Introducing my newest work. It’s a slight step in a new direction for me because of materials used in its creation.

“parallels” 18x14”, acrylic, oil pastel, and repurposed plastic grocery bag on a cradled wood panel I found in the trash.

I’m very happy with the composition which brings to mind folk art and art from ancient cultures. The colors are also a step away from my usual choices, which honestly, was unintentional.

Introducing “Fresh Phosphenes”, the third small works painting from a new series of paintings on paper.

For this series, I gave myself a strict time limit and limited resources to create a new work of art. The hope was that these limitations would kickstart the creative process, deter overthinking, and keep me in the moment.

The paintings in this series were not touched up or added to after the time limit, when time ran out, the work stopped and the painting was considered finished.
