AAAAA I just made myself get in my feels so Imma share with u 😭

Lan Wangji is trapped in a warehouse with a bomb reaching the end of it's timer, and Xichen is trying his absolute hardest to save him.

Wangji comes to accept his fate when he sees it begin to count down from ten and softly smiles. "Ge," he begins, "I'm grateful for all that you've done for me. Please tell everyone that I wish them the best."

Xichen doesn't get a response in when he hears the deafening boom of a bomb, the call abruptly ending. Off in the distance he sees the warehouse, aflame in the aftermath of the tragedy that had just taken place.

He was too late.

Idk if someone already requested something similar, but I have a little idea if that’s okay: YP!WXX with a reader that, like Wangji, keeps trying to save him from Demonic Cultivation. She stays with him and takes care of the Wens in an attempt to try and be a good influence on him to bring him out, but it ends up backfiring.

You adored Wei Ying with all of your heart. You’d fallen so madly in love with him that you swore to follow him no matter what.

You meant it, because even though he turned down the path of demonic cultivation, you stayed by his side. 

You wanted to save him. The Wei Ying you fell in love with had been so carefree, easy going, and happy. He was a goofball who snuck in alcohol when he wasn’t supposed to and got drunk with his friend and brother.

Those easygoing times just vanished before your eyes and you watched as he started to morph into a monster.

You wanted to save him.

But that wasn’t possible for you. Unfortunately, you couldn’t save Wei Ying.

You only ended up falling down this dark path with him. Eventually, you’d turned as well giving up your clan’s teachings for what your boyfriend had created.

Overtime, as he started to gain back the humanity he’d lost. But this time, he watched as you got worse.

There’s always been a deep regret in his heart for letting someone he loved so dearly destroy themselves the way they did, but he’ll never admit.

No, Wei Ying will go on pretending it’s all ok with you. As both of you walked down this dark, corrupted path.
