Eagle Sun being Noa-phobic in the beginning, while a funny gag, was also because she viewed him as spineless.
Noa was resourceful and clever way before he leads Eagle Clan to freedom. He already possessed great skills that would only enhance with age.
BUT the brain was empty.
Noa’s major flaw at the start of the movie (which stems from Eagle Clan’s culture & politics) is that he didn’t question things. He didn’t question why things were a certain way. He didn’t think deeper on their ways of life or on the ways of the world. He simply followed orders.
“Why can’t we take all 3 eggs?” “Because it is the law.” He says like a mantra, parroting what he’s been told. Nevermind that the reason they shouldn’t take all available eggs is so wild eagles don’t die out in their area, and can continue to fly free. No, this is not what Noa focuses on. Only the law. Not the why behind the law. It doesn’t matter to him. Not yet.
It pisses Sun off that Noa can be so gotdamn talented and yet so obtuse. From what we know, Sun has always been a bit rebellious. She loved Koro and Eagle Clan, but disliked their rite of retrieving wild eggs. Koro has to comfort her because it disturbs her so. For her, it does not matter that it is just “tradition”.
Maybe I’m focusing way too much on a bird in an ape movie, but Sun’s viewpoint largely reflects Noa’s character arc.
Sun does not and never hated Noa. She loves him as Koro did and sees his virtues. This is why she follows his journey and doesn’t go ahead on her own, because surely she’d have a much faster time tracking down Eagle Clan via air than following in Noa’s slower footsteps.
She cares for Noa. She’s just frustrated with him because from her POV, he is the embodiment of wasted potential. Only doing and believing what he’s told, despite having the full capabilities to excel past it.
Which is why once Noa comes into his own, once he starts thinking with his own brain, once he declares that “the law is wrong”, she not only respects him, but sees him as someone worth bonding to.

Just thinking of the mouth-acting quirks of these Peninsular dopes.
Ioan's "I'm so clever" pout
Sean's "I'm not paid enough for this shit" jaw thrust
Daragh's "This sounds like a joke but I'm actually threatening your life" smirk
Jamie's "He's my husband, your honor" BEAM.

Full character design- #2
Erin Hunter character- #2
WC character- #2
*[ design info ]: Her ears where choped a bit by frostbite and a bit by birds of prey, and her paws are also a bit worn out by frostbite but also walking on rough, hard and sharp stones of the mountains. She also has a few broken & missing teeth from gnawing on bones. She holds golden eagle's femur in her jaws, and theres also this bird's feathers on the ground.*
AU's info/ headcanons:
She's Snow Hare's sister,
and Sharp Hail's mother, and in my AU he's Quiet Rain's ex-houseband,
So, by that meaning she's Clear Sky's & Gray Wing's grandma <3
ps. I made her a bit simillar to Clear Sky

Note
If it doesn't fall into spoiler territory, do you have any facts or information about the houses? What makes them distinct from one another?
Of course! You will also receive additional information about the houses in game! And, as always, feel free to ask any clarifying questions if you have any.
So, as I said in the intro post, the way students are sorted is by home nation. During the school phase (Chapters 1 to 5), there's really no difference between the houses besides which characters you'll have more opportunities to talk with.
During the war phase (Chapter 6 to 10), is when houses really matter. By tying the houses to the respective nations, when you choose a house you align yourself with that nation.
Each house/route will have a different opinion and approach to the war as well as different secrets to find. There is no "true"/"right" route(s).
That said, there is information about the houses/routes under the cut.
