All those videos of white women in nice kitchens making nasty food are all orchestrated by a Las Vegas magician who was basically put in charge of Facebook's video content service because his page was so popular. He couldn't do street magic tricks during the pandemic so he studied viral food videos and made the "white women can't cook" video meme.

how to make a story file
As I am preparing for Camp NaNo*, I have been working on my story file. It occurred to me this might not be common or popular practice. “Story File” is a name I gave it and maybe some of y’all have a different name with the same contents.
*There’s still time to apply to join my Camp NaNo cabin!
My Story File contains everything about my story that doesn’t go in the outline.
It’s broken up into major categories and specific templates. So without further ado, here is how I structure my Story File.
Intro
Title
Logline
Synopsis
Genre
Estimated Total Length (word count)
Draft Length Goal (word count)
Character Bank
Main characters and brief, one-sentence descriptions with ages
Themes and Character Development
Central Question
The Yes/No question that is being asked through the whole story
Should have objective qualities, rather than subjective
i.e. “Will they fall in love?” (subjective) vs. “Will they leave their partners and become a couple?” (objective)
Thematic Questions
These are the internal conflict questions that reside in your character(s) and your story
ex. “Can there really be a successful government?”
ex. “Does grief excuse bad actions?”
Themes at a Glance
Words or phrases that relate to the themes of the story
ex. person vs. nature
ex. isolation
ex. grief
ex. first love
Motivation / Stasis State / Final State
for each main character, you should write a sentence or two pertaining to these three things
Motivation: What is the drive behind this character and their past, present, and future actions? What part of their background makes them the way that they are? What are they looking for? What do they want out of this/a situation?
Stasis State: What are they like before the inciting incident? What problems and questions do they have?
Final State: What has changed about them and their outlook? What questions have they resolved? What has happened to their internal conflict?
Relationships
I usually make a little web of the MCs and their relationship to one another. One for the stasis and one for final.
Stasis: How do these characters see each other? How do they act toward the other? (All before the inciting incident)
Final: How do these characters see each other now? How has their idea of one another shifted?
Even if a character dies before the end, include the most recent relationship status in the Final web.
ex. this is how I organize it, using the Draw feature of Google Docs

Starlight (1/?)
Relationship: Bucky x Reader (female)
Summary: You fell in love with Sergeant Barnes in 1941. He promised you a wedding when he returned. But he never did return. 70 years later, you get a knock on your door from his best friend. How are you going to explain how you're still alive and why did Clint's wife call you nana?
(Takes place kinda during Age of Ultron when the Avengers meet Clint's family, but I'm not gonna stick to the movie)
Word Count: 803
Warnings: Childbirth (not really descriptive)

 2015
"Laura! I'm home!" Clint's voice echoes through the home, bringing a large grin to your face. Cooper and Lila sprint from your lap, giggling as they race to the door. You get up from your armchair, ready to greet him.
"Hey, Clint. Looking as heroic as ever," you tease his uniform. He enveloped you in a bone-crushing hug while his chest vibrated with laughter.
"Good to see you, too, old lady." You roll your eyes and step back. That's when you notice Natasha embracing the kids.
"Nat, save some hugs for me!" you exclaim and put your arms out. She picks you up and spins you like always. Even though you are much older than her, she is like your big sister. The door opens again and your smile drops as the rest of the superheroes pile in. One catching your eye.
"Y/N?" Steve breathes out, completely flabbergasted. The rest of the Avengers look puzzled at the interaction, but you aren't paying attention because you're too busy trying not to panic.
"I guess I have a lot of explaining to do."
Your hand clasps the chain around your neck and twirled the pendant. You were sitting in your armchair with Lila in your lap, the Avengers sitting around you. You avoid Steve's gaze.
"So, I'm alive," you state, causing Natasha to chuckle.
"I think we're past that," Steve replies, confusion still written clear across his face, mirroring that of his avenging buddies.
"Right, so I guess I can give you the shortened version. I found out I was pregnant after James left," Steve stiffens, but lets you continue. "I wrote to him as soon as I found out. He was over the moon. He wrote that he was going to marry me when he got back. Then, I went into labor."
 December 2, 1942
The soft pitter-patter of droplets plopping into the overflowing bucket would have filled the room had it been a normal day. Instead, the room was filled with wails of agony. From you. The pain was excruciating, like nothing you've felt before. It felt as if you were being ripped from the inside.
"Come on, Y/N! Push!" your mother yelled. Her voice seemed distant and her face blurry. Your eyes struggle to stay open. A mangled scream escaped your throat in response to her command. Your scream was quickly replaced with a new one, much smaller and inexperienced. Your mother's red-soaked hand held out a small bundle, one you were too tired to see as you slipped into the darkness that had clouded your vision.
You were awakened by the flash of lights as they were turned on above you. Your veins were burdened with an icy cold liquid that they carried throughout your body. Above you stood your mother with a small smile on her face.
"Where are they?" you croaked, panic sinking in. You struggle to sit up. You felt heavy.
"It's a girl," she stated simply. You heart flutters. You have a baby girl.
"Where is she?" you repeated. Wordlessly, she slipped from the room. Your heart was beating rapidly, you could feel your blood pumping through it. The door creaked open to reveal your mother with a blanket in her arms. You find the strength to lift your arms out to take hold of the bundle. You look down at her, tears brimming your eyes. Her eyes flutter open and icy blue peer back at you. The same icy blue you said goodbye to months ago.
"I wasn't supposed to live. I later discovered that my parents worked for Hydra, and like the good parents they were, had decided to try out their new experimental serum on me that kept me alive."
Steve's jaw was tight as if it were to drop if it were loosened.
"What's her name?" Steve asked. You smiled. You unclasp your necklace from your neck and open the locket. One side holds a picture of Buck, the other holds a picture of your daughter when she was just 3.
"Rosalie Barnes." Steve smiled as he looked at the pictures, remembering when Bucky told him what he wanted to name his future children.
"So Laura is..."
"My granddaughter. She and Clint know about my story. S.H.I.E.L.D. does too." He nods and looked down at his hand.
"Is she... still alive?"
"Rosalie? No, she died about 10 years ago. She lived a good life, though. She got herself a good husband who helped her get through business school and owned a couple of stores and real estate. She was a stellar girl, smart and witty like her father." You offer him a soft smile as you push back tears.
"You must've raised her well." Steve squeezes your arm.
"Yeah, but a mother's never supposed to outlive her children."
A/N: Let me know what think and if you wanna be tagged. This concept has been circling around my head for a while and I finally sat down to write it. This will be a long series if it goes according to plan.
