A note about my blog.

I am currently a bit inactive, since I'm trying to catch up on my [Bluesky] account.

I will be inactive for a little longer because I am trying to add alt texts to ALL of my artworks posted here. Sadly, it's a bit hard to me, since I never added alt texts before, and I'm often unsure how I should write and describe it.

Feel free to suggest any changes/additions to the alt texts I add! I will be really thankful for that, since my English can be broken at times, and I love getting feedback and getting better at it :)

Dialogue writing tip

There is a popular writing advice circling around the Internet, it says that it's a good thing to write a sentence as your character to imagine how they speak. Another one says that putting your character in certain situations helps you decide their personality and how they act. Here is something from me. Choose some basic emotions. Now, write a sentence in-character reacting to that emotion. Rewrite the same sentence on three different "stages". A brief reaction to that emotion, a medium one, and a strong/extreme one.

Here are some examples of emotions you can use. 😠 Annoyed > Angry > Furious 🙂 Cheerful > Happy > Overjoyed 🤢 Displeased > Disgusted > Sickened 😓 Moody > Sad > Miserable 😨 Uneasy > Scared > Petrified

Of course, you can customize this exercise. Add as many emotions and stages as you wish, add contexts to them, or maybe make in-between stages. It's your story, make it as wild or as coffee-shop-au as you wish!

Note that I had no idea how to name some of these emotions, sorry for that! ^^"

Dream journal entry (Feb 2024)

Sharing this because I think this will make make a cool, vague writing/art prompt!

Today after waking up, all I remembered from my dream was this oddly poetic quote: "How tall the ceiling needs to be, for you to consider it sky? How tall it needs to be so you won't take your hat off whilst below it?"

Did you know? Or did you forget? You can do whatever you want with your art. Put random scribbles wherever. Horizontal lines over your character. Add dots everywhere and on everything. Draw eyes different than the rest of the face. Change art styles halfway through. Cut and glue paper cutouts. Use paints and markers together. Use all the filters. Use photos on top to add texture.

You can do what you want. Like literally literally literally.

Add a rubber ducky in the corner for no reason, put text in different languages on the background, leave your handprints or wipe your fingers on the paper.

Go have fun now this stuff isn't meant to be stressful for you

From paid art/writing courses, what are the ones that you would recommend the most to other artists/writers who wish to get better at what they are doing?

What did you learn? Anatomy, worldbuilding, design?

What is the price? Is it worth the price?

What platform is it on? Udemy, skillshare? Maybe it's a book?

(Bonus points if the course creator is actually an artist who will be supported with the money from course)

The works of art you create are way more than you think. They reflect parts of your soul and your journey as not only an artist, but a human being.

Even if your art is amateur, weird, ridiculous, a beginner or simple, it is always deeply connected to you and the world you live in, sometimes just vaguely.

This is not "content", this is art, a language of emotions and history of individual human beings and the world they live in.

don't call what you create "content". regardless of what it is. that's the devil talking. call it art, call it writing, call it music, call it analysis, call it editing, literally just call it what it is
