Anime spotlight -  Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches

This was a cute and fun series with likeable characters a good sense of humour and a cute romance. Its just a shame that all the time and care it started with setting up the characters, their relationships and the mystery of the witches was then rushed in the last three eps.

The plot is  when Ryuu Yamada entered high school, he wanted to turn over a new leaf and lead a productive school life. That's why he chose to attend Suzaku High, where no one would know of his violent delinquent reputation. However, much to Ryuu's dismay, he is soon bored; now a second year, Ryuu has reverted to his old ways—lazy with abysmal grades and always getting into fights. One day, back from yet another office visit, Ryuu encounters Urara Shiraishi, a beautiful honors student. A misstep causes them both to tumble down the stairs, ending in an accidental kiss! The pair discover they can switch bodies with a kiss: an ability which will prove to be both convenient and troublesome. Learning of their new power, Toranosuke Miyamura, a student council officer and the single member of the Supernatural Studies Club, recruits them for the club. Soon joined by Miyabi Itou, an eccentric interested in all things supernatural, the group unearths the legend of the Seven Witches of Suzaku High, seven female students who have obtained different powers activated by a kiss. The Supernatural Studies Club embarks on its first quest: to find the identities of all the witches.

I firmly believe this was meant to be 24 episode and suddenly the production team found out it was going to be 12 so everything had to be wrapped up in 3 eps that felt rushed and confusing. Its a shame because I was really enjoying it until suddenly witches were being revealed with new powers and dynamics between the cast and then we had to have a conclusion.

I really liked the body swapping that was a lot of fun and the dynamic between the main cast, I was into the mystery and finding out the powers and back story of the witches but it did get confusing and didnt give you enough time to process the events in the end. I still enjoyed the show but felt a little robbed.

So I’m watching Yamada-Kun and the Seven witches.

GUESS WHICH TWO VOICE ACTORS ARE IN IT. TODD HABERKORN AND NEWTON PITTMAN. NATSU AND GRAY. BACK TOGETHER. AND THEIR CHARACTERS KISSED. I GOT MY GRATSU. ONE WAY OR ANOTHER. I FUCKING GOT IT. I AM NOT FUCKING OK. someone please check on me... cuz I might die. My little shipper heart is so happy. And I know it’s a different show. I do. HOWEVER. THE VOICES HAPPENED AND ITS ALL I CAN THINK ABOUT. the characters in yamada-Kun are literally the same as natsu and gray. Yamada and gray are so similar. They have said the exact same lines like 12 times already. Natsu and Miyamura have the same stubbornness and attitude.

This made me so happy. I can live off this happiness for years.
