a lil self reflection - life won't always go in the way you want or wish to be. you may have put in your best efforts to change the course of your life. you may also have moments where you pray long & hard for something, anything. but despite your best attempts, nothing seemed to work. why? it isn't because you're not worthy of it. but you might be worthy of something better, greater even. maybe all those doors closing on you might be leading you to the door that's meant for you to open. so don't lose hope. it will take some time and that's okay. enjoy the journey, take a few stops along the road to admire the little things in front of you. yes life is hard, there will be difficult days but give yourself some grace. you're doing well, don't worry. 🤍🌙✨️

background redraw from one of my favourite games - Gris ⋆.ೃ࿔* :･

the dream to finally play Gris came true this year and aaaaa i love it so, so much. it is hands down the most beautiful game ever. i cried when i reached the end :'D i think when you connect to the story and understand Gris's journey while playing the game, you'll understand why it's a very emotional story. it was easy for me to connect with Gris because like her, i've dealt with my own fair share of heavy grief in the past and let me tell you, playing this game kind of took me out to revisit the old feelings of grief that i may or may not have pushed down these past few years. (but in a healthy way type of 'visit', i promise).

aside from that it's a very fun and relaxing game with tons of puzzles. i will for sure would like to replay Gris again and again. and the art? so lovely inspiring!! i just had to redraw one of the screencaps from the game. ^^

my entry for @/lemntii 's dtiys challenge on instagram! ˚ ༘ ೀ⋆｡˚

this painting was definitely a journey, during the process of it i was reminded of how challenging it can be to get past the "ugly" stage of the painting process. the early stages might not look the best obviously because it's not refined yet. sometimes it's hard not to overthink so much about it. i bet artists and creators alike would understand how testing it can be when you're at the beginning stages of your craft. it might not make sense at first but just trust the process ;)

first dtiys challenge i'm participating in by @/liliyth on ig !! ⚘

i'd thought that it would be a good change of scenery to join a dtiys challenge to combat a slight art block that i'm currently feeling 😬 since the usual art i post on my page are mostly environmental themed, this might look a little out of place but i don't really mind it. maybe i just need a little break from drawing backgrounds all the time and draw other things. hopefully this little art block will pass soon so i can get back to drawing sceneries :')

i sketched this one on a whim last night - a bit of backstory, i caught myself about to fall into an art block while working on another background painting so i thought that maybe i should draw something else. plus it's been a while since i drew character designs digitally, most of the time i would just draw them in my sketchbook. 🤭
