So, I was playing around and made this top. And I'm so proud of it, it looks so good.

Now I'm too scared to touch it! I don't wanna take it off *pouts*

I'm aiming for pajama vibes. Essentials imo. This is no where near perfect, I don't know if I'd want my kid wearing it. But I mage it. It's simple and nice and- stuff.

Finishing it up is my least favourite bit. The strings are everywhere, I am guilty oof.

So, I have DID. Controversial I know. But I also have a whole fluff ton of dolls - some brought by alters that fit the intended age range, and some who do not - and I was a huge advocate for mga to retain and return to the original articulation over the lessened articulation of the new rainbow world playsets.

However, I felt the pull, of a younger alter alongside the rest, to get the Skylar Bradshaw Jnr High Sleepover doll. So we got it. And they were the ones who wanted to open it. And so we did.

And my loosh, they really liked it. Like, their new favourite. From the face, to the texture of the clothes, to the little box with little pieces they could organise. They absolutely squealed in delight, in my head.

The limited articulation was actually soothing, for a part. It was soothing that we didn't have to decide where to put the wrist. And the hip articulation deserves extra credit. I got a fair running pose where moving the doll about for the first time. The slippers let the doll stand up too!

But, it was quite upsetting when the doll couldn't hold onto the box she came with. It brought us - youngin included - a fairly strong wave of anguish when the box wouldn't fit in her palm. No matter how we usually moved the shoulder and elbow, it didn't work. After this was ignored for a time, the feelings weren't as strong. But it wasn't a fun time to be in my head.

I honestly would like to get all the Pajama party dolls, especially the Bella Parker one. I want all the accessories (and I want a DOLLHOUSE!!! MGA plz!!) And the back art is the first set I want up on my wall. Before they were too glarey, but this art is gorgeous. Furthermore, my alters want to play with this doll. It may be where we are up to in therapy, or perhaps the junior high mould, but I personally think it was the applicable play items. The bottles on the playset were bright, and they could be bottles of anything. The asmr of the smaller nail files was just perfect. I want to hold them more. The older playsets didn't have that, for some reason. The phones weren't that as much.

So, anyway. There are pros and cons. I just wanted to share it.

I have been out of the doll scene for a while - majorly because I have to drive a good half a day to find a shop that sells anything beyond Rainbow High Fantastic Fashion dolls... which I got, all of them, for christmas - but I finally went that far out. The selection was slim. I wanted slumber party Bella, but I got a jnr high skylar instead.

I'm still not feeling like opening it. But it's sitting on my desk and I really want to open it. Ugh.
