Damn, ppl do this waiting for a job offer thing all the time?
#Fucking sucks#I literally interviewed yesterday at 430pm and I'm already impatient#I also had the one thursday morning that I did which I found out I am currently the sole candidate for#Although I expect to see that change very soon because I learned that from another person in my program#Who is probably also going to apply though I'm not sure if she'd have much of an advantage over me ironically#Because she's vastly overqualified but it's also not in her degrees wheelhouse#And I'm also really hoping my travel partner is going to be given the chance to interview for the position#Because I think it'd suit them well and they didn't get a fair shot at it before even though they'd do great#Plus if I manage to get the other apparently exceedingly more competitive position I would get to work with either of them#And already know someone at the facility and even get to learn with them!!#It'd be a slightly different schedule though#Both days which everyone says is nice but I just don't like the idea of working a 6 am to 6 pm shift oof#The job where I'm currently the only candidate is an 8 am to 4 pm with the option to start and end earlier#The more flexible schedule definitely appeals to me#Also it's a supervisor job without ppl to supervise so that's closer to what I'm used to working with#But I joined this program to work on those ppl skills so I'm good with either position#I just think the less competitive one is really cool because it's unique and an interesting challenge#I know I sound like a baby but I also hope I won't have to do followup interviews#I've been so nervous this whole time trying to prepare and not flub it like I sorta did the first interview#But this last one was with one of the guys that I believe has a final say in who gets hired#So I hope his impression of me takes precedence over the external guy whose questions I kinda misinterpreted then fumbled through#I just really want to work in this facility and even if I don't land either of these jobs I'm going to apply to every damn job that pops up#Though I will be absolutely devestated if I don't get them first go#Cause technically I already lost one when they wouldn't even interview me#Which was understandable because my resume wasn't just a bit outdated after only 4 months but actually very bad and needed major work#Cause it made it seem like I was still in college and not a full time employee with a degree#I thought it just needed my current experience added but nah it required a huge overhaul to get it in working order again#So I feel like I really blew my chance there and was bummed that I couldn't even get a fighting chance by landing an interview#So when they let me interview for this one I was so excited! Like here's my chance!! And I think I did really well on the second one!#I'm just nervous that I'd mess up a followup interview or they'd end up telling me I wasnt a good enough fit

[ Hello followers and or fans. I present to you a Tomura Shigaraki piece! This was inspired by the game Coffee Talk. I haven’t finished it, so no spoilers, please. Speaking of which, this piece may have minor manga spoilers so beware. There are also minor themes of kidnapping, a touch of blood, and unwanted affection. It’s Shigaraki, so shouldn’t really expect anything less. ]
Tumblr media
[ Being the owner of a coffee shop wasn’t easy, but you found purpose in it. While you were used to all sorts of characters entering your shop for a late-night cup of joe, none was stranger than the hooded man who began frequenting your shop. After a small conversation with him, you’re left feeling a bit shaken. Little do you know that he’s Tomura Shigaraki and he has plans for you. ]
As Tomura sat at his table in the corner of the small coffee shop in Esuha City, his partially gloved hands tightly gripped the cup of coffee he held. It burned him up to see you converse with another man who was one of those lame so-called “heroes.”
A young and ignorant one at that, who thought boasting about being assigned to night patrol for the first time was some monumental accomplishment. Spoiler alert: It wasn’t. He didn’t bother to catch the stupid hero’s name, not that it would matter.
But he had the most irritating suit that consisted of a yellow visor, and a white skin-tight top with some obscure number written across it. He also had yellow and green shoulder pads and a long red cape with matching red gloves, blue pants, and white knee-high boots.
His hair was styled in the most idiotic way Tomura had ever seen. Seriously, who spikes up their hair like that? His eyes were also beady and blue. But what was most irritating was that smile. Damn, he’d like to take a hammer and impact those teeth.
This wasn’t what made his blood boil, however. Oh no. It was the fact that you smiled and laughed at the pathetic excuse for a hero’s lame jokes. Like super lame jokes. Yeah, maybe you were just being polite. Business was business.
This didn’t cross Tomura’s mind. He thought your actions were genuine, and damn, did that piss him off. Why the hell were you even entertaining heroes? Yeah, your coffee shop was relatively new to the area, but it had unique features that set it apart from the competition.
For starters, it opened during the evening and remained open until dawn. You were a lifesaver for those who started their work shift at night. You also helped struggling students who needed a boost of caffeine and a quiet place to work on their assignments.
Or idiot wannabe heroes who thought they were just so cool because they patrolled the streets under moonlight. He clenched his jaw. Oh, if only he knew where the egotistical idiot was patrolling, he’d easily end his damn life. Turn him into nothing but a miserable pile of dust.
It was almost laughable to think that you didn’t even know he was one of the most feared villains in Japan and the leader of The League of Villains. Then again, ignorance was bliss and even villains needed a break occasionally.
This was another reason he tolerated frequenting your shop even if he just stumbled into it one night after “taking care of business.” From what he could recall that night he found himself on the edge of collapsing from exhaustion. It had been pouring rain and he was staggering along the crowded sidewalk.
His anger grew with everyone that passed him and the urge to disintegrate them was intensifying. He was wearing his usual get-up that evening: a large, oversized hood that concealed his face, long skinny jeans that ended just above his ankles, and his usual red sneakers.
He growled in frustration and reached up to wipe his face, but it was of no use considering the rain continued to come down. However, when he lowered his hand, he saw it. The neon sign gleamed through the rain and drew him in like a beacon.
This is also when he made the, admittedly, stupid choice to seek temporary shelter in your establishment and possibly hold everyone hostage if needed. He remembered the sickening warmth that washed over him, in contrast to the cold weary weather when he stepped inside.
He also recalled how the scent of coffee filled his nostrils, along with hints of cinnamon and honey. But what was most eye-catching was you. From the moment he spotted you behind the counter crafting one of your specialty drinks that wasn’t even on the menu for some useless dirtbag present in your shop at the time, he was intrigued.
Of course, that was another unique aspect of your establishment. You were known for your experimental drinks and always wanted to see how well they did with the few customers you had. Regardless, the way you gracefully moved behind the counter made him mesmerized.
He remained frozen at the door, seemingly in a trance until you looked at him and casually welcomed him to the shop. Your equally sickening smile seemed to churn something deep inside him and instead of feeling exhausted, a new and strange emotion enveloped him.
Maybe it stemmed from the fact that even if he looked like a drenched rat who just finished fighting its way through the sewers and onto the streets of the world above, you showed him kindness. He walked to the counter, ignoring the looks of concern from people he didn’t give a damn about.
Hell, he could easily murder them if given the chance. He laid his hands on the counter, ensuring that his thumbs were tucked inward and pressed against the bottom of his palms. His hood continued to cast a shadow over his face, and despite his intense red eyes staring you down, your stupid smile remained.
“What would you like to drink?” You asked, making his lips turn upward in a snarl. “Nothing,” he barked back. He had no money, not that he would pay even if he wanted anything from the shitty excuse for a coffee shop. As if sensing his hostility, you took a step back and cocked your head, appearing more like a puppy than a barista.
But the way your eyes studied him as if looking through his soul, made him curl his hands into fists. It was clear he was getting annoyed, both because of your reaction and the few customers observing his interaction with you. Then you said something he didn’t expect, “It’s on the house.”
At first, he thought it was because, to you, he looked homeless. Maybe down on his luck, but that didn’t make sense. You could have easily told him to leave if he didn’t order anything, and what authorized you to give drinks on the house?
That’s when something clicked and after glancing around to see if there were any other baristas present, he came to the only conclusion that was possible. ‘Hm…so you’re the owner, huh?' He remained quiet and briefly glanced at the menu.
You noticed what he was doing and glanced at it too, but it was challenging to know exactly what he was looking at. So instead, you suggested, “An expresso maybe?” His eyes tore from the menu and lingered on you for a long moment.
Then he shoved his hands into his pockets, marched over to the table in the corner of your shop, and carelessly plopped down. You blinked, somewhat perplexed but grabbed a coffee cup and began making the espresso for him. He wasn’t the first hard-headed customer you had encountered.
Another wave of exhaustion enveloped him, and he closed his eyes briefly, almost ready to give in when he heard something. It sounded like two glass objects scraping against one another. When he opened his eyes, the first thing he saw was you and that damned smile. The second was the expresso sitting on a saucer plate.
A soft growl rumbled in his throat. He wasn’t sure if he was more irritated that you had given him something he didn’t even ask for or the fact that he let you get away with it. He could easily turn everyone in the cafe into dust, including you…so why didn’t he?
“Pff,” he grumbled and slowly straightened his posture before slipping two fingers through the cup’s handle. He brought it to his lips and paused when he noticed you were still standing near him. “Go away,” he demanded, his words coming out with a snarl.
“Oh, uh, sure!” You replied, nervously scampering away like a frightened rabbit back to the safety of its burrow. Yet, it was this moment that burned into his memory and kept him returning. Over a short time, however, his slight curiosity about you turned into an obsession.
The same obsession that burned with unmistakable fury whenever someone else captured your attention, even if for a moment. “Heh, well it was super amazing talking to you but I gotta go! See ya!” When that damned blond-headed idiot of a hero finally left, Tomura sighed, and his tense muscles relaxed.
He leaned back in his chair and glanced around. There were still a few people present, one at the counter mindlessly playing on their phone. Another sitting on the far side of the said counter, reading a book and casually taking sips of their drink.
The last one sat in the opposite corner away from everyone, typing on their laptop. “Tch,” he clenched his jaw and dug his nails into the table. He wanted them to leave so he could finally be alone with you. But if that’s the game they wanted to play, he’d wait them out. Oh yes, he would win.
Slow and steady, as much as he hated it, was the right approach to this situation. Like any good villain, he wasn’t about to deviate from the plan brewing in his mind. Oh no. He’d be patient. Like an animal stalking its prey and pouncing at exactly the right moment. So, there he remained, studying every move you made.
From the way your fingers grazed along the machines, to the way you poured milk into lattes and skillfully morphed it into art. He burned every facial expression you made into his mind. He pondered how it would be to see that sweet face turn into horror when you realized who he was.
The cafe emptied shortly after two in the morning. A twisted smirk danced across his face when he pressed his foot against the floor and slid his chair back to create an eerie scraping noise that echoed through the building and caught your attention.
To his amusement, you jumped, and your pretty little eyes were filled with concern as they looked in his direction. He tried to suppress the chuckle building up in his throat and went to the counter. Your back was now turned to him, seemingly over the slight scare he had given you.
He briefly glanced at the counter, noticing an empty cup sitting on a saucer. He grinned and picked it up, hovering it just over an inch above the counter before releasing it. He took pride in watching you jump and spin on your heels. Your eyes were yet again wide, and fear sparkled in them.
That made his lips curl into a wicked smirk. He couldn’t help but think about how he’d love to see that look in your eyes every day. Oh yes, what a good little addition you’d make to The League. Then again, he didn’t want to share you per se, so maybe he’d just keep you to himself.
Kurogiri would have some questions, he knew. It was almost pathetic that he needed a caregiver, but Kurogiri was trained to obey his every order. However, as of late, Tomura noticed a concerned and suspicious leer in those yellow eyes. Of course, that was something only an idiot would miss.
For now, he was focused on you and the way your hand was still pressed against your chest as you looked at him, still as a statue. “Uh heh…” you chuckled, sensing the awkward tension in the air. Then a thought dawned on you that this man had wandered into your cafe when it was raining particularly hard one night a few months back.
In addition to providing a welcoming environment, you connected with your customers and assisted them in any way you could. This usually involved letting them talk through their problems and sharing advice. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case with this mysterious man.
He didn’t budge no matter how hard you tried to crack his shell and rarely spoke more than three words to you. If you were being honest, after that night, you thought you’d never see him again. Yet, to your surprise, he continued to return.
Another thought dawned on you as he continued to stare at you from across the counter. This was that you didn’t even know his name. Even if you did, it wouldn’t change that there was something about him you couldn’t place.
Ultimately, however, you knew it was wrong to judge a book by its cover. Even though that was quite hard not to do considering he never showed his face, some kind of hood was always hiding it. “Uh, hello,” you said, shifting your feet.
Your greeting was met with silence and the tension seeping through the air grew thicker with each second that passed, slowly suffocating you. For a moment, you thought it was because of the lack of customers and tried to convince yourself that if your cafe wasn’t empty, this would feel less…strange.
But another part of you couldn’t help but, again, feel there was something sinister about him. Although he had done nothing wrong…yet. “Uh,” you cautiously approached him, “is there something you need?” That same wicked smirk decorated his lips, and he took a seat at the counter, resting his arms against it.
His gaze was intense, and the longer he stared at you, the more your heart raced. His smirk then softened, and he leaned his elbow on the counter, cradling his cheek in his hand. “So,” the raspy sound of his voice shattered the silence that permeated the air, “what do you think of All Might?”
You knit your eyebrows, shocked that he spoke more than three words, and asked you a question on top of it. You had a front-row seat for most of the conversations at your cafe, conversations that sometimes, discussed heroes, and on occasion, the number one hero, All Might.
“Um…” you glanced away, uncertain how to answer. You had never been asked exactly what you thought of him! You knew many people admired and adored All Might and for obvious reasons. It surely wasn’t an easy feat becoming the number one hero, let alone retaining the spot for as long as he did.
But were you obsessed with him like others? Did you rush to get his autograph whenever you saw him? Not really. Maybe that was because you were busy trying to maintain your own life. In addition, keeping up with the fabulous daytime life when you were a night owl was hard.
Not to say crime stopped at any point of the day or night, but things seemed calmer when the moon and the stars decorated the sky. You awkwardly rubbed the side of your arm, your stomach twisting and causing a small wave of nausea to consume you.
“Well, he, uh, I mean I think…” you tried taking a deep breath to calm yourself. ‘Come on! You’ve dealt with worse customers,’ you thought before your eyes shifted back to him, and his shadowed face. Yet you could still see that smirk and it drew you in, as much as you hated to admit that.
“I guess I don’t have an opinion on him,” you replied, shrugging. “Kind of hard to keep up with uh, the heroes when you’re busy with your own life,” you motioned to your surroundings with an awkward chuckle. Tomura narrowed his eyes. That wasn’t necessarily the response he was looking for.
It didn’t take an idiot to realize you didn’t put much thought into it like you only said it to please him. While he didn’t mind that, he also appreciated the truth. “And what makes him so damn great?” His voice somewhat fluctuated as he spoke, and you sensed a happy tone dancing within it.
You shrugged, “I guess what makes anyone great?” Your answer stumped him. His posture stiffened, and he lowered his hand from his cheek. “Hm,” that smirk faded. “Is that right?” He asked before leaning over the counter.
“And what’ll happen when he falls?” His question made you jolt and look at him with a raised eyebrow. “Heh, a-are you a villain or something?” You joked, and to your surprise, he laughed, and the sound of it caused a violent shiver down your spine.
Another smirk painted his face and he slowly got up from his seat. He didn’t say anything, but the way he stared left you shivering again. Then he turned and walked to the door. The familiar sound of a bell signified his departure, and you leaned against one of the coffee machines behind you, feeling the heat against your back.
Your heart remained fluttering in your chest like a hummingbird and a wave of fear washed over you. The suspicions you had about him were now confirmed. There was something sinister about him. It didn’t sit right with you that your joke remained unanswered either.
In the back of your mind, however, there was a small voice, maybe your conscience, that told you it was still wrong to judge him. But after that interaction, how could you not? You took a deep breath, trying to regain your previous composure, and looked around the empty room.
The sounds of the night city continued to gently hum as you finally found the courage to close your shop. However, you were unwilling to open tomorrow for fear of seeing him again. Your customers, the very few you had anyway, would understand if you needed a break.
The sound of crunching leaves and twigs underneath his feet, and the melody of bugs chirping and owls singing in the night fell deaf to his ears. His hood, unlike in your cafe, was down, allowing his silver-white hair to shimmer against the moonlight as he walked down the dirt path that led to The League of Villains hideaway.
He scanned his surroundings again. Unlike the usual formal attire he wore, he sported a white sleeping cap with a pom pom at the end of it. His normal metal brace encircled his neck. A cotton button-up pajama top with purple polka dots and matching bottoms covered his body.
While he tried to sleep, it proved impossible as his thoughts remained on Tomura. It was his purpose to always serve and protect him. Yet, as of late, the young boy favored departing for an unknown location and was absent for hours at a time.
While he did not doubt Tomura’s abilities, that didn’t make his purpose less important. If something happened to him, he needed to be there to ensure he did not receive harm. As such, this was not the first night he had stayed up into the early morning hours waiting for the boy to return.
The sky was still dark, but he knew the sun would rise soon. His purple and black mist swirled around as he anxiously awaited Tomura’s arrival. When he heard footsteps approaching, he remained still and focused his attention forward. Relief washed over him when he saw exactly who he was looking for.
“Tomura Shigaraki,” he said, his voice deep and stern. His eyes narrowed the closer the boy came. As usual, no words were spoken between them but rather a silent acknowledgment as Tomura passed him and opened the door.
Kurogiri followed him inside and ensured the door was locked. Tomura grumbled as he walked up to the bar and took his seat. He stared mindlessly at the counter that reminded him of your cafe and the terrified look on your face replayed in his mind, making him smile.
This immediately caught Kurogiri’s attention as he walked behind the counter and to the small bar. Tomura rarely smiled unless someone else was hurt or he felt victory within his grasp. He narrowed his eyes but remained quiet as he grabbed a clean glass.
He added a few ice cubes to it, ignoring the clinking sound they created when they hit the bottom. He then grabbed the whiskey that Tomura was prone to drinking and filled the glass halfway before presenting it to him.
However, he noticed Tomura grabbed the glass and merely stared at the ice cubes floating in it. While he had no idea what was brewing in the boy’s mind, he would be shocked to know that as soon as Tomura looked at the glass, his mind envisioned a coffee cup.
It frustrated him to know you were on his mind again. Yet, the idea that you could be of use to him clouded his judgment. Surely there had to be a reason why he felt drawn to you. While he despised the feeling that stirred inside him whenever he was near or thought about you, he knew he would put it to rest.
Yes…soon he wouldn’t have to worry about this feeling bothering him constantly. Silence filled the space between them as Tomura finally sipped his whiskey. Kurogiri watched him intensively as if studying his every move. Perhaps if he had done that before, he would know the answer to the question he was about to ask.
“Where have you been lately, Tomura Shigaraki?” Without the hand obscuring his face, he could see how Tomura’s facial features contorted with annoyance and anger at his question. However, he continued to push, having become too used to the boy’s immature and sometimes childish attitude.
“You have been acting strangely lately, Tomura Shigaraki. I cannot help but assume there is something you have your sights set on,” he stated. “If that is true, then I must insist that I aid you in any way possible.” He would not accept any other alternative.
A growl rumbled in his throat, but he should have known this would happen. It seemed that he couldn’t go too far without Kurogiri trailing behind him. Hell, even when he tried to keep something secret, he was always found out.
It was pretty damn annoying, but in any case, Kurogiri was a Nomu and as such, he was created to obey his every command. Although at times, it seemed like he had free will. He lowered the glass with a thud and glared at Kurogiri.
However, he didn’t falter under the boy's intense gaze. Rather, he returned it with a blank stare. Tomura sighed and tightened his grip around the glass. The temptation to shatter it in his hand was strong as the image of you popped into his head again.
“Y/n,” the hatred in his eyes grew dark and obsessive as he growled your name and noted that it weighed heavily on his tongue. Kurogiri remained silent, processing what he had just been told. “I see,” he said, stepping closer although the counter separated them.
“Is this person of interest to you, Tomura Shigaraki?” He assumed that you were another villain or perhaps a hero student and that Tomura wished to recruit you as a member of The League of Villains. The burning in his throat was intense when he swallowed the rest of his whiskey.
Silence filled the air before he answered, “Yeah.” Kurogiri nodded but also noted that Tomura’s stare was now directed at the ice cubes that littered the bottom of his glass. This was, again, a strange reaction that contrasted with the boy’s usual personality.
After another minute of silence, an angry expression enveloped Tomura’s features. “They are,” he hissed, and like before, his grip tightened around the glass. His knuckles turned white, and several sharp cracks echoed as it shattered, showering his hand in shards.
Although many would react with concern when something like this happened, Kurogiri grabbed a rag and disposed of the shards that now decorated the counter. “Tomura,” he said. His tone was like that of a father, and he ignored the growl he received in response.
Instead, once the shards were dealt with, he grabbed Tomura’s hand and brushed away any remaining bits of glass. He noticed the few small cuts now etched into the boy’s skin, but it was unlikely he’d want them properly taken care of.
“What do you intend to do regarding Y/n?” He asked once he put the rag away. At the question, Tomura smiled wickedly and leaned his elbow on the counter. “I have a few ideas…” he responded. “I see,” Kurogiri leaned closer to him, “and what do you need me to do, Tomura Shigaraki?”
The sun had gone down by the time you arrived at your shop. Although you chose not to open, you figured you’d take this opportunity to catch up on work you had been falling behind on. This included inventory stock and maintenance.
Additionally, you had ideas for new cafe drinks you wanted to experiment with. Since the curtains were drawn and the establishment was closed, you could do so in peace. ‘Katz Caffeine Coffee Cafe’ His eyes narrowed when he read the sign. Not exactly a catchy name for an establishment.
He could hardly believe that Tomura stated you owned this cafe. While Esuha City was known for its nightlife, he still thought it strange that you chose to open a coffee shop that stayed open late into the morning hours when there were already so many others that did so.
‘Perhaps they think they are…capable of conquering the competition,’ he thought, turning to Tomura who was wearing all-black clothing, including another hood that concealed his face. Of course, that meant very little considering the course of events to come.
“Are you ready, Tomura Shigaraki?” He asked, ignoring the passersby on the sidewalk. They needed to accomplish this quickly and ensure that any heroes present in the area could not interfere before Tomura got what he wanted.
He chuckled in response to Kurogiri’s question and lifted his head, his red eyes beaming from underneath the shadow cast over his face. “Yes,” he said, before pointing at Dabi who was currently nestled in the alleyway between your coffee shop and the next useless building.
His arms were crossed, and his leg was bent, allowing him to press his foot against the opposite building wall. He was wearing his usual attire, a large overcoat with multiple coattails. His shirt was crisp white and wrinkled, hanging loosely from his chest.
His pants were dark in color and had multiple stitch marks across them and as usual, he was wearing combat boots. “Pff,” he sighed. In the back of his mind, he wondered how he could agree to this. However, he had always been good at killing people and causing chaos.
The thought of that alone brought a wicked smirk to his face. He stepped out of the alleyway, shoving his hands into his pockets. He glanced up, noting the moon and stars in the sky before looking at Tomura. “What do you want me to do again?” He asked, his voice carrying a certain annoyed tone to it.
“Why don’t you just shut up and put those damn flames to use?” Tomura hissed in response. “Make sure these stupid people stay away from this place until I’m done getting what I want,” he said, narrowing his eyes on Dabi who, from the start, had always been a thorn in his side.
But at least he knew who was in charge and had enough sense to follow the orders he was given. Dabi rolled his eyes. What the hell was so damn special about you he didn’t know. But regardless, he continued to watch as people walked up and down the sidewalk.
“Whatever,” he replied before curling his hands into fists, his knuckles cracking softly as he did so. A blue flame ignited, engulfing his hands and wrists. “Let’s get this over with,” he grumbled and walked out into the middle of the street.
Car tires screeched, and horns sounded through the air. Some foolish individuals even cursed him out and asked what he was doing. They quickly received an answer when his flames consumed their cars and panic erupted. All of which made him smile.
“Heh,” his grin widened as he watched some people push others to the ground and trample them. Tomura watched the spectacle with amusement before walking to the front door of your establishment, Kurogiri trailing behind him.
“Open your warp gate,” he demanded. Without hesitation, the dark fog that surrounded Kurogiri’s body extended and formed what appeared to be a dark portal in front of Tomura. He stared at it a moment before stepping through, disappearing into the void.
Panic struck you when screams sounded from outside causing you to drop the mug you were holding. It shattered instantly when it hit the floor. Instead of cleaning it up, you jumped over the counter and rushed to the large display window to the left side of your shop.
You reached a shaky hand out for the curtain, your heart pounding erratically in your chest making you feel short of breath. Your throat tightened, forcing you to swallow hard as you finally pulled it back and peeked outside. The only thing you saw was a blinding flame, blue in color, blazing in the street in front of your shop.
The building across the way crumbled under the flames that consumed it. However, you also noticed an individual dressed in black standing in the street, among the flames that didn’t appear to be harming him. It was like he admired the destruction around him including the panicked individuals who continued to run away.
You knit your eyebrows and screamed when he suddenly turned his head. His eyes, almost as blue as the fire that danced around him, seemed to peer right into your soul. You released the curtain immediately before pressing your back against the wall.
Your heart was pounding, and you suspected that at any moment it would leap out of your chest entirely. Your legs trembled threatening to give out from underneath you. The fear that consumed you at the moment was unlike anything you had experienced before. Yes, villains have attacked Esuha City countless times but rarely at night.
You grasped your chest, allowing your nails to dig into the front of your shirt before something else caught your eye. Your head snapped sideways, and you watched in horror as some type of dark portal appeared. In a panic, you ran back to the counter and jumped over it to hide.
You crouched down, pressing your hands against the top of your head and forcing yourself to hold your breath when you heard footsteps. Tomura grinned as he stepped out of Kurogiri’s warp gate and glanced around. It almost brought him delight seeing your shop empty.
Of course, he knew better than to be fooled into thinking it was actually empty. Having overheard one of your many conversations with one of the many idiots that took your attention away, he knew you took priority over certain duties regarding your business when it was closed.
He knew you were here. Even if you were hiding, he’d find you. He continued forward, stopping at the counter, unaware that you lingered on the other side. He allowed his partially gloved fingers to skim across its slick surface.
“Tomura Shigaraki,” Kurogiri said, walking behind him. Your eyes widened when you heard his name, and that fear intensified, making you freeze completely. Tomura Shigaraki. He was a ruthless villain and leader of The League of Villains.
You couldn’t bear to think about the thousands of people he’s harmed, much less killed without feeling nauseous. However, this didn’t stop questions from racing through your mind. What was he doing? What did he want from you? Were you going to die tonight? Why did he bring someone else with him?
You swallowed hard, letting out a quiet breath, and slowly positioned yourself on your hands and knees. Maybe if you crawled around to the storage area located at the back of your shop you could escape or so you hoped. Tomura faced Kurogiri with a glare.
“Are you most certain Y/n is present?” He asked, aware that his question may sound silly, perhaps even stupid. “Of course, they’re here!” He growled in response, slamming his hand on the counter making the sound echo eerily through the shop.
A tremble coursed through your body when you heard your name, and you continued to crawl as quickly and as quietly as you could across the floor. However, you only made it halfway before something pierced your hand. You forgot about the mug you had shattered earlier.
It was one of those shattered pieces that cut your hand easily, making you hiss out involuntarily. Once you registered your actions, you clamped your non-bloody hand over your mouth, silently cursing yourself for giving away your location.
Panic coursed through your body again, and you decided it was better to run and die than to be a sitting duck. However, by the time you got up, Kurogiri had already moved. “You will not escape!” he bellowed. The mist around him spread like a blanket of darkness and his eyes blazed with fury.
Your shoes squeaked against the floor as you stumbled to a stop, and you grasped onto the counter to prevent yourself from falling. The dull ache from the cut on your palm was nothing compared to the dread you felt when you locked eyes with those yellow orbs that were filled with nothing less than hatred.
Once he was certain you were not escaping, the mist that had expanded from his body shrank. That’s when you noticed the oddly formal outfit he was wearing. The crisp long-sleeved button-up shirt caught your attention first, followed by the black tie that adorned its collar and was tucked behind the gray vest that hugged his figure.
He also wore a black belt and dark dress pants with polished Oxford shoes. His eyes narrowed and he looked at you with such intensity and sternness that you almost felt like a child. A frightened child trying to keep the monsters under their bed at bay.
Without thinking, you turned and ran in the opposite direction. What exactly you were planning to do was up for debate. Reaching the front door would be ideal for escape, but then you’d have to deal with the villain outside who was currently turning everything into ash.
Well, either way, it was better than dealing with two villains in a small space. Unfortunately, like Kurogiri, Tomura cut you off quickly. You stumbled to a stop again, but unlike before, you lost your footing and fell onto the floor. You frantically crawled back, despite realizing you were trapped.
“P-please I…” you could still feel those yellow eyes burning a hole in your back. Swallowing heavily, you thought it best to focus on the man in front of you. However, an odd feeling of déjà vu washed over you when you noticed the outfit he was wearing.
“W-wait a minute, y-you’re-” That odd customer, the one that had visited your shop countless times before and the one whose conversation left you trembling. “Heh, oh good, you recognize me,” he replied and lowered his hood. The sight of his appearance sent another shiver down your spine.
He was a slender man, with skin as pale as the moonlight. In addition to the wrinkles around his eyes, his right eye had visible scars across it. His lips were severely chapped and the right side, too, had scarring and a small mole. His hair was silver-white, and half of it was tied behind his head.
The front of his bangs hung in his face in uneven waves and the bottom portion of his hair brushed against his shoulders. His menacing smirk coupled with his bright red irises sent another shiver down your spine. The answer to your previous question was revealed.
He was a villain and he had pretended to be your customer. What could he possibly gain from doing that?! It didn’t make sense, and you still didn’t know why he was here or what he wanted from you. Of course, you failed to realize that he continued to return because he was fascinated by you rather than your coffee shop.
He chuckled, and the disgruntled sound made you spring to your feet. The urge to run was overwhelming, but when you glanced over your shoulder, you saw his accomplice was still present. Additionally, you knew he’d stop you if you made such a foolish attempt. Clenching your jaw, your hands balled into shaky fists.
‘Damn it!’ you cursed inside your head, feeling your eyes burn as they watered over like a dam ready to burst. Kurogiri noticed this, but it only added to his confusion about why Tomura was after you. Someone so delicate and fragile.
It was clear you had nothing to offer The League, yet he refused to believe it had to do with feelings. Tomura was emotional, yes but his emotions were usually negative. Kurogiri was certain that, if by chance, the young boy fell in love, he would take after All For One.
He would not see his token of affection as someone to take care of and tend to. Rather he would see them as his possession. Something that belonged to him and him alone, and whoever dared to do something foolish like take his possession away would suffer a most gruesome death.
Perhaps that was the recent change in Tomura. He had found a new possession to claim as his. Your chest felt heavy, and yet tight as if you were crushed by an enormous weight. Your whole body trembled, and your eyes were wide and looked irritated.
You swallowed and pressed yourself against one of the expresso machines that littered the counter. It was nestled between the coffee grinder and the iced coffee dispenser. Both threatened to tip over as you desperately grasped onto them like they were the only lifeline you had.
Once again you felt the dull ache of your injured palm and it reminded you that this was not a dream. Tomura continued to step toward you, further emphasizing that you were trapped like an injured animal in the corner of an alley.
The echo of your heart pounded in your ears and like you were deprived of oxygen, there was a suffocating tension in the air. His eyes gleamed like a powerful demon as he growled, “Don’t look so damn scared!” and slammed his hands against the machines that were currently digging into your back.
He grinned at the sound of your scream and pride filled him as he observed the devastated state you were in. Then he leaned back to remove his gloves. Kurogiri watched him drop them to the floor and made a mental note to pick them up before they left.
Although Tomura had plenty of specially made gloves, he preferred to keep as many as possible. “Now, heh, I’ll make this simple for you,” he said slamming his hands against the machines behind you again. The only difference this time was several loud cracks sounded, and in a matter of seconds they began to decay.
Their once shiny and solid surfaces turned gray and crumbled like sand. You felt the weight of them disappear, forcing you to steady yourself as they turned to dust. Your eyes never left his, however. As terrified as you were, you refused to look away.
“Come with me, or I’ll fucking kill you,” he growled, and his words shook you. There was no way you wanted to die, but you couldn’t go with him! That was a fate worse than death. In addition, you couldn’t abandon what you created. This shop, this business was your life.
Even though you only had a handful of customers, they needed this shop to act as a safe zone. A place where they could talk about their worries and problems without judgment. The very idea of taking that away finally broke you, and a soft sob passed your lips before hot tears rolled down your cheeks.
Tomura paused, and his eyes traced the tears that slid down your face and slowly dripped from your chin. Then his eyebrows knitted as if he was confused about why you were crying. But it didn’t matter. Even if you foolishly refused to go with him, he’d take you by force. As the seconds ticked by, Kurogiri narrowed his eyes.
“Tomura Shigaraki,” he said, watching the boy pause and look at him with a snarl. He knew he needed to be careful with his next words. While there was the possibility that you meant something to Tomura, even if the boy himself hadn’t fully realized that yet, it was clear this was going nowhere.
Despite knowing he did not take failure well, Kurogiri needed to ensure Tomura returned to The League safely with or without you. However, his focus turned to the front door of your establishment which not only ignited into flames but was ripped off its hinges when Dabi forcibly used his fire to barge his way in.
Tomura, surprisingly, seemed unphased by this sudden intrusion despite your accompanying scream. He leaned back, looking at Dabi blankly. “Just what the hell is taking so damn long?” He questioned, and your throat tightened as you tried to suppress another sob.
With Tomura in front of you, it was impossible to see the man who forced his way into your shop. Not that it would matter considering your vision was blurry due to tears. You could, however, see the blue flames that were beginning to consume your cafe, and the heat made you sweat.
The only salus you had, as much as you hated to admit it, was Tomura shielding you from who you could only assume was the same man you had seen in the street earlier. You then assumed that he was also part of The League of Villains.
“The heroes have been alerted, let’s go already,” he hissed, gesturing behind him and toward the now broken entranceway. Pain danced in your eyes as you watched his flames consume the building inch by inch. Tomura growled. “Shut up!” He snapped before looking at Kurogiri.
“Well?” He said, snatching his gloves off the floor and making you flinch. Sweat dripped down your forehead, and your tears had evaporated. You felt faint among the other overwhelming emotions that caused your knees to buckle and you to fall back onto the floor in front of Tomura.
He paused and glanced at you before his eyes fell back on Kurogiri. He looked at him blankly, awaiting his orders. “Use your warp gate already!” Tomura screamed like a spoiled child and placed his hands on his hips before glaring at Kurogiri.
He placed his hand on his chest and bowed. “As you wish, Tomura Shigaraki,” he replied, and your heart jumped in your chest. ‘Warp gate?’ Suddenly that image of the dark portal from earlier popped into your head. That was his quirk! Your eyes widened when you watched more dark portals appear, seemingly out of thin air.
You gasped. “Wait!” You cried out, but it was too late. The ground dissolved beneath you. A rush of wind enveloped you, and the sensation of weightlessness before gravity kicked in and you fell flat onto solid ground. You groaned, noting the floor was cold and rough.
You recovered after a moment and slowly opened your eyes. Despite your vision spinning you could make out various glass bottles lining two wooden shelves, and the bright yellow light behind them only irritated your vision further.
“H-huh?” You pushed yourself onto your knees, slowly taking in your new surroundings. The dizziness caused a wave of nausea to flow over you, but you refused to give in to the feeling. Instead, you took a deep breath and continued looking around.
You noticed there was a doorway covered with a purple curtain next to the shelves. A wooden counter surrounded the area, and a small television rested at the end of the counter. If this was a bar, a wide-screen television was usually present.
‘Weird…’ you thought, before noticing the walls were made from brick and a coffee machine was sitting on a small table next to the television. Your heart sank in your chest as you were reminded of your cafe which was likely nothing but a pile of smelted wood and ash now.
Your head immediately snapped toward the purple curtain as another dark portal appeared. You watched in horror as Tomura stepped out and frantically crawled back, only to hit something. You trembled, feeling your throat tighten as you tilted your head to see that strange mist man. His eyes stared into your soul again.
“Ah!” You frantically twist your body, wanting to get away from him. However, you hit one of the shelves and the sound of the bottles clinking together echoed eerily through the room. “W-Where am I!?” You frantically asked, your voice dripping with fear. Tomura sighed when he walked up to you.
Knowing you were trapped again. You could only shake uncontrollably as he crouched down and forcibly grabbed your chin. You could feel his nails dig into your flesh through the glove he was wearing and when you looked into his eyes, they had an inhuman glint.
“Don’t ask such a stupid question,” he growled, baring his teeth, and tightening his grip making you wince. “Kurogiri,” he said when he released your chin and threw you back against the shelf, yet again making the bottles rattle.
Your heart pounded, and you fisted your hands into your hair. Ignoring the dried blood on your injured palm and the accompanying sting that came with it. “Yes, Tomura Shigaraki?” He replied, shifting his attention from you to him.
“Make sure their stupid hand is cleaned,” he said, referring to your injured palm. Yes, he wasn’t so ignorant as to not notice it. He took pride in being observant. Noticing every little detail always gives you an advantage over others.
Kurogiri found the request rather…strange and shifted his gaze to you. Despite the distressed state you were in, he wondered what it was about you that made Tomura act like he cared. ‘Yes...what does he see in this one?’ It was surely a mystery, but perhaps you’d prove to be useful.
“Yes, Tomura Shigaraki,” he repeated before walking closer to you. A gasp passed your lips and you snapped back to reality when you looked at him. Your eyes were wide, and your face was colorless. “After that,” Tomura said, grabbing your chin and making you hiss out.
His eyebrows slanted, his eyes beaming as he stared at you. His lips twisted into a smirk and when he leaned forward, you squeezed your eyes shut. You expected more pain, perhaps even his opposite hand on your throat or tangled in your hair.
Instead, you felt the roughness of his lips against yours making your eyes snap open and your breath hitch. Kurogiri’s eyes widened as he watched Tomura initiate this act of affection and his body stiffened. Perhaps it was his instinct to protect Tomura, but this was the first time he had seen the boy act this way.
His eyes then narrowed, and his body relaxed. ‘Perhaps they have some value to him,’ and if that were true, then Kurogiri would too, see value in you. Dabi grumbled as he pulled back the curtain, opening his mouth to speak. However, he stopped short when he saw the scene before him.
He narrowed his eyes and placed his hand on his hip. “Just what the hell is going on?” He demanded and Kurogiri looked at him, unable to explain. When he realized this, he shrugged. He didn’t really give a shit about what Tomura was doing or who he was going to fuck or do who knows what with.
“Whatever,” he replied before walking around the counter and toward the door, muttering about burning something else. He growled against your lips, making your eyes widen. However, it wasn’t that difficult to figure out it had something to do with his accomplice entering the room and leaving.
Tomura hated interruptions as much as failure. When silence fell over the room again, he noticed that your lips felt plump, smooth, and perfectly shaped. It made his blood boil, like an angry firestorm that destroyed everything in its wake. Yet, there was a trace of undeniable greed.
That possessive nature reminded him you were his to take and do with what he wanted. Yes, you were his possession, and you would never leave him. However, his lips tasted bitter to you and left your skin crawling. What should have been a warm or passionate action was an unwanted advancement.
Yet, you were too afraid to move away. To push him, do anything to stop or break the kiss. How could you live with yourself having kissed a villain? Did he want you because he had feelings for you? Was everything he and his accomplices did because he wanted you for himself?
The realization made you gag. Although it was silenced between your mouths, it didn’t make Tomura any less aware you were gagging, and he pulled away with another growl. However, instead of hurling you against the shelf again, he stood up and walked around the counter to take a seat.
Even when he was a short distance away from you, your body continued to tremble. Kurogiri, meanwhile, grabbed the first aid kit. While All For One provided Tomura with medical attention when needed, courtesy of Dr. Kyudai Garaki.
Kurogiri kept a first aid kit on hand because Tomura had some self-destructive habits, such as scratching his skin open, primarily around his neck area. As such, he attended to these minor injuries and ensured they were properly cleaned and bandaged when needed.
Although he hated the idea of using precious resources on anyone except Tomura, he could not resist an order given to him. So, he crouched down beside you and grabbed your hand, making you gasp again. He paused, only to look at you. It was clear you were scared, and your trembling didn’t help.
But you weren’t resisting and so he gently took your hand in his, examining the cut. The skin around it was red and inflamed, and dried blood was smeared across your palm and fingers. However, that was nothing minor disinfectant couldn’t take care of.
Compared to Tomura, Kurogiri had a strange gentleness about him. At least that’s what you could gather from the delicate way he cleaned your wound and wiped the dried blood away before wrapping it up. When he released your hand, you pressed it against your chest, feeling the now steady pace of your heart.
You watched as he gathered the bloody rag and threw it away. After that, he returned the first aid kit to its proper place and looked at Tomura. “I am finished,” he stated. “Heh, great,” Tomura replied and leaned over the counter, looking at you.
“Why don’t you be useful and make me a damn cup of coffee?” He replied, but his smile faded when his order was greeted with silence. “Now!” he snapped, slamming his hands against the counter, and making you stagger to your feet.
Your legs remained shaking and felt like they would give out from underneath you at any moment. Regardless, you stumbled to the coffee machine you spotted earlier and cried out when your knees bent, making you desperately clench onto the small table.
You sharply inhaled, not having realized you were holding your breath. You could feel the weight of Tomura and Kurogiri’s stares and your hands trembled as you tried to open the coffee machine to see if there were coffee grounds in it. As you did this, another dark realization came. You captured a villain’s heart.
But not just any villain’s heart, Tomura Shigaraki’s. The one who could turn you into dust at any moment. Instead of having the happy life you envisioned, one where you served customers, lent them your ear, gave advice, and shared happy memories with one another. You were now and forever Tomura’s object of affection.

hi omg i love your taekwondo one shot 🩵🩵 could you do the member’s reaction to having an s/o that boxes or spars?
enhypen when: you’re a boxer. 🥊
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
description: the ask above! ^
genre: comfort, fluff, short paragraphed notes/thoughts.
pairing: ot7 enha x gn boxer reader
note: hiii! omg yes but some terminology or things may not be accurate because i actually don’t know much about boxing! i tried to do some research though~ sorry if this isn’t up to your standards/not what you expected!
⋆ ★ ⋆ ★
Heeseung is the type of s/o who always wants to try out something athletic. When he found out that you box- he internally geeked. He thinks you're super cool and he kind of looks up to you in a way.
You inspire him to try and learn the sport, and when you agree to teach him some techniques he gets hype and is passionate about it. He is super focused and listens to you closely, but he gets competitive easily.
He’s actually a little jealous that you're stronger than him and when you do some open sparring together he gets frustrated when he begins to lose quite easily against you. His inner urge to be protective of you gives him hell when he knows you're more than capable of taking care of yourself- so capable you could probably protect him more than he could.
Jay becomes a little nerd. He is constantly found doing some research on his laptop or his phone (for on the go) on how to take care of an athlete properly. He makes it his number one priority to provide you with all the care you need, as if you were a unique pet or something. He looks up recipes and meals and cooks them for you, making sure you get the protein and strength you require and to keep you strong.
He randomly buys you more equipment even when what you have is already fine. He wants you to have all the new cool gear you could ever want to make you feel confident while you're in the ring, but he also secretly wants your training partners to see how much he can spoil you.
When Jake saw you spar and box for the first time, he instantly made it his whole personality. This man brags about you to EVERYONE you meet. If there's a few seconds of silence, he's immediately going to fill it with stories about how amazing and talented you are. It's always “well my s/o is way stronger than you so” or if someone started hitting on him, his response would probably be “my s/o WILL beat your ass”.
He pretends like he knows the rules and what's going on when he watches you, but he really has no clue. He is just happy to see you do your thing. He commonly makes “oohs” and “ahhs” noises while watching you- covering his eyes every so often when he cant make himself look at a nasty throw.
He also loves to make you specialised playlists to get you hype during your conditional sparring, but what he doesn't realise is justin bieber songs do not really count as “hype” for boxing practice.
Sunghoon gets really jealous when he watches you spar with absolutely anybody that isn't him. He silently keeps tabs on everyone you work with and he sits there analysing to make sure they dont take it too far or try to cheat. He will criticise and intimidate your opponent a lot when you aren’t looking because he thinks you're the best there is and he refuses to accept any less.
If you happen to lose a match- before you can even turn, Sunghoon is already arguing with the ref and other coaches, even if it was a really fair game. He might know how to embarrass you a little bit but he is really just looking out for you the one way he knows how.
Boxing isn’t really Sunoo’s thing but he LOVES to cheer you on. If you have 100 fans, Sunoo is one. If you have 10 fans, Sunoo is still one. If you have 1 fan, it’s Sunoo. If you have 0 fans, Sunoo has died. He is really like your number one cheerleader at every single match and session you have.
Sunoo loves glaring at and side-eyeing anyone who cheers for your opponents. He will automatically make it his number one mission to cheer louder than them, as if it was a life or death situation. He will sit down and get crafty making obnoxious signs and posters to show you off and support you.
Jungwon is a little scared of you, but it's more what you're capable of that he is scared of. In fact he is scared for your opponents and sympathises with them a little because he knows you're going to win no matter what. He is definitely your personal mental coach in boxing. He is always trying to give you the best advice, mentally prepare you, remind you it's okay to lose and not to get ahead of yourself.
Most importantly he nags you to not get hurt. Like, constantly. If there was a day that he had not brought up your safety- something is wrong. He turns up at every competition with a full first aid kit and too many bottles of water to count. On the rare occasion when you do lose- he still takes you out and treats you like a worldwide winner.
Niki loves the fact you can box because intruding on your practice is one of his favourite things to do. He loves constantly messing around and playing with you. He never takes it seriously, but instead makes sure you don't overwork yourself by making up little games. Of course he always cheats though and it often ends up in him tackling you in one way or another.
He will wind you up just to see you get pouty and upset with him because he finds it adorable, but he makes sure not to take it too far because you will 100% crush him. He takes the most unserious 0.5 photos of you in your gear, tells you to smile with a mouth guard in and makes it his wallpaper on every device he owns and his profile picture on every social media he has.

Hi! This idea's suggested to me by my sister. What if the overblot boys are in a relationship with a s/o who uses music and singing to influence emotions?
Hi, thank you for the ask!
Overblot twst characters with an s/o who uses music to influence emotions
Riddle
Honestly he needs therapy (not like all of them do tbh) so the fact you can calm him down is so nice. He's very thankful you help him out, especially how you helped him during his time recovering from his overblot incident
A lot of students will look to you for help whenever Riddle looks like he's going to lose it. They basically use you as a shield haha
Might ask you why you decided to create your unique magic in this way. If you are a singer, sure it makes sense, but why emotions? Whatever your explanation is, he's pretty fascinated by your skill in magic
I feel like overall as long as you don't use your ability to harm others, he finds your magic to be super cool. He loves you nonetheless with or without your magic though
Leona
Might never ask you to sing for him because he's too emotionally constipated to tell you he likes it when you sing
You don't need to calm him down, but he does like it when you hum while he's relaxing. He falls asleep easily, but with you it's even easier (and that's always a plus)
Similar to Riddle, he will wonder why you decided to make your unique magic in this way. I feel like he would respect you for your magic skills too
Overall he's pretty chill with your ability. He's really thankful you can help him feel less miserable by your voice alone too :')
Azul
Little Mermaid reference? Likely called you a siren at some point because he loves your voice!
He gets nervous easily, so whenever you sing or even hum around him to help calm him down, he's super happy. He tries to show you his appreciation through gifts and lots of hugging
I can also see you two working together at the Mostro Lounge, maybe you sing there? Azul's also interested in how you came up with your magic ability btw, so feel free to let him know!
He respects your skills in magic a lot, even admires how benevolent you are whenever you help people feel better by using your voice. Might think it's similar to a story he heard long ago in his childhood about a mermaid haha
Jamil
He also needs calming music because this man doesn't get a break :/
He has a surprisingly good voice, one that he's never shown anyone other than Kalim and you. It would be super cute if you two did duets together whenever you guys have the chance btw
He might've not known it was your singing that caused him to feel better when he was down, but he soon connects the dots and realizes it was your magic ability. Won't ask you how you came up with the idea but will have a lot of respect for you nonetheless
He tries to tell you he's thankful for how much you help him when he's stressed but he doesn't feel that confident in putting his emotions into words. So, he'll likely make something you like and surprise you with it for dinner
Vil
Probably thought you had some magic ability that had to do with singing and emotions because whenever you sang it was like he was a lot calmer than before. Turns out he's right!
You were the one that helped him out a lot during the VDC but also after the competition. You stuck by his side and made sure he wasn't stressing out too much. He's honestly super grateful
You two should also do duets together! I can only imagine how good you two would sound!
Overall Vil has a similar approach to you like Riddle. As long as you aren't harming anyone, he won't really mind your magic abilities. Just know that Vil really thinks your ability is cool, especially as it can help calm people down
Idia
He's a nervous wreck almost all the time and it doesn't help that he can't sleep because he gets nightmares easily. But whenever you hum when you two are together, he finds himself feeling a lot better. It's because of you he gets to sleep better too!
Idia's super grateful to have you because honestly you give him so much comfort and help. He tries to let you know he's thankful by trying to spend more time with you. He probably attempted to draw you something but gave up and made you a small robot instead
He isn't really interested in the logistics of your ability but will ask why you decided to use your voice for your magic. He's more interested in your thoughts and reasoning behind your magic since it can tell a lot about a person.
Idia just loves you for being you but admires your musical abilities and your care towards him. If he had the courage he would've asked to do a duet with you at some point

YAY when i saw u tagged me my mouth literally dropped open THANKS @belleandsaintsebastian
last song: dancing barefoot!! was so obsessed with that song around… 2022? and about every other time i encounter it
currently watching: twd & the mentalist!! love twd sm i love long series and how they become homey and i love thinking abt constant underlying messages which twd is RIFE with. i am watching this season quite infrequently tho just cuz i don’t enjoy it as much as the others and i have been angry ranting abt it tbh………
the mentalist is quite frankly…… bad. 😭😭 WELL actually idk…… like it has strong points and obviously something abt it hooks me cuz hello i’m on s4 but in s1 & 2 i was like thats so cliched and annoying and that’s literally just police brutality so….. but in s3 i was enjoying parts & building little fantasy worlds abt it in my head & oh my god im obsessed w teresa lisbon & i LOVED the finale because it had DRAMA!!!! but then all the drama surrounding one plot avenue is just SUCKED OUT (imo) in the beginning if s4 so??? and one plot thread was just left so like thats annoying….. and the main guy at the last few minutes of an episode was literally told. i’ve diagnosed u with aspd (well. he said ‘psycopath’ i think but then when he lightheartedly asked a coworker he used the term ‘anti social personality’ so) and its like…. a joke basically so…… thank u very cool. literally that one house autism GOTCHA moment i had flashbacks
currently reading: love and marriage by monica ali, i got it from my english teacher cuz she brought in her favs. it was funny cuz last minute she was like oh no i forgot!!!! theres a lot of sex!!!!ask if u have questions i’m ur pshe teacher!!! very earnest & giggly shes great. i like it so far and the style of writing, im VERY interested in where its going, so glad i’ve found a book i enjoy sm
‘how far we’ve come’, for a competition…… ough i need to pick that up again before time runs out.
fever wake, very interesting to read, especially cuz i always read it before bed , all hazy and tired lmao
lesbians guide to catholic school, just for the mandatory 10 mins reading at my school in english. don’t really like the writing style, but i find the main character, yamilet’s, unique relationship w her family SO interesting. being the second favourite just bc shes a girl, how she reconciles her love for her brother with how frustrating that is, homophobia from beloved family members, and her dad being deported all interest me a lot
current favourites: …..always hot chocolate & whipped cream, my binder!!!!! oat biscuits, pasta, painting in acrylics & just working in my gcse sketchbook in general, collaging, imagining scenarios & fic scenes in my head especially w music, listening to music to and from school, when i make people laugh, that i’ve become more social and less afraid to talk to people,
no pressure tags <3 : @gayfilmbro @preordainedplace (again!! no pressure esp for u!! cuz ik were not mutuals but i love ur blog & art <3 and with it being so hard to find anyone posting abt one deranged movie released 13 years ago it feels like were locked in the same cage already lmao) @1985houndsoflove @thelastdaysofrocknroll @thepunkmuppet @doctorgregoryhouse @pnt03prcnt

ramble imbound
plane jane fascinates me
. i appreciate a girl that goes "ok i'm going to go on no fear and be the biggest villain i possibly can" and also shes like "fuck everyone i'm gonna pander to ru specifically in these challenges". it's clever if coming off as inauthentic. i appreciate she's bringing drama it gives 16 a really unique vibe especially compared to recent seasons
i'm not crazy abt her bc while she's a huge cunt she has no real wit or comedy. so she comes off less as shady and more of a huge asshole (which is entertaining in its own right). but despite being the worse performing competitively of the two in their feud , amanda absolutely pisses on her in every argument
its so odd to have someone to vehemently root against. on screen plane is portrayed as rude, unfunny, inauthentic in her drag presentation, somewhat spineless when faced with criticism from other queens despite dishing it out so much herself, and repetitive in her drag character. it's cool to have such a villain on cast but there's nothing FUN about her
i think in her mind she's giving bianca del rio when she's Reading The Dolls Down Boots but she certainly is not that, because she doesnt have that quick humour. obsessed with the way she's just like "your drag sucks. thats just the tea i'm just telling it how it is suhweetie !!!" like its so stupid i'm almost on board
anyway. verdict: i'm pretty neutral on both her character on the show and her drag, and also team nymphia wind
EDIT TO ADD: she does give me fight or flight instinctively bc someone said she's like one of those gays that says she's one of The Good Ones and thathasnt left my brain since. obviously it's no assumption on her character it's just my monkey brain

Do you mind if I ask your top 10 favorite characters (can be male or female) from all of the media that you loved (can be anime/manga, books, movies or tv series)? And why do you love them? Sorry if you've answered this question before.....Thanks...
No I don’t mind at all!! I’ve never been asked this question before and it’s really interesting so of course I’ll answer! <3
Btw this is anime only bc I only watch anime/read manga :)
1: Feitan
I love Feitan honestly bc he’s cool, hot, strong and just generally awesome. I love his personality and how fearless he is. He’s number one even though they’re were many before him because I’m crazy about him and he’s just generally my all time fav. He isn’t a “phase” I love him all the time think about him all the time..FOR YEARS.
2: Aizawa
I found out about him way before Feitan and was the original number one..BUT I don’t love him any less. He’s honestly just so cool and I thought he was as soon as I saw him. He has such a calm yet self assured and strong demeanor to him. I admire him in a sense, he has morals and sticks to them. He’s also once again, strong. He cares for his loved ones and manages to be cool and a green flag- not something all anime guys can do.
3: Izuku
Izuku is under Aizawa bc I literally started loving him directly after lol. I love him with all my heart. He’s just so determined and realistic/relatable in a sense. He strives for his goals and doesn’t give up. It’s admirable. He has such a kind heart and is a green flag. Tsu should honestly be up here bc she’s the first ever anime character I found out a about but I love izuku more- osusndkjnsjd-
4: Luffy
If I knew him for longer he would be higher. I got into one piece just recently but I still love him very much. He’s such a cool and silly guy he does no harm and is selfishly selfless. What an odd balance of getting what you want and bringing happiness. Essentially what he wants is for people (specifically his loved ones) to be happy and will stop at nothing to bring that to them. Truly only has good intent. Also who doesn’t like freedom and liberation?? This guy literally stands for that!! He stand for those who don’t have a voice and that’s so cool to me! I’m so proud of him in that sense. I also love his silly goofy vibe despite the worlds cruel ways. It’s refreshing and makes one piece a less depressing place since in a sense we’re pretty much seeing one piece from his prospective. If we saw things how zoro or law sees it, it may be a lot more realistic, a bit more drab and plain in sight. That’s my take on it anyway.
5: Katsuki
katsuki’s character development is top tier. (Spoiler) I’m not talking about him dying. I’m talking about how he went from telling Izuku to ky$ and mistreating him and others to viewing people as equals/something more than competition, apologizing and atoning for his mistakes. He did something even most grown men/women can’t do these days..smh. He even did it better than endeavor. 😂 I also like how strong he is and how much he believes in himself. It’s only a problem because of the way he expresses that but if he was simply confident I feel he’d have less haters.
6: Fyodor
honestly he just freakin cool dude! Like he’s a genius, he’s attractive and he’s got a cool/mysterious power. I like when anime characters are a different race in Japan, it just makes things more fun. I love him for his imperfections too. I saw someone talk about how (spoiler) Fyodor wouldn’t have died if he just trusted his friends/allies more. I like that about him too. It makes space for character development and realization if he lives.
7: Atsushi
I first started watch bsd a long time ago. I remember loving the first ep so much. I really like how atsushi met dazai- lol. It was all really unique and there was no overused troupes. New, fresh, stuff you wouldn’t expect. I mean unless it’s mc hating on themselves..but I didn’t dislike atsushi for it or anything. Idk why I just didn’t, I’ve loved him since he first appeared on screen. I’ve always thought he deserved better. He’s such a kind hearted character and his mental and physical strength developed well. He doesn’t have any love interests either! It makes me happy when it’s straight plot and no canon romance in anime. Honestly I just love how sincere and genuine Atsushi is.
8: Nikolai
At first I both liked and disliked him at the same time. But then again I kinda simped for him so I did research (fandom, and when he got animated) and now i love em. I really love silly characters with inner problems that they project onto different things (emotions; for Niko). It gives they’re character deeper meaning than just being a silly guy. Yeah that’s fun but it gives you more to think about this way. I think his design is very cute and fun! At first I did expect to have a higher pitched voice but as time went on I realized two things. One: his voice actually fit him and I only didn’t like it at first because it didn’t meet my imaginary standard. Two: he’s a grown man, and while it’s possible, especially with anime logic, it’s more realistic this way and I’m glad his voice isn’t high pitched now.
9: Portgas D Ace
now I absolutely love Ace and while I he’s my number 2 in one piece, over all anime’s he ranks a little lower but he’s def still up there. Again I’m still in the impel down arc so his backstory n stuff is coming up for me, so when I say he needs more screen time I mean besides that. He’s an attractive man who worked on himself from a young age to be polite and respectful, he’s very friendly as well. I love and respect all that about him. He’s another silly guy but in a different way. Idk I honestly just like him, idk how to explain it this time. He’s just cool!!
10: Saiki k
I didn’t know whether to put brook or tokito here. I would’ve gone with tokito because I’ve been watching kny longer but I feel I like him more? Saiki k is a really interesting anime. It’s a comedy anime in a regular and relatable setting but with a spin; superpowers. This gives the anime more chances for funny moments and comedy. With saiki’s attitude of wanting to be normal as well? Perfect! Saiki is honestly still relatable even with powers and is not a simp. Which I really like about him, He probably wouldn’t be on this list if he got with someone. In fact he avoids what could be love interests and that makes it even more funny. I’m glad he doesn’t give in and give us the traditional wife, babies and sunset ending. 🤦‍♀️
brook isn’t on the list but top 10 is NOT easy to choose..I also wanted to add tokito but again top ten is so limiting </3😔

So Marvel Rivals, that's an interesting surprise from nowhere! A new hero shooter with emphasis on the "Hero", but with a 6v6 format... huh. Interesting.
I'd do a full breakdown of everything shown so far but that feels like a job for someone with a usable computer. For now I'll just give my quick thoughts as a fan of both the genre and the IP.
On the Marvel side of things there's a good bit to be excited for already, with an interesting roster of picks already. Got a lot of obvious staples along plenty of choices that don't feel like cheap MCU tie-ins. Glad there's already a few X-men in, and genuinely very happy to see some characters I've literally never heard of. Again this mostly feels great because of how the MCU dominance has been overtly a hindrance to games like Marvel vs Capcom Infinite, where if a character didn't have a movie already out or in the works then they had a fat chance of getting in, even for series staples like Doctor Doom and literally any X-men characters.
On the gameplay side I can't say too much on the finer details, but it looks like individual characters bring a lot of interesting mechanics to the game. Doctor Strange can make portals, Hulk has his iconic leap and even has a transformation mechanic where he seems to need to spend some time as Banner before he can do the real work, and Loki has some sort of copycat technique. So... teleporting teammates, leaping and getting angry, duplication... yeah maybe these aren't as unique as they sound when tied to characters with a history of using those abilities outside of games.
There does also seem to be some sort of unique "team up" mechanic, like Hulk can lend Iron Man some gamma energy to power up his big laser blasts, or Rocket can scamper onto Groot's back in classic fashion. Not sure if these are unique interactions based on specific synergies, or if it's a more modular system, like first example coming to mind, Kirby Star Allies. Either has some balance or mechanical concerns, but it certainly sounds interesting.
The third person camera is also unique for a hero shooter, which makes me anticipate a less aim-intensive game and one more about movement, ability usage, and team play. Definitely a fair choice given the cast, plus I imagine it's compelling to actually see the iconic character you're controlling.
Now a big point I wanna address:
Will this be the Overwatch killer??
...no, probably not, sorry.
I think regardless of how much this game succeeds or OW2 fails, I don't think it's going to be much of a competition. Not as in Overwatch is gonna curb stomp it, but I just don't see the two games butting heads that much. Marvel Rivals seems to be going in its own direction with the finer details, even something as simple as first versus third person camera seems to inform pretty sweeping differences.
Plus, in the past I think calling any game the "killer" of the previous big thing in the genre. Looking to Overwatch specifically, people tried to call it the TF2 killer, which... I mean TF2 kinda killed itself trying to be like Overwatch, so bad example, but even with Valve's shortsighted incompetence TF2 never totally died, it's still got a solid playerbase and plenty of fans in spite of its rough post-2016 history, and with Overwatch existing completely fine alongside it. And "Overwatch killers" have come in the past, but never really meant much to OW besides some players deciding they preferred the other game more. Apex and Valorant are more just other subgenres with a "Hero" twist and not quite the same kind of game as OW, but Paladins was undoubtedly trying to fill that more specific niche. And... it didn't totally fail. No seriously, any game that still has its fans and active players, however few, is worth respect in my book.
I think that's the beauty of it, that multiple teams are willing and able to make their own approach to the same concept! That's how we get interesting new ideas, and move the subgenre forward in cool ways! To be blunt, ideally for me OW2 AND Marvel Rivals go on to coexist and both be great! If people prefer one over the other then that's fantastic, but the fact multiple options exist with their own ideas and approaches is so cool to me.
It's like with a similar subgenre developing over the past few years: platform fighters, or "Smash clones" for the outdated term. In the release downtime after the three most recent Smash games, we saw more and more teams try their hand at that uniquely accessible and interesting subgenre of fighting games, and it's been so exciting to see progress over time. We saw a good number of indie attempts after Smash 4, but after Ultimate we've been seeing bigger and bolder teams take serious attempts at a quality contender to challenge Smash. And while each new one garnering the title of "Smash Killer" is more and more of a meme, we're now seeing games that genuinely reach that level of polish and quality. Rivals of Aether 2 is personally the one I'm SO excited about in this respect. But I also can't help but think of the one platform fighter in recent memory that genuinely did Fail, at least in temporary dramatic fashion:
...Multiversus.
Yes, the hellish concept of a free to play fighting game, which prided itself on its grind culture. Now the utterly bizarre mess that is/was/will be Multiversus is sort of a unique disaster, but I can't help but imagine the worst for Marvel Rivals just because it shares that dreaded "f2p" label. Maybe it won't be too bad, but considering early screenshots imply characters need to be unlocked makes me assume the worst.
Frankly my biggest hope, however unlikely it is, is that these two games pressure each other to fix their individual shortcomings. Have OW2 Season 10 making heroes free make Marvel want to do the same, and have Marvel's 6v6 format make OW2 bite the bullet and revert to the same to fix its otherwise impossible to solve balance mess.
...no that's a lie, my biggest hope is actually that Wasp makes it in as a support and gets a skin based on her Earth's Mightiest Heroes look. Or better yet make that the basis for her default design, the designs are another promising point for this game so I have hope they can recognize quality.

For the match-up Event:
Hobbies - gaming, art, collect Anime/Manga merchandise <333
Dislikes - really cold weather
I like to have a Partner that likes me like i am <3
Characters i don't want - Igaguri or the Wanima Twins 🙂
I match you with…
Nagi Seishiro
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
To equal your love for gaming(or just general social discourse), Nagi is definitely the person who qualifies.
This boy is very…chill. He couldn’t care less what you do, as long as it makes you happy, he guesses. He does like to have affection, though, so don’t forget you have him!
He is genuinely a tired boy. Almost anywhere, you can spot him dozing off if he isn’t already passed out. Oftentimes, he complains that the things he’s doing is “boring” and he’d rather chill out with you in his lap.
Sometimes, because of your love of anime and manga, he’ll go shopping with you to browse the sections…Only if you promise you can stop at the nearby arcade or game shop. Typically, shopping days are a win-win deal for you both.
As for your art, Nagi isn’t one with a good eye for that kind of things, but he’s not one to judge you for what you like. Oh? You find that splattered painting of an eyebrowless woman beautiful? Okay, that’s cool. It’s older than the first version of his favorite game.
Nagi likes to be accidentally competitive; meaning, when you rant to him about a new character you really like in a gacha, he does his best to upgrade his materials and pull for that one just because you like it. He doesn’t mean it to shove his luck in your face. He just gets caught up in his mind thinking about you, and randomly does those said things because he knows you like it!
During the winter, especially when it starts to snow, you two absolutely have more than ten layers on. It’s almost comedic seeing Nagi’s shirts and hoodies droop down to his knees, yet he is always cold and he hates it. Besides, Reo said his fashion was unique one time, so he stuck with it.
He even allows you to take a few of his clothing to wear in case you’re extra cold. Though, because of his height and size, his clothes may or may not be a bit(WAY) too big for you…They’re even oversized for a 6’1” beast like him!
Inside, though, isn’t much of a different story. You two would be cozy as hell with all of the pillows, blankets, and high-level heater on. Mugs full of hot chocolate surround you while you two have controllers in your hands, pressing the buttons as you play the current games to pass time.
Overall, though Nagi is a little too chill, he doesn’t seem to have any issues in getting along with you. In fact, he likes to takes naps on your lap or shoulder, and he generally adores having you around. You’re a person willing to date a bum like him, so it’s only fair he shows you how he feels towards that.

Unit Teambuilding - Palentine’s Elesa
The other one feels like a gift to my wife.  She's a big fan of train bros and Elesa, so this one seems made for her.  For me...yeah, it's solid.  I actually like Togetic a lot, I don't feel like it gets enough appreciation compared to the other evolutionary stages, but it's cute.
General Overview Flying Striker focused on physical.  I hate to say it, but while this is fairly unique because most are special, this puts her in competition with Anni Steven and Kahili.  You may think this is a battle she wins automatically.  Haha...ha...
Elesa's sync is roughly on par with Kahili's, though with EX.  The downside is, it's 100% reliant on on-type damage, while Kahili's is just Haymaker.  In Gauntlet contexts, Kahili wins.  Elesa has better setup and better DPS, though. Admittedly though, Kahili also has most consistent utility in Defense Crush, while Elesa has potentially massive benefits, but highly dependent on what she rolls and how well it lands.
Compared to Anni Steven, she's using far less gauge to attack, but has a worse time facilitating gauges due to a lack of speed buffs.  She's also lacking the same capacity for bulk that Anni Steven possesses.  Instead of consistent defense boosts, she has evasion potential, which...is not a great trade.  But both are equally bopped by Sure Hit/Sure Crit combos in Gauntlet, so it may be a moot point.  Weakness to Steel is a lot less devastating than weakness to Ice though.
I think on the whole, she's reliant on her sync for damage, while Metronome has the potential to do incredible things, but makes no promises.  1/18 odds for a specific move is bad, and you're realistically looking at five options that can do something, not all of which are useful.  I don't think Elesa's particularly bad.  But I don't think she's especially good either.
EX and Move Level? Elesa, as a unit who thrives on her sync, probably wants EX more than most.   She's not really able to handle things with just Metronome, and Fly is...inconsistent, to say the least.  Move level, as a result, is best at 3/5 for the multipliers, but if you're using her off-type, which is almost every Gauntlet stage, then it doesn't really matter.
Team 1: P!Elesa, Falkner, Farfetch'd P!Elesa can self-buff reliably, but having Super Preparation as an option on trainer move on her grid means you may want to avoid spamming it, instead relying on an ally like Falkner to buff your offenses instead.   Farfetch'd is chosen to use Leer, setting up the AoE EX sync.
Team 2: P!Elesa, BP Morty, Lodge N/Ramos Elesa's sync focus has two applications.  One is, she's strong against Tapu Bulu naturally thanks to typing, so any sleep chain option can stall it for her while she sets up.  The other is Azelf, whose damage reduction doesn't apply to sync, allowing her to just muscle through pending sleep.  As a self-sufficient buff bot, all she really needs is defense support, something BP Morty can easily provide.
Final Thoughts There isn't much that Elesa does specifically on this alt.  It's a bit of an unusual kit, but I kinda like it.  I didn't really get to bring up the Fly dodge thing, because...well, she has no other tools for survival beyond minor evasion, but still!  And the multipliers she does get for her attacks are really interesting, so whatever she pulls out of Metronome has a solid chance to deal real damage!  I don't think it'll be exceptional, but it sure will be there.  And hey, Togetic is cool.  I like it a lot.

I think TNA and Surrender are the worst written attempts at problematic tropes/darkfic from PB.
TCH at least had a cohesive story. WB too, as annoying and tropey as Bastien was. Haven't read Queen B yet but as far as I'm concerned that story was well aware of MC having shitty behaviors and even tried to have her develop from that.
But Surrender and TNA fail because they somewhat try to use serious themes but only end up contradicting them.
TNA for instance revolves entirely around Sam and MC having an affair, yet they're always criticizing Robin and Sofia for doing the exact same shit. And to add salt to the wound, they force us to support Jenny and Aditya's affair (despite them being 100000× less sympathetic than Sofia and Robin). It's like one of those lampshadey self-aware jokes, except worse because they're forcing me to take everything seriously this time.
And it's not just in the aspect of cheating. MC and Jenny criticize Addi for being petty to "one up" MC then proceed to have options where MC can be petty and "one up" Addi.
It's like PB maybe wanted to say that they don't condone cheating but they couldn't be assed to just say so in a damn content warning because they wanted to have their cake and eat it too.
And Surrender... what else is there to say? The story revolves around MC escaping a toxic spouse and supposedly finding herself through kink. But she's doing so with someone who basically preys on her while she's still vulnerable and tries to coerce her into BDSM no less than 10 minutes after they first meet. Granted Pat and Reagan are both toxic in completely different ways (whereas MC/Sam amd Sofia/Robin did the exact same thing) but STILL. It's like going from drinking dysentery-inducing mudwater to drinking some super toxic chemical, where said super toxic chemical is made all bright and pretty-looking to make it seem better than the dysentery-inducing mudwater.
And it leaves both of them feeling like wasted potential.
I vastly prefer TCH to Wolf Bride, and I vastly prefer Wolf Bride to TNA and Surrender, which are really stiff competition for each other.
TCH’s strong suit was its cohesiveness. Kieran never grew on me because they left a really awful taste in my mouth and didn’t seem to grow realistically. Wolf Bride was…well, it had its own…unique…problems. And the Queen B MC did grow at one point, but still reverted right back into her old catty, needlessly cruel ways, and didn’t really receive any consequences for it.
The Nanny Affair was really just a series where everyone had this holier than thou attitude and it did not suit any of them well. The MC and Sam, forgetting about their toxic relationship for a minute, are both so hypocritical it’s laughable. You’re really going to shame Sofia for doing the exact thing you’re doing? And the Addison thing was a whole mess. Hey kids, your new soon-to-be stepmother bought you this really cool gift! Not because she thought you’d really like it or anything, just to one-up your mom!
Also a side note: Sam was so similar to my abusive ex that it was frightening at times. Like, some of the things they did and said were absolutely uncanny. It was jarring.
As for Surrender, that one’s just a toxic cesspool from the get go. The roots are rotten to the core so just uproot that whole tree. I feel bad for the MC. She seems like a genuinely good person and doesn’t deserve any of the shit Reagan and Pat give/gave her.
Every book and idea has potential, but as you said, the potential was wasted.

top 10 books of 2022 countdown: #9
The Sunbearer Trials- Aiden Thomas
I absolutely loved "Cemetery Boys" when I read it back in 2020 but I hadn't read anything by Aiden Thomas since, so I was anxious that this wouldn't live up to my expectations. I really shouldn't have been worried, however, as this book absolutely blew me away. I feel like it took a lot of elements that I've read in other books and though "oh that would be so cool if it was just executed better" and then combined and executed them perfectly.
Now, something you've got to know about me is that I love a tournament. I will go absolutely nuts for a book with a good tournament structure, especially if it has either futuristic/sci-fi or fantasy-style competitions. Unfortunately, I tend to distrust this plot device as I've read far too many books where the tournament is disrupted mid-book and never picked up again. Thankfully (I don't think this is a major spoiler, sorry if it is) the tournament is followed more or less to the very end, which did a lot for me just as a baseline for my positive feelings towards this book. It also provided a very solid basis for the pacing/plot development, increasing the tension slowly but surely whilst ensuring that no part of the book was completely devoid of excitement or action. Each of the competitions was so well-written and I felt like I was watching a competition live, but I was actually interested in the sports and events because they were so varied and exciting. And then the ending, oh my god the ending. And that is all I will say on that.
Now for the characters. In one word: fantastic. Each of the characters in this book felt unique and interesting and Aiden Thomas never shied away from the fact that all of them were just teenagers, and it very much felt like that. The characters had the impulsivity, pettiness and desperation of teenagers who couldn't quite process that they were fighting for their lives. The friendship between the main three characters was so well-written and I loved that it was more of a focus than the romance (which I didn't mind, I'm just a bit done with romance in YA). Seeing the main characters just have fun together provided a funny and entertaining break from the action whilst subtly raising the stakes.
Finally, the worldbuilding. I love mythology, and this book was based around a mythology that I did not know much about, so learning about that through this was very interesting and the whole concept (demigods/semidioses), despite being quite heavily used across fantasy literature as a whole, felt original and fresh in this book.
I need the sequel now.
Also thank you to pride book tours (@/pridebooktours on insta) for giving me a free advanced copy of this book. That was so cool.

THE FINAL ONE: The Reboot
Under the Cut, but this is it! The end! I hope y'all liked my crossover!
Scary Girl AKA Lauren: She'd be a Gengar; Shadowy ghost of a (suspected) Clefairy that takes delight in tormenting others? Check. No idea what boundaries are? Check. Unintentionally creepier when attempting to be "normal"? Check.
Priya, The Novice of Everything: Thinking about Priya and her ridiculous amount of training toward TDI, I would think her season 1 self would be a Gabite; pretty well rounded, but not quite there yet. When Season 2 rolls around, she shows up fully evolved as a Garchomp. This is because it is one of the best all-around statwise non-legendary pokemon, it is well known as Cynthia's BEST pokemon, but it does have a fatal flaw in that x4 weakness to ice, which is the chink in its armor, so I'd say this reflects Priya fairly well.
Zee, The Good Vibes Only Guy: Zee would be a Clodsire. I wanted to make him a bit different from a Quagsire, especially since I already put a Quagsire on Owen's team. Still similar chilling and vibing but making Zee a bit different. Clodsire also works as it mostly just helps others and only attacks via reaction, when it itself is attacked.
Caleb, the Smoking Hot Player: Caleb is honestly the most boring player. As Chris said, YA BASIC. So Caleb strikes me as a pikachu, but during the series his traits lent themselves more to something like a Fighting type.
I chose Breloom for him; Grass/Fighting, very cute but often outperformed by better types.
Nichelle, Gorgeous with a Side of Substance: Pawmi -> Pawmot. Similar to Priya, Nichelle's season 1 appearance was underwhelming, but upon her return to season 2, she'd evolved. I made her a pikachu clone, because in universe, she's supposed to be popular and Pawmot actually does have good stats, and is a unique combination of types and can be used fairy effectively.
Chase & Emma, The Youtubers: Grimmsnarl and Hatterene, respectively. Introduced in the same game, opposing types, both male/female majority for their species, this felt natural. They butt heads just as often as they make up. While Chase can be useful at times, Emma is often overwhelmed with intense dislike and knows how to get inside his head.
Raj & Wayne, The Hockey Bros: These two share one braincell, and they're very good people but seem to be unable to really think for themselves. I decided on similar but different pokemon for them; I made Raj a Bolthund and Wayne a Manectric. Good kids, but uh...not exactly a lot going on upstairs.
Bowie, The Loveable Party Boy: Sneaseler, a competitive loner, who is another odd type; poison/fighting makes sense for his competitive streak driving him to do anything to win, but he often sets himself apart from everyone else. Being a cat-like pokemon also ties in his similarities to MK and Julia
Julia, The Influencer and Evil in Human Form: Liepard, as it is beautiful but this belies its cruel and merciless nature. Julia fits right into that, as of course, her season 1 personality was very "ASMR influencer" vs who she really is. It also explains her relationships with MK and Bowie, who share their own competitive streaks
Mary-Kate "MK", The Outrageous and Underestimated: MK is, of course, a Sneasel. Sneaky, devious and willing to do whatever it takes, MK is well suited to the dark type. Her typing also shows as much as she wasn't close to anyone in Season 1, Season 2 she's developed a (b)romance with Julia
Damien, The Reactionary: Surprising no one, Damien is an Absol; poor kid is filled with DOOOM signals from the beginning, and is scared of his own shadow. He's also fairly likable so it makes sense he's an Absol, the pokemon for Emo Kids
Ripper, The Bad Boy: Alolan Muk. He's an odd mix between toxic and useful, I decided on Alolan Muk. Ripper has an open mouth, insert foot problem more often than not.
Axel, The Hard Core: Scizor; a very cool pokemon in appearance, and while it can be strong, the x4 weakness to Fire really makes it less useful, so I feel it reflects Axel pretty well.
Millie, The Book-Smart One: Delphox. An odd type combo, and while her psychic type shows her smarts, the fire typing shows Millie's inability to plan for much.

OMG hiiii dw abt it at all! your answer is long enough and im so sorry :( i hope you feel better now/soon!!
thank youu omg well im in my first year so we do a bit of everything! some coding like coding websites and stuff and some written computer problems as well! (i would explain but it's kinda hard to and i suck at explaining so asdhkjasdhjh) its a bit of everything! programming (practical) and theory!
ahsdjkahsdkj owning two trousers is so real lmao i think i only own one pair ajskldsjad and they are flared so not fit for all weathers ajksdhkjsah they sound sooo cute! if you wouldnt mind sharing them, i'd love to see them! but thats totally up to you! i dont want to make you uncomfortable at all so the choice is yours! im just a lil nosy hehe
omg same when i was a kid i once ate like an entire chocolate egg in a day! the time after that was hell i was sooo sick but its worthh itttttt and yes exactly!! like whenever i was young i had school assemblies and they were all like 'i dont play to draw i play to win' and like yeah so real! as long as no ones too mean and harsh while being competitive then go nuts! i love a little competition!! stardew valley is more of like a relaxing game for me! also animal crossing but like i get so frustrated when i cant catch a fish asjkdhaskj fishing is HELLLLLL in animal crossing alksdjlksj
awww thank youu! your hair sounds beautiful the compliments are most definitely soo valid! my hair never reached that point when i was young tho bc its like SOOOO frizzy and fluffy it almost grows outwards rather than down askjdhkasjh so it was always kinda short and super fluffy ajsdskjh
i think stuff abt the modern day world i really hate is that almost everyones so pretentious nowadays like you see someone and youre like oh theyre nice speaking out abt this and turns out that its all hypocritical and shit but also that feels like its not exactly modern? so ill give another answer and that is INFLATION! everything nowadays is soooo expensive oh my god! and yes governments is so reall
hmm, smth in the next five years... this is sooo not related at all and im totally twisting the meaning of your question but my online friends ajsdhkajsdh okay but serious answer? i wish to see less labour! like yk sites that use fast fashion and stuff that force labour onto people and children and i want that to be addressed and reduced bc like. no. labour is bad how is it acceptable for people to pay such horrible wages to their workers who make them so much money!! that feels so cruel! what about you?
and my question for you: what is something in/from a person that makes them absolutely unacceptable in your eyes? (i dont think that makes sense lmao) basically if you were friends w someone, whats one thing they could do to make you immediately see them as a red flag or like not like them/block them immediately (apart from them saying the r word!)
byee have an awesome day!
-swiftie spring exchange anon!
Hello again! I am doing better atm - I've basically had like, one long bug for three weeks, and like...I'd start feeling better. Go to work. Get worse from the exertion. Have to miss work. Get better slightly, so go to work...yeah XD I do seem to be on the mend now, I've just got a bit of residual pain and cough, and some of my underlying issues are being a bit unpleasant. But I'm taking it XD I had to take almost a week off work last week but I think the prolonged rest helped.
And hey that sounds really cool though!! So guessing you're in uni then? How's that going? Where I am it's starting to come up to exam season, so the people that I know are in uni at the moment are all quite stressed, bless them.
I don't mind showing you them like, privately, but due to my style being quite...unique (by courtsey of making a lot of it) I try to keep it off public tumblr to some extent, just because anyone who knows me would know immediately this was me. Tbh it's not a big deal if they did, but since I work with kids I feel the need to be more careful with social media these days.
And ok but see, I have very straight hair, and I've always wanted frizzy/fluffy hair!! Sometimes I fear we just want what we don't have XD
I think the hypocrisy is related to the modern world however! Social media kinda encourages a very black and white thinking of things, and most things are not so black and white (I mean like, obviously if someone's like. "Haha, I want to murder babies"...that's not a black and white issue. But you get me XD) So you end up with people being like "x is always bad". Then they'll later be like..."this thing that's basically x is fine"?
Inflation is SHIT. Look when I moved into my current place my phone bill was exactly 10 quid a month. It's not like 13 something!! It's not the biggest hike, my energy bill has freaking doubled, but by nature of it starting at a solid 10 I can see the inflation so much easier. It's a 30% increase!!
And see I am very lucky, I have seen a few online friends! My gf and I met through tumblr, and I've got two close friends that by thankful virtue of being in the same country I've been able to meet quite a few times...I met one who I've since lost contact with sadly, but I'm hoping to meet a couple more! OH and one is in a ldr with one of my close friends so I'll see her when she comes here (well I should do) but idk when that would be yet.
And look I have SO many fast fashion complaints. A big reason why I do so much thrifting and sewing is because I just hate fast fashion. I know it's sorta popular in some circles to talk about the shit quality, but it's shit because companies are paying people like a penny a piece for it -.- I refuse to use places like shein and temu...
I think in the next five years...generally I'm wanting to see a shift in climate change. I have a lot of climate anxiety, and I'm hoping that we start getting actual change in how politicians and companies approach the issues?? I want more eco changes. More bikes, cheaper plant based food, less fossil fuels, etc...I also want my government to stop making life harder for no reason. They recently decided people who have visas to work in the care industry over here can't have their kids come from overseas too?? Like there are people who now have their kids in other countries cause of this shit??? If they're working here, they deserve their kids to be here. How is that not the default idea!!
Less generally, I'm hoping to see improvements in my personal life XD I want to see a couple doctors to get some shit sorted out, and I want to improve my art further, and sort out where exactly I'm going with my career.
And nah that makes perfect sense! Honestly I'm a bit of a pushover, I'll take a lot from people. I think mainly the things that will really make me go. Hm. I mean, if you're outright a really terrible person (like if you told me you murder babies for fun, to use my "terrible person" example from above XD) I'm not gonna be interested in talking to you, but that's kinda obvious. But I think the things that make me go "red flag" are usually more personal things based on past experience. For example, I knew someone once who would move my mobility aids away from me, and I'd be like...right well I can't. Move now. Please give them back. And they're one of the few people I've cut contact with. But tbh I feel like I probably need more boundaries, I just get like...what if I'm being too harsh on this person XD
What about you tho??
See you again soon, hope your day has been well when you see this!!
EDIT: I forgot to ask a question back!! D: If you could make one trivial change to the world what would it be? Has to be something small, like...renaming strawberries to be fluffleberries, or making bananas rainbow XD

Game Blog 1: Too Many Cooks
Let’s talk about characters in video games. Specifically the characters in the last RPG that I made, Trash Planet. In my opinion, there were too many playable characters in the game, and in my [UNANNOUNCED GAME], I’m limiting myself to 8 different characters (including the main character) in the party throughout the game.
Press the useful button below to keep reading...
WHY LIMIT YOURSELF?
The less characters there are in the game, the more fully developed the characters can be. My games can’t rely on graphics or in-depth game play, so I have to make well developed characters that people like / are interested in at least in order to keep players around through the whole game. My first game, Hellbound, only has four playable characters in the game. The good part about this was that I was really able to go deep on each character. The bad part of this is that, well, there’s only four characters, and the main character doesn’t even talk. So the number of unique voices is a little low for my standards nowadays.
In Trash Planet, there’s technically eleven playable characters, if you count Scrappy (spoilers?). Even without Scrappy, that’s ten. That’s a lot! The reason for this is because I actually wrote and DM’d Trash Planet as a TTRPG before making it a video game. I got attached to each character, and even though I could have cut a couple of them, I wanted to put them in the video game because they were in the TTRPG. The good part about having this many characters is that there’s a lot of unique voices, AND I could be more liberal about killing off characters. The downside of having this many characters is that not all of them have importance to the plot in a meaningful way.
That’s why I’ve settled on eight for [UNANNOUNCED GAME]. I think this will give me a little leeway to kill off a couple major characters without making the team feel hollow. Also with only 8, one of which being the player’s own character, each character should serve a specific purpose in the story.
WHAT’S THE CUT?
I am an avid (and sometimes competitive) Magic: The Gathering player. If you’re aware of MTG, you might have noticed some MTG references in my various games. When making a finely-tuned Magic: The Gathering deck, a question you often must ask yourself is: What’s the cut? Sure, there’s a cool new card that just came out, and you want to put it in your deck... But what do you cut from your deck to make room for that new card? It’s never wise just to jam more cards into your deck without first getting rid of something else.
So let’s apply this logic to Trash Planet. There are ten characters that we’re working with (I’m not counting Scrappy). If I was to hold myself to the 8 character limit like I am with the new game, what’s the cut?
First, I think I would cut Omen. She’s a fun character, and she was particularly cool in the TTRPG that I ran of Trash Planet. That being said, I think her power conflicts with Guuchi’s, and her pre-determination power didn’t end up being as important to the video game as it was to the TTRPG. I think if I were to make Trash Planet again now, I would cut Omen but combine elements of her character with Guuchi. For instance, Omen is the female-female love interest that’s available for Tilda. In a re-envisioned Trash Planet, this element would probably be carried over to Guuchi. I may have also used some of Omen’s visual elements when combining her with Guuchi, because I always thought Omen’s face-sprite was one of the better one’s I’ve ever done.
Second, I would cut Ride. He’s also fun, but he’s just a reference to the lead singer of Death Grips. He’s useful in the late game because he has really high attack damage output, but I think I could have beefed up Phede / Guuchi / Mendy’s damage in the late game and had the same effect. For this cut to have worked, I would not have had to change the story much. Ride could still have helped the party break out of the Mega Prison, but not joined the party.
I think another character that could have been cut would have been Mendy. She does come along pretty late in the game, but she provides useful utility as a healing character. I think by cutting Ride and Omen, I would have freed up some space for Mendy to breathe a bit more.
Obviously if I’m cutting Omen and Ride in this theoretical re-imagined version of Trash Planet, that means I’m cutting two of the three characters of color in the game. I think this could be remedied in a re-imagined version by redesigning Guuchi and another character’s sprite (Tilda? Mendy?). This is something I would have had to deal with if I cut these characters from the game.
That being said, I have no plans to edit Trash Planet any further. It’s going to stand as it is. I’m just thinking about the playable characters ahead of [UNANNOUNCED GAME] because I want to make the best game I possibly can.
If you got this far, thanks for reading! I’ll reward you with face sprites of some of the party members from the new game:

Alright let’s wrap up this cycle , Starting with the runway I’m not a super big fan of runway but I tried and made notes about there walks so starting with Olga
1 Olga - she look really good actually I thought she was the best walker of 3 she look confident and holds clothes really well her first walk was stellar she walk nicely and held her own the pink runway and feathers wasn’t as strong but still good
2 Kyveli - Kyveli did good on her 2nd walk in the pink outfit and the feathers but I really wasn’t a fan of her first walk she looked weak and the way she was walking I was afraid she might fall which I don’t think is really good for runway
3 Kosos - His walk was ok he never looked weak or struggled in any major areas I just don’t like his walk in general it’s very hippy and he sways his body a lot it makes sense for him but I think I would’ve like to see him tone it down
Liquor Ads
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Before we start I will say the liquor ads where fucking wild it more or less looked like an editorial rather then an ad for a product with how much had to be done
1 Olga - I don’t think anyone did anything more then the other but I will say Olga In this ad just command attentions and I think she’s stunning she did everything well
2 Kosos - Kosos looked really cool I like his vibe In the commercial but him in it didn’t really make sense if I’m being honest he looked good and acted good is walking was actually toned down he might’ve done the best out of the 3 but for me his look was just kinda random
3 Kyveli - Again she did alright an all aspects of the brand she looks sleek and cool and edgy but her presence was just kinda timid in the commercial in moments where I felt you where suppose to leave an impression she just didn’t and do that so she lands in the bottom spot
Overall the winner was Kyveli !!!!!!!
I think she was definitely the number 1 choice for a winner she took a few weeks to get her stride but once she started she never stop being at the top and typically dominated the competition she was given the villain edit mainly because she wasn’t friends with most of them
Onto Kosos , Olga I would’ve rather Kosos win personally he was my number one pick to win when the cycle started and I’m glad he made it to too 3 but I do think he was a tad weaker then Kyveli and his 3 FCO where def given I think unfortunately to be “woke” as he I only agreed with His art photo being FCO his concert FCO they put him in a skirt and his photo was good but there was a lot better and the other one was his gender fluid photo it def wasn’t FCO it was def. Good but he was i more worthy of a runner up I think onto Olga I think she’s an odd choice for a runner up she very much was plain and stunning but I think this cycle theme was more about like a newer more unique kinds beauty which is why I think people like Ageos and Dino’s John and Styleanos where Eliminated because they where much more classic and why I think Napoleon was pushed so hard overall I really liked this cycle and I’m sad next cycle guys won’t be returning
