dad!tommy shelby x daughter!reader
you were 6 when you were sent away to a girls school in manchester. your father, thomas shelby, had told you that âhe couldnât be a fatherâ and that he was âtoo busy to be burdened with a childâ. you were now 18 and hadnât seen your family since. the last time you had received a letter from your father was when you were 17 and it was to inform you about the birth of his son, charles shelby.
you were enraged. it was unfair that he saw charles as a blessing and you as a burden. that he could step up to be a father then but not 17 years ago. you had practically raised yourself for the last 12 years. every birthday you stole a cupcake from the canteen at the school and sung yourself happy birthday. every christmas you receive pitying looks from the nuns because you were one of the only children to stay in the four walls of your dormitory whilst all the other girls spent time with their families.
you had just finished your last year and was lucky enough to get a job straight out of straight out of school which allowed you to buy yourself a small flat. you sent a letter to your father to let him know that you were safe and you gave him your address although you never knew whether he received the letter because he never wrote back. until a week ago when he sent you a wedding invitation.
deciding to attend was the easiest decision. you knew you wanted to see him one last time before you ultimately cut all communication and moved on, knowing that there was no point in hoping he would acknowledge you as his daughter. you were however grateful that he paid for your education, even if he did abandon you for 12 years.
you used your savings to buy a new dress before getting the train to birmingham and paying for a taxi to the church. as you stood outside the venue you pondered on whether this was a good idea, but you knew you had to do this in order to accept that you were alone in this world. you sat at the back with your head down for the entirety of the ceremony. you didnât even put your head up to see the bride. as selfish as it sounded, you didnât care for the wedding and you did not care about their happiness.
when the ceremony was finished, you stood outside of the church with a cigarette in your hand whilst your âfamilyâ took photos. next to you, a gentleman was doing the same thing. he was also glaring at the family and you wondered what his issue was.
âwhat did they do to you?â you scoffed.
âhuh?â he raised his brow
âif looks could kill, theyâd be slaughtered by nowâ you joked.
âi just donât like the groomâ he shrugged.
âme neitherâ you agreed. ây/nâ you reached your hand out to shake his.
âalfieâ he reciprocated. âso why donât you like him?â he asked.
âim his daughterâ you nonchalantly replied.
ânever new tom had a daughterâ
âyeah he seems to forget aswellâ you shrugged.
âwhatâs that supposed to mean?â he asked.
âit means he shipped me away for 12 years whilst he fucked off and had a familyâ you smiled. âfancy giving me a lift to this reception?â you linked his arm.
âabsolutely. i think we will get along just fineâ he grunted. and you smiled at him.
you both walked to his car and he held the door open for you. âdidnât take you for a gentlemanâ you bantered.
âis it the cockney accent that gave you that impression?â he wondered. which made you laugh.
âi suppose soâ you climbed into the passenger seat and he climbed into the drivers. he started the car and drove towards what you were guessing was your fathers house, not that youâd ever been there.
âso tell me about the relationship with your father y/nâ he delved straight in.
âwow you waste no timeâ you scoffed. âwell he impregnated my mother, she died during childbirth, he lazily raised me for 6 years before telling me he couldnât be a father and shipped me off to boarding school in manchester for 12 years and didnât visit me onceâ you shrugged. it didnât bother you anymore. you have accepted that even though heâs your dad, heâs never really been your father. he never tucked you into bed and read you a bedtime story, he never looked after you when you were ill, he never threatened your first date when he came to the door, he never took you for your first alcoholic drink and he will never walk you down the aisle at your wedding. and even though sometimes you just really need your father to tell you everything is going to be ok, you have been alone for 12 years and managed. you can go the rest of your life.
âoh. daddy issues then?â he tried to banter which made you laugh.
âyou could say so yesâ you replied.
âso if heâs such a shit dad why did you come to the wedding?â he pondered.
âi need closure. after this we will never ever speak again. all form of communication will be cut off.â you said with confidence.
âfair enoughâ alfie replied. he felt bad for the girl. she had never had a parent in her life. she had been neglected. and he could tell that even though she gave off the impression that she wasnât bothered by it, he knew she was hurt deep down. so he left it at that.
for the rest of the drive you spoke about all sorts. your job, where you live, his job and where he lives. it was nice. and when your âfathersâ house came into view, you were in shock.
âare you fucking kidding me?â you whispered under your breathe. you donât know why it was the house that made your heart drop, but it was a reminder that you were unwanted. that your father had abandoned you and started a new family that he lived with and looked after in the ridiculously large fucking house. and then came the lump in your throat.
âyou ok?â alfie asked. he could tell that she was not.
you took a deep breath. âyesâ you nodded and got out of the car. all the guests started showing up at the same time. you waited for alfie to get out of the car before you went in. he linked arms with you and you both walked in.
the first thing you saw was a stair case with large portraits of the family of three. it made you laugh.
âarrogant arseholesâ you whispered to alfie which made him laugh. and it was then that you really looked at them. there was a portrait of what youâre guessing is your father, his new wife and his child. that was the first time you saw mrs grace shelby and charles shelby. and as bad as it sounds, you resented them. you resented grace for not encouraging your father to get to know you which sounds stupid and irrational but you couldnât help it. you knew logically that itâs not your fault that the relationship between you and your father was none existent. it was his. and you resented charles for having the father you needed and wanted. that was supposed to be you. and again itâs irrational because heâs a child and itâs not his fault but you just felt so angry. so you looked away.
a waiter passed by with a tray of champagne and took a flute and chugged it. this concerned alfie. he didnât want you to get drunk and say something to your âfamilyâ that you would later regret.
âgo easyâ he sternly told you.
you glared at him.
from the other side of the room, john and arthur had noticed you.
âwho is that linking arms with alfie?â arthur asked john.
âi think it might be y/nâ john squinted.
ây/n y/n, as in tommy daughter y/n?â arthur responded.
âyeah, kind of looks like âerâ john smiled.
âwell why the fuck has she got her arm around alfie solomanâsâ arthur said angrily.
âi donât know, heâs like 15 years older than herâ john looked confused. before tommy came up behind them. âneed you in the kitchen nowâ tommy demanded.
âdid you know y/n is here?â john asked him.
âwho?â tommy asked
âyour daughter, y/nâ said arthur.
âwhat? where?â tommy looked around before he saw you.
âwhy the fuck is she linking alfie, and why is she downing champagne? sheâs a childâ tommy asked.
âthatâs what we were wondering. and tommy sheâs not a child, sheâs like 18 now isnât she?â john asked.
just as tommy hummed, he made eye contact with you and it was you who looked away as soon as it happened. he truly saw you for the first time in 12 years. you were a woman now. he couldnât help but notice how beautiful you were. you looked like the spitting image of your mother with your y/e/c coloured eyes and your soft y/h/c coloured hair. and all of a sudden he had a wave of guilt come over him. he knew heâd been a shitty father towards you, but he never really thought about it until that moment. he felt like shit and so he did what he does best and walked away.
on the other side of the room, you had just made eye contact with your father for the first time in 12 years. you had seen him in the papers so you knew he hadnât really changed. but making eye contact felt so awkward for you. this was the man whose dna you shared and yet you felt no father-daughter connection with him. you just felt hurt. and so you chugged another flute of champagne. to which alfieâs concern grew even more.
the announcement was made that there was food in the other room as they asked everyone to move there.
you and alfie made your way to the table. you sat next to eachother. you looked around and saw your great aunt pol sat opposite you.
âis that you y/n?â she smiled.
âhelloâ you suddenly felt shy.
âhello darlingâ she replied. sat next to her was ada.
âhow have you been y/n?â she asked.
âgood, i graduated schoolâ
âoh brilliant, do you work?â pol asked
âyes, i have a secretary job working at a factory and iâm a barmaid on the weekendsâ
âwhy two jobs?â ada asked
âmoneys tight, have to be able to pay the bills on my flatâ
âtom doesnât give you money?â she responded
âwhy would he?â you asked.
âbecause youâre his daughterâ ada said to which you shrugged. this conversation made pol and ada sad. they realised they truly knew nothing about you and your life. they also knew that tommy hadnât been the best to you, but again, it didnât dawn on them how neglectful they had also been.
âyou recently turned 18 didnât you?â pol asked.
âyesâ
âdid you do anything for your birthday?â she asked.
ânot really. just went to work, went to the bakery on the way back home and bought a cupcake and went to bedâ you shrugged. that was your routine of 12 years.
âyou didnât celebrate with friends?â they asked
âdonât have anyâ your shrugged.
âwhat about school friends?â
âwell they all knew eachother because their parents were friends so they would see eachother outside of schoolâ and this made pol and ada feel even worse, you truly were alone.
âwell iâm sorry we didnât come and see you, we were just so busy preparing the weddingâ ada smiled.
âitâs ok, i didnât expect anyone toâ
arthur got up from his seat to do the best man speech.
âhello everyone, before you eat i just want to say a few words as best man. my brother tommy met grace in 1919, obviously at that point we didnât know she was a spy from the parishâ at this, you looked up to the top of the table for the first time to see arthur and john for the first time, and then you looked towards your dad. he had an uncomfortable face on him, obviously not expected arthur to bring such a thing up in his speech.
you chugged another flute of champagne. and now, alfie, pol and ada all grew concern for you.
â-anyway, enough about that. these two were destined for eachother. if tom can forgive her for it then it shows how much he loves her. tom doesnât really love anyone besides grace and charlesâ and at this, your father looked in your direction to see you chugging another flute of champagne. your 4th in the space of an hour. his eyebrow raised.
â-they are the perfect family. tommy, grace and charles. when grace was pregnant with charles you should have seen tommy. constantly talking about how this is all heâs ever wanted. he was bouncing of the wallsâ a lump formed in your throat. because he already had a child. you.
ada and pol looked in your direction to see your head facing down and you picking at your nails. a nervous habit you have.
âwhen charles was born, you couldnât get the smile off tommys face for weeks. itâs obvious he loves his little family. it didnât take long for tommy to finally start taking days off work for once to take grace and charles on days out. i remember the first time tommy took a week off to take charles away in the caravan.â
you could feel your heart beat speeding up and tears forming in your eyes. and you sneakily tried to wipe them away. but alfie noticed. and he placed his hand on your shoulder and squeezed it.
âi remember the dark circles under his eyes when charles had a cold and wouldnât settle and tommy had been up with him all nightâ
your dad looked in your direction to see you wiping a tear off you face and put your head up. and he saw the disappointment in your eyes. and he was disappointed in himself. he knew then that he hadnât been a father towards you. he canât remember a single night where he stayed up with you as a child and helped settle you. it was mostly ada and pol who raised you for them 6 years.
âgrace. we love you, you came into tommys life and made it better. you gave him something to live for, a childâ at this you stood up and walked out of the room. at this it dawned on all the family what had happened. arthur hadnât realised how big he was fucking up until your shoes clacked against the floor as you speed walked out of the room. âshitâ tom whispered. grace looked very confused as to what was happening. alfie stood up and went after you.
he found you sat on a step with your head in your hands. he quietly sat next to you and out his hand on your back and rubbed it. neither of you said anything and you just sat there and cried for the first time in 4 years.
a minute later, tommy came out. alfie glared at him. âgo away mateâ he whispered gesturing to you crying.
âi want to speak to my daughter privatelyâ tommy demanded.
âhavenât you done enough. why now?â alfie asked him as he got up of the step.
âpleaseâ tommy pleaded. he looked desperate.
âdonât say anything stupidâ alfie warned as he walked back into the other room. tommy sat next to you. you still had your face in your hands and he could just hear you sniffling. it broke his heart.
âim sorry y/n i know i havenât been the best fatherâ you scoffed.
âyouâve not been a father at allâ you muffled from behind your hands.
âi knowâ he nodded.
âi havenât been there for you at all. especially in the last 12 years. but i want to startâ he tried to put his hand on your shoulder but you shrugged it off. and pulled your face away from you hands.
âitâs too late. iâve managed on my own for 12 years i can do it for the rest of my lifeâ you turned to him.
âeveryone needs someone y/n, trust me. i didnât know it until i met graceâ he sincerely said.
âmaybe. but iâm fine without you in my life.â
âyou donât mean thatâ tommy shook his head.
âi really do. i have my own flat, a job and food in my cupboards. i donât need you. i will never forgive you. you abandoned me for years. you neglected me. i spent twelve years in the same institute. christmasâs and half terms included. i was stuck in a building with people who would hit, kick and spit on me whenever i did the slightest thing wrong. i spent my 18th birthday being brutally raped by 3 men on my way home from the fucking bakery. i had to nurse myself back to health whenever i was ill. you werenât there. you donât need to be here now.â you shouted.
ây/n i- i donât even know what to say. i overheard you talking to pol and you never mentioned that thatâs what happenedâ you shook your head.
âits not really dinner talk is it.â
âi swear i will hunt those men down and make them hurtâ he had a determined look on his face.
âtoo late. itâs already happened. theyâve already told me that if i tell anyone theyâll come after meâ you shrugged.
âthey wonât touch you, iâll protect youâ
âfor how long? two weeks before you decide iâm too much of a burden againâ you shook your head.
âyou remember that?â he asked
âwhat? you telling me that iâm a burden? you donât just forget your parent telling you that. sticks with youâ
âi am so sorry y/nâ
âyeah well iâll get over it. coming to this wedding was a fucking mistake.â you sighed
âwhy did you come?â he asked.
âi wanted to see my family one last time before i cut all communication. not that any of yous careâ
âcome with me y/nâ he got up and gestured for me to follow.
âwhy?â you questioned
âjust come with meâ he started walking so you followed.
you came to a stop infront of a door. he opened it and gestured for you to come inside.
you entered and quickly realised this was his office. âwhy are we in here?â
he walked towards his desk and grabbed a picture that was stood on it and held it out to you. it was a picture taken on your graduation. you looked up at him confused
âi had your school send a copy to me. i always asked for updates on how you were doing at school. i have every school report in my draw. i always cared about you. i was just terrible at showing it. and i always thought it was too late to try and be your father so i avoided you. which was wrong. but seeing you today reminded me that i donât want to have regrets in life. i donât want to be an old man on my death bed and wondering where my own daughter is. i know i cant expect you to just accepted me as your father. but i would really like you to come over for dinner one day. and meet grace and charles properly?â he asked.
âi donât know. i donât feel like they would want me hereâ you shook your head. with tears still rolling down your face.
âtrust me, they do. grace has wanted to meet you for years. she was the one who encouraged me to invite you to the wedding. she really wanted family here. and you are family y/n. i know you feel wronged by all of us, and i understand why. but i want to make it better. please, give me a chanceâ he pleaded.
âokay.â

In our hearts forever- tommy shelby
summary- mrs shelby has a cough which turns out to be a lot worse than they thought.
warnings-angst, death, talks of the afterlife, grieve, not edited or proofread coz iâm lazy, just really sad tbh
psa- i know absolutely nothing about medicine or illnesses. i googled most of this so it definitely isnât historically accurate.
it started with a sore throat on a random thursday afternoon. she thought that tea with honey would help. and it did. it soothed her aching throat for a couple of minutes before she again found it hard to swallow or speak. she passed it off as a winter cold.
by 10pm, tommy had returned home to find his wife in their bedroom asleep. he thought it was odd because his wife was always a night owl. there was multiple occasions where he snuck downstairs with a revolver in his hand in the middle of the night because he heard clashing of pans in the kitchen only to find her humming a tune and baking treats. he adored her for it. he loved going to work with a lemon muffin in his briefcase because his wife knew he barely consumed anything other than cigarettes and irish whisky. âthomas i donât know how you donât faint mid-day when thereâs nothing in your stomachâ she would roll her eyes at him.
he shook her awake out of concern. âsweetheart, are you ok?â he asked. âim fineâ she mumbled in her half-asleep daze before she had all but a coughing fit. thomas didnât know what to do. ofcourse he had seen his wife sick but he did not have a good feeling about this. âwaterâ she heaved out whilst trying to reach for her glass of water on the bedside cabinet. he quickly passed it to her and helped her sit up. âi think iâm getting illâ she whined.
âoh really? do you think?â he sarcastically chuckled. this caused her to giggle which furthermore caused her to return to her coughing fit. once she had stopped she pressed a kiss to her husbands knuckles before attempting to go back to sleep.
thought the night she kept awakening with her coughing fits. this kept tommy up and he knew that he would take the next day off work to help his wife get better.
âthomas you donât have to, iâll be fineâ she told him the next morning once she knew of his plans to stay home.
âno, as of today i am at your beck and call. whatever you need, let me knowâ he kissed her forehead.
a couple of hours later he heard her coughing again. this time it sounded a lot worse than before so he ran upstairs to check on her. he was not prepared for what he saw. he saw his wife sweating buckets whilst shivering. her teeth her chattering with a trace of red and it was then that he knew she was coughing up blood. that and the droplets of blood on the bed sheets from where she had struggled to pull herself up. his first instinct was to panic. he knew that this wasnât just a cold from the cold winter weather. he grabbed her a glass of water and mentioned something about ringing the physician. his wife couldnât tell though because she was focusing on trying not to dry heave.
thomas ran downstairs to the phone to ring the doctor who came straight to the home. once the doctor knocked on the door, tommy immediately let him in.
âyou called mr shelby?â the doctor asked. âyes, my wife, sheâs not well. sheâs had a sore throat and cough since yesterday and today it has gotten worse. sheâs shivering and sweating at the same timeâ thomas spoke with panic wavering his voice as he lead the doctor up the staircase and in to their spare bedroom. âsweetheart the doctor is here, he has come to check over youâ he said after entering.
âokayâ she whimpered.
the doctors pressed a stethoscope to mrs shelby chest and ask her to breath in. as she did so, a loud wheeze escaped causing both tommy and the doctor to furrow their brows. the doctor looked concerned which in turn panicked thomas even more.
ârest now mrs shelby. mr shelby, may i speak with you outside?â the doctor whispered the last part to thomas to which he responded with an immediate nod of his head and lead the doctor out into the hallway.
âit seems mrs shelby has signs of spanish influenza. as of right now, there is no cure of this illness. iâm afraid she doesnât have long leftâ the doctor patted tommyâs arm.
âi donât believe you. there has to be something?â thomas was getting angry. he had already seen his first love gretta die from this and assumed by now there would be some kind of medication.
âim afraid not. the fatality rate of this disease is 100%. she will not survive this. spend as much time with her as you possibly canâ and with that, the doctor let himself out.
thomas stood in the hallway for what felt like hours, but was really 10 minutes. his brain tried to process this devastating news. how can his y/n be taken away. she had done nothing in her life to deserve this. she was good. she had a kind soul. she had dedicated her life to selflessness and helping others in time of need and now there was nothing to help her. thomas didnât understand it at all. he had murdered, inflicted pain, lied to get his own way and used people and yet he was still healthy. he could breathe without feeling like his lungs would collapse and he could speak at full volume without having to take breaks to finish a small sentence. his y/n was happy and healthy less than 3 days ago. and now she would be taken away from him and this world far before he ever imagined. he had ultimately decided not to tell y/n that this could be her last day on earth. he didnât want her to know that she would never see him again.
he walked back into the bedroom and sat at her bed side. he took her hand in his and kissed her knuckles. with his other hand, he stroked her hair and accidentally grazed her forehead, realising how hot it was. he stood up, walked to the adjoining toilet and placed a towel under the cool water. he came back and gently placed it on her forehead making her smile in her sleep.
âim going downstairs love. iâm going to update pol on what the doctor says. iâll be back in 10 minutes, donât go anywhere.â he meant that in the sense of dying. donât die y/n. not whilst im not here. you donât deserve to leave this earth without love surrounding you.
âwhere would i go?â y/n whispered jokingly with her eyes closed, still not aware of her diagnosis.
âplaces love, placesâ tommy smiled sadly.
he practically ran down stairs and rang polly.
âhello, polly speakingâ she answered the phone.
âpol itâs tommy. y/nâs not well. itâs bad. the doctor came and said itâs spanish influenza and thereâs nothing they can do. sheâs going to die. please come, she needs youâ he hurriedly spoke through the phone.
âwhat are you talking about thomas?â she hastily asked, panic setting in her bones.
âmy wife is fucking dying. you need to comeâ he nearly shouted down the phone.
âwe are on our wayâ polâs voice cracked.
âplease hurry, i donât know how much time we have with herâ he sobbed and out the phone down.
he walked back up the stairs to find y/nâs fingers turning blue. she was still shivering.
âim back loveâ he whispered
âi knew you would beâ she used some of her remaining energy to pat the bed next to her and invite him to lay with her.
âyou need to restâ he denied.
âplease thomas? i know i havenât got long left i can feel it. i want out last conversation to be with my head on your chest, listening to your heartbeat so i know youâll be okay. i want to die in the arms of my lover.â her voice cracked and tommyâs eyes watered.
âokayâ he whispered back and he slowly walked towards the bed and layed down gently in hopes to not cause her any more pain.
she struggled but eventually snuggled into his arms and spoke up.
âi love you thomas. you know that. youâve always known that just as i know you have always loved me. i donât want you to lose faith in this world. there is not a reason for everything and sometimes thing just happen. i know i didnât do anything to deserve this and you need to know that this is not the world getting back at you for the mistakes you have made either. we fell inlove when i was twelve and you were thirteen and it doesnât end here. my love for you shines thomas. so whenever you feel hopeless, look into the sky and the brightest star represent me and my love looking down at you and encouraging you. you can do whatever you put your mind to. everything you want in life can be yours if you set your sights on it. we werenât blessed with children but you are going to be an amazing father one day. with another woman-â
âno. your my last love. i never want to feel another womanâs love because it wouldnât even compare to the feeling of yoursâ he shook his head. there were tears falling down both of your faces.
âim not telling you to go out and be a ladies manâ she chuckled. âbut donât run away if it finds you. i want you to move on with the right woman. i want you to have a home and a family. donât sacrifice the quality of your life because iâm not here anymore. live it for both of us. we will meet again thomas. when and where the idea of death is in the past and we donât have to worry about ever loosing one another again. iâll wait for you to return to me and iâll welcome you with open arms. iâll scope the afterlife out and set us up with an eternity of love. donât forget thomas, iâm always watching and encouraging you. and certainly donât forget that i love you, always have and always will.â her voice weakened as she spoke and her energy was going fast.
âi love you my dearest y/n. iâll never forget you. iâll live for us both and every achievement i receive is ours. everything i do is in your memory. you are the love of my life. i donât know what iâm going to do without you.â he sobbed.
she used the last piece of her energy to lift her hand to his face âyou will be ok.â and with that and a murmured last âiâll wait for youâ her hand dropped and so did her chest. she was gone, and with that, so was a chunk of tommyâs heart.
â
when polly arrived to see that y/n was already gone her heart broke. not only for y/n but for tommy. their love was a type of love you read about in books and she knew tommy would be lost without his y/n.

maybe iâm just not enough part 2- Tommy Shelby
warnings- abit of angst.
summary- it been a year since thomas broke your heart and he shows up at your door.
part 1
It had been a year since tommy left you and kicked you out. you had moved to manchester and you became a business woman. you were proud of yourself. if someone had told you 14 months ago that you would be a single, independent woman running your own successful business selling machine parts, you would have laughed in their face. up until a few years ago you knew next to nothing about machine parts but you suppose you had tommy to thank for learning. that was the only thing you would consider thanking him for.
moving to manchester was the best thing you could have done. you had made numerous friends, met multiple business partners and enjoyed your fair share of men. in fact, you had one of your men over who was just about to leave. key word is âwasâ because just as he was putting his shirt on, someone knocked on your door.
âcan you get that for me? iâm still very nakedâ you laughed.
âon itâ he said whilst buttoning his shirt and walking downstairs.
he opened the door and you heard a very familiar voice coming from the other side. you felt like you couldnât breathe.
âis there a y/n y/l/n living here?â none other than thomas fucking shelby asked.
âwhat the fuck? what the fuck?â you whispered trying to tie your silk robe. you looked in the mirror and realised that the post-sex look was very obvious.
oh fuck it. heâs the one who fucked someone whilst we were together, not me. i can sleep with who i want. you thought.
you slowly made your way downstairs until you made it to the front door.
âwhat the fuck are you doing here?â you bluntly asked him.
ây/n can we talk?â he asked.
ânoâ
âplease. all you have to do is listenâ he asked.
âim just gonna head outâ your man of the hour said to you kissing you on the cheek and heading upstairs to get his things.
âplease leaveâ you asked tommy calmly.
âcan you just listen? it will take two minutesâ he near enough begged. as he finished his sentence, your man ran down the stairs and squeezed past tommy to leave.
âwhat, grace fucked off and now you want to talk to me?â you scoffed.
âcan you just let me in?âhe deadplanned.
ânoâ
âokay well can you at least hear me out and then iâll leave i promiseâ
âtommy i wouldnât trust your promises even if we did get marriedâ you laughed in his face.
âlisten. iâm genuinely sorry for sleeping with another woman whilst you were at home planning our wedding. i thought i loved her. as soon as it became an official relationship with her i realised the version of her i wanted was a completely made up fucking person in my head. i missed you. waking up without you there, coming home to you singing in the kitchen whilst baking something which was going to end up burnt. not having you keeping me company by simply just sitting in my office so i wouldnât go insane by reading words on a page for 10 hours straight. not having you moan at me for not eating, tortured me. not having you with me tortured me. if i could go back and burn that fucking letter, i would. I miss you.â he blurted.
âbut you canât go back. life doesnât work like that. the letter was delivered days before you went to london which meant you had time to change your mind and you didnât. you were certain you wanted to sleep with her. you fucking kicked me out tommy. i have my life back. i have friends, i have a business iâm happy thomas. do you want to fuck that up for me?â you asked him. you were stern. you were not going back to play housewife with a man you treated you like you were nothing. no fucking way.
âno ofcourse not. i just want you to come home. you have friends at home.â he sighed out.
âi am home. this is my home. i have made it my homeâ you desperately pleaded with him.
âthis isnât your home. this isnât you. sleeping with men you donât knowâ he looked at you in disgust.
âhow fucking dare you? you donât know anything about me now. your the one who slept with another woman whilst i was sat at home worrying about if you would like my fucking wedding dress. or if you would cry when i walked down the aisle. you donât get to call me a whore. when i met you, i though i had found the person i was going to spend the rest of my life with. you chose grace. iâm all pieced back together now. you do not get to come to my home and ridicule me about how i chose to repair what you brokeâ you raised your voice. you chose to pull him into you home after that in fear that your neighbours would stare at you through their windows.
ây/n i didnât mean it like thatâ he shook his head.
âyeah you seem to do a lot of things that you regretâ you scoffed. you walked into your kitchen knowing that he would follow you. you poured rum into a glass and handed to him as he sat at the kitchen table.
âi donât-â he started.
âjust drink the fucking rum thomasâ you said sternly.
âwhere grace then? did you kick her out aswell?â you asked.
âshe moved out months ago. and before you ask it was on her own accord. âsaid it was clear i was having second thoughts and that she was going back to americaâ
âwell at least she was smart enough to get outâ you smiled fakely and to which he sighed.
âlook i know you hate me but is there anyway we can fix this?â he said very candidly.
âno. no theres notâ your eyes welled up.
âcan you just think about it?â he asked
âthink about what? what do you want from me thomas?â you deflated.
âcoming back to birminghamâ he asked you.
âiâd say yes but we both know i wouldnât. and iâm not about be a liar as well as a whore like youâ you laughed.
he started laughing with you which surprised you.
âthis is fucked. can we atleast be friends?â he asked.
âwe can be business partnersâ you proposed.
âiâll take what i can getâ he shook your hand.

âwhatever you wantâ
heatbreak high- dusty x reader (female)
summary- you and dusty hooked up a year ago and he ignored you after, the past comes back when the incest map is revealed.
warning- SMUT SMUT SMUT 18+
what the fuck. how do they know all of this.
y/n - blowjob to spider
- handjob to ant
-shagged dusty
for one, you had never ever touched spencer. never. you wouldnât even dream of it. and ant? well that was sort of true but it literally lasted all of 10 seconds.
however, you did shag dusty. about a year ago and afterwards he was a dick to you so yous havenât really spoken since.
âyou shagged y/n?â spider shouted to dusty causing you to turn round and glare at him. you see, you were a very private person and mainly stuck to yourself. you didnât have drama with anybody you just liked your own company.
âshut up spider. your just jealous because i wouldnât piss on you if you were on fireâ you snapped. spencer had tried to sleep with you in the past but you were having none of it.
âoh really? because according to this map we got very closeâ he had such a smug look on his face.
âpiss off spencerâ you held your middle finger up at him.
after that there was a whole assembly about the events. you had later found out that it was infact amerie who made the map. honestly, you couldnât give a fuck. so what? weâve all had sex with eachother oh well. you were then told you all had to join a programme called SLTs. it was to teach you about respecting eachother and yourselves. you just sighed and put your head down.
the next day after school was the cemetery party. you went with darren, amerie and quinni and got separated pretty fast. you were to busy searching through the cooler of alcohol to realise dusty had snook up behind you.
âweâve ran out of tequila if thatâs what your looking forâ he said, making you jump.
âshitâ you placed your hand over your heart. âdonât sneak up in me like thatâ you looked his way before resuming your search.
âcan we talk?â dusty asked.
âabout what?â you asked.
âa year agoâ
âwhat about it?â you played dumb.
âcmon y/n you know what iâm talking aboutâ
âoh when you took my virginity and then freaked out on me and avoided me like the plagueâ he looked down guiltily.
âyeahâ he cringed. âabout that, look iâm sorry. i was an asshole but i didnât know what to say when you told me you were a virgin afterwards. i thought youâd get clingy because it meant something to youâ
âwell if you thought it meant something to me you shouldnât have avoided me and made me think i did something wrong. and by the way, it didnât. i wasnât expecting you to commit to me jesus christâ you rolled your eyes.
âlook you did nothing wrong okay? it was good i just didnât know what to do in that situation and panickedâ he said looking you in the eye whilst grabbing your hand. all of a sudden someone warned everyone that police were heading your way so yous both ran. after you got over the gate, he grabbed your hand and started to pull you with him.
âwhere a we going?â you asked.
âmy houseâ he said simply. he was still walking at a fast pace.
âwhy?â
âto carry on this conversationâ he looked back.
â
you had gotten to his house and was sat on his bed. âiâve not been here since that nightâ you smiled.
âitâs not changed much?â he asked for your opinion.
you stood up and started walking round his room looking at things. âi wouldnât notice. didnât really get a tour last time.â you joked. you felt his appearance behind you and turned around to look at him.
âi really am sorry y/n. before that night we were friends and i messed that up aswellâ he shook his head.
âdusty, donât worry about it. iâm over itâ you smiled at him.
âokayâ he took slow steps forwards until your back was against the desk in his room. he place his hand on either side of you on the desk so you were trapped.
âwhat are you doing?â you questioned whilst your heart was beating through your chest.
âa do-overâ he smirked and leant in, nudging your nose with his. after a couple of seconds of him do that, you got frustrated and smashed your lips against his. you wrapped your arms around his neck and he resting his on your waist. your tongues were wrestling for dominance and eventually he won. you pushed your hands against his shoulders to push backwards towards his bed, once he was sat in the edge of his bed, you straddled his lap. breaking the kiss, he gripped the back of your hair to pull your head back and instantly peppered kissed along your neck making you moan.
his hands grasped your ass. you broke his kisses on your neck you life up your shirt. you didnât wear a bra. âfuckâ he whispered staring at your boobs. you lifted his face with your hands and kissed him again whilst simultaneously unbuttoning his shirt.
once his shirt was unbuttoned you kissed down his chest until you were on your knees in front of him. âcan i?â you said looking into his eyes to which he nodded very quickly. you unzipped his fly and reached into his underwear pulling out his hard dick. you licked your way up the vein on the underside of his dick that went from the bottom all the way to the head. once you got to the head, you swirled your tongue around it and wrapped your lips around the top, using your hand to work the rest. âfuck. i need more y/nâ he moaned. you spat on his cock and gradually took more into your mouth until you gagged. you then rocked your head up and down his dick. he eventually got sick of your agonising pace and held your head whilst he mouth fucked you. this made you gag multiple times but you pulled through. you could feel he was about to come so you tapped his hand in order to let him know to stop.
once he did, you stood up taking off your pants and underwear . he stood up aswell and turned you so your back was facing the bed and he was infront of you. he pushed you down and climbed on top on top of you with one of his legs inbetween yours. he kissed you and and grinded his now bare leg up and down your pussy. you moaned aloud. âfuck dustyâ you whispered in between kissed. he turned you around and kissed down your spine. he pulled you onto your knees so you were in doggy. he kissed your ass cheeks individually and then licked a stripe from your clit to your asshole and dipped two fingers into your dripping wet cunt. âwowâ you whispered. âyou like that?â he asked you bending down to your ear. you moaned in response. he curved his fingers which made him continuously hit your g-spot. you scream out. âfuck fuck fuckâ you moaned. he sped up. âim gonna cumâ you warned him. âcome on y/nâ he encouraged and you released all over him. âjesus christâ you whimpered.
âwe arenât done yetâ he smirked. he lined himself up with your entrance and slowly pushed in causing you to sigh. âshitâ he moaned. âso fucking wetâ he said under his breath but you heard it. you arched your back and put your arms forward to grip his pillows and he gradually fucked you harder and faster. he leant forward and gripped your wrists behind your back. âdustyâ you moaned his name multiple times. all you could hear was your skin connecting as you started to push backwards to meet his thrusts. âyou feel so fucking good y/nâ he lifted a hand off your wrists and slapped your ass. âim going to cum againâ you warned him. âlet go y/nâ and you did. but you werenât expecting to squirt. âoh my fucking godâ you screamed in relief. he then pulled out pumping his cock a few times and came on your ass. âfucking hellâ he whispered in disbelief.
he let go of your wrists allowing you to fall forward so you were face down completely flat on the bed. he collapsed at the side of you and looked at you worriedly when he saw your face in the crook of your elbow.
âhey are you alright?â he asked with concern laced in his tone.
you held up a finger asif to tell him one minute. âlet me just lay here for a secâ you laughed causing him to laugh with you.
âi did not think you were a squirterâ he rubbed his hand up and down your back.
âneither did iâ you finally looked at him. âthatâs never happened beforeâ you told him.
âwell hopefully i can do that to you again?â he asked.
âyou can do anything you want to me after thatâ you smiled.

maybe i am just not enough- Thomas Shelby
based of the song âIâm not the only oneâ by sam smith.
summary- youâre engaged to tommy but he still has unfinished business with grace.
warnings- vvvvv angsty. grace
you and tommy have been together for a few years. you live in a beautiful home and everything you ask for, you get. on paper, it seems like you are living the dream however, in reality, everything feels so empty. you met tommy just after grace left for america after they had found out she was a spy. you had just moved to small heath and had seen an ad for a job as a secretary at his betting shop. at first, he was extremely stand offish. you couldnât seem to do anything without receiving suspicious looks or strange questions. you didnât understand it until another secretary there had told you all about grace. eventually, he seemed to dial down the glares abit and it lead to small conversations here and there. this lead to longer conversations in restaurants and eventually a proposal. in the beginning of your official relationship, there was no doubt in your mind that tommy loved you. he showed it in any way a man like him could. however, after a year of being together he started to distance himself. it was impossible to understand what was going through your fiancĂ©s mind. one day, you walked into his office without knocking and found him staring at an envelope.
âhello sweetheart. whatâs this?â you asked him, curiosity deep in your tone.
âa letterâ he shrugged.
âwell yes i can see that. but why are you staring at it like the second you open it youâll set on fireâ you chuckled.
âbecause itâs my past. the past is no longer my concernâ
âwell read it tomorrow, i have a surprise for tonightâ you smiled sitting in his lap.
âyeah? and whatâs that?â he asked with a smirk.
âi am going to cook us some food, and then youâll see. so get your arse up and letâs goâ you pulled him up by his arms and started dragging him out of his office.
â
the distance only seemed to get more as the days went on. it was 1 week until youâre wedding and you wanted to make sure he really wanted this before you and him were officially married.
âtommy?â you asked him from the couch in his office.
âwhat?â he grunted
âwhy are you being so distant?â you decided to just bite the bullet.
ânot now y/nâ he shook you off and went back to his work.
âi just need to know. the wedding is in a weekâ you reminded him.
ây/n. i said not nowâ he warned.
âwell then when are we going to have this conversation?â you really needed an answer.
âneverâ he sharply replied before getting up to get a glass of whiskey.
âthomasâ you warned.
ây/nâ he deadplanned.
âim not marrying a man that wonât communicateâ
âthen donât.â he shot his whiskey back. this made you gasp.
âare you being serious?â
ây/n if you donât want to marry me then donâtâ he looked you in the eye.
âim not the one doubting the wedding, you areâ you answered back.
âwhat the fuck made you think that aye?â
âYOU thomas. youâve barely looked at me this past week never mind have a conversation with meâ you could feel tears welling up but you were not about to cry infront of him. âdo you really want to marry me thomas? no riddles, no changing the subject, be honestâ you asked him.
âofcourse i do y/n. itâs just been a stressful week thatâs allâ his eyes softened and he walked round his deck to give me a hug.
âare you sure? now is your only chance to get out of it without having your suits set on fireâ you warned him.
he laughed at that. âim positiveâ he kissed you. âby the way, iâm heading off to adaâs in london for the evening tomorrowâ he told you.
âokay but be safe. canât be a widow before iâm even marriedâ you hugged him.
â-
it was the day of your wedding and you were anxiously waiting for polly to help you get your dress on.
âoh there you are. thought i had been stood upâ you laughed trying to joke.
ây/n sit downâ she said with a straight face and sympathetic eyes.
âokayâ your furrowed your brows in confusion. âpolly whatâs going on?â
âwe canât find tommyâ she blurted out.
âwhat do you mean you canât find tommy? is he okay? i told him not to do any business last night before i left. did something happen?â you asked with concern laced in your voice.
âno itâs uhm- itâs nothing like that. john rang me. he told me that they were having a whiskey before they set off here when tommy just stormed out. they assumed heâd be here but heâs not showed upâ she rushed out.
âwell you need to send people to find him. god knows whatâs happened to him.â you said with your eyes watering.
âwe will y/n i promise we will. for now go home and wait for the phone. we will ring you if we find anythingâ she pulled you in for a hug and kissed your forehead.
â
you were sat at home worried out of your mind. you kept staring at the phone as if it would randomly start ringing. it must of worked because the 147th time you stared, it finally rang. you ran to the phone almost slipping about 6 times.
âhello. whatâs happening?â you said out of breath.
ây/nâ
âoh thomas thank god. are you alright?â
âi couldnât do it y/nâ
âdo what?â you asked.
âmarry you.â he whispered. youâre heart split in two.
âthatâs okay. we can get married another time i know things have been stress-â
âno y/n. i cant marry YOU.â he sternly said.
âtommy can you just come home and we can talk about it?âyou asked him, hoping that whatever you say in person was enough to change his mind.
âyes.â
â
after half an hour of pacing and crying, he walking through the front door. you went to go and hug him but he held his hand in front of him. âdonât y/n. because in about 15 minutes your going to hate me. youâre not even going to be able to look at meâ he said shakily, walking towards his office and gesturing you to follow him.
once you were in his office he sat on the couch and you followed suit.
âtommy whatâs going on?â you asked him with tears in your eyes.
âi slept with graceâ he whispered. you felt like your whole world stopped spinning.
âi love her. she loves me-â
âstopâ
âi want to marry her-â
âtommy stopâ you warned.
âi couldnât imagine a life without her-â
âTHOMAS STOP JUST STOPâ you screamed.
it went dead silent for 3 minutes whilst you were trying to process the information. you felt numb.
âi fucking knew itâ you turned to look at him.
âi told you to tell me the truth. i practically begged for the truth. you told me you wanted thisâ you pleaded.
âi know. i thought i did. when i went to london, i was actually meeting up with her. i had every intention of getting her hopes up and then telling her that i had moved on-that i had found you and that me and you were getting married in 6 daysâ
âthen what changedâ you asked him. tears streaming down your face.
âeverything. i looked into her eyes and remembered how i always loved her eyes. and then i remembered how much i loved her. so i took her out, had a great time and then slept with herâ he put his head down in shame.
âand you couldnât tell me before i was about to put my dress on. you couldnât tell me the day afterâ you shook youâre head at him. âtommy i thought youâd been fucking hurtâ you raised your tone.
âwhat the fuck is wrong with you. youâre a fucking cowardâ you sobbed.
ây/n-â he put his hand on your shoulder.
âif you want to keep your hand thomas i highly suggest that you move itâ this made him sigh and move his hand instantly. you put your head in your hands.
âwhat the fuck am i supposed to do. where the fuck am i suppost to live. i sold my fucking houseâ you hysterically cried into your hands.
âi spoke to pol. she said you can stay with her until you find a jobâ he replied to you.
âyou want me out so quickly. is she moving in?â you took your face away from your hands and looked at him. in reply, he cringed.
âoh my god she is. fucking hell tommy, the sheets are still warm. this was supposed to be our house. we were supposed to have children here and redecorateâ you humourlessly laughed.
âim sorry y/nâ he looked sincere.
âno youâre not. if you were you would have told me the day you came home instead of pretending that all was fine. you would not have let me embarrass myself by entering that church knowing you had no intention of waiting for me at the end of the isle. and you most certainly would not have kicked me out to let her move inâ you shook your head in disbelief. âthis is ridiculous. un-fucking-believableâ you whispered under your breath before turning to look at him.
âthereâs nothing i can do to make you want me more than her is there?â you looked into his eyes.
he hesitantly shook his head. ânoâ he whispered.
âmaybe iâm just not enoughâ you let a tear pour down your face.

âtalk to me tommy pleaseâ
summary- tommy has been living in darkness for years until it finally breaks him, itâs lucky youâre there to comfort him.
tommy shelby x female reader
warning- angsty, bit of fluff.
you were staying at adaâs for the weekend. she wanted to have a girls weekend and asked you and pol to visit her in her london home.
it was around 1am when the phone rang. you were suppost to be setting off back to arrow house in 7 hours. ada got up from the couch where you were drinking gin and gossiping to answer the phone. you could here adaâs side of the conversation.
âoh hello tommyâ she greeted. âyeah sheâs in the sitting room do you want me to get her?â she asked.
ây/n, tommyâs on the phoneâ she called for you. you got up and walked into the hall way. before you could take the phone out of her hand she whispered to you. âhe doesnât sound like heâs in a good stateâ she put her hand on your shoulder looking worried. this caused you to frown.
âthomas are you okay?â you asked in a sweet voice.
âi donât know y/n. i canât fucking breatheâ
âare you physically hurt?â you asked him, a worried tone seeping into your words.
âno itâs all in my fucking head.â he harshly whispered. he sounded like he was in pain.
âokay tommy. iâll call a driver and come back now. iâll be home in a few hours. please donât hurt yourself in the meantime. pour yourself a whiskey and do some work to distract yourselfâ you advised him.
âno donât come home. just have a good last few hours of your girls trip with ada and then comeâ he rushed out.
âofcourse iâm coming home tommyâ you huffed. you werenât mad at him by any means, you were more annoyed that he expected you to just go to bed expecting he will be fine in your absence.
âokay loveâ he whispered.
âi love you tomâ you said as you put the phone back on the hook.
âada iâm going to have to call a driver. need to go home and make sure heâs actually okâ you told her.
âyeah iâll ring one for you, you pack your thingsâ she said hugging you.
you went upstairs and packed your things. twenty minutes late you were ready to leave. âthankyou adaâ you hugged her and kissed her cheek.
âgoodbyeâ
â
three and a half hours later, you were pulling into yours and tommy estate. you grabbed your case and got out of the car after thanking the driver.
stepping into your home, you quietly closed the front door incase he was asleep. you walked into his office to find it empty. you checked all of the rooms on the ground floor of arrow house before eventually deciding he was upstairs. you saw that your bedroom door was slightly ajar and you peaked inside to find tommy sitting on the foot of the bed with his elbows leaning on his knees and his face in his hands. you crept in and kneeled infront of him. slowly you reached out and gently grasped his wrist.
âtommy?â
âtommy?â
âthomas?â you shook him a little incase he was zoned out and didnât realise you were there but he still ignored you. so you grabbed both of his wrists and pulled his hands down so you could hold them in his lap. eventually he made eye contact but his eyes were blank. asif he was a robot.
âtalk to me tommy. pleaseâ you asked gently.
âi donât know what wrong with me y/n. i cant get out of my own headâ he told you. âi keep having this feeling that something bad is going to happen and i canât shake it. after all this, the house, marrying you, becoming MP, i should feel like the luckiest man in the world. but i still have enemies and one day something bad is going to happen to youâ he shook his head. you noticed a tear threatening to cascade out of his waterline and down his face. you were shocked. in the three years you have been with tommy, not once have you seen him cry or be so vulnerable with you. you didnât show it though.
âtommy, iâm fineâ you told him gently.
he shook his head like he didnât believe you. and then tears startling to roll down his face.
you grabbed his face with both of your hands. you wiped his tears with the pads of your thumbs. âiâm here and iâm fine. nothing bad is going to happen to meâ you told him assertively âso long as i have you to protect meâ you added on. he looked in your eyes. you could tell he still has his doubts. you stood up from your kneeling position and place yourself sideways on his lap and faced him. you grabbed his hand and brought it to your chest.
âsee. itâs beating. iâm not going anywhere aslong as youâll have me by your side thomas michael shelbyâ you said looking into his eyes. you could see that it instantly calmed him down. he brought you close and put his face into your neck.
âyouâll always be by my side y/nâ he whispered into your ear.
âgood because you canât get rid of me that easilyâ you laughed.

fallen out of love - TOMMY SHELBY
angst
reader and tommy used to be inlove, now they have to find a way to deal with the fact that they just cannot get along.
y/n-
the house was cold. kind of like yours and tommyâs relationship ironically. it was 11pm and you were sat with a cold cup of tea at the dining table in complete darkness. itâs not like you were waiting for tommy. you werenât an idiot. you knew he wouldnât come home for another hour in hopes so avoid you.
you went from being inlove, to arguing, to strangers. youâre relationship had gotten so bad that yous never even tried to argue. you didnât care enough anymore. you didnât even share a bedroom. the only time that you and tommy would see eachother is when passing eachother in the corridors of arrow house. you couldnât even remember the last time that you had even had a conversation.
tommy came home and broke you out of your thoughts. heâs home early. you thought.
he saw you waiting in the dining room with your cold tea. he instantly went into defence mode.
ânot now y/nâ he instinctively said.
âdonât worry thomas. iâm just waiting up to ask you for a divorceâ you were nonchalant.
âno. thereâs no solicitor or lawyer in the country that will grant you a divorce. you marry a shelby, you stay fucking marriedâ he replied.
âthomas. you cannot keep me here as a prisoner. we donât love eachother anymore. we havenât for a long time actually. we donât even care enough to argue. please. iâm begging you. staying here is making me miserable. you must still have enough respect for me to care about me being happy surelyâ you near enough nearly got on your hands and knees to beg him.
ây/n. what would people think? wifeâs donât leave their husbands simply because they are boredâ he scoffs.
âwhat would people think?â you repeated back in a whisper. âPEOPLE?â you shouted. âthomas i am your wife as of this moment in time. you shouldnât give a fuck what other people think. itâs not boredom. i wake up alone, i dine alone, i dance alone, i go to sleep alone. this is not marriage thomas. itâs torture. even though i never see you i still want to be as far away from you as possible. i want to live in my own house where everything belongs to me. i want a husband that respects me and loves me so much that it would physically pain him to think of my eating by myself. i want children to spend my days with. i want to make dinner without wondering whether my husband is going to be there.â you told him.
he looked you dead in the eyes and sighed.
ây/n. if you want a baby iâll give you a babyâ he shook his head. asif he didnât hear a word i had spoken.
âI DONT WANT A BABY WITH YOU. i want a baby in a loving household. i want to love my husband with the type of love we donât have.â you replied truthfully.
âplease tommyâ your eyes were prickling with tears.
âfine. but before you make up your mind on whether this is something you truly want, remember the times where we would only have to look at eachother and know exactly what the other was thinkingâ he whispered.
âi know tom. but we were young. we thought it was going to be like that forever. and because it wasnât, the disappointment of that is what has lead to our downfall. i honestly wish you the best. i hope one day youâll sit with youâre future wife and drink tea with her and converse for hours until youâre blue in the face. like we once did. we love eachother, we just arenât INlove.â you whispered placing your hand in his shoulder and walking up the stairs to rest.

fool me once, shame on you
nate jacobs x reader
angst (yuhhh)
i hate this so much
summary- basically nateâs cheating on the reader with cassie and iâm gonna base it on how iâd react. also cassie is our bestie in this. also pretend nate and maddy arenât a thing.
y/n-
you and nate had been together for a year. it wasnât the best relationship in the world. there was even a few times where you feared for your life. alas, you stayed because you were inlove.
you and cassie had been bestfriendâs for like 4 years. you were there for her through all her breakups and wrong doings. ofcourse you called her out when she was in the wrong, just not in public. in return, she was also there for you. every time you and nate would âbreak upâ she would comfort you, telling you that you deserved better.
nate was acting strange. more secretive if that was even possible. he would hide his phone from you or keep it on him at all times, even when going to the bathroom. you werenât stupid, you know that this meant he was cheating, you just didnât know who it was. you decided to confront him.
ânate why are you acting so fucking weird?â you blurted.
âi donât know what you meanâ he said without even looking away from his phone.
âare you being fucking serious? youâre not even looking up from your phone when iâm asking something important. youâre so distant. are you cheating?â you just flat out ask him.
âdo you really think iâd do that to you?â he asks hurt in his voice.
âwell i donât want to, but the way youâve been acting makes me suspicious. i barely know you anymoreâ your tone was angry.
nate knew if he didnât shut this down heâd loose you forever. and even though he was in fact still cheating, he still wanted you and cassie.
âlook iâm sorry babe. iâll turn my phone off and we can have a movie night. i swear youâll have my undivided attentionâ he smiled kissing your cheek.
âokayâ you smiled back.
it wasnât till later you realised he never actually gave you a straight answer. it was like he purposely diverted your attention.
-
âno cassie iâm being serious. heâs definitely cheating. all the signs are there. i mean i knew he was a shitty boyfriend but i genuinely didnât think heâd cheatâ you said hugging into her whilst tears streamed down your face.
âi mean, are you absolutely positive?â she asks you.
âiâve never been so sure of anything in my lifeâ you nod.
âwho do you think heâs cheating with?â she asks curiously. you donât know if itâs just you hearing things but thatâs an underlying tone of something else when she says that, you just donât know what.
âi donât know. i donât think i wanna knowâ you tell her
âwhat? why?â she asks.
âcause then iâll get double the time in jail when i murder both of themâ you laugh.
her laughter sounds fake though. âwhatâs up with herâ you thought.
-
itâs a couple of days later and itâs your birthday. you celebrate it at cassies since she has a hot tub. nate come round to give you your gift. itâs a tiffany necklace.
âoh i love itâ you turn around and kiss him. âthankyou!â you say looking into his eyes.
âhappy birthday. i love youâ he smiles back. all of your friends are watching.
except cassie. where the hell is she? youâre all just talking about how beautiful the necklace is when cassie comes down the stairs drunk as hell. in a swimming costume? she makes eye contact with nate the entire time and he makes eye contact with her. you frown.
âiâm gonna wait near the hot tub until it heats upâ she told us.
âletâs go put i swim suits onâ you squeal excited.
âoh babe you coming?â you ask nate.
âuhm i donât knowâ he says unsure.
âno come on itâs my birthday!â you say in attempt to persuade him.
âokay fineâ he laughs pecking you.
âsee you in 5â you say holding up 5 fingers.
you quickly put your swimming costume on and head outside. however everyone is looking is facing the sliding doors confused. when you turn to look at what theyâre seeing, you see cassie even more drunk singing loudly and dancing with balloons.
âwhat the fuck?â you say standing next to nate.
he looks down at you. âis she always like this?â he asks.
âno but when sheâs drunk sheâs a fucking train wreckâ you reply.
âanyway letâs get inâ you clap your hands and make everyone follow you to the hot tub.
you all get it and cassie come out balloons still wrapped around her until she shrugs them off.
âheyyy y/nâ she slurs. which cause you to laugh.
âhey cassâ you reply back to her.
she tries climbing in but falls right on nate not-so-gracefully.
she laughs âoops sorryâ she pats his shoulder. he just looks down.
once sheâs comfortable she speaks up again. âanyways. happy birthday!â she sings.
âthankyouuuâ you sing back.
âiâm so happy you guys have sorted out all of your shitâ maddy smiles to you and nate
âwe havenâtâ you laugh, joking.
âyeah we havenâtâ he says seriously.
âi mean i was joking but what the fuck are you talking about?â you asked him dead ass.
âi mean we havenât. you literally accused me of cheating the other dayâ he says like youâre fucking stupid.
âwell maybe if you werenât so suspicious i wouldnâtâ you defend yourself.
âalrightâ he gives up. but you werenât done.
âyou see what i meanâ you look around to everyone. âi have to put up with this shit every dayâ you roll your eyes.
âitâs really funny because he starts arguing with me and acts like the next day he doesnât come round begging me to forgive himâ you say. airing your shit out.
âoh y/n forgive me. you know i didnât mean it. i love you. we should get out own place when we go to college. one day we will get married and have babiesâ you mimick him. but as you said âbabiesâ, cassie threw up everywhere.
everyone jumps up and screams. including you. vomit is the one thing you canât handle.
âiâm sorry. y/n iâm so sorryâ she says sobbing but all i can here is maddy gagging.
âiâm sorry i ruined everything.â sheâs still sobbing.
âitâs okay donât worryâ you say trying not to vomit yourself.
ânate! get me a towelâ you shout as cassie was being dragged out of the hot tub by her mum.
-
ever since that night, you and nate had been on sensitive terms. you had apologised for not airing things in private and he apologised for starting it. but still things were rocky.
you were at cassies two days later with everyone, just hanging out when there were loud knocks at the door.
yous had left it alone assuming cassies mom answered. 5 minutes later there was commotion in the hallway and you all went to go check. rue was sat on the stairs arguing with her mom. she was saying she couldnât go back to rehab because she couldnât get clean.
âyou donât have to. just take it one day at a timeâ she looks back at us and we all give her a thumbs up. itâs silent for a minute before rue speaks again.
âhey cass?â rue asks. cassie smiles.
âyeah?â
âquick question. how long have you been fucking nate jacobs?â and right then and there you couldâve swore your heart broke. you couldnât hear anything. but you know cassie was gonna play it off.
âexcuse me?â you asked calmly.
âwell i mean i saw her getting into his truck like a month agoâ rue shrugged.
âare you serious cass? your fucking my boyfriend?â you ask hurt in your voice.
âwhat? no?â she shook her head. but itâs too late. you start piecing everything together. the eye contact between them, her vomiting, her curious tone.
âcass i knew you were hooking up with someone but my fucking boyfriend?â you ask. you start to walk towards her.
âi donât know why youâre believing her sheâs a drug addictâ cassie states.
ârue can you remember when this was?â to which she answered âright after new yearsâ
and thatâs how you knew she was telling the truth because thatâs when he started acting weird.
âcassie thatâs fucking low. how dare you pretend to be my friend when the whole time you were fucking him, probably laughing behind my backâ you were crying.
âlook y/n let me explain. iâm inlove with him and heâs inlove with me. we didnât do it maliciouslyâ she sobbed. as if that would make it better. you fucking lost it.
âyour the most self-cantered idiotic person iâve ever fucking met. your fucking my boyfriend and your crying?â she cannot be serious.
ânate doesnât love anybody but himselfâ you whisper. you were honestly just gonna leave it and never speak to them again but she had to open her mouth again.
âno he just didnât love you. you guys are terrible for eachother. it was gonna end soon anywayâ as soon as she finished her sentence, you sent a sharp slap to her cheek.
âbe careful you bitch. i told you what would happen if i found out who it was so youâre lucky itâs just a slapâ you whisper in her ear. she ran upstairs. honestly you were done.
âsorry for slapping your daughter suzeâ you apologise to her mom before walking away to grab your stuff and head home.
âif you didnât do it, i wouldâveâ she hugged me.
maddy and kat came with you and you spent the night crying to them.
the next day you didnât even speak to nate. you just blocked him and cassie.
the only people you needed were maddy and kat.

I love you.
tommy shelby x reader
warnings- just fluffđ©
you and tommy had been married since way before the war. you were 19 and he was 20. young love.
you had met him when you were 15. you had a job at a bakery and tommy had come in to get some bread for his mother. you knew from the moment you met him that you were going to spend the rest of your life with him. back then he smiled a lot. you could swear his smile pulled you right in. he was so different back then. even the small things he did were enough to make you weak at the knees.
and even now. after the war. after everything including him had changed, you still loved him the same amount you did when you first met him at 15.
you had a child together. her name was victoria. she has the same smile tommy does.
even if tommy doesnât show it, the two of you are still very happy together.
âi love you tomâ you whispered as you fell asleep on his chest.
âi love you more y/nâ he smiled and kiss the top of your head.

tommy shelby- liar (part 2)
part 1^
(ngl i have no idea how to work tumblr sooo)
summary- It had been 6 months since you left tommy, heâs starting to regret everything he said, especially when grace turned out to be a spy.
6 months. 6 long months since you had last seen tommy. you had started to move on. you had moved to manchester and bought a small little flat. it was your happy place.
you had heard from pol that grace turned out to be a spy. âfucking snitch from the parishâ is how she described her over the telephone. as much as you hated to admit it, it made you feel smug inside. to know that tommy was hurt almost as much as he hurt you. now you had both been hurt by someone you had trusted.
//
It was a friday night. you had returned from work 2 hours ago. you had managed to get a job as a barmaid. how ironic? you were cooking your tea when you heard a knock at your door. you thought it was weird as you werenât expecting anyone.
as you were walking down your hallway, the person on the other side of the door was starting to knock harder on the door.
âfucking alright âm coming. donât knock my bloody door downâ you huffed out.
when the door fully opened and you saw the person behind it, you tried to slam your door in their face. but he put his foot between it.
âcâmon y/n let me inâ tommy said, it almost sounded like he was begging.
âno fucking way, leaveâ you shouted. even though you had moved on, it still hurt to see him and you definitely did not want to speak to him.
âlook, i never shouldâve said what i said. mustâve had me under some fucking witchcraft or summat. please just let me talk to you. iâm not here to add salt in your wound i promiseâ he said, desperately.
âiâll talk to you, but you stay on the other side of the door. iâll keep it on the hatchâ you said. you really did not want to speak to him. but you needed closure. you needed to know why your love wasnât enough for him.
âfine. look y/n iâm sorry. iâm so fucking sorry. i donât know what came over me. i never loved her. itâs you. itâs always been fucking you. i know i hurt you. you did nothing but love me and respect me, and i fucked it up like always. but she didnât even come close. i thought she was what i wanted. i donât know man itâs like since we came back iâve been all over the place. but i swear iâve figured it out. i only want you!â he said. you had never heard any sort of apology come out of his mouth. you were in shock. you didnât cry though. you were smarter than that.
âthomas you only want me because she betrayed you. me n you both know that if she wasnât a spy, you wouldnât be here right now. it took you 6 months to gather up the courage to even apologise. i stuck by your side through everything. EVERYTHING. i waited four fucking years for you to return, only to be betrayed. itâs too late. i cant forgive you.â you quietly said. you werenât gonna fall for any of his tricks anymore. you werenât raised that way.
ây/nâ-
and with that, you were able to shut the door in his face.
you had your closure. you just wanted to move on.

tommy shelby- liar
summary- youâre tommy shelbyâs wife but recently he has been acting suspicious.
you loved youâre husband. you loved him before, during and after the war. only, it was harder to love him after. he was distant. he wasnât the same tommy that bought you a pair of earrings with the last bit of his money. he was a new version. and you had to learn how to love him as the version he was now. they never said love was easy, but you never expected it to be this hard. thereâs no rule book to loving a broken man. but you made sure to love and respect him and hope it was enough.
you worked at a bookstore. you knew your husband could support you, but you preferred to stay busy. at lunch you decided to visit your husband in his office. you wanted to surprise him and let him understand that itâs okay to let you in. youâre equals, his problems were yours and vice versa.
you walked into the betting shop and knocked onto his office door.
âcome inâ a gruff voice answered
âhi my love, i brought lunch. thought itâd be nice to catch upâ you sweetly said
ââm not hungryâ he said in a monotone voice
âwell can i still eat here?â you asked
âyou can. got a meeting in 5 minutes thoâ he didnât seem to happy about seeing you
you set up and ate. he wasnât talking much. the occasional gruff and sound of agreement here and there, but this is what youâre marriage was. you putting in effort and him taking everything from you.
//
you arrived home at 5 oâclock. no sign of tommy. but you knew he was a busy man. you decided to ring the garrison and see if he was there. he was. and so reluctantly you decided to go have a drink.
you walk into the garrison doors and up to the bar. oh, you thought. a new barmaid. you ordered a gin and tonic and waited. you made polite conversation with the new barmaid, who you learnt is called grace.
âgrace, have you seen my husband? his name is thomas shelby?â you asked.
âyeah heâs in the snugâ she replied.
you went into the snug and you found your husband. he seemed drunk, which was actually unusual as he handles his alcohol quite well.
âhello darling. have you met the new barmaid?â you asked
âi have.â he shortly replied.
âoh. she seems nice. her names graceâ
âhmm very niceâ he smirked.
your heart fell through your stomach.
you knew youâre husband had taken interests in whores, but never had he admitted it. you had never admitted to knowing either. but it hurt you the way that he could speak about a woman infront of you as if you were one of his brothers. youâre his wife for goodness sake.
at that point youâre mood was sour. you swallowed the rest of your drink and walked out, back to youâre shared home.
//
about two hours later you husband can crashing through your front door. waking you. you pretended you were asleep and hoped he would apologise in the morning.
//
two weeks later, it was rocky. more rocky than your relationship had ever been. he still hadnât apologised and returned home later and youâd probably exchanged all of 10 words in 14 days. it was bad. but it got worse when he came home reeking of perfume that wasnât yours.
âwhere the fuck have you been? and why do i smell another woman on you?â you asked. you were furious. you didnât deserve this, especially after all the love and effort you put into making youâre love enough.
ânot tonight y/nâ he snapped.
âhave you slept with herâ
âi said not tonight!â
âjust talk to me god dammit. you have put me through hell these last few months and i canât do it anymore.â
âTHEN LEAVE, iâm not asking you to stay.â
you were shocked, this is the moment you knew he had fallen out of love with you.
âyou shouldâve told me the moment you figured it outâ you quietly said with a shaken voice.
âfigured what out?â
âthat you didnât love me anymoreâ
ây/n i love you. but iâm not inlove with you. iâm inlove with grace.â
âyou should have left me alone if i wasnât what you wantedâ you replied with tears rolling down your face.
and with that you left. you knew you were worth more. and so you seeked for more.
