Fair Housing Association and Bigotry

I use to work for the Fair Housing Association.

They are a group that tests to see if people of minority groups are being discriminated against by landlords.

So our boss would send us out to different houses and apartments that were for rent and we’d each approach them as if we are a perspective tenant. We would then leave and write down what was said to us. What price were we quoted. What was their demeanor. Did they try to convince us to go somewhere else.

We would then submit these forms to our boss. She would review them and, if an issue was found, she would call the FBI.

Agents never met other agents. We had no communication with each other. We had no idea what the others wrote. The forms we submitted were not used as part of the cases against landlord. Only the evidence the FBI gained when they investigated was submitted in court.

As my supervisor explained to me “There are “certain groups” that hate what we are doing. So there has to be NO room for possible corruption or extortion. Because they’ll use that as an excuse to shut us down.”

Years later I met a member of one of those “certain groups.”

A Republican.

I was talking on Facebook about the Fair Housing Association. This Republican came at me grilling me on our procedures and trying to accuse us of fudging the numbers for our own gain.

I calmly explained to him that our procedures left no room for corruption or extortion. That we were just there to let the FBI know if they needed to come in and do their own tests. That we didn’t talk to each other and that our testimony were not used it court. That, if the landlord wasn’t discriminating, he’d have no way of knowing that any of this was going on up until the FBI thought they had a case.

This man would not let up though. So I asked him what his real problem is. He tried to dodge and make excuses and I pressed the issue.

Finally he admitted that he thought landlords should be allowed to discriminate against people and that we are working for the Jew controlled banks to lower the property values of white home owners by forcing landlords to accept minorities.

All these posts. This huge argument. Was all just cover. He was just looking to progress his bigoted agenda without having to admit why he was doing it.

When you argue with a Republican long enough the act drops and the white hood gets put on.

These people are fascists.
