Dumb idea.

I’m not good at writing so I just spout ideas and people can use them if they please.

Tommy and Carol aren’t 100% pure assholes.

They love and care for Steve. He’s dyslexic and struggles with work but Carol and Tommy help him

Stuff woth Nancy goes down and Steve leaves them.

Tommy and Carol are mad and don’t realize that Steve now struggles.

Because Nancy doesn’t help him with his school work and won’t explain math to him.

Post season two happens and there’s a project they have to do.

Tommy gets paired with Billy and Carol with Steve

They decide to go to Steve’s house.

Now after Nancy and Steve break up and it became this big thing, Carol and Tommy start to worry about Steve/

So project rolls around and the house is more empty than usual. They notice the bat hidden in the back and now that they’re up close to Steve they see how tired he is.

Halfway through the project of Steve struggling and not asking for help he just slams his stuff down and goes to get a drink.

Steve never had a problem asking for help before. So Tommy and Carol worry.

Billy is honestly just watching them worry over steve and wonders why they care even after he ditched.

Basically comfort fic where billy realizes Steve struggles more than he lets on.

Billy falling a little bit more.

OK so no one likes Cats the movie except maybe me but I give you Robbie Fairchild who was brilliant as Munkustrap. He made the movie it was so fun watching his reactions and interactions with each character and he was just smiling so fondly of Jennyanydots it was sweet

if i have to hear one more person whining about how steve never gets the girl or how steve never gets to fall in love i swear to god..... like have you ever considered that maybe he’s not supposed to get the girl yet? that he’s an 18 year old kid with absent parents who just desperately seeks approval from everyone? that a love interest is literally fundamentally not what his character needs?

that what his character needs is to be surrounded by loving people who encourage him to abandon the frame of mind that tells him he has to be someone he’s not to be cared about? which is precisely what he has in robin and dustin?
