I've been thinking about the sentiment of "Why don't we have a word to describe this" or "Wow, <insert language> has a really cool word for this, if only we had a word like it".
Friends, how do you think we got words in the first place? We made them up or we stole them from other languages. It's how we get words. Nothing is stopping us from continuing to do that.
If you see a word you like in another language, look up the meaning, where it comes from, how it's used, and get interested in etymology.
Make up a bunch of words for concepts that don't exist. Whether you just mash some words together every now and then or create an entire ConLang of weird and wonderful words.
Don't expect to get a ton of words into actual dictionaries because that's complicated and requires a lot of people being on board, but use strange words with your friends, get them to use them or make their own. Have words that behave like in-jokes, once you're friends with someone you get all of their words.
This has probably been put more elegantly somewhere else, but I had to talk about it somewhere because the idea wouldn't leave me alone. Apparently several ideas wouldn't leave me alone either because this went on a lot longer than I thought it would.

Vocab from a song Петля Пристрастия - "Зелёный Коридор" in Russian for Russian learners
The band is not Russian, btw, they're from Belarus as well.
The band's name in English is "Addiction Loop" and the song's title is "Green Corridor".

spotify apple music
The song's original lyrics below:
The translated version:
May the strength be with us, all that has been is but a prologue. Through mental graves and biological vice I'm running at full speed, a flask for me and a green corridor, A flask for me and a green corridor.
I was pissed off by everyone the day before, and now, Look, I'm laughing. You and me and the bottom of the bottle, how's that for a union, my friend? To find you again and lose you straightaway. To break everything and lose the rest.
Oh, a hundred thousand parties to look forward to And I've got to make sure I don't miss a single one. Against all reason A flask for me and a green corridor.
Oh, a hundred thousand parties to look forward to. And I've got to make sure I don't miss a single one Against all reason. A flask for me and a green corridor.
Oh, the old clock has been standing for a long time. Not trying stopped being an option a long time ago. Against all reason A flask for me and a green corridor.
A flask for me and a green corridor A flask for me and a green corridor

The song's original lyrics below:

The translated version:
Gift me, Lord What you don't want – For example, ram's horns And monkey's grimaces And also a ratchet tail, A completely flat brain!
Arms and legs are not needed – Give me four claws And a fountain, like whales have, – To scare off enemies!
Maybe, that's impossible! Or maybe it'll work out... We'll just have to wait and see. Maybe, maybe!
Gift me, Lucifer, A Faun's Smile, for example. Gift me an eagle profile, My dear Mephistopheles! I'll forever be in debt – If I can be sweet!
Give me cheetah's grace, Myocardium's elasticity, Flawlessness of all sorts, To make enemies fall in love with me!
Maybe, that's impossible! Or maybe it'll work out... We'll just have to wait and see. Maybe, maybe!

Vocabulary from this song
Nouns:
Ужи́мки(pl.) - ужи́мка(sing.) - grimace
Клешня́(sing.) - claw
Долг(sing.) - debt
Эласти́чность(sing.) - elasticity
Безупре́чность(sing.) - flawlessness
Verb:
Влюбля́ть(imperfect form, transitive) - to make someone fall in love
Adjective:
Пло́ский - flat
Adverb:
Него́же - used when something is not suitable, not right. This word is a little bit archaic, btw. Не годи́тся, не подхо́дит, не сле́дует, неподходя́ще are all better alternatives.
Него́же благоро́дной да́ме жить в бега́х, как како́му-то престу́пнику. = It's not right for a noble lady to live on the run like some criminal.
Expressions:
Ру́ки-но́ги - basically limbs. A more common word that is a synonim - коне́чности.
Поживём-уви́дим - if we translate it directly it means we'll wait and we'll see. This expression is almost a complete sentence, but with missing implications "IF we'll wait - we'll see"
Орли́ный про́филь - aquiline profile (roman nose)
Гра́ция гепа́рда - cheetah's grace
FAUN - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Faun
MEPHISTOPHELES - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mephistopheles I like this song a lot and recently it finally got more popular ;]

How I learned to read in my target languages (Part 2)
I will mention multiple others sources I used to improve my reading. Basically I would read for as long as I need to get 15 or 20 words daily.
I can't recommend WordSwing as much as I recommend DuChinese, but it's still worth using if you want to read more.
I don't remember using DuHanZi, but apparently I finished all free stories on it, there probably weren't a lot of them.
Once I had enough vocab and I was bored of DuChinese, I used a website, that I found on Reddit — www.mylingua.world.
It forms your recommendations on what news you can understand, based on your vocab knowledge. Once you see a word you've learned, you just mark it as learned. Gradually after marking more and more words, you see how much progress you've made and it's really motivating.
Would I recommend reading news to improve your vocab? Unless it's an article on your interests, I would say no. There's no need to force yourself to consume what you're not interested in to improve your language skills.
Another useful feature from this website is being able to add your own texts in chinese. Which significantly improved my reading skills in just a few months of reading fanfiction.
The main con of this resource is inaccuracy. While in most cases you won't notice it, some words on there have innaccurate translation. But don't worry, just use Pleco or an online dicitionary.
I have a dictionary I want to recommend to those of you who know Russian, it's name is PocketChinese. The app may be a bit laggy, but in a lot of cases where Pleco failed to explain a word or a phrase to me, PocketChinese succeeded. So as long as you switch between these two and mylingua.world, you'll probably be fine.
A few months ago they've set a limit on how many articles you can fully read weekly and on how many you can upload. But i assure you that even with the limit you still have a lot of possibilities to learn.
Just remember to bookmark articles you've found interesting, since finding them later is hard.
When I played games in chinese and had difficulties with writing down words to search for them I would use Deepl. It has a scan feature that allowes you to make photos of chinese texts. It automatically translates that, but you can also copy it and work with it.
My top resource is mylingua.world. Genuinely simplifies my life so much when I want to figure out new vocab in a new text.

An update
I am now 20 and I'm back to learning my beloved languages once again.
The quote I adhere to remains the same:
One Piece is my passion and my life, and one of the main reason for learning languages  — “To enjoy more One Piece content”.
Perhaps there's an additional one I now live by:
Any content is 1000 times better when consumed in a language you don't fully understand yet.
I'm no longer actively learning Korean. Korean is cool af, but was just too energy-consuming at the time. Especially with me learning Chinese & Italian at the same time.
Right now, learning is much slower, but I'm hoping to come back to my previous tempo as soon as I'm ready. Right now i'm 1700+ chinese and 300+ italian reviews behind on anki. And recently I've been limiting my daily reviews to only 100 in both languages so as not to overwhelm myself because of my own self-expectations. Learning 20-30 new words daily was fun, but reviewing 400+ words daily? Not so much. Hence why I had multiple 5 week long breaks during the last year.
Chinese is still my babygirl, despite all the hardships I had.
Italian is on pause at least until I catch up with reviews.
Mexican Spanish is the one I'm slowly learning for fun and engagement with the part of me which earns to LEARN and consume new knowledge. Engaging with SQMP content is also a major reason for my current interest in this magnificent language.
For now, my only goal is to slowly reintroduce this language learning practice back into my life.
