anyway.”
“As if I’m going to let you hobble around. You’ve got options, back or bridal.”
“….Whatever you find easier. I’m just the sack of potatoes.”
He reached out and flicked his forehead. “Don’t say that again.” Soon as he was done talking he knelt down with his back to Zell. “C'mon”
“Ow… It was just a joke, geez.” Rubbing his forehead Zell leaned forward before climbing onto Seifer’s back. “On the plus side, we’ll know we’re getting toward the end of the bridge when we see the abandon train station at the end. Then it’s the Great Salt Lake from there.”
“Shouldn’t be much further then.”
“Nope. At the end of the of the lake is the OCS. It’s hard to find the ladder from the camouflage. But there’s a blinking light in the air to show where the button is.”
“A ladder huh?” He adjusted himself a bit as he walked. “That’ll be fun getting you up.”
“Heeey, with you carrying me I’ll just hop up the rungs on my right leg.” Smiling Zell would lift his hands and start to comb his fingers through Seifer’s hair. “Just remember who you’re with. I know a lot of things. Plus, we hand to travel through here before.”
“I just…I want you to be careful. I know better than most how important your legs and your hands are to you.”
“I know…” He would continue touching Seifer’s hair in hopefully to release some of his stress. “Or wait, idea. You can climb up ahead. And I’ll hop up on the ladder. But you can reach down and pull me up?”
“..And how high does the ladder go?”
“Uh…” He tried to remember but couldn’t quite remember. “Taller than you easily. I remember when the hatch opened it looked like it was floating in the air.”
He gave a sigh, “Well we’ll find out when we get there. Then we will problem solve.”
“Mm… Trying to think if there’s anything important to tell you before we get there. Since you like being prepared and all. Oh! Fiends–That would be important to know. I mean, unless you already know about the area.”
“I’ve been there…But it’s kind of fuzzy. I was really stuck in my head by then.”
“Mm…” He slid his hands down to Seifer’s shoulders and rubbed. “Let’s see… There’s Bite Bugs and Caterchipillar like at home–Oh! And Glacial Eyes. I think the worst things you can run into are Malboro, but they’re so big it would be hard for one to sneak up on us. Just trying to remember… After the Lunar Cry, there were a lot more nastier things roaming about.”
“We’ll make do. You can work on being an extra set of eyes for me.”
“Yes sir!” He smiled. “I’ll be the best look out ever.”
At least that gave Zell something to do. “I think I can make something out ahead.”
“Is it a hotdog?” He joked.
“The old station you mentioned.”
“Great! We can rest there if you need it. Or we can keep going. But at least we’ll be away from the water. In spite of the Great Salt Lake being called a lake it’s quite dead there, and there’s no water–I remember reading about in in a Timber mag some time ago. I forget who wrote it.”
“…By the way, you doing alright after using those GFs?”
His hands stopped as Zell lowered his gaze. “Just a little fuzzy… –I’ll be fine, I promise! I only used it because I had no other choice.” Fine like forgetting his lack of jacket when suggesting to use it for the splint.
“The brothers aren’t an easy one to use. That’s pretty much two GFs at once. Be careful alright?”
“I-I know. They’re just, really excitable and friendly…” Zell couldn’t help but smile. “Whenever I got bored they would tell jokes in my head. Eh… Sorry. I know they’re a touchy subject. Aside from the memory loss they weren’t that bad. At least the ones I got along with more.”
“S'fine. Not a subject we can really get away from all that easy.”
“I guess it’s a good thing Ifrit didn’t take as much a liking to me as the Brothers did.”
“You’re lucky, even with the junction off I can’t seem to get Ifrit to leave me alone.”
“I’m not trying to make you worry, but that sounds really weird. I don’t think I’ve ever heard of GF’s talking when not junctioned.”
Seifer finally stopped and helped Zell get down so they both could rest a bit. “Surprised Squall never told you seeing as how he and Shiva like to have nice lil conversations with each other.”
Helped down Zell would sit not wanting to worry Seifer. “Wait, are you serious? He never–” He frowned. “Why wouldn’t he tell anyone?”
“Think really hard about it. If you told someone you were having conversations with an unjunctioned GF what would happen?”
“Yeah, but he could have told one of us. I mean you told me about it and I didn’t wig out.”
“That’s because you know what they are capable of…Anyone else would flip out. Besides it isn’t exactly something that’s easy to talk about.”
“I guess…” He glanced down at the ground. “I mean I grew up around them like we all did. So, it’s just normal to talk about GFs and the weird things they do.” Looking up again Zell cupped a hand over his eyes to help him see in the distance. “I think I see some of those Glacial Eye. You know those things you can draw a lot of Cure magic form.”
“Not everyone was in the GF program…” He sighed and stood up. “Stay here. I’ll see about stocking up.”
“Like I have much of a choice.” He shrugged. “If I see anything I’ll holler.”
Seifer bent down and gave Zell a kiss before taking out Hyperion and heading out.
Kissing Seifer back Zell couldn’t help but sigh a little. He was sure this was just as frustrating for him as it was for Seifer.
Seifer was out for a while. Though tough he’d gone up against worse than the Glacial Eyes. Still it left him on the tired side by the time he got back.
Zell wasn’t where Seifer had left him. But it was easy to see the trail in the dirt of him scooting across the dirt to a column he was leaning against. Looking up at Seifer, Zell offered a smile. “Hey there good lookin’ come here often?”
He raised a brow at the other. Apart from looking a bit tired he seemed fine. “Oh I bet just all the girls and boys fall for you…”
“Nah, just this one incredible guy that everyone seems to think is an asshole.”
“Not many that would argue he isn’t.” Walking over he ruffled Zell’s hair.
Zell smiled a bit brighter when his hair was ruffled. “You look like you need a break.”
“Tch,“ He sat down next to Zell. "Going to need a vacation from this 'vacation’ of ours…”
“Pff… Could always hang around Esthar instead of the old orphanage if you want. 'Sides, it’s not like all of this made you afraid of going outside.”
“…S'not the monsters that bother me.”
“Hey… It’s okay. We’re okay. We don’t have to go back there again.”
He let out a breath as he leaned back and closed his eyes.
Zell reached to take one of Seifer’s hands and start to rub it.
“Sorry, not exactly at my best, am I?”
“You’re where you should be. At lot happened in the past twenty-four hours.” Zell would keep at it. Kneading his thumbs into Seifer’s palm.
Normally he had his gloves on. Somewhere along the line though he’d lost them. “How’s the leg?”
“Better than it was before. It doesn’t ache as bad. Not walking on it, so I’m not bothering it.”
“Think you’re ready to head out?”
“If you’re not tired. At least it’s just a lake we have to cross.”
“I’m about as ready as I can be right now chicky.”
He nodded. “Alright. I’ll be your eyes then.”
After Seifer got Zell on his back he took them into the lake.
The actual area was nice to look at. What once was a lake had been long destroyed. All that was left were larger than life animal bones, salt deposits, and the fiends roaming the area.
“…Damn…There’s a lot more fiends around here than I thought there would be.”
“Not a lot of people here to keep the numbers down…” Zell sat up looking around.
“…Yeah.” He took a deep breath. “Alright I’m going to get through here as quick as I can. Keep your eyes on look out.”
“I’ll do my best.” Zell was looking around on the left and then the right.
With Zell keeping watch it made it easier for Seifer to focus more on getting them through this mess.
“Just remember, we won’t be able to see the ladder or hatch. There’s a glowing blinking light in the air that shows where it is.”
“Right, got it.”
Zell frowned and point. “Mesmerize over there.” Around one of the salt deposits was the equine-like creature digging in the ground with a hoof.
“I think I can get around it.”
“That’s good, because I don’t think it’s noticed us yet.”
Seifer picked up his pace. Not the easiest thing to do with someone on his back.
Zell kept his eyes on the horse as Seifer picked up pace. It seemed alright until Zell started to pat Seifer on the shoulder quickly. “S-sei…!” He said quickly. While the Mesmerize was minding its own business a Hexadragon came around the bend and swatted the smaller creature with a massive scaly claw.
“Shit…” Seifer hoped it hadn’t seen them and tried to move faster.
Zell tensed as he held onto Seifer’s shoulders. His eyes were now glued on the dragon. It didn’t take much for the Hexadragon to overpower the horse and begin to chomp down on it. This would make Zell cringe.
“Zell you still watching out?”
“What?” He pulled his eyes away finally to start looking around again. “I am.”
“Good….” Because he did not want to get caught unawares out here.
Zell started to tap on Seifer’s shoulder again before pointing off to the left. There was a Torama crouched behind some rocks and staring intently at the two.
“…Shit.” He didn’t think they’d get away from this one. He quickly knelt. “Get down. I’ll take care of it.”
Zell started to climb down and flopped on his butt. The large cat raised its long tentacle whiskers in a more threatening manner as it gave a deep growl.
“Stay out of sight!” He drew his gunblade and made his move.
“I’m trying!” This prompted Zell to try and climb back up on his right leg and at least hop to some cover. The Torama on the other hand started to move its tentacles in a more rhythmic motion before a bolt a lightning was casted.
Seifer held up Hyperion and stood his ground hoping to deflect most of it. “Damn cat…”
“Watch out they like to attack with magic first!” Zell called out as he ducked behind some rocks.
The Torama gave another growl as tentacles flailed they were starting to become more rhythmic again before a harsh gust of wind blew at the pair. Zell was knocked off his feet and hit the ground with a grunt.
Seifer slid back some. He already got the idea about the magic part. Those damn tentacles looked like they were what channeled it. He just needed to get close enough and take them off with his gunblade.
Seeing Seifer be blown back the Torama sat up. The tentacles were held high as if it didn’t know what to throw at them next.
That looked like an opening if there ever was one. Seifer ran in, bringing his blade against the long appendages.
Springing to its feet the fiend tried to run to the side. Luckily for them Seifer managed to slice a good bit of one of the appendages off. The cat howled in pain as the tendril twitched on the ground.
“One down…Let’s see you try those fancy spells now.”
Giving a threatening growl the large beast turned to try and lunge at Seifer with its claws bared.
It was still fast. He’d give it that much. He tried to move out of the way and felt the claws catch in his already tattered coat.
“Seifer!” Zell couldn’t help but call out to him. This caught the Torama’s attention. While it tried to cast Confuse on the two the spell wasn’t as obnoxiously strong with one of its tenticals missing.
The confusion hit him like a wave a nausea. The ground moving and leaving his movements feeling off. “D-Damn it.”
Zell was still climbing to his feet when he was hit. For the moment, he covered his mouth as if he were going to vomit right at that moment. Trying to shake the feeling off Zell turned his head to look toward Seifer. Seeing how well the spell worked the Torama would crouch low toward the ground before lunging at Seifer again for a bite.
Distracted by the spinning world around him and trying to get back his composure Seifer didn’t notice the Torama lunging at him. Not until he felt the teeth grab his arm.
Sharp teeth came down on the arm. Zell watching with horror and did just about the only thing he could do. Clenching his fists, he started to focus on his GF again.
With it so close Seifer turned his gunblade around and brought it down across it’s back. The auto-trigger going off and releasing a fiery blast of energy.
The creature howled in pain by the damage it was dealt. Releasing Seifer from its jaws it tried to quickly back away. Its eyes started glow, indicating that it was preparing a Blaster attack, but before it could, the pair of Brothers dumped a boulder on the damn thing with a crunch.
Seifer raised his arm to cover his face and avoid the dust and debris kicked up by the crushing boulder. As it cleared he looked back at Zell. Right arm useless at his side he made his way back to the blonde.
With the threat gone Zell would let go of the GF’s and they faded. Still feeling a little dizzy he leaned against the rocks. “You, oh…” He stopped mid question when he caught sight of the arm.
“Zell…You’ve got to stop using those things…” Seifer had yet to manage to put his gunblade away. Some of the feeling in his arm was gone, but enough of it was that that the ex-knight was more than aware of the blood running down.
“It was biting your arm! What the hell was I supposed to do?”
“I’m more than capable of taking down something like that!” At least…if he was better prepared and not so tired after the last couple days he was. Seifer braced himself against the rocks near Zell. “…I know what you were doing. But I don’t want to see you start forgetting things.”
“I’d rather forget things then seeing you dead!” Zell yelled louder than he meant. He held a hand to his mouth before talking more quietly again. “Just look at your damn arm…”
“I know! Hyne, Zell it’s kind of hard not to notice when your arm is getting torn up by a giant ass angry cat!”
“Then stop yelling at me okay!?” He was starting to get upset and it clearly showed. “We’re both tired and fucking stuck out here! And you don’t want me to die–and I don’t want you to die either just to make sure I’m alright! So yes, I am going to use the damn GF’s if it means making sure the both of us live tomorrow!”
“….,” Seifer slumped to the side. “I get it. Alright?” He didn’t even have the energy to argue with Zell.
Zell looked away before looking down at his feet. “…I’m sorry.” Finally lifting his gaze without saying anything Zell tried to hold his hands out to Seifer’s injured arm. “At least let me try and heal it.”
“…Yeah, seeing as how I can’t really feel it.”
Biting his lip Zell held his hands over Seifer’s arm and spent another cure spell. “I don’t have a lot of these left. Just whatever you gathered earlier.”
“I’ve got enough. Not the most ideal thing but you can always draw them off me.” The cure allowed him to move his arm a bit more, giving it some feeling once more.
“If we need to. I just want to get the hell out of this place.”
“We need to move.” Seifer finally got his gunblade sheathed and moved in front of Zell. “That fight is going to attract bigger things.”
Without another word Zell climbed back onto Seifer’s back. “I swear when we get out of here I’m going to sleep for a week.”
“You and me both…” It was quite a bit more difficult to get going this time around but he managed.
Zell seemed more attentive with keeping watch for anymore fiends.
“Hey, is that the hatch up there?”
Zell would cup a hand above his eyes as he strained to see. “I think so. At least it looks the same.”
“Thank Hyne…”
“Let’s just hurry up. I can’t remember the last time we ate anything.”
“Yeah, just keep thinking about food.” It least it would keep his mind busy.
“They’re weird in Esthar, but the food is really good. I think you’d like it.”
“All I care about is a bed…”
When they got close enough to the blinking light Zell would touch it. A moment later and a batch opened as if out of thin air and then a ladder below it.
“Alright…Zell, think you can pull yourself up? I want to make sure nothing comes at us from behind.”
“I think so. Even if I can’t use my legs I’ve got pretty strong arms.”
“You’ve got one good leg still.” He moved as close to the ladder as he could. “Start heading up.”
“Alright, but you better be right behind me.” Twisting his torso, a bit Zell would grab onto the ladder before putting his good leg down. Making sure to hold his injured leg away, Zell would grab the next rung up before hopping his foot up, and repeated.
“I will…” Seifer turned around to keep an eye on their backs.
Zell would keep going until he reached the hatch. “Um… I can’t bend my leg.”
Seifer grabbed hold of the ladder and started his way up. “I’m coming up. When I get to you I want you to turn around get up so you can sit and then scoot back with your leg at an angle.”
“Riiight..” Holding onto the edge of the open hatch Zell slowly started to turn so his was facing outward. “Now to just…” Leaning back Zell sat back in the hatch and breathed out a sigh.
“Keep going Chicky…”
“I’m going, just being careful.” With himself seated Zell kept scooting back through the hatch.
“Good. You’re doing goo-” Seifer felt something grab him. Losing his grip, he caught himself with his bad arm and tried to hold on. “Shit!” Looking back, he saw the gaping drooling maw of a Malbaro.
“Sei–?” He bit his lip hearing Seifer curse. Cursing himself he was caught between what to do. “Seifer what is it!?”
“Fuck!!!” Seifer cried out in pain as he was being pulled down with a hard yank. He was barely holding on. “Zell back away from the hatch!” He didn’t want to…But Hyne if he didn’t he was afraid of what Zell would try to do.
“Seifer–!!” Panic started to eat at Zell. He was sitting too awkwardly to even scoot back out quick enough if he wanted. Lowering his head, he pressed his hands to his face. If he couldn’t use his GF what else was there that he could do!?
“Damn it…” Ifrit Then there was a growling in his head. He’d blocked it out for so long he’d forgotten what it was like to feel the strong presence. How intimidating and comforting the heat was. Suddenly there was fire everywhere. Ifrit didn’t appear down with Seifer. The Guardian appeared behind Zell and pulled him out of the way in order to send his Hell Fire down the hatch. Seifer felt his grip give away just as the fire washed over him and the Malboro.
Everything had happened too quickly for Zell to realize just what happened. One moment he was about to break down in tears over Seifer the next he was being pulled out of the way by two very large hands. It was only until he looked up did Zell catch sight of the mighty GF and the fire that was pouring out of it. And while it wasn’t attacking him it was still intimidating to witness.
The fire consumed and incinerated the malboro. Seifer though hit the ground hard. Above the GF gave a chuckling growl. It served his host right for ignoring him for so long.
Zell stared up at Ifrit. “The heck…? Seifer!” He squeaked. “Is he okay!?”
A voice growled out. Silence Little Bird…Your mate is fine. Maybe a few broken bones but nothing he doesn’t deserve.
“Don’t call me a little bird!” Zell yelled clenching his fists. “You know how hard we’re trying NOT to die!? You’re standing there laughing about a few broken bones!” He slammed a fist into the floor. “What if it punctured his lung!? Then you wouldn’t have anyone to try to talk to all of the time!”
Ifrit stood at his full height, towering over the brawler. Do not dare to talk back to me friend of the Brothers! My champion is well deserving of his injuries after having ignored my presence as long as he has. Stubborn fool…Now sit there like a good child and I’ll return in but a moment with him.
What else could Zell do but shiver as the hell cat loomed over him. His hands were clenched tightly but it didn’t help him shake any less even when Ifrit declared he would get Seifer.
What sounded liked grumbling muttering was all that echoed behind Ifrit as he fetched his host. He returned setting the battered and bruised ex-Knight on the ground beside Zell.
“Sei!” Excitedly Zell reached out to rest his hands on his chest. “Are you okay? Are you hurt?”
Seifer gave a groan. His head hurt like hell and the rest of him was sore. At the moment, he couldn’t tell the extent of his injuries but at least he was still breathing. “Am I hurt…? Really?”
Zell frowned. He really wanted to yell. Or scream. Probably both. Before putting his foot further down his throat his hands would give a faint glow for a moment as he used a cure spell.
Ifrit was exchanging a glare with Seifer. Finally, he the GF gave a huff of hot air and phased away. Seifer sat up feeling slightly dizzy. “Damn GF….You alright Zell?”
He quickly clung to Seifer and held onto him tightly.
“Careful! Careful!” He hissed. This time it wasn’t playing around he seriously was hurting and Zell squeezing him did not help.
He was quick to let go and looked down at the floor.
“Hey…” Seifer touched his hand to Zell’s face. “…I’m alright. Feel like I fell off a three-story building, but other than that I’m alright.”
He lifted his head to look back at Seifer and smiled a bit. "We made it…”
“Yeah, we did. Can’t relax yet though.” He winced as he stood. The world spinning as he moved.
“You, okay? You look a little wobbly.” Zell frowned with worry.
“Cracked my head on the ground pretty good.”
“Shit…The hell with the inn, you need your head checked.” With that Zell started to try and climb to his feet.
“I’ll be fine after I get some rest…”
“Not if you have a concussion… Don’t make me drag you.”
“As if you can do anything right now…” Seifer knelt down, “On my back.”
Zell frowned and sat there with a glare and clenched hands. “I did everything you told me to do in spite me wanting to help. So can we please just find a damn doctor…”
He sighed. “…Fine…Will you get on now?”
Zell relaxed and then climbed onto Seifer’s back.
He fought with all he had not to stumble. “….I’ll buy you a hotdog after this is done.”
“I don’t even want the hotdog, I just want us to be safe.”
“We will be…” He hoped. He had no idea what Esthar’s opinion of him would be.
Letting out a sigh Zell rested his head again Seifer’s shoulder.
Thankfully it wasn’t a long walk from where they were to finally get to a populated area. It was a lot easier getting help here than Seifer had imagined it would be.
Zell kept quiet. He was tired, but not as tired as Seifer is. “I keep thinking of food…”
“We’ll get you something soon enough. I don’t know this place but it looks like there is a clinic just ahead.”
“Mm, this whole place looks like it’s way too clean. Eh… if they give us any grief for some reason I’ll give them my SeeD ID.”
“Right…” He was too tired to care. Thankfully as soon as he stepped inside it didn’t look like they were busy. In fact, the staff seemed to notice them first and rushed to come help the two.

Call Out Cancer 1
Call Out Cancer/How I became a ‘stalker’ I knew her for 8 years before we’d ever fucked. We both shared a mutual attraction the entire time we’d known each other but she had a boyfriend the entire time I’d known her so the mutual sexual attraction remained ‘hidden’, as hidden as any sexual attraction could be. People know and notice it but remain committed enough to abstain from acting on the impulse. Only an idiot would hold the belief that it’s untrue that every guy wants to fuck your girlfriend. They almost all want to fuck your girlfriend except maybe people who know and care about you. Because respect for men usually comes with a disinterest in their partner. Unless yr singing “Jesse’s girl” or “My best friends girl” or some pathetic shit like that. It was good timing, I had just cheated on my girlfriend for the third and final time before being exposed. I don’t know how she knew but the girl L, who I slept with called me and as soon as she hung up my girlfriend at the time knew and asked directly, “Did you sleep with L?” I suspected my friend J ratted me out to Remy. I tried breaking up with Remy but she convinced me to continue to be with her. I at that point decided I no longer gave a fuck and though I could eventually let the rotting limb of our relationship fall apart so that I could regain: myself! I was sick of the pressure of having a hot wealthy girlfriend had on my psyche. I was failing to provide for myself and I hated who I was being, being taken care of by a woman who needed me to get my shit together. She loved me but I don’t miss her. Anyways, we broke up. After breaking up/cheating on her and being exposed, I headed back home to live with my Momma. Back in San Jose, where 'C’ who I had known for 8 years and knew wanted to fuck me lived. ’M’ international artist and Instagram phenomena, who I also would later start fucking again, got me 'C’s’ phone number. I made sure to text her as soon as I got in. C I mean. Messaging C was easy for me and she arranged to meet me within the week. I started seeing C. As soon as we slept together she got weird and said that she wanted us to be discrete. That she didn’t like the idea of being open about us being together. I being a pussy at this time, passively agreed to this 'idea’ though I do remember asking 'Why?'She explained that she did break up with 'R’ but 'R’ was still a part of her life and she didn’t want him to be totally aware of 'us.’ I can’t remember whether she wanted to hide it or just not announce it but I shouldn’t have agreed either way. But being squeamish at/around age 22 about conflicts with women, I passively entertained an affirmative to this idea. I should already see I’m being groomed but not enough experience with sketchy/self centered women made me a really naive and “nice” guy. (“You’re so affectionate.” she would say after we fucked. Like caring about who you’re fucking was weird/gay.) I continued sleeping with her regardless, ignoring the important gut feelings that I was going to be fucked over by this person/these people. But I’m 22. I don’t exactly 'get it’. After beginning to fuck her I would have nightmares in her bed. I once had a nightmare where a man appeared suddenly at the foot of this bed. (in a punk house/shed) with an enormous sledge hammer. The lighting was pink/red and as the man lifted the sledge hammer to bash my brains out. I woke up screaming, shot up in her bed, surrounded by three tick infested dogs, the breeds a mystery to me. It was only a few times out before things god bad. I remember being half naked in her bed when she explained to me that her boyfriend was texting. She informed me of the text. “He’s saying that you fetishize women of color.” “What is he even basing that in?” I asked. “Because I’m dating you?” “I don’t know. I don’t agree with it.” This was another point in which I clearly should have fucked off. It’s clear that this guy is desperate to do/say anything out of jealousy to get this girl to stop fucking me. I was a victim of the abuse of call out/cancel culture. Who the fuck could even reason with these people. Their politics were so backwards–they were literally masking personal cowardice in the idea of a progressive politic. The dudes clearly possessive of your pussy and should be addressed. But here I am, an innocent man, suddenly on trial. Are these people retarded? Call out culture wasn’t invented to keep men out of yr ex-gf’s pussy. We continued seeing each other. I don’t know why I didn’t see this as a potential end. But I didn’t. I was clearly committed to the relationship. I mean I knew her for 8 years. She was a 'progressive’. She wouldn’t treat me like fucking dirt. She knows how fucked up it would be… II. One day we met up with each other at her place. She was having a lot of friends over. I knew her friends and I trusted them. They were also 'progressives’ and I felt that would warrant proper treatment. My life would not become a Bush song. Or so I thought. We hung out that day. A walk around San Pedro Square and St. James then out to burritos at La Victoria’s. They were talking food quality. Apparently she was an aficionado. I had hardly ever complained about food so being aware of food quality was low priority. I grew up to poor to give a fuck. I wasn’t going to notice anything that wasn’t inedible. By mid afternoon we met up at her house. She was invited to a show that was going on that day in Oakland but because she was having car trouble she said she wouldn’t be going. So, I, after everyone offered her a ride, and she would deny them, I thought, maybe, I know it’s crazy, that we would keep hanging out. I asked. She said yes. So we started getting settled into her bed, in her shed, the bed I have nightmares in when I stayed/slept over. We were watching Netflix. I can’t remember what but as we were watching she got a text. It was from her ex boyfriend. He was offering her a ride. I understood that her ex boyfriend was going to be a part of her life but I wasn’t cool with being a stand-in on-call for him. She 'asked me’ if it would be okay if she went to the show. I was too ashamed to voice ti at the time but I felt really annoyed that I was expendable and that we just agreed to hang out but now that her boyfriend/ex boyfriend was free, I was disposable. I got ready to leave because it’s not a self respecting position to tell a woman disinterested in you/oblivious to your being that it actually pisses you off that she’s renegging. I left without saying how I really felt. Not because I"m a coward but because the situation didn’t make sense to me until I was separated from it. I explained my feelings about the whole thing in text as I was waiting on the bus bench for the 22. I was getting a sunburn and getting pissed off. That plans with me meant nothing. I told her how I felt respectfully but angry. She didn’t respond well. If I remember right she invalidated my feelings by saying I didn’t have a right to be angry. As if women I fuck determine this right. I said some harsh words, got home, thought about it more, and got even angrier. That’s when I resorted to Facebook messages to explain my feelings. I was even more pissed and less eloquent. The responses to my feelings were vague and hugely political. It wasn’t a political issue. Which is when I realized how often the idea of the personal being political was abused to avoid dealing directly and simply with a relationship issue.(This would be when I realize how rare it is to actually meet a feminist and not a person who used feminism to was their hands of the consequences of their decisions.) (Could never be fully 'feminist’ after this.) (But it gets worse.) She ended up made at ME after I tried to explain how fucked up it is that plans w/ me are dependent on if her ex boyfriend was/is available. She said I was being 'abusive’. I had done nothing but voice my anger and she reiterated that I didn’t have a right to my anger. The browbeating worked. I was young and a feminist so I started to think I was 'overreacting’ and was in the wrong. Even then it was obvious I Was getting the shaft. Next time I saw her I said sorry. She said, “I don’t want to be anyone’s emotional punching bag.” She misused it. As if voicing my anger to a woman was the equivalent of abuse. As soon as my apology came out I realized how fucked up this idea was. No matter how angry I was it seemed that having a spine and not being overly grateful for getting pussy had landed me in a category of 'abusive.’ Even if I had said, “FUCK YOU YOU ARROGANT FUCKING CUNT,” Which I never said, this would still be, to me, within the realm of an okay expression of anger. I never let the awful things women have said to me in anger get me down no matter how bad it got. I would never claim 'abuse.’ I would recognize systemic shit talk or violence as abuse. All other expressions including a woman pitching shit at me was welcome Not because I"m a submissive but because I had seen in my life people spend endless amounts of time trying to be intelligent and articulate about what angered them only to find them wildly unhappy and just as repressed as if they’d said nothing at all. It was a greatly misunderstood virtue to be pissed and just say what you feel/think. People should have the tolerance to be prepared for the worst a human can say and return to normal after a conflict. Especially being fucked with at this point. But I said sorry to her at a restaurant. A jazz club that I am now banned from for something I would do during a literal psychotic break. Fuck Stritch and the cokehead/failing musician who runs it. She was with her friends who were also arrogant enough to forgive me. After this we stopped spending time with each other. I don’t remember what happened or how it happened I was too mad. I had borrowed her Anne Sexton book after sharing the poems I wrote her in my book, 'Dumb Stuttering Free’ that I would plug here but it’s now extinct/out of press, and that was the end of seeing her. I would message her again feeling worse than ever about how this person was treating me. She wouldn’t meet me in person to talk about it. I pressed the issue in FB messages. Nothing would be resolved. Instead I would be banned from the cafe this woman worked at. I’d been writing at that cafe since before she was an employee and I didn’t understand how having sex with someone then pissing them off was grounds to get permanently banned from the space. I knew that if the roles were reversed no one would even give a fuck that I’d fucked this person and there wouldn’t be any issue of 'being in the same space.’ This seemed like something a child would do. III. I got back from my 3 months in New York only meeting Sarah Jean out of the Bunny Rogers, Sarah Jean, Lucy K Shaw, and Gabby Bess I went looking for at Mellow Pages when I went. I lost my mind (literally) and also lost my job stealing from work. I was caught the same day I’d secured my own room as well. So I gave it three months. Now that I was at home again I knew I was going to be in the same town as this bitch for a while. I thought I Would make an effort at friendship/peace again. I still had her boring Anne Sexton book so I went to the cafe people hadn’t informed me officially of being banned from, (again, these people seem oblivious of how to do their own community policing, and I will never trust women again.) I went in with the book to return it and make peace. She 'wasn’t there’ so I went the next day as I was told to by a girl who worked there. Because 'C’ the cunt who gaslights me, would be here the next day. That day I would realize that the bitch had in fact been there yesterday but was too spineless to come upfront so her obese friend 'O’ approached and explained I was banned from the cafe. 'O’ was 'C’s roommate at the punk house she lived at. I have never hated women more. To boycott this treatment, I would visit the cafe during a night of one of their events with the band Wild Moth, friends of mine, playing. I knew it was likely I would get kicked out but I wanted to protest this evil bitch’s treatment of me and her alarmist position–I went early to the show. Her friends who still all liked me were there and we hung out before the show. The bitch who’d accused me of stalking her and had invited me to stick a knife in this bitch’s side, eventually came. Like a crazy person, she sat down, noticed me, then started growling and yelling. She walked huffy into the venue/cafe. Then the band came out. They gave me a friendly treatment. They asked me how I was/how writing was going and didn’t treat me like a stalker. But…they did ultimately explain that I couldn’t go to this show and that I should go to the next one. This was when I stopped supporting them. There’s no reason to be friends with people this spineless. Pandering to the human baby…it was this point that I had stopped being a feminist. That’s how I became a stalker. Other businesses were informed of my behavior. I was despised and lied about throughout my town. That’s how I became a 'stalker.’
