This was supposed to be a silly doodle, I don’t know what happened-

Long time ago, I made a ‘Poor Unfortunate Souls’ animatic (it didn’t last long, only made a couple of frames </3) around these two.

I was afraid to do his lineart as his muscles scared me. 😭 That’s why I put him off for so long but then I remembered my resolution this year is “push myself out of my comfort zone”, so I just did it—

My laptop acts weird whenever I open up the files of my DKC references (the Kongs and this file including K. Rool, Klump, and Krusha), I hope this doesn’t lead to it deleting/destroying the files because I WILL CRY. 💀 I gotta make a backup because I will not be doing all of this again, man.. I’ll just give up if it came to that point /hj

With all this recent talk of Bluster, it gave me the push to draw him. :) I haven’t had much time to doodle as I used to before, thanks to life and stuff,,

This is like concept art of him, I think I got his head right but I’m not feeling the suit design.. </3 I think imma give him the beige suit tbh, I really like it. Yes, he has a barrel pin on his lapel to show that he’s the owner to ‘Bluster Barrelworks’!

I think Bluster’s full name is “Bluster Jr.” (named after his father), or his mother named the factory after him.. 🤔

And yes, that’s a toupee/wig on his head. I’ve always wondered why he wore such a small toupee because we can still tell you’re bald, Bluster. 😭 /j Maybe it’s just city fashion I dunno-

Wanted to post some art since it’s been a hot minute of me posting art on this account (or any of my other accounts)

But I also wanna talk about that I’m gonna be taking a break from my Donkey Kong Country AU. Im losing motivation to write or draw anything that involves Donkey Kong which is pretty upsetting because I love him so much. However, I’ve been doing some OC art and now I’m comfortable to share them. Some of the art are WIPs but most of the art is sketches or line arts.

I’m still open for questions if you have any questions of them, they are practically one of my power couples in my OC universe lmao.

How is Wrinky and Cranky's relationship in your au?

Wholesome I’ll have to say, Wrinkly and Cranky are like those old couples that be chilling on the porch and have small talk here and there.

Wrinkly Kong is a sweet old lady who loves the Kongs so much and treats them like she is their own grandma. She loves to knit, read books, tell stories, workout, take small walks on the beach, and baby DK and Funky so much (they love her sm). The Kongs love her man Fr fr.

As for Cranky Kong it’s kinda the opposite but he means well. He is a grumpy old man who waves his cane around and orders Kongs when there is something he doesn’t like or what they are doing is wrong. Of course I gotta have him hit the Kongs with his cane, it’s just not Cranky. However, he is the most heartbroken one out of the family since DK Junior is his son and those two didn’t get along. He never stopped searching for him even when Wrinkly wants him to stay home and rest. He just wants his son back home.

Overall, the old couple is respected in the island lmao.

Bro ima be honest with you, that Part two was gonna be the final part but I didn’t want y’all to read a long ass Blog so I have to shorten it whomp whomp.

But the Final Part is what I’m excited for, maybe it’ll answer DK’s question who knows 😋

Visiting Eddie the Yeti (Second Part)

It's been two days since the crew left the Kong Island, Funky is snoring away on the passage seat while Swanky flies the plane while Diddy and DK look out the window to see they are close to Antarctica.

Diddy lights up as soon as he sees the icy waters and snowy islands "We're here!". Funky chokes on his saliva, startled from the yelling "Huh?... Oh shit we are". Swanky chuckles softly at them "indeed, there is the main area of all of the snowy islands around. That's where we're going."

"That very big island there?" DK asked.

"Yup" Swanky answered charmingly, "Now hold on tight, I'm going to land this plane". Swanky tilt the steering wheel down to make the plane downward, which the others hold on tightly.

The cold breeze soon hit their faces and flow through their fur as they go down. It's not an ordinary weather cold back home, the freeze is unbearable for any outsiders to take. Thankfully, Funky and DK has thick coats to keep themselves warm, but Diddy and Swanky... not so much.

Swanky soon landed the plane on the snowy ground and turns off the engine "Is everyone okay?".

Diddy is shivering violently from the cold as he shakes his head. DK gently scoops up Diddy and wraps his arms around him to keep him warm "it's okay, I got cha". Diddy sighed in relief as he feels the warmth then snuggles up "Thanks".

"So this is Antarctica huh" Funky lowers his sunglasses and look around. "Well part of it" Swanky said as he jumps down to get off the plane then adjust his coat, "The main area of this place is in the middle, that's where we're going".

Funky takes off his sandals and put on his boots before jumping off the plane next to Swanky "DK, there is boots around you so that you can wear them".

"Okay!" DK yelled then puts Diddy down and quickly put on his boots. Diddy peaked out of the plane, shivering "D D Dad, can I come down?". Funky chuckles at Diddy and opened his arms "Come on, kiddo, I'll catch ya". Diddy immediately jumped down into Funky's arms and snuggles up close.

DK soon falls down, face flat on the ground after attempting to jump "Ow".

Funky burst out laughing as he points at DK while Swanky goes through his backpack and put some earmuffs and a thicker scarf on Diddy "come on you two, let us not forget why we're here". DK spit out some snow then gets up on his feet "Right, I'm just not used to wearing boots".

"Shi if you want frost bites on your feet, then be my guest" Funky said jokingly.

DK huffed at Funky but shrugs it off. He turns his attention to Swanky as he dusts himself off "Where are we heading, Swanks". Swanky takes out a compass from his pocket and looks at it "It shouldn't be far; all we have to do is walk North and we'll be there in no time".

"Cool, lead the way" DK said then Swanky started walking with DK and Funky following behind.

The journey was heavy for the crew since they are not used to the cold environment, aside from Swanky. Thankfully, DK, Funky, and Swanky are strong enough to push pass the strong winds. However, Diddy is holding onto Funky as long as he can for warmth. Soon, the crew manage to find a cave in the distance.

Funky holds Diddy closely as he covers his face a bit "is that it?".

"Not quite but we can rest there" Swanky suggested. "Shit might as well, it's freezing out here" DK complained then starts walking to the cave with Funky and Swanky following behind him.

The crew soon makes their way to the cave and settled inside. Swanky takes off the backpack then skims through it to take out a flashlight and turns it on "Thank you for packing this, Funky". Funky laughs a bit as he looks at Swanky then down at Diddy "You okay?".

"Y yeah, just cold" Diddy answered with a small stutter. Swanky takes up a traveling cup and gives it to Diddy "here, darling, this will keep you warm".

DK looks around the cave in awe "Now this is an icy paradise, look how clear this cave is". Funky puts Diddy down as he whistles "No kidding, you can practically see yourself in this".

Diddy takes a peek into the icy wall and laughs to himself until he pauses for a moment. He squints his eyes a bit to see it closely then turns around and looks up "uh... guys".

The Kongs turn their attention to Diddy then where he is looking.

the crew froze as they stare into the eyes of the shadowed figure. The figure's eyes are pure white. No emotion. Just... glaring at them. Soon the figure comes out of the shadows in full sprint; revealing a very tall creature, covered in white fluffy fur, razored sharp teeth and claws, but wears a cloak with a small icy crystal to hold the cloak in place. It let out a roar, causing the cave to shake violently.

Funky and DK gets in front of Diddy and Swanky, ready to swing at the creature but Swanky cups up a pile of snow off the ground and throws it at the creature.

The creature's eyes fade into its normal state and shakes its head to get the snow off of its face then looks at Swanky.

Swanky crosses his arms as he narrows his eyes at the creature "Eddie....".

Eddie flinches a little then looks away feeling embarrassed "Eddie's Sorry...". Swanky sighs softly at him and pat his arm gently "it's okay, you didn't scare us".

"Haha yeah totally- thank god I don't wear pants I almost shit myself" DK whispers the last part anxiously.

Swanky shot a glare at DK then laughs a bit nervously "He doesn't mean that". Eddie bows his head in guilt and reaches his hand out to them "Eddie no threat... Eddie friend".

DK and Funky looks at each other, a bit concerned, until Diddy reach his hand out to touch Eddie's hand. Eddie is taken aback from the sudden touch and looks down at the young Kong. "Your hands are um... warm for a yeti" Diddy commented, hoping it doesn't come out wrong.

Eddie blinks a bit as he looks down at Diddy then burst out laughing. HIs laugh echos the cave which cause the surrounding to shake. Diddy tries to stay in place but slips and falls down on the floor with a yelp "Shit!".

Eddie soon calms down and whip a tear from his eye "Eddie like young monkey, who is thee Eddie speaks too".

"Uh... Diddy?" Diddy answered a bit nervously.

Eddie looks up to see DK and Funky then turns his head to look at Swanky as he points at them "Who are they?". Swanky walks next to Funky and put his hand on his arm "I'm happy you asked; This Kong right here is Funky Kong, he is my husband". Funky clears his throat and waves his hand up to greet Eddie "Yo!".

Eddie waves at Funky back happily "Hello Funky".

"And this is my brother Donkey Kong the Third, or you can call him DK for short" Funky chuckles as he bumps his elbow against DK's arm. DK rubs his arm with a small huff then look up at Eddie with a small smile "Uh... Hi". Eddie widens his eyes as he stares down at DK then moves his head close to him "You...".

DK backs up a bit "Whoa- aha what you mean by 'you'?".

Eddie soon started moving deep into the cave, which DK immediately followed. Funky put his hand out to grab DK but quickly got rejected by him "DK wait up!".

"Wait for us Dad!" Diddy shouted and started running to keep up with Funky. Swanky immediately pulls him close to him "Oh no let's not follow them". "What- but dad we can't just leave them alone like that" Diddy protested as he crosses his arms.

Swanky narrow his eyes a little, looking down at Diddy "if you go deeper into the cave, you will freeze, and we don't want that do we?". Diddy frowns at him then shakes his head "No...".

"It's better to leave them be" Swanky added as he bops Diddy's nose, "Trust me... you don't want to see within the deep ends of the cave".

I love Visiting Eddie the Yeti part 1 so far, I'm impressed that you got DK(DK III)'s PTSD and flashback so well and I love DK and Funky brothers opening up to each other. Your getting DK, Funky and Diddy's long journey to find and visit Eddie and find out about Dk and Funky's father(DK II/DK Jr.) has impressed me so well so far! I want to comfort DK, Funky and their family as well. (Comforts DK, Funky and their families)

Visiting Eddie the Yeti (Part 1)

DK is sitting on one of Swanky's balconies as he looks out at the sea, trailing away from reality. His thoughts started to spiral, his vision grew a bit blurry, and his memories started to play out of his mind. As he looks down at the beach, all he can is himself as a toddler with a younger version of Funky and his mother watching his father surf the waves. He shut his eyes slowly, trying not to shed a tear from the memory until his eyes shot wide open on hearing the door sliding open. He turns his head to look who it is and relaxes once he sees Funky by the door.

"What's up big man" Funky said cheerfully as he walks up to DK. "Eh nothing much, man, just looking at the ocean" DK replied while leaning forward on the railings. Funky stand next to him and hand him a smoothie he was holding "you sure? I can tell that you have something in mind".

DK laughs a bit nervously "What? Nah man I'm not.".

"Is it about dad?" Funky said softly.

DK stay silent as he looks down at the smoothie then slowly drinks it, not making eye contact with Funky.

Funky moves his hand on DK's shoulder then pulls him into a hug. DK sighs softly as he hugs him back "Thanks".

"Anytime" Funky said with a smile, "but this is your third time thinking about him, DK".

"I know but I couldn't help but wonder if he is even alive or dead" DK exclaimed as he put his hand on his cheek. Funky frowns at his brother then scratch his chin to think. "Well... we can think about it with some weed, it usually helps" Funky suggested as he turns his head to look at him.

"Pfft- alright I can hit a smoke or two" DK chuckled.

Funky laughs as he smacks DK's back "That's the spirit man! Let's get inside so that we can get them". DK nodded with a smile and follows Funky inside as he finishes his smoothie.

As the brothers head inside, Swanky looks up from his book and lower his reading glasses "well what are you two up to?". "Just gonna go smoke some weed, that's all" Funky answered as he walks to the stairs. Swanky hums a bit then look at DK "What's the occasion?".

"Oh um... I just wanted to get my mind off of things" DK said as he forced a small smile on his face. Swanky closes his book gently and take his glasses off "Funky, do I have permission to ask your brother something?".

"Permission granted" Funky finger point Swanky with a smile.

Swanky smiles at Funky then look at DK "Lovely, now then what if I tell you that I know someone who can answer your questions of your father's whereabouts?". DK's face lit up a bit at Swanky "Really? Who".

"Why my friend, Eddie" Swanky smiles as he gets up from the couch and goes to the closet to open it, "Eddie is a Yeti who has the ability to look into the past, present, and future thanks to his icy location. Thanks to him, I feel much closer to my family and my ancestors. If you ask him about your father, he will hold the key to the answer you seek".

"Holy shit... Well, what are we waiting for let's go!" DK said excitedly as he looks at Funky and Swanky.

"I don't know, DK, it is a long journey" Funky said as he crosses his arms. "Then we can take the plane, one of yours to be exact since Eddie is located on one of the islands near Antarctica" Swanky suggested. Funky hummed a bit, feeling unease about the idea "Still don't think this is a good idea- I mean don't get me wrong, I want to know what happened to my dad too but if there is something like heavy then I don't want to see it".

"Oh, come on Funks, this is our only chance to know what really happened to our dad" DK said desperately, "Maybe it'll help us find out where he's been all these years".

Funky looks at DK, seeing how desperate he is, then let out a sigh "Alright, I'll go prepare the plane".

"YES!" DK cheered as he throws his arms in the air then brings Funky into a bear hug. Funky chuckles as he hugs him back "go ask Diddy if he wants to come while I get the plane started". "Oh, shit you right, DIDDY!" DK yelled as he runs upstairs to get Diddy.

"I'm going to prepare some coats and scarfs for us, I'll be coming as well" Swanky said with a smile. Funky smiles down at Swanky then pulls him close by the waist "Babe, you know me and DK can handle the cold".

"I know, but I don't want you to get sick for the thousandth time from the cold" Swanky teases a bit as he cups Funky's cheek and plant a gentle kiss on his nose, "Now go". Funky smiles warmly from the kiss then return the affection by kissing Swanky on the lips "Alright I'm going- oh make sure to pack up some snacks, knowing Diddy and DK they will get hungry along the way". Swanky chuckles at Funky, knowing it's true, then disappears to the kitchen to pack up some snacks while Funky goes through the drawers and grab his plane key.

After a while, the group huddle up near the plane. Funky and DK throws some small bags in the small compartment while Swanky helps Diddy adjust his scarf. "Hey dad, what's it like over there since you've been there before?" Diddy asked as he looks at Swanky with a smile. Swanky thinks for a bit then smile back at him "Well it is very cold, but it is a gorgeous sight. The island he is living has little food, however, so me and my family have been sending him some fruit and meat for him to eat".

"Wait meat?" DK interrupted.

"Why yes he is a yeti" Swanky answered.

The kongs look at each other and at Swanky. "What it's true" Swanky shrugs at them then gets up on his feet, "Is the plane ready already". Funky slowly nodded his head "Yeah it is". Swanky put on his sunglasses and walk to the plane with his hands on his hips and Diddy following behind.

Funky helps Swanky up in the front seat while DK helps Diddy climb on the back seat of the plane. Funky turns his head to look at DK "You ready?".

DK inhales softly as he looks at Funky then nodded his head with a smile "let's do this!". Funky laughs out loud at DK's determination then put DK in a headlock to ruffle his hair "that's the spirit!". The brothers laugh in joy as they hop on the plane, having Funky in the driver seat.

Funky takes off his sunglasses then puts on his goggles "This is going to be a long journey, y'all. Sit back, relax, put ya seatbelts on, and enjoy the ride". He turns on the engine and starts driving on the trail then lifting up the plane in the air to fly.

Diddy sticks his head out a bit as he looks down at the water, in awe "Wow, I will never get enough of how beautiful the ocean is". He turns his head to look at DK, who is looking out at the ocean. He fiddles with his fingers a bit as he sits there then pat on DK's arm.

DK blinked a bit and look down at Diddy "What's up little buddy?".

"DK, you okay?" Diddy asked, "You are spacing out so much".

"Oh- was I doing that again? My fault little D, I didn't mean to worry you like that" DK pats Diddy's head gently. Diddy snickers at the small head pat then look up at him with a smile "it's fine, DK, don't worry about it".

DK chuckles a bit at Diddy and goes back to looking at the ocean. His smile slowly goes away as he fades out of reality once again. Throughout the trip, all he can hear is voices coming in and out of his ears as his vision blurred up and turn into swirls. He feels like he can't breathe or speak. His feet started to tap on the floor anxiously, his hand twitches on his lap, and his breathe slowly grew rapidly.

"DK...".

DK gasped a bit from the voice. He looks forward to lock eyes with Funky, who is staring at him through the mirror. He exhales softly in relief and adjust himself to sit up, looking around to see that it is now nighttime. Diddy and Swanky are asleep at this time.

"DK... you know you can talk to me" Funky said softly, "I can tell you are nervous about this".

DK bite his lower lip a little then shakes his head "I can't lie to you anymore man... I've been thinking about dad recently and it's messing with my head. I tried to forget all about it with Candy, spending time with grandma, drinking a bit at the bar, but nothing seems to work. I just want to get it over with so that everything can be normal again ya know?".

Funky stayed silent as he listened to DK and started to speak "Yeah I get what you mean... It isn't easy to forget the person that raised you when you were a kid. You and dad are close, really close. I understand you are nervous, but once we figure out the truth you will feel closer to him. To be completely honest with you, I am nervous too".

"You nervous? Ain't no way man" DK exclaimed.

Funky nodded his head "Yup... I don't know what we will discover when we meet this Eddie guy, but fuck it ya know? And whatever happens, we can always let it all out". DK grinned at Funky from his words then let out a soft yawn.

"Get some sleep big guy, it's gonna be a long night" Funky claimed as he opens an energy drink with one hand. DK, not saying a word, leans his back against the seat and closes his eyes to rest.

Funky is right... it is a long journey.

What would be Funky and Swanky's best/favourite recipes?

I’ll have to say their famous Margarita: Pineapple Charms.

Swanky brings in the best pineapple from one of the Fruit Island he owns and prepares it for Funky to mix the juices with the margarita in an actual Pineapple that got turned into a cup. It has its charming taste when someone drinks it.

The “Pineapple Charm” is one of the most popular drinks at Funky’s bar along with the rest of the margaritas.
