A = Admiration (what do they absolutely adore about you?)

*Trigger Warning: Divorce, Alcoholism, Death of a Loved One

He admires the fact that you're a fighter— just like him. Growing up, it seemed the universe had it out for you. It started with your parents' divorce at the age of 7— your father moving across the country to be with the new woman he loved. Your mother couldn't handle it and turned to alcohol to ease her pain, leading her to become verbally abusive. She blamed you for the divorce, telling you that your inadequacies as a daughter are what drove your father away. You were finally taken out of your toxic household, moving in with your grandmother at 11 years old. However, 5 years later, your grandmother developed cancer and passed, leaving you completely alone at the age of 16. You went into the system but ran away after a year of living under those horrible conditions. You spent the next two years supporting yourself on the streets, getting help from the benevolent Quarter witches.

All that hardship forced you to become guarded, closing your heart off as all you were ever met with was disappointment after disappointment. The pain made you resilient and after hearing your story, Klaus could not help but be in awe of you.

B = Body (what is their favorite part of your body?)

Klaus loves your hips. He loves running his hands over your curves and valleys. His lips will trek every inch of skin there, praising it as your most sensual area.

C = Cuddling (how do they like to cuddle?)

He loves having your head against his chest, feeling your breath fan across the expanse of his bare skin. Klaus will run his fingers through your hair as you cuddle closer to his side. It brings him a great deal of comfort having you so close to him, knowing that you are safe. Often times he'll peer down and watch you, loving your existence. After all, you are his favorite work of art.

D = Dates (what does their ideal date with you look like?)

The two of you loved cooking together and trying out new recipes. Once a month, you two will stand in the kitchen attempting to recreate a recipe you discovered. Some attempts went really well and others were not so great but the two of you had fun regardless. It was one of your favorite activities to do together.

E = Emotions (how do they express emotion around you?)

It took him a moment to be vulnerable with you. He was uncertain if you would use that vulnerability against him or not. However, after months of reassurance that you weren't going anywhere, he finally let his guard down— revealing to you the man behind the fearsome hybrid facade. He expresses himself to you physically rather than verbally. On days when he's tired or burdened, he is especially clingy, finding comfort in your touch.

F = Family (do they want one? If they do, when?)

Klaus would love to have another little him running around the compound, especially since he missed out on so much of Hope's life. However, you are not quite ready to be a mom yet, which he respects and understands. He would be lying though if he said he wasn't counting the days till you finally tell him you're ready.

G = Gifts (how do they feel about gift giving? What are their habits when it comes to this?)

Aside from his performance in the bedroom, gift-giving is the biggest way Klaus expresses his love. When he first started courting you, he would leave your favorite flower on your doorstep every day. At first, you were skeptical of the Hybrid and his intentions, but after his continued persistency you finally gave in. Once the two of you started dating, the gifts elevated to jewelry, dresses, and a car.

H = Holding Hands (when/how do they like to hold hands?)

Klaus is really big on PDA, wanting everyone to know you are his. However, you are not so adamant, so you compromised on hand holding. Whether you are walking through the quarter or having dinner with his family, your hand is in his. You honestly find it adorable.

I = Injury (how would they act if you got hurt?)

He is instantly by your side, assessing your damages for himself. If it is a self-inflicted injury, he will tease you for your clumsiness but ensure that you are okay and not severely injured. If the injury is inflicted upon you by someone else, God rest their soul. No one gets away with hurting what is his.

J = Jokes (do they like to joke around with or prank you? how?)

You two engage in witty banter that is quite amusing to the onlookers of your relationship. The two of you really enjoy trying to verbally one-up the other, plus it keeps your relationship alive.

K = Kisses (how do they like to kiss you?)

Slow and sensual. Klaus is a passionate person and that is very reflective in his lovemaking. He never wants you to doubt the love he has for you and he makes that clear through every kiss.

L = Love (how do they show you they love you?)

Apart from gift-giving, he shows you how much he loves you through the little touches he leaves on your body, lighting your skin on fire. When the two of you are alone, his hands are all over you, exploring every inch of your body as if it is the first and last time he will be able to touch it.

M = Memory (favorite memory together?)

His favorite memory is when he heard you say I love you for the first time. It had been after one of the Mikaelsons’ famous parties and you had a long week, so you had a little too much fun. Once the party ended, you were in no state to go back to your home, so Klaus carried you to his bedroom. After helping you get undressed and washing you up, he placed you in one of his Henley's and you tucked you under his sheets. You thanked him for taking care of you and, in your drunken stupor, revealed that you loved him.

Your favorite memory is when you got caught in the rain walking back to the Compound after a quick run to Rousseau's. You embraced the inconvenience gleefully, laughing as raindrops pelted your skin. You twirled around the rain, enjoying the feeling of the water washing over you, and beckoned to your boyfriend— who had vamped under an awning. Klaus called you a madwoman but eventually relented, joining you in the rain. The two of you danced together, laughing as you were drenched to the bone. Any onlookers must have thought you two were crazy, waltzing in the rain, but the two of you didn't care. This was your special moment.

N = Nightmare (what is their worst fear?)

His greatest fear is losing you— via his own doing or someone else's. You reminded him of the person he used to be before the cruelty of his father and the betrayal of his mother tarnished him. You unlocked a part of himself he thought he lost forever. So the thought of losing you petrifies him. He is afraid of the person he would become if he ever lost you.

He also fears disappointing you— afraid he'll never live up to the image of him you have in your mind. Ultimately, afraid that after one too many slip-ups you'll see him for the fraud he thinks he is and leave.

O = Oddity (what is one quirk they have?)

To most people's surprise, Klaus is a really good listener. He doesn't just listen to listen, he listens to hear. It was a quality of his you greatly appreciated as it made you feel valued. He listens intently to everything you say from the most mind-numbing chatter to a passionate oration about your inner thoughts.

P = Pet Names (what do they like to call you?)

He calls you love and his little warrior— for your relentlessness and bravery.

Q = Quality Time (how do they like to spend time with you?)

Klaus loves it when you model for him in his art room. He is obsessed with the image of you and enjoys finding new ways to recreate your beauty. You don't mind modeling for him because you enjoy the time the two of you get to spend together. Plus, you love watching Klaus work his craft. To you it is awe-inspiring.

R = Rhythm (what song reminds you of them?)

I Only Have Eyes For You- The Flamingos

You developed a love for vintage music after moving in with your grandmother. Every Sunday afternoon she would put on her records and make her famous Bread Pudding.

One of the benefits of having a boyfriend who was over 1,000 years old was gaining access to his expansive music collection. One day while the two of you were going through his records, he put this song on and slow danced with you. Now every time you hear it, you think of him.

S = Secrets (how open are they with you?)

Klaus attempted to hide things from you in the beginning but learned very quickly that was the fastest way to lose you. So now the two of you are very open with each other.

T = Time (how long did it take you to get together?)

It took Klaus a while to break down your walls. After a month and a half, you were sick of the steady growing garden in your room and finally let him take you on a date. Despite having lived in New Orleans your entire life, you had yet to see the magnificence of the Big Easy. The first half of your date was spent with Klaus giving you an exclusive tour of the city— him showing you the city the way he knew it was meant to be shown. After the tour, you ended up on a rooftop overlooking the Mississippi River.

U = Upset (how do they act when you’re upset?)

Whenever you’re upset with Klaus, he mopes around the compound, annoying everyone around him. He goes above and beyond to make up for upsetting you, doing whatever it takes to make you forgive him. You’ve usually already forgiven him after an hour or so, but you secretly enjoy the extra attention he gives you, so you withhold your forgiveness for an extra hour.

V = Vaunt (what are they proud of? Do they like to show you off?)

Klaus is extremely proud of you. He has watched you hold your own in countless situations, standing up to Rebekah and facing off with a few of the Mikaelsons’ enemies. He is in awe of your strength and bravery. He adores you and will take advantage of any opportunity that allows him to show you off.

W = Warrior (how do they feel about you fighting? Would they fight for you, beside you, etc?)

He knows it would be futile to try and stop you from fighting for the people you love, but he doesn’t necessarily like it. He would feel a lot more comfortable knowing you somewhere safe but he respects you and lets you make your own choices. However, there are some fights he deems too dangerous, and will put his foot down. He values your safety above all else.

X = X-Ray (how well are they able to read you?)

Klaus prides himself on his ability to read you like a book. He can tell exactly what you’re thinking just from one look in your eyes. You find this skill of his endearing when it’s not a nuisance to you. There have been several schemes, granted bad ones, that have popped in your mind that Klaus has prevented before you even got the chance to act on them.

Y = Yes (how would they propose to you?)

Klaus would propose to you in the grandest and most romantic way. You’d wake up to a trail of rose petals leading out of Klaus’s bedroom into the main room. Along the way, each of his siblings — in addition to Hope and Hayley — would greet you, holding drawings of memorable moments in your relationship with Klaus. They each would read a tiny speech, which he wrote, describing the moment and its importance. Tears would well in your eyes as you literally walked through your memories with Klaus. You would finally reach the entrance of the Compound where Klaus is waiting for you, surrounded by a garden of rose arrangements. Knowing what is about happen, before he could open his mouth and get down on one knee, you would eagerly say yes, causing a chuckle to leave his lips. He would ask you if he could at least ask the question and you would nod, allowing him the opportunity to ask. Once he finishes his declaration of love and asks the question, you would tease him, denying the proposal. However, Klaus would be unbothered, reminding you that you already said yes. A blush would creep up your cheeks as everyone laughs and cheers and Klaus would slide the ring on your finger, whispering “I love you, Y/N M/N Mikaelson.”

Z = Zen (what makes them feel calm?)

You are Klaus’s home. He feels calmest whenever he is with you, holding you tightly in his arms. You provide him a sense of tranquility, knowing everything will be okay as long as he has you.

Summary: I know of no Queen of England, save my mother. And I will accept no other queen, except my mother.

It was the king's thirty-fifth birthday, so a celebration was held in his honor. The whole royal family, the council, some ambassadors, and a few select nobles had been invited to attend the event.

Normally, the event would be put together by the king's wife, the Queen. But when she passed away three years ago, her daughter, Princess Elizabeth Coraline Mikaelson took over, assisted by her aunt, as well as her mother's old ladies-in-waiting, when possible.

Each guest was chosen by the women, and the event was strictly invite only, with the threat of imprisonment, and even beheading, keeping any unwanted personnel away.

But sadly, that did not mean all pests were kept out, as a result of the council's insistence for the king to begin seeking a new bride, so they could secure a male heir, Camille O'Connell had made her way onto the invite list.

She was a distant cousin of the current king of France, and with Sean O'Connell constantly pushing the matter, the council had decided to accept her as a candidate. That was the official statement the council had written down in the documents. But everybody knew the real reason.

Camille was the closest, blue-eyed, blond woman that the council would find, with the most royal blood to be crowned queen.

There were many women who were much closer to various royal families, but all of them had been rejected by the king.

So the council, in one last Hail Mary, had prayed that this woman, who shared a resemblance to the late Queen, would be enough for the King to accept.

But so far, after the initial introduction, the king hadn't glanced twice at the women.

This didn't dismay the women, who constantly tried to involve herself with the people at the party.

She tried to mimic the late Queen by trying to involve herself with the politics, but was quickly dismissed by a quick glare and hiss from her brother, to, "Join the ladies."

So with her head hung low, she picked up her skirts, and approached the women, only to be greeted with fans. Katherine's bright red lips formed into a smirk, Camille couldn't see it from the other side of the fan, but the ex-lady-in-waiting's eyes said it all.

The blond was unwanted.

"It's quite pathetic isn't it." Katherine said, snapping her fan shut onto her hand as she stared down at Camille, "I would have thought for sure the council would have taken the hint by now."

"Well they are men. What can you expect?" Bonnie Mikaelson, the wife of the youngest Mikaelson sighed, joining her sister-in-law. She glanced at Camille, "As a woman, I would have expected better of you. You should be able to take a hint, no."

The blond grew angry, "How dare you! I'm going to be the next Queen! I suggest you show me some respect!"

This outburst caught everybody's attention.

Klaus stopped talking with his brothers, his eyes narrowing at the women, he took a step towards her, only to be stopped by a manicured hand.

He turned to see his sister smiling at him. Without a word, she nodded towards her niece, who was making her way towards Camillie.

"And who dares spread such lies?" Elizabeth asked, joining the group of women, her tone low. Her expression was calm and controlled, unlike Camillie's who was beginning to huff from her outburst.

"My brother! Sean said so!" Camille answered proudly.

"That's unfortunate. Your brother must be lying to you." Elizabeth informed the women. "I know of no Queen of England, save my mother." Camille opened her mouth to try and argue, but she was stopped by the look in the princess' eyes, "And I will accept no other queen, except my mother."

This left everybody speechless.

Nobody could counter the princess' words, the only one who could, was the king, and he was remaining silent.

If the princess herself refused to acknowledge any other queen, then what could they do?

The last Queen was beloved by the people, the king himself trying to gain another, would not please the people, leaving the council with no other option then try to gain the royal family's approval.

But now, the princess had publicly refused to acknowledge any other Queen, other than her mother.

Katherine and her husband smiled, proud.

If you looked closely, you could see Lady Rebekah's eyes grow glossy, well a tear slid down Lady Bonnie's.

And the king…

Klaus' eyes were wide, as he stared at his daughter.

"Caroline…" He whispered, the name that left a sweet taste in his mouth, and a hum in his ears.

If only she could see their child now.

The older Elizabeth got, the more she reminded him of her mother.

Her hair, the same sunshine shade of mother's hair.

Her eyes, the same bright pools her mother's were.

But this…

Back straight, head held high, the strength in her eyes. The very image of a Queen, just like Caroline was.

The king walked over to his daughter, the attendants wondering what he would do, Elizabeth stared her father in the eyes, having no intention of taking back her words.

Klaus smiled, pleased to see her determination, which only reassured him that he was about to do the right thing.

He embraced his daughter, before turning to some of the most important and influential people in the nation. "Let me be clear, I have no intention of re-marrying. As your princess clearly stated, England will only have one Queen. And so long as I reign, her Queen will only ever be Caroline Elizabeth Mikaelson."

"But what about an Heir, your majesty?" Sean pleaded, trying to get the king to see reason.

Klaus smiled, and turned to his daughter, "England already has an Heir, when my time comes. Elizabeth Coraline Mikaelson will become Queen, and King."

Elizabeth nods, smiling, she agrees with her father, "The Queen's Daughter and The King's Heir."

I know this was short, it was sad/sweet/heartwarming, with multiple layers of emotions (at least that's what I thought), but it was short nonetheless. I feel kind of guilty writing short drabbles, because my disclaimers are so long, so this is the disclaimer I'm going to use for shorter fics. I know some of you may say, why don't I use this shorter version for all my fics then, well because like the disclaimer says, I'm scared of getting sued (not enough to stop writing - but enough to have a long ass disclaimer), and the long disclaimer gives me a peace of mind, because I searched up everything I needed in a fanfic disclaimer, and then created my disclaimer based off that, so I could cover all my bases.

Also, the prompt line came from "The Tudors", delivered by Marry, and I just loved it. And ofcourse, my Klaroline obsessed brain came up with this as a result. On Bonnie, Klaus, and Darklina

I am mainly going to be talking about the shows with some references to the books for the people who haven't read them (Shadow and bone/ The Vampire Diaries/ The Originals)

In case you are not familiar, in shadow and bone Kirgan discovers a girl with immense power, he is also powerful himself, she has the definite potential to be his equal, he tries to manipulate and seduce her and those dynamics are explored.

I think General Kirigan and Klaus Mikaelson are pretty similar characters, in terms of them being the most powerful/oldest men in their respective universes, their cunning, knowledge, manipulative ways, and their quest for power. These two characters are not exactly the same but a fair comparison can be made between them. There is a difference in the sense that Kirigan is calculated when Klaus is calculated too but rash.

The reason I am making a comparison to these two characters is that I want to point out how badly The Vampire Diaries/ The Originals writers didn't give Klaus consistent/logical characterization and the depth he deserved. They did give him a great, understandable backstory but in my opinion, they failed to stay consistent with him as well as other characters. In the books, Klaus was 6,000+ plus years older and almost completely evil like a homelander-type evil.(Not similar in character but a similar capacity for evil) and in the shows, they made him more of a Loki/anti-hero which was a good choice on the writer's part. In my opinion, the things he did that kind of ruined his character in the shows were his relationship with Caroline, his inability to kill Elena even once, and the lack of representation of his wit and age(they kind of had him do the same old, threaten people in a British accent and be violent and it worked because joseph morgan is hot) and the birth of hope(miracle baby) and that whole redemption arc. Marcel was already Klaus's first son but their dynamic was filled with microaggressions and wasn't filled with justice and his death.

I really believe klonnie could have gone amazingly and stabilized Klaus and Bonnie's characters in a good way if the writers had any artistic vision and understanding of their characters, but they let their racism and over pandering to the fans destroying art, and their ability to story-tell, not exploring the fundamental desires of their characters made it a massive train wreck.

Bonnie and Alina's character fundamentals are also very similar.

"For a thousand years I've watched my wife and son suffer. Longing for a part of themselves they could feel, but never touch. Tonight, I will ensure that suffering ends." When @klarolinepositivity week was announced, I had plans. To which I changed and scrapped last minute because it didn't feel good enough. So, I intended to bomb as many people as possible with love. However, this week hit and it was a less than stellar one. I didn't have much time to reblog as many people as I wanted for the first two days and had intended to make more graphics to highlight fan fiction writers that I love and adore.

I wavered between this fic and Forbidden because I love myself some Viking Klaus but I landed on this one because of you wrote Caroline. She is the perfect mafia Caroline that I want to see in my fics- ruthless. I'm completely honest when I say that I cannot wait to see what else you have in store for us.

It has been WEEKS since I've read this fic and it STILL has me chuckling. Like SERIOUSLY. Klaus getting that call about his wife being kidnapped and he is like "good luck with that" and hangs up is just hilarious.

I love a self-sufficient Caroline.

This fic has made me deep dive and binge a few of your Klaroline fics (also, scrolling past all the Torchwood has me curious) and while I LOVE them all, this one will always be my favorite. Please, keep writing for us.

It is one that I come to when I need something familiar and happy to come home to and the idea of serial killer Caroline is just up my alley.

While I suck at leaving my comments (I NEED to be better) I have to admit that you are honestly a fantastic writer and I have read almost all of your fics, and have loved everyone of them.

Acrimonious Accompaniment @supremeuppityone

This is a historical Regency human AU. It’s the day after Klaus and Caroline’s arranged marriage — and it’s just as uncomfortable as it is unconsummated. Or, how 2 stubborn people + misunderstandings = sexytimes.

Almost like everyone on this list, I pondered what fic I wanted to highlight. In the end, I went to my love of historical fics and chose the one you wrote for me. This is just beautiful with the PINING and miscommunication between Klaus and Caroline. You're writing has a light and humorous feel that brings me happiness to come back to when I need a pick-me-up.

The one in which Klaus finds his soulmate, gets bitten, hides his mating mark from her and waits for the day she'll let him give her one back. Fluffy, mildly angsty slow burn with possible super hot hybrid smut in later chapters.

Maddie, I do not know what is better, the sex or the lead up to the sex. Because HOLY SHIT this fic is hot. I did almost pick Could I Choose You but changed my mind and went with the first fic of course I've ever read. Honestly, you might be the best smut writer in the fandom and I love you for it. I still can't get over that you run Klarolinelookalikes.

Okay- so thats the end of my fic rec. I could have went on and on and on and on because there are so many people in this fandom that are beautiful and wonderful but I had to stop somewhere. When making this list, I had intended to grace all of you with beautiful graphics for your fics- but as you can see, that was ambitious and time was not on my side.
