More Underguise! I'm realizing maybe I should actually give a bit of info when I post these refs lol

Chara- ghost child, the kind of ghost that appears for a minute and when they disappear you're not sure they were ever there. Only Frisk can see them all the time. Knows more than a kid should, and always saying cryptic creepy things. Not malicious, though.

Neutral/pacifist Frisk- Typical horror protagonist kid, scared out of their wits, mostly helpless, but clever--- and has a boatload of empathy characteristic of Undertale in general.

Genocide Frisk- 'that's definitely not a child' horror child. Sort of an AU within an AU as the main storyline for this would be Pacifist. Not much worked out for them except that they become The Horror in a world full of 'Horror' :)

Just saw a post where everyone was agreeing that 11 is the 'oldest' doctor and I'm like hello what. I have called him 'the childish one' in my head from the moment he came onscreen

I'm more of a sci-fi lover than a fantasy lover (in case you couldn't tell) but Damsel (2024) was cool, I kept pointing at the screen and saying 'this is structured like a horror movie!'

It's got an innocent 'maiden' (read: teenage girl) as the primary victim, an unseen monster (they take care not to reveal the whole dragon until a while into the movie!), gore, chase sequences, false hope, building tension/dread into the reveal of the monster, and even jumpscares! And that whole sequence taking place in a CAVE with TIGHT SPACES??? UGH! Cave exploration/diving is freakin' terrifying to me, it was so fun to see it utilized this way. Maybe I haven't seen enough fantasy, but this made me realize I want more horror fantasy. So cool.

Funny that the moment the dragon's appearance is revealed in full (in the cavern scene against Elodie's dad), it moooostly goes back to feeling like a typical fantasy movie. Like I def saw that resolution coming from a mile away, but still overall really good stuff.

So like Floyd was the 'emotional one' because he was the most confrontational on the suffocating practices of the band right. Like when people say 'oh you're so emotional can't you take a joke' right. I know he's also empathetic so that factors into it but I feel like it HAS to be about him not taking shit from his brothers and them feeling discomfort at his willingness to be honest about his feelings
